The white dress.
The diamond ring.
The full church.
The . . . missing groom.

Molly Miller had become a cliché when Jackson Davis left her at the altar, but she’d crawled back from the heartbreak and embarrassment and was living her dream of running a successful eatery in San Francisco.

Well, good riddance. She didn’t need Jackson, or any other man in her life. She had Molly’s, her restaurant, she had her customers, and she finally had found some happy.

Who cared that she had unanswered questions as to why Jackson had left? It didn’t matter. He’d gone and that was that. Moving on, grinding out one day in front of another, baking her way through her emotions and generally moving on with her life.

Until . . . one early morning Jackson walked through the front door of her restaurant.

And her whole world imploded.

Jumping into this read, I liked the direction it was heading: tarnished relationship, left at the alter, loved one targeted by the mafia after a deal goes wrong, potential second chance romance before hitting the 18% where I was left WTFing with the random ass sex scene I was not expecting.

During their reunion, there was barely any groveling or talk of reconciliation before the characters randomly kiss that eventually led them to have hot office sex. It escalated so fast, I was completely thrown by it that I couldn't help but actually laughed out loud. It was so out of the blue considering the main characters have gone four years without seeing one another and to then be in each other's presences for a mere few hours before that all happened?! Yeah no, I wasn’t feeling that.

That said, if we over look that particular scene ‘Bad Wedding’ was a decent nice second romance filled with hot steamy scenes, scorching chemistry, endless drama, and the perfect amount of suspense.

It’s no secret that I’m an Elise Faber fan so I’m not going to rehash that particular point. You should read her work. The end.

Now, about this book … I didn’t love everything. I wasn’t a huge fan at how the story started and how quickly it snowballed in the beginning. I understand the why of it all but it just felt like wham bam the past is the past and left’s move forward and sex and end scene. It’s not a big deal, but I really think if the beginning of this story was as fleshed out as the rest of the story, it would have catapulted this book to a 5 star read for me. I’m not really used to this type of thing from this author and not sure why she made the choices she did but *shrug* it is what it is. Second thing that grated on me was the over use of terms of endearment. I have nothing against them, but 18 times is a lot LOL Okay, I’m done!

I really enjoyed how fast-paced and suspenseful this story turned out to be. That’s what kept me turning the pages. I also very much enjoyed Molly! Excellent character development! The chemistry between Jackson and Molly was also very much on point. Overall, I’d say that once again Elise Faber has written an excellent second chance contemporary romance and you should all invest time in reading it!

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

Bad wedding was the 9th book in the Billionaire club romance by Elise Faber. Told in dual perspectives , this was one hell of a contemporary Romance!!

This was the first book that I have read by this author , and I must say that I am not disappointed. In fact I am on my way of stalking the shit out of her other books!! Bad wedding was a story based on a wedding gone wrong.

Here we get to meet Jackson and Molly. Both were engaged to each other at some point in the past . That is until Jackson left Molly at the altar. That was one heartbreaking scene. Now after many years , Molly is the successful owner of her own shop . Everything was going fine until one day her ex- fiance returned.

To say she was angry would be an understatement. I mean she threw the cookie plate at him 😂. Years ago both Jackson and Molly had started this business together and now Molly wanted him to cut ties from it. As soon as Jackson saw those papers and Molly's demands , he refused. Now he is back to convince her to give him another chance.

He finally tells her what happened years ago , that made him cut ties to her in such a brutal way. However , meeting her again after all these years ,once again brings danger to her doorstep. Now it is upto Jackson to run away from her again or to stay with her and protect her.

This Book was an amazing Contemporary romance read for all the rom-com lovers out there and is recommended to all the people who would love a spitfire heroine and hero who doesn't know how to give up!!

Molly has decided to finally sever the last tie between her and her ex fiancé, the fiancé who left her at the altar. That was years ago, but since then, Molly has become a much stronger, self-reliant woman who does not need a man to be successful. Then Jackson walks back into her life and refuses to leave. You see, he actually had a valid reason for leaving her back then, and he wants to explain. Will she let him back into her life? Will he be able to protect her when his past comes calling?

