I enjoy reading romance stories so much but I'm disappointed many times because of dull female protagonists or stories full of cliches. When I saw the cover, I was first reluctant to read it but I'm glad that I looked into the short description. I really enjoyed it so much and I'm giving it 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

First of all, the characters were special and so well developed. I loved both, Zoe and Noah, they had a great chemistry together! And their actions were so believable. I could relate to Zoe, an intelligent girl (a girl driven by her brain), and also to Noah, who is more emotional and acts how his heart dictates him. They are such a cute couple together and I love the author and the story for being so cute and lovely with a pinch of heartache. Maybe I loved reading this even more because I could really understand Zoe so much because we were similar (except for the part with Rosa but her reaction was understandable from the view of her character).

If you are a fan of friends-to-lovers story, you will like this one. It was definitely a light, entertaining and fast read which I adored a lot! You can just dive into the story, go with the flow and finish the story wishing to read more about them. (I really am curious how/if they will figure out their love life after the end)
Anyway, I can't wait to read the next book of Savannah Kade!

Another lovely romantic story from Savannah Kade, I read this series in the wrong order but it didn't matter because they can all be read as standalones.

Of the group of great friends only Zoe, Jessica and Noah remained unattached, Noah and Zoe had always been best friends, they both had upbringings that they would rather forget, Zoe was moved from house to house each time her mother got a new boyfriend. Zoe and her sister Shay had drifted apart, Shay had had an abusive marriage but was now settled in a stable relationship and was pregnant with twins, Zoe planned on being there to help when the twins arrived, she was to leave LA when she qualified and move to Nashville . Zoe had been a straight A grade student, she worked hard to get her degree and was persuade by her tutors to stay on and do a Masters in biochemical engineering at UCLA, this goal was set in stone despite being a female in a male world Zoe was doing well..........until ,Zoe realized that she had feelings for Noah.

Noah Preston was an up and coming actor, his family thought that he was parading his wealth in front of them even though he thought that he was helping, the only person that he could really talk to was Zoe and he soon realised that he was in love with her but what chance did they have, Zoe was leaving LA and him when she got her degree, she had tunnel vision as far as her degree was concerned, she couldn't end up like her mother, she had to earn money, buy a house and a good car

This story follows the tentative and then passionate love between Zoe and Noah, how Noah got things totally wrong, how he didn't understand why Zoe was so driven but how he tried so hard. How Noah's career took off, would the Hollywood glitz and glamour get in the way ? what will happen when Zoe follows her dream to leave LA. A beautifully told story.

I love reading stories about women scientists! Top it off with a realistic depiction of how much work it takes to get through graduate school and enough science to feel real but not so much to bore or make mistakes and I was sold! Zoe was a really well written character overall not leaving her as just her career. Noah was over the top lucky with his acting career taking off and plenty of money to lavish on Zoe. But otherwise he was well written as a good friend and more. I suppose in some ways their passions remind me of myself (marine biologist) and my husband (visual effect artist and other artistic pursuits).

I really enjoy how Savannah Kade weaves her characters into other books (even across series). Her books work well if you've missed a book or gone out of order, but when put together it's like old friends you get to peek in on again and say hello.

"I keep thinking—I keep feeling—like this is meant to be. I’m sorry I needed you to tell me so many times to learn that it wasn’t.”

This friends to lovers story had me feeling all kinds of emotions. Not having read book one of the series had me weary of starting the series on this book. It says it can be read as a standalone and for the most part I'd agree. I definitely felt like I was missing some key pieces of other members of the group's backstory.

Zoe and Noah's individual drives is the premise for the book. Will their drives ultimately be what keeps them apart? The author did very well making me be able to feel and identity what the characters were. There are several characters in the book but I didn't feel like the secondary characters took away from the primary characters at all.

What a unique story! I enjoyed the plot, especially the friends falling for each other part, but there were a few things that didn't make sense. Well, they make sense, I just think they weren't realistic. I do not want to give away any spoilers, but suffice to say, I think Zoe overreacts to Noah when he doesn't understand her needs. Other than, that, I think it was a good book.

This was a bit of a different story, about a young woman and an actor. She wants to continue her education and he wants her. They go down a road of friendship and love with difficulties along the way.
