Kathryn Andrews is a #1 Inspirational Romance Bestselling Author who loves stories that end with a happily ever after. She started writing at age seven and never stopped. Kathryn is known for Chasing Clouds, the Starving for Southern series, and her much loved Hale Brothers series. Her stories are sweet, southern, and fall into the genres of chi-lit, contemporary romance, sports romance, and southern fiction.

Kathryn graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and currently lives in Tampa, Florida. She spends her days as a sales director for a medical device company and her nights lost in her love of fictional characters.

When Kathryn is not crafting beautiful worlds that incorporate some of her most favorite real life places, she can be found hanging out with her husband and two young sons, while drinking iced coffee and enjoying the sun.

A note from the author...

Over ten years ago my husband and I were driving from Chicago to Tampa and somewhere in Kentucky I remember seeing a billboard that was all black with five white words, “I do, therefore I am!” I’m certain that it was a Nike ad, but for me I found this to be completely profound.

Take running for example. Most will say that a runner is someone who runs five days a week and runs under a ten minute mile pace. Well, I can tell you that I never run five days a week and on my best days my pace is an eleven minute mile. I have run quite a few half marathons and one full marathon. No matter what anyone says, I am a runner. I do, therefore I am.

I’ve taken this same thought and applied it to so many areas of my life: cooking, gardening, quilting, and yes…writing.

I may not be culinary trained, but I love to cook and my family and friends loves to eat my food. I cook, therefore I am a chef!

My thumb is not black. I love to grow herbs, tomatoes, roses, and lavender. I garden, therefore I am a gardener!

I love beautiful fabrics and I can follow a pattern. My triangles may not line up perfectly…but who cares, my quilts are still beautiful when they are finished. I quilt, therefore I am a quilter.

I have been writing my entire life. It is my husband who finally said, “Who cares if people like your books or not? If you enjoy writing them and you love your stories…then write them.” He has always been my biggest fan and he was right. Being a writer has always been my dream and what I said I wanted to be when I grew up.

So, I’ve told you who I am and what I love to do…now I’m going to tell you the why.

I have two boys that are three years a part. My husband and I want to instill in them adventure, courage, and passion. We don’t expect them to be perfect at things, we just want them to try and do. It’s not about winning the race, it’s about showing up in the first place. We don’t want them to be discouraged by society stereotypes, we want them to embrace who they are and what they love. After all, we only get one life.

In the end, they won’t care how many books I actually sell…all that matters to them is that I said I was going to do it, I did it, and I have loved every minute of it.

Find something that you love and tell yourself, “I do, therefore I am.”

Count memories, not calories.

Kathryn Andrews and Starving for Southern series have accomplished in leaving me hungry and not just any food. No sire. It's left me hungry for every single dish that has been made or mentioned and linked to at the end of each chapter in the span of the three books. (I'm low-key ready to pack my bags and move into Kathryn's house so that I can have the chance to eat those pretty dishes)

Before I jump in, I just want to mention how much fun I had reading about Jack and Meg and the slow progression of their relationship from best friends to lovers. I loved how encouraging and supportive they were of each other and how their "hidden" parts unfolded with every chapter as they opened up to each other.

We are introduced to Jack & Meg in the Prologue, in a situation that is set out in the future. Chapter 1 opens up with Jack meeting Meg for the first time at their friends' vineyard and dubbing her as his best friend within five minutes of meeting her.

Jack, a wide receiver, injured his knee during the Super Bowl. Unsure of where his future lies and if he could ever play again, Jack loses his spark and becomes a broken piece of his former self. The only time he is his happy and charming self is when Meg is around him.

Meg, a southern food restaurant owner, is a cancer survivor and has been in remission. I loved her 'to grab life by its horn' and the 'glass-half-full attitude'. To have survived cancer and to have such an optimistic attitude is a huge feat and a quality that I adored.
However, this attitude had its fair share of drawbacks. Having lived the last 7 years of her life by a set of rules she made for herself and avoiding conflicts at every turn, Meg missed out on quite a few experiences, one of them was being in love without holding back.