I gotta say, I felt for Molly. She was so angry at Jackson, with good reason, and he was so stubborn about being back in her life. I'm honestly not sure I would have been able to forgive him if he had done it to me, regardless of his reason. But even though I am not sure if he deserved a second chance, I liked their story and that Molly grew so much in the time that Jackson was gone. I may not have been all that fond of Jackson, but I liked Molly and I liked the story.

Bad Wedding is the 9th book in the Billionaire Club series by Elise Faber. This is Molly and Jackson's story. Theirs is a 2nd chance romance /Russian Mafia / Romantic Suspense romance story.
I really enjoyed reading about the love story that Molly and Jackson shared until he left her quite literally at the alter on the day of their wedding 4 years before. Molly was so heartbroken and never understood why Jackson did that. She thought she had moved on and was doing ok, was thriving with her bakery until her ex fiancé showed back up. The chemistry between Jackson and Molly is electrifying. Oh there's a good reason why Jackson did what he did. And there's a reason why he's back now. Will Molly be able to forgive and take Jackson back? Will the bad guys get what they've been trying to get? The twists and turns are intense , filled with intrigue and suspense and yes, it does get emotional. Really good read!!

It’s been years since Jackson removed himself from Molly’s life not because he didn’t love her but because he did. He now believes that his past will no longer be a factor in their relationship, but will he be able to convince her to give him a second chance?

Molly was devastated when Jackson left her at the altar with no explanation or further contact. She has focused her attention on ensuring her bakery is a success, but she never expected that trying to end their professional relationship would bring him back in her life personally.

There was no denying the chemistry and connection between them but overcoming their pasts takes them on a journey filled with emotion and intrigue.

I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one seating and really have only one thing that I had problem with and that was the use of word HONEY...I don't know why but everytime someone used it it just felt wrong.

Now back to the good stuff; I liked the chemistry between Molly and Jackson. They shared a bond that was hard to shake. Despite all the hurt they both had fears that made them a bit broken but together they helped each other to become perfect.

I can't wait to read the next installment in the series as well as the beginning of a new one. That Dan has me intrigued.

Unexpectedly enjoyable
5 stars

This is my first Elise Faber book and it was not a disappointment - I enjoyed it from the first page to the last.

The unexpectedness in this book was because I thought I knew what I was getting - a cute second chance romance. And I was very happy with that fact. So colour me surprised when the Russian mafia show up in the book and suddenly there’s guns and dodging bullets and big scary dudes and hiding out with some shadowy secret agent operatives! This was not what I was expecting…but I ain’t mad. It wasn’t dark and dismal (like I expect any book that includes the word ‘mafia’ to be (sorry!)) - and the main focus of the story was definitely still the love story between Molly and Jackson. It actually turned into a bit of a fun romp - and I loved that.

Before it got to that point, I was already impressed with how easily Ms Faber pulled me into the story. The chapters are short and snappy - easily giving you that ‘oh, I’ll just read one more’ idea until you look up and the book’s nearly done. I never got bored and kept on wanting to find out what would happen next.

The story is written in third person, past tense in the heads of both Molly and Jackson. That being said, I was firmly on team Molly to begin with and was as annoyed at Jackson as she herself was. I didn’t agree with his motives or his decisions regarding the wedding - but I slowly forgave him just as Molly did. It was cleverly done.

This is the 9th book in the Billionaire’s Club series but, as I mentioned, this is the first I’ve read of Ms Faber’s so I obviously haven’t read any of the rest of the series. At the beginning of this book there’s a list of who’s who from the series so far and that gave me the fear - I would NEVER remember all these names or how they were interconnected. I actually don’t think there were any cameos from any of these people so I needn’t have worried. Regardless, this book stands completely alone so no other books are required to enjoy this one.

