Sigrid was the sole heir to her father's kingdom, prophesied to be more powerful than any Viking…
…until her brother was born.
Now, birthright stolen, Sigrid is desperate to prove herself a worthy warrior.
Urged by the ruggedly handsome Leif to join a raid on the neighboring hostile Eshur clan, Sigrid finds herself face to face with Erik, the mysterious son of her enemy.
Taken as prisoner, Erik warns Sigrid of an imminent attack on her kingdom.
Can she trust the son of her enemy?
Will her kingdom survive the marauders that seek to destroy her people?
Or are they all just pawns in the hands of the mischievous Norse gods?
Sigrid embarks on a quest to discover her destiny and take back her true inheritance in the first installment of this Viking fantasy saga.
In the Viking worlds of old where gods and mortals fight side by side, Sigrid discovers she might be part of a plan much bigger than mortal battles and birthright.
Inspired by Norse mythology, this coming-of-age epic is for fans of adventure, forbidden love triangles, and glory-destined heroines.

I received a review copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. Sigrid is a princess, and a warrior. Everyone believed her to be the Heir of Prophecy until her brother, Bjorn was born. Their father, the king believed that the prophecy must have been about the little prince instead of Sigrid. Hence, refused to continue training her as a warrior until war broke out due to the king's negligence to Sigrid's warnings about the impending doom. The only problem I had with this book was that it's super short. However, that which it lacked in volume, it made up for in the plot. It was a fast-paced, action-packed read. I really enjoyed it and look forward to more of Sigrid's adventures.
I love a short book, but this was just way too short. I didn’t have enough room for worldbuilding and character development. Also i could be a dumb bitch but Vikings lived in tents right? Why was there a castle?
This was a fun, quick read about a baddass Viking princess who just wants to prove herself in battle and win glory. It's instantly immersive and thrusts you into her struggles of fighting the stigma that women can't also be warriors too. She does get the opportunity to prove her mettle and follow the prophecy from her birth.
I was hunting for a Viking book for a bingo board and saw this was 49 pages and on Kindle Unlimited and went “even if it’s bad, I can do 49 pages.”
And it’s the complete opposite of bad. This book was FIRE. How, in 49 pages, am I SO invested in Sigrid and Leif and Erik. I legit TEARED UP near the end okay. How.
Also, I am immediately going into book two but apparently there isn’t more after that? 😭 Whhyyyyyy.
Decided to move this down to a 4.5, rounded down to a 4. My hype has dropped slightly lol BUT it’s still fantastic!!
Sigrid is a very brave young woman who sadly warns her father the King of an impending attack and because she is female dismisses her and her fighting skills. After the King is killed, her family has been taken to safety she returns to help her people with her friend Leif.
This was a very enjoyable nice quick read that I was able to start and finish on my lunch break. It moved along at a great pace, has interesting characters that you want to know more about and a story that will grab you and keep you reading. This book is a must read and there is no doubt about it.