Every time I touch her and she touches me, I feel like all is right in the world, feel we belong to each other.

I adored their relationship from the moment Jack claimed Meg to be his best friend and the way their relationship evolved and grew was such a treat to read. But like any human, these two had their faults.

Jack's drawback was his inability to see the full picture. He loved seeing the people around him be happy and focused on everything good. It's a good trait and helps you look at the bright side of things but not always. In a lot of ways, he was a lot like Meg. But somehow, I wasn't completely mad about this because Jack came across as someone that if you made him sit down and talked, he would listen and understand what they were trying.

Meg, on the other hand, was a tad bit pig-headed. I understood and respected Meg's rules and the reason behind them but she was never forthcoming with Jack in the first place. More than anything, I was sad that Meg's fear was so big that even though she was hurt, she was not only ready to let him go but she didn't even fight for him.

I wished it was Meg who had gone to Jack and not the other way around or maybe have them both meet in the middle. However, I loved how it all ended and how they resolved their issues and made a promise to be more open about what was troubling them.

All in all, I loved the story, Jack and Meg, their story, the secondary characters, the setting, the food and the recipes. I enjoyed every aspect of this book and this series.

Note: I want to add that you will see the lead characters from the first two books of this series, The Sweetness of Life, The Last Slice of Pie and one of her standalone sports romance Chasing Clouds. I didn't feel there was anything spoiler worthy if you planned to pick this book.

Mild Spoilers

This was good, but still not close to being as good as book 1. I loved Jack and how sweet he is, but I think my main problem with the story is the heroine and some of the pacing. In the last book, we ended with Jack getting injured, and I wish this book started like that instead of going back to how they met. It just made the book slow, and it was a bit boring how half the book was them actually being friends, nothing more, so I didn't necessarily root for them to even be a couple. There was just too little chemistry and thoughts or more-than-friends feelings.

Then we have the heroine whose character just didn't really make sense to me. I felt like she kind of belittled Jack's accident with her cancer. Like she just kept talking about her cancer and thinking about it, and what she went through, even though it has been 7 years, but giving little thought to what just happened to Jack and what he is going through. She barely let him grieve or come to terms with the accident. I felt like she just kept putting herself above Jack, and it made it seem like he deserves better than her. I also didn't care for how she treats guys. It's a little unfair to go on a date with a guy each month, with no expectation or desire to further the relationship. She does it literally to meet new people, without thought it's a bit deceiving to the men.

Overall, this was just an okay story. I loved Jack and he definitely made it for me. I also liked seeing more Bryan and Lexi snippets even if they weren't my favorite, but this just wasn't a very enjoyable book for me. I will continue to read this author though.

Safety: No OW/OM drama, but she does go on dates with no intention of doing anything more with them.

5 Star Review Lessons In Lemonade (Starving for Southern #3) by Kathryn Andrews
Kathryn Andrews is a new author to me and I am surprised I have not come across her before. I enjoyed friends to lovers, Lessons In Lemonade which is Meg Dukette and Jack Willett’s story.
Meg has been through a lot, surviving cancer, she is strong and determined to make the most of life. Happy with how her life is going, all that is about to change when Jack barrels into her life. After suffering a potential career ending injury, Jack seeks out the one person he knows he can count on, Meg.
The friendship and love that lies between Meg and Jack is truly heartwarming. It is obvious that they have a deep connection but could it be more? Jack believes it could, but convincing Meg may not be so easy.
I loved Meg and Jack, both separately and especially together. The attraction and chemistry that sizzles between them is smoking hot and Meg will do whatever she can to help him recover from his injuries. Jack is totally swoon worthy, in fact he ticks the boxes for me.

This is a little gem and when time permits I will be looking at other books from Kathryn Andrews.

Yes!!!! This is the book I have been waiting for!

