Now I know what I am, I need to learn to deal with it.
Get an education, they said, it'll be good for you, they said. They didn't mention all the problems that came with being a paranormal, or falling in love with a group of sexy paranormal guys.
Here I am though, almost at the end of my education, but I'm about to learn the biggest lesson of all. Who do you trust when you're bound heart, mind and body to shifters, wizards and even a demon?
**Warning, this is a reverse harem romance with adult content and language.**
This book has some preposterous parts. The FMC unexpectedly gets bound (soul bond) to one of the love interests she barely knew. She met briefly saw this person before a 2nd meeting led to them having sex which caused the soul bond to form. She is happy about this. Then later on another event happens that lets the other love interests form soul bonds with her and every single one jumps at the chance. She even bonds with a recent love interest that she has barely spoken too but she thought he was cute. She wanted to form a permanent soul bond with someone she barely knew and so did he. Ah to be 19-20 again.
The timing/pacing is weird for the whole series. It seems like only a couple of weeks go by in terms of events that happen in the book and yet the book ends with them finishing up the school year or close to finishing up the school year. The author refers back to previous events that happened at the start of school as if it just happened and then basically goes well the book is done so the school year is also over. The long period of time is not conveyed at all. I think if the longer period of time was conveyed the relationships would be more believable.
The villians are over the top to the point of being more like a caricatures or parody of a villian like Dr. Evil.
Here it goes for the entire series.... Peyton is a bit sex obsessed. Most of her thinking goes from the problems at hand, to sex , and then back again. She tends to think about sex at the most inopportune times as well. The relationships she has with these men r not really built from anything. I guess that could be from the fast paced book itself but I wish there would have been more character building along with the relationships she shared with her men. After all that I would like to add that the storyline was great. I really liked how it led from her first being introduced to it to finally finding out who was behind it all. I do however wish it wouldn't have ended so abruptly. Overall I would say it was a fairly decent series.
Alright so I thoroughly enjoyed the series but a few things: the insta bond with Leo and Blake, kinda felt rushed and incomplete. The constant back and forth with Corrines and Blake's "betrayal" was absolutely annoying. And the ending sucked, "oh I killed my mom" the end. That's it? That took care of the entire organization??? It just felt so rushed and forced. Not to mention I feel like Kane is the only one who had a GENUINE relationship with her. Everyone else just felt like sex objects honestly. So many things left unanswered and incomplete.
Logical Magic by Maggie Alabaster is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number three in this amazing series that I have loved reading very much and can not wait to see what this author will write about next. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about magic, shifters, demon, reverse harem and paranormal romance.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow! There were so many twists and turns in this book. It was good reading the conclusion to Peyton’s story. There was action throughout the book and that’s the way it should have ended. Peyton’s life since school has been full of action and guys. What other way is there to end the book.
Loved it, so much happens. The enemy is everywhere, you never know what underhandedness will occur next. Lots of steamy scenes and hot paranormal guys. Great storyline with lots of suspense, intrigue and twists. Great ending. Will definitely read more from this author in the future
It picked up great from the first two books! I really like the characters and the storyline. I'm not sure of there will be more to the series but I hope so because I would like to read more. I feel like we didn't get enough time with them.
Lethal Magic, the third book of the Academy of Modern Magic series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). The end of this series felt abrupt, but overall, I enjoyed the fast action, but Peyton's preoccupation with sex took away from the story line at times.
What an awesome book. I found this series by chance and fell completely in love. Its wildly funny with great characters, I giggled alot reading some of the conversations.
Absolutely amazing stroy! Another brilliant book by the terrific author Maggie Alabaster. This is just another amazing example of the creative genius that this author is.
