Angel is the second book in the Royal Bastards Ankeny Iowa series.
I’m Jude “Angel” Bearheart—newly appointed Enforcer for the Ankeny RBMC. They didn’t call me the Angel of Death for nothing. I do the “disposal and cleaning” for the club.
Ridding the world of evil, was my justification for my actions. I was the executioner when the judge and jury failed the victims.
When I found myself at the wrong end of her gun, the hunter became the hunted. Angry brown eyes flashing fire, she had the nerve to demand an exchange I never saw coming.
A dirty politician gunning for us on one side, and a rival club on the other, we were trapped. Trying to find a way out while I kept her alive, would take a miracle.
Except I found myself moving heaven and hell to protect her—because she was mine.
I just loved this one. Angels reaction to a spoiler in the book made my heart break. It was amazing though and I just love it from the beginning to the end. I can't wait to read what's next!
This was my first read by this author and it was fantastic! I loved Angel and Korries story I loved how it had paranormal twist to it which made this a unique story. I was captivated right from the start and read this book in one sitting! I loved the chemistry between this couple . This is a well written second chance sexy biker romance full of hot sexy alphas with unique abilities and I’m here for it ! This story is full of twists and turns , lots of action , surprises and a epic love story. What a journey this author takes you on ! Loved it ! This can be read as a stand-alone but you bet your ass I’m reading Voodoo after this awesome introduction I got into this MC chapter! Great five star read and I highly recommend this book !
** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book **
I love this chapter of the Royal Bastards MC. Not only does the author write amazing storylines, but the bikers that make up this chapter are not only Hot Sexy Alpha men, but they also all seem to have unique abilities. Yes, this book is not only an action packed biker romance but the author gives a bit of the paranormal genre too. This is Angel and Korrie’s story. It’s a well written, 2nd chance, sexy biker romance. Need I say more???
If you haven’t read Kristine Allen’s Royal Bastards, Ankeny IA chapter, you need to jump on board right now, starting with Voodoo and then this book, Angel. While Angel can be read as a standalone, I Highly Suggest reading Voodoo first for a much better reading experience as the storylines and characters do overlap.
Keeping with the RBMC tradition, there is a lot of pain woven around all the love. This book was fantastic. Angel grabbed a piece of my heart. He so deserved to rekindle his relationship with Korrie after all the lies and deceit.
This was an epic story. I loved reading Angel and Korrie's story. It's one that'll take a hold of you, captivate you and have you hooked. There's a paranormal twist to this MC chapter that makes it such an intriguing story. It's well written, with words that flow effortlessly to unfold an amazing storyline. You'll even get a few surprises along the way. Definitely recommend reading.
I loved Angel, the romance books that i love is ones that rekindle old romances! Angel is hot and fierce at the same time! All of Kristine Allen books are great! Enjoy all the yummiest romances! This book is a great romance plus a little sci-fi in one!
Holy Alpha Hotness I loved Angel!! This was a one sitting read for me. I could not put it down. Talk about a love story coming full circle. We all have our person, and for Angel that person was Korrie. As usual Angel is very well written, and gives you a glimpse into all the different characters lives making you want more and more. There's still some paranormal twist in Angel as with Voodoo, which just makes this read even better. I am so excited for Venom and for what else may be in store for these hot alpha bikers.
Had a hard time putting Angle down. Angle and Korrie's story what every emotional and heartbreaking with tons of action and lots hotness. I still love the paranormal twist in the Ankeny Ia chapter. Can't wait for Venom's story.
Korrie and Jude met when they were 7 and 8, first friends then young love until Korrie disappeared one night. Five years later they meet again and have one night together. Eight years pass before they cross paths again and their meeting throws everyone for a wild ride. Jude aka Angel is now the Enforcer for the Ankeny Royal Bastards MC. Korrie is working for a jerk but has a secret. How will Angel react to the secret? With the dangers of the MC and both their past messing with them can Angel keep everyone safe? Will there be a HEA?
I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, this is not your typical MC series. It has a little paranormal aspect to it, which I love. Jude aka Angel and Korrie meet when they’re eight, and you know instantly that these two are soulmates. The prologue takes you through their first meeting and again when they’re sixteen, deeply in love, and how they were torn apart. Fast forward five years, and they meet again, the soulmate love it still there, and it is heart clenching to read. Fast forward another eight years and this is where the book really starts...and they fall into each other’s paths once again...because...soulmates.