Jack and Meg find themselves in an unlikely friendship. Not just a regular friendship but best friends forever type relationship.

Jack’s NFL career comes to a screeching halt after a devastating jury. He had no idea that Meg was at the game when it happened so when he sees her minutes after being taken off the field he cries. Yes a grown man crying and it was beautiful. He had his best friend there and the relief of seeing her made him feel that all would be ok in the end.

Meg jumps in with both feet to take care of Jack. She spends a few days stocking up his house with food since he is seriously food obsessed before she has to go back home to South Carolina and leave him in Florida.

Jack is advised to take some time away to clear his mind while his body heals. There is only one place he wants to be and she surprises Meg by showing up in her restaurant. She takes him in willingly and will do anything she can to help him recover.

Jack is a knight in shining armor when it comes to Meg. Their attraction is off the charts and you are begging for them to just give in. Jack is ready to take the leap but surprisingly it’s Meg who holds back. We along with Jack learn the hard way why she is the way she is. It leaves Jack heartbroken and he leaves when Meg won’t give them a chance.

Who knew that Jack would be the love sick fool in this whole story? They both come to their senses around the same time but Jack beats her to the punch in a major way. There is no way she can turn him down after everything he gives up and does for her. The man is absolutely perfect is every way!

This is my favorite story of the series and it will be very hard to top!

Lessons in Lemonade, the third book in the Starving for Southern series, is so wonderfully southern...football, comfort food, wine, best friends and a big ol' dog :) There is something about this book, along with the two previous books in the series, that is so comforting even when the story isn't. Kathryn Andrews has a way of making her characters so real and relatable and I loved Jack instantly and fervently. Meg is smart and funny and I loved her too but mostly I just wanted to shake her so she could see the gold mine of a man she had in front of her! This is a friends to lovers, sports romance but it's so much more...it is about hope, fear, love, loss, friendship, finding yourself after trauma and making everyday count. Like the previous books, I adore the recipes at the end of each chapter...it's funny how reading the name of the recipe can feel joyful or ominous, based on how that chapter went. I'll probably never make Chicken Mushroom Spinach Lasagna (trust me, too sad) but I know I'll think of Jack every time I make No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies! I laughed and cried, both sad and happy tears, and I loved it all. I'm so glad I found this author and this wonderful series!

4.5 Stars for Lessons in Lemonade
This is the first book I have read by this author and even though Lessons in Lemonade is book 3 in the Starving for Southern Series I had no problem following the story and I will certainly be picking up the previous books as soon as time permits.
Meg’s life has not been easy but surviving cancer has made her the strong determined woman she is today, she is happy with her life and is not looking for a relationship well that is until Jack comes into her life. Jack has suffered a potential career ending injury and he needs a friend so he turns to one person he knows he can depend on. Meg and Jack’s friendship is special they always look out for each other but it’s the underlying love that makes this a very special romance. The chemistry is sizzling and the characters adorable but it’s the beautifully written love story that made this book so very special. This author wrote Meg’s life compassionately and added in just the right amount of humour to make it real , I loved both Jack and Meg and I can’t wait to play catch up with the other books in this series. Great read that I highly recommend.

I was given an ARC of Lessons in Lemonade and here are my thoughts.

Lessons in Lemonade can be summed up in one word: delicious.
From the food to the characters, your mouth will be watering for more!
Meg and Jack's journey from friends of friends to best friends has one major hiccup - what happens when you fall in love with your best friend? Both of them have obstacles and troubles they have to overcome, both separately and together.
In all honesty, this is my favorite Kathryn Andrews book to date. She wrote with such emotion, it had me feeling all the feels! It was hard not to devour it in one sitting.

Amazing romance! Loved everything about it! The characters. The storylines. The friends. The recipes. The gorgeous cover. And, the passionate romance! I did shed a few tears, however. There’s a bit of sadness between this awesome couple; though no fault of their own. Past and present circumstances have their relationship, whether friends or maybe something more, struggling to stay afloat. But, with patience and understanding, we’ll see if they turn it around. So sad to see this series end. It was definitely one of my favorites. So, let’s see what compassionate love story Ms. Andrews has next in store for her readers...