Having said that, the secret agents appear to be getting their own spin-off series and I while Molly and Jackson’s part in the Russian mafia is over, I suppose the overall threat from the group hasn’t really gone away which will probably be picked up in the first of the aforementioned KTS series, Riding The Edge. And I probably will pick that one up, too, as I loved Dan. He reminded me of FBI agent Doug Matthews from McMillions - who I have a (not so secret) crush on!

There’s not much sex in this book - so when it does happen it’s explosive! A bit of angry sex when Molly and Jackson re-meet after 4 years. It was near the start of the book and while it was very hot, the fact that there’s not much after that fact is something I didn’t even realise until I finished the book. I love me a bit of sex in a book and I didn’t miss it as there was so many other things going on. During the sex - and in discussions afterwards - there’s a bit of backdoor access tinkering but nothing you can’t gloss over if that’s not your thing. And there's plenty of intimacy, kissing and the like to keep everyone, including me, happy.

I loved both Molly and Jackson as characters. I especially liked the honesty between them, especially on Molly’s end, in that she realised that after her wedding-that-wasn’t, she grew and became so much more. Jackson was proud of her and, you know, I was, too. I actually found her quite inspiring.

And I also really liked the fact that Jackson (and on occasion Molly, too) used many, many terms of endearment. It was sweet and really spoke of the deep feelings that Jackson still held for Molly. I read a book last week that made me #TeamHug - now I’m also #TeamEndearment.

There are three epilogues for this story - love me an epilogue - but only 1 for this particular story. One then sets up the next book in the series, Bad Engagement, which again sounds like a fun, fake-relationship romance - that’ll probably turn into another fun romp. The third sets up the KTS series as above.

Overall, this was a fabulously fun romp of a second chance romance and I loved every minute of it. It wasn’t what I anticipated but in the end I got something I hadn’t been expecting but ended up enjoying even more than I probably would have. 5 stars and I will look out for other books by Elise Faber in the future as I loved her style. Recommended.

Molly and Jackson

Unforgivable.
Inexcusable.

Jackson is a completely untrustworthy person.

Molly is a fool. She forgave him almost immediately after an unbelievable betrayal.

This is the only story in the series I didn't like.

Jackson should have had to crawl naked over a mile of burning tires for step ONE of his grovel.

DNF.

I really liked the premise of this book. Four years ago, Jackson left Molly at the alter. She pulled up her bootstraps, built a successful business, and carved out a life for herself. One day, Jackson walks into her bakery and wants her back. There is a lot of "oh baby" and "oh honey" and then they are having sex in the back of her store. The reunion was far too quick for me and it made me lose all interest in the book. I have a lot loaded on my Kindle and decided to move on to something else.

This is Jackson and Molly’s story. Four years ago, they were engaged and on the threshold of marrying. That is until Jackson never showed up for their wedding day. After years, Molly has turned her Bakery in to a huge success. Molly is ready to cut the final tie between her and Jackson. She is ready to buy him out of her Bakery. Jackson isn’t ready to let Molly go. Even though he has left he has still always kept tabs on her out of safety and love. Molly doesn’t really forgive and forget Jackson for what he did four years ago. As soon as Jackson saw those papers and Molly's demands, he refused. Now he is back to convince her to give him another chance.

This story was not just a typical second chance romance. There were reasons Jackson didn’t show up for his wedding day. I don’t agree with how he handled things, but I get it. As you get to know Molly you are rooting for them. You want them to be able to move past the threat and find their HEA. I really liked Molly. She is strong and sassy. She is being her best self-making a success of things since experiencing the biggest heartbreak of her life. Like many of us she wonders if thing would be different if she and Jackson had made other choices. The biggest thing is she has become more self-reliant. She does not need Jackson to provide for her or take care of her.
This Book was a great Contemporary romance read for all the rom-com lovers out there. This is a quick and easy read; it can be read as a standalone or as a part of the series. Be prepared for a strong and sassy Female Lead who doesn’t know how to give up! This story is told in dual perspectives. We come to expect from Faber this is a fantastic example of contemporary Romance!

This was 4/5 Read for me. Second Chance romances are not my favorite and I think Jackson might have needed to be smacked upside the head.