Great storyline, always a unique one in this series, and this one was no different. These two were definitely soulmates and from a young age. Their saying to each other, “I love you more than is wise.” “And I love you more than is safe.”, was everything, I loved it. I am never a fan of soulmates being apart, and this one is no different, because they can’t get their time back, nothing can ever be undone, they just try and pick up the pieces to go forward. When I read a soulmate story like this, that has me transported into the story too, less visual description is more. Some scenes aren’t necessary for me, which is the only reason I gave this 4.5 stars instead of 5, because I did love the story. I loved all the plot twist and turns, especially how they reconnected. We get to see some of our favorites from the first book, including my Voodoo. Angel knows right away that he’s not letting Korrie go again, he wants it all with her, the only girl he has ever loved. He is over-the-top for her, and she him. These two get their much deserved hea and 2 great epilogues.
Kristine Allen has done it again! Angel has been a long awaited for book and I was not disappointed. I look forward to every single book Kristine Allen writes but this one has had me on pins and needles. Jude "Angel" and Jasmine has such a tragic childhood and it's even worse when they lose their mom. The one bright spot in Jude's young life aside from his sister Jasmine was Korrie. Kristine transforms their story with such flair and has me excited to see what the next page brings. Surprises, lots of action, twists, turns and loyalty and love in spades wait for you in this epic journey. Don't miss out!
WOW! Angel was one of those reads that I just could not put down, I was pulled in from the very first chapter. This book, as usual for this author, was stellar! The writing is top notch and the story line keeps you engaged. Angel is part of the RBMC from Iowa, and as with the last book, he has supernatural things going on....this makes the book all the better!! He has loved Korrie since he was a kid and they are brought back together through violence and danger. This time they won't let anything tear them apart! I cannot wait for the next one!!
I was so anxiously awaiting Angel’s book, and I was not disappointed!! Angel and Korrie’s characters grab ahold of your heart from the beginning, and don’t let go, even after their book is finished. I love the slight paranormal aspect to the RBMC Ankeny, IA chapter and the breadcrumbs that have you desperate for the next member’s book. It’s also so awesome to see favorite characters from other RBMC chapters make appearances. Awesome job, once again, Kristine!!
I beyond loved this book. I thought that the first book in this series, Voodoo, was phenomenal, and this book may be even better.
Angel and Kerrie have loved each other from the time they were kids. But Korrie disappears one night, and Angel never knew why. Reunited for one night, their worlds tear them apart once again. Until years later when they run into each other in the most unexpected place.
This series deals with some paranormal, which I am usually not the biggest fan of. But Kristine spins it in a way that is amazing and you won't want to put the book down! The story sucks you in right away, and both books have been put on my constant reread list. They are amazing!
I honestly couldn’t imagine liking Angel or his story more than Voodoo. I was wrong. This book is even better than the first in this MC Chapter. I love the brotherhood, supernatural elements, the added surprises, and the fact that Kristine Allen includes kids in the stories. This book is darker than some of her others, but it’s so well written and engrossing. I read it in one night because I simply couldn’t put it down. I’m dying for Venom’s book next!
What a thrilling MC story with a paranormal element that makes it perfect for the Halloween season. Angel and Korrie are fantastic. They’re dynamic is perfect and seems almost predestined. There were several elements to the story that made it a true page turner. Loved everything about it and am anxiously waiting for the next one!
The love story between Angel and Korrie dates back to their youth. They meet when he is 7 and she is 6 when Angel and his sister Jazmine hide in her treehouse after a fight of their parents. They start a friendship that ends up becoming something more when he is 16 and she is 15 when they lost their virginity. But then she leaves without saying goodbye and they don’t see each other until 5 years later at the funeral of Angel’s mother, and although he is still hurt with her, he still lives her and they end up sleeping together, but this time is Angel who leaves in the morning leaving only a note. 8 years pass and Angel accepts the mission to take revenge on the man who hurt Kira, Voodooo’s wife, in the past. But during the job he ends up being shot by Korrie. Ángel is ultimately saved by the person he least expected and ends up taking Korrie with him. He wishes that this time is the last time that they are separated and they can finally be happy. But unfortunately the Bloody Scorpions will put the people he loves in danger and he will need the help of his brothers to save them. I didn’t understand why Santiago, Angel’s ex, is in the story. She appears briefly in 2 scenes, unless their story has appeared in another book that I have not read. I ❤️this chapter of the RB. Chains and Jazz? The next one?
“Jude?” Her voice went soft and hesitant. “Yeah?” “I love you more than is wise.” “And I love you more than is safe.”