There are many things I know to be true in life, and at the top of that list is the fact that Kathryn Andrews writes amazing, unforgettable books that are truly in a league of their own.

I have been a fan of hers since her very first book Drops of Rain, and every new book, every new set of characters, every new world she lets me so vividly experience shows me again and again why she is one of my all-time favorite authors. Lessons in Lemonade was no different. This book brought me back to a world that I honestly never want to say goodbye to. This book gave me two characters that my heart was immediately with, and that I immediately believed in and rooted for with all what I had. This book was emotional, it was meaningful, it was viscerally beautiful, and it was romantic. It was sweet and swoony and funny.

It was everything. It was more. It was one of the best books I have read.

Every word of this book was incredible. I honestly can't say that enough.

From the moment I met Meg and Jack, I knew those two were going to permanently own a piece of my heart. From the very first word of this book through the the very last, I was completely consumed with everything those two gave me. Their story and their intertwined journey together is about a lot of things. It is a story of second chances and what comes next. It is a story of emotional and life-changing upheaval that will bring you to places you never thought you'd be. It is a story of two people who are drawn to each other something fierce. It is a story of what happens when you push for more, a story about meeting that one person who makes you think about changing everything.

Lessons in Lemonade is a story of two friends who see what could be when sharing something more together soon becomes an option they can no longer resist.

I loved everything about this book. I loved the characters who completely stole my heart from the very first page. I loved that I could not put down this book for anything. I loved that this story not only took me on a journey with these characters and their relationship together, but it also highlighted their own personal stories and journeys that were just as important. I loved getting to be with the two of them in so many vivid and memorable moments. I loved getting to see a friendship blossom into something so deep, so real, and so beautiful. I loved how Kathryn Andrews once again allowed me to live and breathe and experience every syllable of her words through her incredible writing.

I loved it all.

if you have read the other books in this series, then you know that Meg and Jack were a story that needed to be told. You meet them both along the way in the other magnificent books that make up this series, and that set up is just part of what will have you so ready for their story. Even if this is your first time meeting them, you will love them from the start. I guarantee it. There is no way you can meet them and not fall hopelessly in love with them. They are just too good, too right, and too special to not love them with your whole heart.

And let me just tell you, if you have not had the pleasure of reading the other books in this series, then you need to this very second. Those books are utterly spectacular, and they will not only introduce you to a world of characters you will never want to leave, but they are truly some of the most exceptional books I have ever read. This book is the last in that series of interconnected stand-alones, and let me tell you, Kathryn Andrews brought this world and this story to them most fitting and fulfilling conclusion. I truly could not have asked for more.

One of my favorite aspects of this series and any book that this author writes is the way that she makes it so vivid and beautiful to experience. She transports you to some amazing places that are truly memorable and completely encapsulating. She makes every location feel so real. (And so many of them are real, and let me tell you, I need to go to those places as soon as humanly possible.) She makes every moment feel like you're right in the middle of it. She brings out so many exceptional nuances and dynamics with these characters that mean everything. She gives you food. She gives you magic. She gives you feels and romance and the little things that really are the big things. She gives you love. She gives you everything.

Lessons in Lemonade was just the best. I loved every single word of Meg and Jack's story together. I loved that it was very much of friends to lovers story. I loved that these characters both had to face some very tough decisions and choices that showed so many truths about them. I loved that everything they share together made them question everything they thought they knew and everything they thought they wanted. I loved that them being together made all the difference and truly changed everything. I was completely entranced with their connection and their fierce chemistry together. The rightness of the two them enveloped me from the start, and honestly I just spent all of this book LOVING what I was getting with them and eager for more of it all.

