Resilient and sweet, Bailey Preston, prides herself on her position as Mayor of Ghosttown. She may not have wanted it, but she’s done her best by the town and its residents. After overcoming a horrific past, she’s persevered when most people would have crumbled. The past is the past and Bailey is set on living her best life in the present. And her life is about to get a bit more exciting with the arrival of its newest residents, Ghosttown Riders MC. Bailey has set her sights on making the bikers feel welcome, especially a certain violet eyed, handsome member of the club.
As Vice President of the Ghosttown Riders, quiet and incredibly private, Saint Monroe, is one of the most revered members of the MC. When Saint speaks, people listen and when he leads his brothers, they follow. He rules his club with respect, meticulous thought, and unwavering protection. It’s the same way he lives in his life, protecting those closest to him. And, he lives his life without distraction. Until the mayor.
His growing attraction for Bailey has tested his patience for the last year. He wasn’t prepared for her, but nothing will stop him from claiming her. All he has to do is break down her barriers and prove that he will do anything to keep her by his side. Bailey is Saint’s soulmate, and he’s ready to prove it by being her savior.
Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).
When Ghosttown Riders MC moved into town, Mayor Bailey Preston supported the move. She felt that it opened up opportunity and until the MC proved her wrong she was going to work with them. One man though catches her eye more then any other Saint Monroe, he is the VP of the MC and watches her. Saint knew he wanted Bailey from the moment he met her but he wanted everything set up before he made his move. It takes a year before he gets his chance and when he does Bailey better brace because Saint has no intention of walking away.
This whole series is great but this is one of my favorites. Bailey is so shy and Saint draws her out of her cocoon she has surrounded herself with. Bailey's past is heartbreaking, you just want to hug her. Delightful.
I have to say this before getting into the review of this book; Kase the president is a raging ASSHOLE. There I feel better.
I almost gave up on this series but Saint fascinated me. Right off I really liked Saint and Bailey much more than previous characters who had to grow on me. These two clicked and the lack of drama was a welcome change. I think I will move on to the asshole’s book just to see if he can be redeemed.
Series Thoughts: Damn. I'm surprised at how much I got sucked into this crackilicious series. I mean, I hate the way it starts (more on that later), but emotionally this sucked me right in and even made me like some of these guys that I thought I'd never like (yes I'm looking at you Kase). What I loved is the characters. Especially the way this deals with every day life - there's a character with dementia, whose journey and final moments actually made me cry. There's alot of the aftermath of moving on from grief, that was touching and really hooked me into tearing through this 8 book series like a toddler through a lego set. I was all into it.
This is in line with most MC romances - there's violence, physical and attempted sexual assault, murder, multiple kidnappings. This is a series of bikers trying to get out of the life and move to Ghosttown, population 45. Each couple is settling in a town where literally you know everyone else, so there's no diversity and while there's interactions with the residents of Ghosttown, it's mostly biker centric. The series is also in line with Ghosttown East - around 3 or 4 on the WTFery scale.
The main reason I'm rating this series lower, however, is the editing - missing, misspelled words, and continuity questions really hurt the narrative, which is pretty damn good. But when I'm pulled out of the moment because I'm trying to figure out what you meant to write, not what's on the page, it's a problem.
So with that said, let's focus on the individual books:
The Saint: Bailey and Saint are my favorite couple of this series. Bailey also has a tragic past but I adore the way she stands up for herself. Saint is the best brother and I can't say enough good things about these two. Loved them. 4*
I've been looking forward to this one, we've seen hints of the pairing between Saint and Bailey from the start. There is something about Bailey that just draws a person in and Saint was no different, heck most of the guys at the MC became protective about her. And we knew she had something bad happen in her past, something that made everyone more protective about her. With this book we learn in detail what happened and my heart broke for her. I hated how a couple times she was hurt, but I loved how more than a few times people showed they had her back. Jack was one who really surprised me, as was Tara, Saint's ex.