“You feel so fucking good. Made for me. What I wouldn’t give to go back.” After the last round, as the sun was peeking around the dark curtains, he held me. My back curled into his front, I felt his body shudder and the soft sob that escaped him. “Let go, I won’t let you fall,” I whispered. “It’s too late. I’m already a fallen angel,” he whispered back and though I pressed his hand harder to my chest, I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer.
“Oh my God! What the hell are we doing? That was a mistake.” “Korrie? Are you going to tell me I don’t affect you in the least? That there’s nothing between us anymore? Because if you are, I’m gonna call you a liar.” She dropped her hands and looked at me like I was nuts. “Obviously you do something to me, but it doesn’t mean it’s right,” she said with a furrowed brow. “Baby, there’s nothing more right than the two of us together, and I’m not gonna let you turn your back on this. We’ve both had our moments of sheer immaturity and stupidity. I’m not gonna sit by and let either of us fuck it up this time.”
“What do you want?” “You,” she moaned. “It’s always been you.” “Twice I lost you—the last time I ignorantly let you go. It’s not happening again. You understand?” “Angel,” she tried to argue. I heard it in her tone and saw it in her eyes. “No. No excuses, no backing out. I fuck you, and I’m the last man who ever does. If that’s not what you want, then nothing happens. You. Are. Mine. Always.”
Kristine Allen has another amazing book out! Following Voodoo, Angel is the second book in the Ankeny RBMC chapter, and it is sooo good! It's Angel (Jude) and Korrie's story. Angel had a bad childhood, and as a child found out he has a supernatural gift of healing (we learned about this in Voodoo's book). He and Korrie meet as children, when he and his sister come upon her treehouse. They become inseparable, and fall in love. Korrie diseappers one night when they're teens and they lose contact. A few years later, both are in town for heartbreaking reasons, and come back together for one hot night. Fast forward 8 years later, and Angel and Korrie are thrown back together when she is thrust in the middle of club drama and the beginning of a war with a rival MC. Korrie also has a secret she's been keeping from Angel, and it comes out, bringing the two back together again.
Anything more is going to spoil the book, and I really don't want to do that. But, seriously, this book has everything. Sweet second chance love, and two people realizing they're each other's forever person? Check. Revenge, drama, kidnapping, intrigue, angst..etc? Check and check. The more we think we know what's going to happen, there's another turn, and more drama ahead for the brothers. We also get more of Angel's MC brothers, and they are awesome. There's something brewing between Angel's sister Jasmine, and Chains, and I can't wait for them. Also, Ghost. Love.
Don't miss out on this book, and another great addition to the RBMC!
His name is Jude “Angel” Bearheart, and he is the Enforcer of the Ankeny, IA chapter of the RBMC. He’s the disposer and cleaner for the chapter. He can give a life as easily as he can take one. He learned at a young age that he is special and needs to keep that hidden from the world or else he would be a science project.
She met him by chance when they were young kids when he and his sister showed up in her tree house. They became good friends and inseparable until a fateful night when her mother pulled her from sleep and they took off to places unknown to Jude. Korrie is now living a life of hell because she has to work for a man that is dark and dirty. She’s also keeping a huge secret so when Jude and Korrie reunite years later, Korrie’s secret will be revealed and then her life will be changed again.
I loved this story, it has the sexy, bad a** bikers, and a woman that is strong and beautiful. A woman that will be the Angel for Angel. Angel and Korrie have some things to work out and they will have to work out their issues to move on and have the life they always wanted when they were kids. The Ankeny, IA chapter is a great group of bikers and their ol’ ladies that work hard to take out the scum of the world, they may not be able to take them all, but they will take out those that they can. I give Angel 5-stars and am loving the RBMC books. I love the different chapters and the various things these men do to protect their family and loved ones as well as their communities.
Jude 'Angel' Bearheart is an Enforcer for the Royal Bastards MC in Ankeny, Ia. He has a gift allowing him to heal others, but they call him the Angel of Death as he's also an executioner when the judge and jury fails it's victims. He grew up with an abusive alcoholic father and left home as soon as he could to join the military.
Korrie was Jude's first love, they met as kids and grew up loving each other. Without notice Korrie's mother takes her away, cutting off all communication, leaving Jude behind not knowing what happened.
No matter how long a part these two never stopped loving each other. When their world collides again under fire, he won't let her go again.
I loved this paranormal take on the Royal Bastards MC world. Jude and his brothers all have supernatural gifts and they work to right wrongs, while still being bad assed bikers. Toss in a second chance at the love of his life, fighting corruption, rescuing the kidnapped, taking down the bad guys and you have everything for a great MC romance.