From the very start, Kathryn Andrews showed me the literal goodness of the two of them. She showed me their spark. She showed me where it all started for them. She let me be a part of the foundation and start of their friendship, and she let me be there when it crossed over into something more. She let me struggle with these characters with the challenges they faced, both individually and together. She let me understand them both on the deepest of levels. She let me get them, she let me peel back their layers so I completely understood why everything was happening the way it was. She put me there in the thick of it as the events of this story took these characters to places they never thought they'd be. She gave me it all with Meg and Jack, and it truly was everything.

Meg is literal charm and then some. She sweet, she is good, she is smart, and she is determined to live a life that feels good and right to her. She is a restaurant owner and chef who knows her way around the kitchen, and she is someone who knows what she wants. Or at least she thinks she does. She is also a woman who has been through a lot, and has the strength and tenacity to show for it. She is a woman who knows the power of food, and this book will exemplify that with her in spades.

Seeing her world get turned upside down by the seriously heart melting Jack, seeing how their relationship makes her rethink everything she thought she knew and felt. Getting to be with her as she navigated the wonderfully complicated and authentic dynamics this book's events presented her was nothing short of spectacular. It was real, it was consuming, and it was beyond emotional and meaningful. I love and respect that girl with my whole heart for so many reasons, and honestly I just wish I could spend all the time in the world with er. Kathryn Andrews created a very memorable, authentic, and dynamic woman who is seriously easy to love. She is just the best.

Jack is a good guy. You inherently know that from the very first time you meet him. He is good, he is funny and charming in his own distinctive way, and he is not to be ignored. I loved that he was a flirt and force to be reckoned with in his own very memorable way that was never too much. He was always just enough. He was always more. That man is pure goodness. He has a heart of gold that is on his sleeve ready to feel it all. He is a man who gives it his all no matter what. He is also a man who has his entire world turned upside down in this book, and must face many life changing decisions.

What I loved about Jack was that through it all he stayed true to himself. He never wavered. And even in those moments when it looked like he did, or where he second guessed himself, he was still him. He was still the good guy who gave it his all. He was still the man who would do anything for his friends and family. He was the guy who put it all on the line when it really mattered. He was the man who saw the glass half full, even when the world threatened to break that glass to pieces. He was the best. Getting to be with him through the dark moments, through the bright ones, and through every unforgettable moment in between was phenomenal. It just made me love him more. I think it's honestly impossible to not love Jack. He is just the best.

let me tell you that this story will take ahold of you with all that it has, and it will blow you away with the emotion, the meaning, and just everything you get with these characters. There will be moments in this story that will make you laugh, moments that will make you melt and swoon with the romance and the heartfelt moments that these characters share. there will be moments that hurt your heart and bring tears to your eyes for these characters and what they go through. There will be moments where you might want to shake them silly because of what's happening, but all the while you'll completely understand the whys behind it all. There will be moments in this book that will turn your world upside down just like it does to these characters.

And through it all, you will love it. You will love it with your whole heart and you will know, without a doubt, that you are reading a truly special and incredible story.

In this book, Meg and Jack are both handed some pretty sour lemons, but through every second of their unforgettable story you get to see how they squeeze and twist and mold those lemons into something resembling lemonade. And that lemonade? It just might be the most perfect thing you've ever had the chance to get.

And it'll taste so so good. Trust me.

Lessons in Lemonade is hands down one of the best books I have ever read, and it is definitely one of my top favorites by this author. This is such a special story to me. It was so emotionally meaningful, and it was the perfect way to say goodbye to a world of characters that have stolen my heart for years. It was love and food and connection personified. It was a beautiful and emotional story of what could be, and it truly was magical with what I got with Meg and Jack. Those two are something special. They are the best. They are right and more and just everything.

I am telling you, you will love them. You will love them fiercely with your whole heart, and you will want and need everything with them. You will love the lessons, you will sure as hell love the lemonade, and you'll even love the lemons that come their way. You will love it all. Kathryn Andrews thoughtfully crafted and created a story that is truly unlike any other, and that will give you it all.