Luckily there wasn't any back and forth bad communication like previous books. This one, both knew they wanted the other, but you could tell Saint felt like he needed to go gentle and ease Bailey into a relationship and the club. There were many times that it seemed like Bailey surprised Saint, which was so much fun! I loved how he always had her back and let her know time and time again.
I loved how this one ended, loved the secret that got spilled and loved that Bailey can live her life free from fear with Saint and her crazy MC family.
This was the kind of book that I wished never ended. I absolutely loved Saint. Not your typical biker manwhore but still 100% alpha. The way he loved Bailey was why I read romance. She was such a beautiful character with such quiet strength.
Definitely going to read the rest of the books in the series.
Bailey and Saint have been making eyes at each other for a while now so I was THRILLED that their story was the next in the Ghosttown Riders series. My heart is so full from all the love in this book. This MC rides hard, fights harder and loves hardest. Amelia has created this amazing community of characters that you love, hate or love to hate. Her engine revving erotic scenes are not for the weak of heart but are full of of love, lust and extreme hotness! If you’re looking for a steamy romance with some grit, a great plot and characters you will be invested in, look no further than Ghosttown.
Another wonderful story that had me wiping my tears through the FMCs background story, lol. I think Amelia is seriously trying to unalive all of us with these storylines. Seriously though, they are truly moving with top notch heroes, but Saint totally takes the prize. Sweet with his daughter, not a man ho', willing to wait, and hot as frack. ALL the green flags with this one. The Saint is well written, moves quickly , and has a bit of action. The character development is Fab and leaves you wanting all the stories for all the characters. Can't wait for the next one!
So I previously said I wasn't going to continue the series but a friend convinced me to read this one. I have to say I'm shocked. Saint was the polor opposite to Trax in a good way. Even Kace wasn't as bad ( i hate that guy) but I think that's because Saint takes no shit.
I loved watching Saint and Bailey's relationship develop and I actually believe in their HEA . Solid 4 stars, Im glad I gave this one a chance
The Saint who has no problem with taking out the trash . I enjoy the book . Its on the lighter side of Motor Cycle Club books but makes a nice reading when you want a something MC but on the lighter side .
Both the H/h frustrated me. At first I really like Bailey. I thought she was strong and brave and her shyness was endearing. But as the story went on she proved to be extremely naive, sometimes selfish, and most surprisingly a liar. Saint bent over backwards for her but she withheld information, lied to get out of situations she deemed too uncomfortable, and even blew off meeting his daughter THREE times. I mean, she’s literally sitting in her car in Saint’s driveway with his daughter inside on the fourth time they’re supposed to meet thinking she’ll just send a text to cancel! Saint had to remove the keys from the ignition to prevent her from leaving. OMG! This is where I lost respect for Saint. He was always “I understand, got to let her take the lead, she’ll tell me when she’s ready, she doesn’t mean to disappoint my daughter” and on and on. Always an excuse. Kase (of course) was the only one to call her on her bullshit. How she handled the situation with her ex was unbelievably naive - this man is OUTRAGEOUSLY dangerous and she’s got a whole outlaw biker club at her back, but she chooses to not tell anyone what’s going on, doesn’t take any precautions with her safety. And of course Saint rides in to save the day for the 1000th time. I was skimming by the 80% mark just waiting to see how the confrontation would play out.
h is supposed to meet a club brother for a date at the clubhouse. She has horrible scars due to her ex pouring I believe acid on her. He's having s3x with a clubwho*e who is calling her a thing, monster and says it's false advertisement because her face is pretty but under his clothes is not...she is devastated...the actual H of the book finds out and beats the cr@p out of him

What a horrible backstory for the heroine, Saint was perfect for her. As this author does write flawed characters, Bailey was dumb as a sack of hammers when it came to personal safety though. Smart people are hard to find in this series.