Four years after leaving Molly at the altar, thinking something horrible had happened to him on the way to the ceremony, Jackson shows up in her namesake restaurant/bakery. After learning that her life had been in danger due to her connection with Jackson, she thought she'd finally have some closure.

Jackson had to fight to stay away from Molly for four long years, but thought he was finally safe to see her. Now she has a target on her back again, and the case is too close to breaking wide open and the plan is to stick close by her side...and if he can convince her to give him another shot, all the better.

Bad Wedding is an action packed and chemistry filled second chance story. While Jackson and Molly can both see where they made mistakes in the past, all of the emotions are still right there under the surface, and this may just be the chance they needed to get everything right. Molly has spent the past four years building her business and slaying her demons, and she's come out on the other side stronger and more independent than she ever was when she and Jackson were together. She doesn't want what they had before - she wants more.

I loved Jackson and Molly's story, and was so happy that we get to learn more of Molly, who's been in the background of both the Billionaire's Club and Gold Hockey series by Faber. And it was so worth the wait!

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This looks like the end of this Bad series and I am super sad to see it go. This story is very much a stand alone book and the other characters in this series are very loosely in it. More of a mention as they eat at Molly’s bakery, rather than actually in this story.

Molly had a VERY BAD wedding and honestly what happens to her, I was not sure Jackson could ever come back from. But well he does have a great reason and that reason brings him back into Molly’s life and trouble follows. As the two deal with it they also deal with who they have become and see if they can have a future with who they are 4 years after the Bad Wedding.

I liked Molly and Jackson alot but I missed having the gang be a part of this storyline. I really have loved this series and all the characters so I really missed that in this book. But Molly is really not a close friend and more of an acquaintance so I also understood why they were not more prominent.

This was a wonderful series and I highly recommend it. If you haven’t read it yet, be sure and start at the first book because all the books are very connected to each other and each book follows a new couple.

I love this series and I also totally love every book that Elise Faber has written. This one is a second chance love story about Molly and Jackson. He left her hours before their wedding. Now he's back . He needs to explain why...but this explanation means danger.
The story is tough and well written. There is a lot of chemistry between the characters, and other persons around give the story a very suspenseful drive. I love the way Elise Faber characterizes her protagonists, with open hearts and belonging and longing. And her characters talk to each other, about what happened and why, so they can understand, forgive and grow with these knowings. And sometimes they fell in love again ( or never stopped loving). One scene was a bit strange for me. They met after four years of hate and heartbreaking grief and Molly wants to have sex with him ? Okay maybe he is that hot.....
I like about Elise's writing style that she often forms sentences from a word with a period mark behind it. So the cinema in my head knows clearly what movie to play.
Damn.well.written.

If you were stood up at the alter the day of your wedding would you be willing to give that person a second chance? BAD WEDDING is a second chance romance and Jackson is the groom who, four years earlier, decided not to marry Molly on the day of their wedding.

Molly is still angry at Jackson and she will never forgive him for breaking her heart and leaving it in pieces. Since then, Molly has worked hard to make her business successful and along the way, she has become independent, confident and a stronger person. She has grown into the woman she was meant to be.

When Jackson sees Molly again, all the feelings he has hidden inside for her return and he is impressed with the woman she has become. He had his reasons for what he did and as the story unfolds, I admired Jackson’s determination.

Jackson and Molly are great together, they just need to wade through all of their past issues before they can work everything out. I liked Jackson and Molly, they deserve to be happy. This is an engaging story and I enjoyed the dynamics between the characters.