I received a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/

This book is part of the Royal Bastards collection. It is the second book for the Ankeny, IA chapter. Angel is an enforcer for the club. He does the disposal and cleaning for the club. While doing a job he finds himself in trouble. He gets shot but that’s not the most interesting thing that happens. The woman who shot him in the love of his life, Korrie. He can’t believe he is seeing her right there in front of him. Then things get even more interesting. Now that he has found her again, he isn’t going to let her go again. How will he take the secret she has? It seems like people are coming at the club from all sides. Will Angel be able to keep her safe? This book is a great read. Angel and the guys won’t let anything happen to Korrie. Korrie hasn’t had it easy. There were people who kept them apart. Things that need to be cleared up before they can try to have anything. I can’t get enough of this collection of books. These authors are fantastic. Great job Kristine. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Lots of twists and undercurrents in this plot, the couple were childhood sweethearts but she disapeared overnight and he couldn't find her. A few years on they meet briefly and eight years later life throws them together again. This time though it gets complicated but despite everything they are still very much in love with each other. I think even with all that happens it's Jasmine who suffers the most, it's hard to come back from that experience. I do wonder with MC stories why brothers are anti any hooking up with sisters/ daughter's, it seems strange when they would die for each other, protect families with their lives but not trust a relationship. I guess we wait and see if anything comes of that one. This was interesting and quite a bit going on on both sides with a parent trying to control or ruin lives, Trace is a little star and strong for his age. Love his talks with grandma. Great read, violence is involved and plenty of action, it's a steady paced and easy to get caught up in the emotions.
(Angel & Korrie) triggers: domestic abuse, sexual assault, gambling, kidnapping. OMG, I'm so in love with this series. So we get to meet the Angel of Death in this book and I love him. His power is the ability to heal and tell just how bad an injury or illness is. Which is why he joined the military and became a medic. Korrie is a girl he met when they were kids and her family moved in next door. They fell in love as teens and then Korrie disappeared in the night. There's a couple of time jumps and the two run into each other along the way. In the present, the MC is still out to settle old debts and this is where they meet a final time, on dangerous grounds. And Angel finds out Korrie has been keeping something from him. I love these two, they are so cute together, right from the beginning. I'm still so curious about everything the rest of the MC members can do but I love the brotherhood they have and the strength. I wish the author had a family tree and a list with each member's specific gift. Such a great series. The scenes are scorchers and the violence is beautifully written without too much gore.
I loved Voodoo so I have been anxiously awaiting Angel's book and I'm so glad it's finally here! I loved the love story between Jude (Angel) and Korrie, when you've known each other since childhood and gone though what they did that makes for an epic love story! They had great chemistry and I really felt their emotions, especially when certain things came to light (I don't want to give anything away so I won't say too much there.) I really liked Jasmine too and my heart broke for her, I really hope we get a follow up book for her and maybe Chains?!?😉 The story was super interesting and I loved how it incorporated the rest of the RMBC characters. Getting to see more of Voodoo was a definite perk! Kristine Allen has a lovely writing style that just draws you in from the very first page and doesn't let go till the last page. Lots of twists keep you guessing and rooting for Angel and Korrie. Highly recommend Angel's story!!
When I first read Voodoo the character Angel instantly had my attention for wanting more. This was exactly what I needed and Kristine Allen delivered.
Angel joined the RMBC and recently has become there enforcer he didn't get his name for doing good but after the Angel of Death.
His past comes back to haunt him though and it shows so much of who he is and of his childhood love of Korrie.Such amazing characters I was immediately engrossed.
It also has some bits of a running story of things I can't wait to see how they turn out. Especially more on Angel's sister Jasmine.
There are some trigger warnings for this book so if you have any please do check and make sure the book is for you.
I would definitely recommend to those MC Romance readers out there and I'm going to be on high alert for the next release Venom which I am off to preorder.
This is the first book that I have read from this author. I am hooked. I want more from this writer. Angel is a great book from beginning to end. There was something about this book that has you wanting more. It is not just an MC storyline. There is so much more to this storyline then that. Angel is part of the MC. The MC is his family. There is something special about him. He can heal people. Something that he doesn't use often but when is needed. One day his life completely changes when his neighbor who he had a fling with shows up with his son. What is going to happen now that his son is in his life? Will his son have the special gift too? I absolutely loved this one. I loved Korrie and Angel together . There was something special about these two that you cant seem to get past. Korrie is a strong woman who will stand by Angel no matter what happens once she realizes that he still loves her. This is a book that you dont want to put down. A must read.