It’s hard to even pick a starting point with this review, because I loved EVERYTHING about this book. Bailey and Saint have scorching chemistry and anytime they are doing something even as simple as kissing or touching, the way Amelia Shea writes about it will leave you fanning yourself. Bailey has physical scars from an ex attacking her and I like how she moves forward and works to heal herself emotionally, and then when she sees and hears a hurtful situation at the clubhouse and has an emotional setback I actually had to get my butt off my couch and go get a box of Kleenex because I cried right along with her. The caring way Bailey and Saint progress through their relationship and the lack of games and fake drama was so refreshing to read. There is too much of that sophomoric crap being written in adult romance lately; a good writer doesn’t need that slop to create a couple that draws you in and has you rooting for them as things build from interest and yearning to a love that will last forever.
The plot kept me totally glued to my screen with what was going on between the H and h, the other members in the MC, Bailey’s duties as mayor, and the elements of danger coming from the bad guy.
The Saint is worth every penny I paid for it! 🤑! Amelia Shea rocks!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Characters: Saint and Bailey Spice rating: 🌶🌶 out of 5
*Trigger warnings at the bottom of review*
This one was decent, but I did have a few issues with it.
I felt like Saint and Bailey got together too quickly
I didn’t care for a scene where Bailey was tipsy and her and Saint have sex, I really thought that Saint should have told her no because in this day and age if someone is under the influence then they aren’t in their right head space to consent.
I didn’t like how Bailey didn’t inform Saint that she was receiving phone calls from her ex Adam who had abused her. Once Saint found out he was mad, which is understandable. I didn’t like how she thought she could get some sense of power back by not informing anyone what was happening to her.
Parts of this book I did feel like they were a bit predictable and also too easy of a relationship for them to get together. Even though she was burned by acid she really didn’t put up much of a fight when Saint got her naked, I thought it should have taken a little more time for Bailey to let down her guard.
Trigger warning: scarred heroine due to acid burn, ex boyfriend stalking her, battery, murder (off page), torture (off page).

The mayor and the biker for sure. The town voted Bailey in as their mayor and it wasn't even a job that she wanted, but she also on board for the town to grow and bring in lots of revenue from the businesses that the club was opening up. The club was originally established in Ghosttown and they all voted to move back and be closer to some of their families. Bailey is just a very genuine and sweet soul and sadly endured her own hideous abuse from her ex Adam. He only spent five years in prison and when he got out, he thought he needed to come apologize in person, but all he did was bring up bad memories for Bailey and still not much remorse for what he did. It was all about him and the guys made sure that he would never bother her or anyone else ever again. It was also great meeting Saints biological brother Hades and his precious four year old daughter and also Saint and Taras daughter Cia. I love how Saint and his ex work so well with not raising their daughter, but that they also spend holidays and birthdays together. Happy reading.
CW: heroine was brutally assaulted off page and is still dealing with the trauma. Her attacker gets out of prison and continues to harass her.
The word "lash" or "lashes" is used 23 times. There is a LOT Of looking up through lashes going on, which I still don't understand how that works, even after years of reading romance and everyone peering through their lashes all the time.
Saint has wanted Bailey for a year, but waited till he got his life all organized and settled before acting on it. Bailey is a big ole sweetheart who is adorable and nice to everyone. She'd also fit in your pocket, all the heroine's in this series are a foot shorter than their men. Most of the book is Bailey slowly opening up to Saint and his family, acting a little bit too dumb to live sometimes. The tears got me again on this one. How is it these biker books are getting me all up in my feelings?
Loved Saint, didn’t really like Bailey. She was too naive for my taste. She lied and withheld a lot of pertinent information throughout the story for really no reason. It was weird. And how she let that Arnett guy treat her? Unacceptable. Put him in his damn place!!! And to be so naive regarding her ex? Come on!! She really pissed me off quite a bit throughout the story. I understood her not wanting to rush into meeting Cia, but it got to the point where she was dragging it. Saint was cool but to be this guy that everyone feared with just a name drop, it would’ve been cool to see him in action. He really played himself with the whole Bailey meeting his daughter bit. The day after the first date was too much and then for him to even bring Bailey up to his daughter when he knew Bailey was having reservations due to personal reasons was selfish and manipulative honestly. He really should’ve given her time from the jump. It was a decent read I guess.