This entire series of stand-alone books is great. In this installment, we meet Jackson and Molly. This couple had a lot to overcome to find their happiness, including him leaving her at the church without a word as to why he wasn't there or why he where he was. Fearing the worst, she is stunned with what he has to say when they finally see each other. Years later, when he thinks it is safe to come back into her life, he couldn't be more wrong.
They have threat after threat come their way. She has to learn how to trust him again or be done with him altogether. He has a lot of groveling to do, but will his reasoning be enough to get her to give him another chance. Neither has fallen out of love with the other, but some things are harder to forgive and forget. He has a ton of baggage from his childhood to deal with, on top of the threats. Just when they think they have it all sorted out, disaster happens and it might be too late.
I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

I love second chance romances, especially when the heroine is feisty. And Molly was definitely one feisty lady. She knew who she was and what she wanted and she wasn't afraid to speak up. It hadn't always been that way. Four years ago she had been devastated and broken. She was finally in a great place when her past came barreling in. Jackson had been a broken man himself. However he was also a man in love who found himself in a bad predicament. The only way he could keep Molly safe was to break both of their hearts.

I find that each book in this series just seems to get better and better. Molly has been in the background of a lot of the past books. So I was excited to see she was getting her own book. I adored Jackson and Molly. I loved watching them get to know one another again, even under hard conditions. I especially loved watching Jackson develop into the person he needed to be in order to fully love Molly. While there was a bit of drama it was very low key compared to these two falling in love again. I'm so glad they finally got their HEA. Now I look forward to the two new books hinted at in the epilogues. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

Elise Faber’s books have become a one click purchase for me. It’s gotten to the point that I don’t even read the blurb anymore - I literally blink and boom, her book is on my Kindle! The Billionaire Club Series is one of my favorite ways to sit back and relax, with a book I know I’m going to enjoy, filled with sexy, smooth talking alpha men and their sassy, spunky, hold no prisoners women. Bad Wedding is Molly and Jackson’s second chance love story. I was prepared to really dislike him from the word go because any man who leaves a woman at the alter without explanation is dead to me but alas, Jackson won me over and had me rooting for him to get his girl back. A sexy happily ever after read with an element of suspense that will have you finish this book in one sitting. TBR and Enjoy.

This is a second chance romance that stars Jackson and Molly.
4 years ago Jackson walked away from Molly without looking back. After years of being hurt and angry Molly decides she needs to cut all ties with him. Problem with that is Jackson doesn't feel the same way. Once they are "reunited" they both have to face some cold hard truths about what really happened between them. Molly still being very attracted to Jackson, and Jackson revealing the real reasons why he did what he did. Questions arise like Can she trust him? and Can she make herself vulnerable to him again? Jackson wondering if he can make her see that they are meant for one another. Follow along as these two rediscover what was lost and find the love they both know they each have for one another.

This is a surprisingly quick and easy read, with two characters that aren’t afraid to look at their own insecurities. As a reader, I was as furious as Molly about Jackson having left her – literally – at the altar, and I thought her processing of that experience and ability to listen to Jackson’s reasons were written with compassion and reality. Molly herself says she went to therapy – this isn’t a cheesy, oh that’s ok I still love you kind of story; it’s gut-wrenching at times, for both characters, and that’s only the romantic/relationship aspect of the story! There’s also a traitor, an angry Russian mafia, and potential for some great stories in future. I really enjoyed this book, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Overall, I liked Molly and Jackson's story. I'm a sucker for romantic suspense so this one sucked me in. There is undeniable chemistry between the two, so it's easy to understand how hard being separated for so long was on each of them. Another plus for me is that I wasn't confused or overwhelmed by supporting characters. I haven't read any other books in this series so I'm not sure if any supporting characters are mentioned elsewhere. My one issue with the book was with how quickly Molly and Jackson "made up." And I mean "made up" in the physical sense. After all the drama surrounding their split and the heartbreak, anger, and resentment, it took mere hours for things to get steamy. I guess I just expected a little more angst to go with the suspense in the plot.

This was a suspenseful and unique story. It's a second chance romance but it was definitely different than what I was expecting. It's called Bad Wedding, but the wedding isn't actually the focal point.
4 years ago Jackson left Molly on their wedding day. He broke her heart, but at the same time, him leaving gave her the strength to make herself into a strong, successful, independent woman. Now he is back and finally explaining what happened to cause him to leave her at the alter.
Full of drama, suspense and some seriously HOT chemistry, get ready to be taken on a ride.

