Murdering humans is a huge no-no and comes with an off-with-your-head sentence. Doesn’t matter if you don’t remember doing the crime.
I killed a human, and no, it wasn’t on purpose, but that shit doesn’t matter to the council. I’m facing death. So, when I’m offered a deal to avoid execution, I’d be a fool not to take it, even if it means leaving the human world behind to enrol in the Nightwatch Academy – a gothic monstrosity hidden from human eyes, located way too close to the largest tear in the fabric of our reality.
I have no intention of becoming a member of the Watch or supporting the shadow knights at keeping the Fomorian threat at bay. The monsters beyond the mist aren’t my problem.
But one sip from the ceremonial goblet and my plans to coast are out of the window as my powers spark to life.
I’m an anomaly, one the Watch won’t be letting walk any time soon.
My only comfort is a man who prides himself on his ability to harness pain. Battle scarred and formidable, he’s my tutor, my mentor, and the object of some super saucy dreams. He’s completely off limits and my only hope of surviving my first test.
I’ll need to harness my powers fast.
There can be no distractions.
But when my fellow cadets start going missing then returning with no memory of who they used to be and my best friend is taken, turning a blind eye is no longer an option.

The Vampire Academy meets Game of Thrones. An action-packed, supernatural academy, Urban Fantasy with a slow burn Why Choose Romance.
Debbie Cassidy lives in England, Bedfordshire, with her three kids and very supportive husband. Coffee and chocolate biscuits are her writing fuels of choice, and she is still working on getting that perfect tower of solitude built in her back garden. Obsessed with building new worlds and reading about them, she spends her spare time daydreaming and conversing with the characters in her head. She writes Urban Fantasy, Romance, Fantasy and Reverse Harem Fantasy. All her books contain plenty of action, romance and twisty plots.
Super awesome can’t put down and need more now kind of story!!! This is the third academy book I’ve read this year, but as usual debbie Cassidy always knows how to write an awesome story! The story’s main character Indigo comes from a Legacy family, but has struck out on her own, to avoid her life at home, from parents who are nothing but disappointed in her for being born the wrong gender. After her father sets her up to kill a human and be sentenced to prison, her only alternative is to join the academy. I loved every part of this story and cannot wait to read what’s next in store for Indigo!! Shadow Weaver (The Nightwatch Academy) This series just gets better and better, which seems impossible when each book is so awesome! Love this series and this book. Indigo has her work cut out for her being the only female shadow cadet. On top of that, another mystery about her heritage is solved and it’s a big shocker. Her feelings for Hyde continue to grow, even though their relationship is doomed. She also grows closer to Brady and Cash. Can’t wait to read what happens next!!!
Shadow Warrior (The Nightwatch Academy) OMG! Best one yet..and that ending!!! Need more!!! This series is amazing! The team continues to face threats as they advance on their paths to be shadow cadets. Brady and Indigo grow closer and Hyde and Indigo still try to fight their attraction, but each day it seems a losing battle on both sides. Indigo also finds help from Kash for her father, another relationship growing each day. The Formorians are infiltrating the mist, setting traps, and capturing Indigo’s classmates. They are up to something and Indigo has her work cut out for her if she has any hope to survive against it. She also discovers some weaver secret history and new gifts manifest, which may be of great help in their fight for survival. That ending though!! OMG!!! I need more! Love Debbie Cassidy! Shadow Master (The Nightwatch Academy) Awesome ending to another awesome series! In this book, Indigo leads the Shadow Cadets and soldiers against the Fir Bolg, the threat coming from the other side of the mist. Much is revealed and there are shockers and lots of kicking butt on the battlefield and hot scenes between Indigo and her men. Loved the ending, and a great lead in to another series in this world, The Nightwatch.
Damn! It never gets tiring reading these books by the one amazing and awesome Debbie Cassidy. This series is off the charts. Our Heroin not only kicks ass she proves she can do more than what a man can do in the world of the night watch So this series is brought to you in a different time and with its own twists to what we would class as a witch and a vampire 😏 and may others yeah Debbie Cassidy is unique for sure. It’s another page turner, it’s addictive and has you gripped from page one. Got some heat too even with the slow burner, so is worth the wait. Only downfall was the epilogue, so many questions unanswered and that was my only greedy problem lol It’s one big full pact adventure with so many challenges and romance along the way.
This series was an amazing deal. I love it when I can read everything all at once. Indigo is a great character and I enjoyed how she grew into a leader. I did find it strange that the Shadow Master chose her to lead. It seems really unbelievable but she rose to the occasion wonderfully. This is a wonderful reverse harem with lots of ups and downs. I couldn't put it down.
Well that was over way to soon, honestly there needs to be so much more. Hopefully there is a series of her cousin and more of this one as well. This is a must read
Prompt: Set in a school (well, sort of.) Well, that sucked me in quickly. I was seriously going to just read the first one, Shadow Caster. Next thing you know, I've downloaded the full series and haven't slept in two days.
I loved this series. Indigos story is so addicting and I loved how she grew fierce by continuing to trust herself and those around her. Love the world building.