I am reading the series and each book is better and more entertaining. The characters are more comfortable with each other. Families are growing and sharing. Ghost town is coming together with the dream started by Kase and Saint. Also Hades (aka Roman) who is Saint’s brother is a cool character and one tough alpha male VP. Okay so also in this book Bailey, the Mayor, revealed her past and what she went through with ex-BF Adam. The MC brothers are determined to keep her safe. Saint has finally found the path to make Bailey his woman. If you have read the series in order, then you know that Saint claimed Bailey when they first saw the Mayor in all her awkward glory, at a city council meeting. Now it’s been a year, and now Saint has returned to Ghost Town to stay and claim Bailey. Read On!
Saint and Bailey had waited a long year to get together!
Bailey has some historical shit that she has to live with, and aspects come back to rattle her confidence and happiness. While the way she handled the drama was understandable,I found the repetition frustrating to read. It’s not lost on me that in real life, I would be in awe of her resolve and ability to rise above the trauma she had encountered.
I questioned actions by the MC, thinking they were leaving a virtual calling card that could come back and bite them later when they went to deal with a ‘problem’.however, this was more of a background scenario rather than the main focus of Bailey and Saint becoming a couple.
Loved Saint’s brother Hades and will look forward to reading his Book!
This series gets better and better with each book. The main characters in this story are really likeable. Saint has always intrigued me and I am so glad we got his story. His relationship with his daughter is just so sweet. Loved the interaction between Bailey and Hades, that was hilarious, and Bailey’s relationship with Cia and Allie was really endearing. I also loved how Bailey included Nadia in her life - I do hope Nadia gets a HEA! The more the series progresses the more likeable most members of the club become, I even liked Kase in this book 🤣 Can’t wait to move on to book 5, it’s going to be great watching Kase fall for a lady 🤣🤣
Bailey Mayor of Ghosttown Saint the VP of Ghost town Riders. Saint fell for Bailey the first year they were in town. Bailey had accepted the MC to the down with out hestation. Bailey secretly like Saint but her insecurities in regards to scare from a physco. Saint and his brother's were protecting her. Bailey learns to accept Saints love but the past came back. But Saint and his brother's had her back giving Bailey her HEA.
Can't seem to stop wanting to read all these books so on to the next. Lol
I absolutely adored Saint and Bailey’s story! The pain and heartache that Bailey lived through didn’t make her bitter like it could have. Saint is the quiet one with restraint and a cool demeanor but emotions run deep in a man like that. Single dad meets town Mayor and the sparks fly. She’s hot, sweet, kind and loyal and not afraid of the club brothers, just what Saint needs. It doesn’t hurt that everyone loves her, especially his daughter. I think Saint and Bailey are one of my favorite couples in this series.
3-3 1/2 stars. I was waiting for this one. I loved Bailey’s characters since we originally met her. Story was sweet and cute—tiny bit of suspense. Really not much happened—which is the reason for the lower rating. It was just a sweet romance (with a MC club). I like the characters and will probably read more of the series. The first book was my favorite—I’m hoping next book has more happening like the first did
Wow this is by far my favorite Bailey is so sweet and omg what she went thru 😢 and I had tears at one part I won't say and the way Ameila Shea wrote this part what Bailey over heard just had me heart broken. But when Saint found out omg he is such a sweet caring person Holy cow. I can't say anymore with out spoiling it lol. You will have to read it. Oh Kase is still an a-hole lol but he does grow on ya well a little 😉
Loved this!. So worth reading, my absolute favourite of the series. I love Saint and Bailey, especially how sweet and understanding he is with her. One upside is the Prez Kase had grown into a better character, really struggled with him in the first couple of books but he’s not too bad now, more readable and a bit more understood.
Can easily be read as a standalone but better if the full series is read.
How can I give this book more than 5 stars? Bailey and Saint are EVERYTHING!!!! They are firmly in my top 10 book couples of all time. I love them together and how they love each other. The storyline is amazing and flows seamlessly, MC drama is thrilling, NSFW scenes are seriously off the charts and the HEA - sigh - it’s perfection. There is nothing I didn’t absolutely love about this book.