Four years ago Molly was stood up on her wedding day by the love of her life, Jackson. Now he's back, standing in front of her telling her she's in danger because of his association with her and his involvement with the Russian mafia. Can Jackson protect Molly while trying to prove to her that he loves her and only left to protect her?

I enjoyed this book, even if it seemed a bit rushed - Molly and Jackson were having hot and heavy sex on her desk within a few hours of Jackson arriving. That being said, it was a fun story, well written with some suspense and plot twists I didn't see coming. I would recommend.

Four years after the most humiliating day of her life, Molly comes face-to-face with her runaway groom. Her anger and pain soon give way to other emotions as the past returns with a vengeance for them both.

I liked Molly as a heroine. She was the right amount of fierce. I liked that Jackson understood that he needed to let certain things go Molly's way in his quest for a second chance, but he knew when to step in to take care of her, too.

I really enjoyed the suspense angle of this book. I like the twists and turns and the promise of more to come. I can't wait for the next in the series and the spin-off.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

“What a wonderful and amazing story! I’m absolutely in love with Molly and Jackson’s story. I cried, got mad, laughed and fell in love along with them. After that disastrous day Molly was left broken hearted and without a valid reason of why Jackson didn’t appeared at their wedding? Come on! Really Jackson?! I wanted to punch him so hard for played like a je*k but at the end I fell for him. It was inevitable! The Jackson of then and now… let’s just say that Molly isn’t willing to forgive him so easily. Hearts will be broken and secrets will be reveal. Utterly amazing and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book!”

Molly and Jackson get their happily-ever-after!

I'm a fan of Elise Faber's books. Her characters generally have a pretty quick connection, but in this one, Molly and Jackson actually had a past, as Jackson left Molly at the alter years ago. He's an investor in her restaurant, so there was no clean break, but now she wants to buy him out so she can move on. When he shows up, however, all of their old feelings come rushing back.
Jackson and Molly compliment each other very well, although they have to get past the hurt from the first time around and learn how to navigate the present.
All always, Elise Faber delivers a well-written, satisfying romance.

As always do I enjoy reading a book written by Elise Faber.

This is the 9th book of the Billionaire Club series and it’s a second chance romance.
How would you feel when the one guy who left you at the altar comes back into your life? Well Molly threw a cookie plate at him as “hello”, I think he was lucky ;-)

I really enjoyed how Molly figured that she grew much since Jackson broke her heart and it kind of turns out that she might not have been such a successful business woman as she ended up being.
Their is a lot of hot chemistry between the two of them.

Since I love the connecting parts within book series I kind of missed that piece in Bad Wedding but that’s just me ;-)

Bad Wedding, book nine in the Billionaire’s Club series follows bakery owner, Molly Miller and billionaire software developer, Jackson Davis. Jackson and Molly were the perfect couple, even opening Molly’s bakery together, until he left her at the alter. Now it’s been four years, and Jackson wants back into her life, even though all Molly wants is for him to sign over the business and leave her alone. Wen he refuses, the pair finally have a discussion about that day four years ago, and Molly forgives Jackson with plans to start over until the past comes back to haunt them. Will Molly finally get to wear her white dress after all? Or will they be torn apart forever?

Get ready to go on an epic roller coaster of emotions as this second chance romance unfolds. I felt for Molly but she really didn't need a lot of sympathy. This woman was spunky and that served her very well. I really liked her. As for Jackson, he has layers and secrets that must be exposed before you can truly get to see the real him, begin to warm up to him and start rooting for him to get another shot at a HEA with Molly. All together a very fun read that is filled with tension, emotion, drama, suspense, danger, action and heat. This is my independent, impartial review.

This was a great contemporary romance filled with drama, suspense, and hot steamy scenes. The chemistry between Jackson and Molly was hot. I loved Molly! She was strong, sassy and fierce. Overall this was a fun, well written second-chance romance.

This was the first book that I have read by this author and it won't be my last. In fact I plan to go back and read the other books in this series. I can't wait to read the the next book and the spinoff series too.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.