So are you ready? Are you ready for the literal amazingness that is this book? Well take yourself a seat. Get yourself a glass. Give yourself a heavy pour of that sweet sweet lemonade, and be ready to experience the incredible, emotional, beautifully breathtaking Lessons in Lemonade.

I just love this series, so much. Kathryn brings the fun, light, hungry (😂), love and in some cases, serious topics. This book brought me so much joy and I can’t wait to do some of the recipes, with the end of every chapter there is a new delicious recipe!

Jack and Meg totally stole my heart! I was so entertained reading their relationship, growing from best friends to lovers, how they made each other laugh, but also support, care, worry and it was beautiful to see their admiration increase with each chapter.

Both of them went through life changing situation, and both hit too close to home for me which at times brought me to tears.

Jack is a football player and during Super Bowl he had a serious knee injury, one that could take him out of the game, forever. While I don’t have a sports career, I had both knees wrecked during a ski trip and my life changed from that moment on, I got in depression and all. I can only imagine what is like for a person like Jack.

And Meg is a cancer survivor, with a complete remission now. For seven years now she has been dealing with the fallout of this and afraid of that can comeback. But even though is not easy, I was so proud of her, how strong, independent and caring she was for the ones she loved. I loved how she always tried to see the life with optimism and created a life for her with the restaurant.

I was in love with Jack, and wanted him for me! I loved how he saw in Meg someone amazing at the spot and even though she didn’t want anything else but friendship, he never gave up! He claimed them best friends and from there their relation only grow. I loved how he saw the Meg’s worth, but also how his worth as well.

While I understand Meg and why she was inflexible in her promises, I was so upset with her. For one person who also claimed Jack was her best friend, she should have told him what was going on, what were her thoughts on the matter. I was even more sad, when he was the one who needed to go after her. I wish it was the opposite, she was the one who needed to go to him and show her fears and love for a change.

But all in all, the ending was so beautiful and powerful. I loved a lot, specially when we get to see a glimpse of what happened with not only Meg and Jack, but also Zack and Shelby, and Bryan and Lexi. I’m sad that it’s over. I could still read about the three couples for a long time.

This is the third and final book in the Starving for Southern Series, but you don’t have to read the first two to thoroughly enjoy this story. The series is a set of interconnected standalones with a cast of wonderful characters, and stories that don’t disappoint.
This is Meg and Jack’s story. Having met at Wolfe Winery, they head back home and settle into their own lives. They stay connected by stalking each other’s social media pages and flirt and snark their way into each other’s lives. Only when a career ending injury changes Jack’s view on life does he change things up.
This story is so well crafted, that even when the words make you shed tears, and it did for me, you can’t wait to see what happens next. This story has every southern staple you could think of. Football, southern cooking, a dog, and a pickup truck, it’s all included, including some drool-worthy recipes. There’s also the sophistication that only downtown Charleston can bring in, including a horse drawn carriage ride past the iconic Rainbow Row.
Meg and Jack’s story is a friends to lovers trope full of southern food and sass. It’s a wonderful read and great conclusion to a series I didn’t know I needed. Now to gather all the recipes and try them on my family.
**I received an ARC of this story and this is my honest and voluntary review.

A beautiful, sweet southern love story paired with a dash of football, creating the perfect match to have me falling in love.

“Count memories, not calories.”

I feel like I need to gush over just how genuinely happy this story made me feel.
I couldn’t get the smile off my face while reading and it left me with a hankering for some good home cooking. This friends to lovers romance has the perfect slow buildup of their feelings for each other as Meg has been guarding her heart for years and the the ever flirtatious Jack is not deterred by being put in the friend zone. Sparring back and forth with Meg is like foreplay for Jack, but with the strength of an ox, Meg resists and tells herself over and over again that she will not fall for his charm. Their friendship and genuine love for each felt so real that a few moments had me with tears in my eyes, I loved their journey to their happily ever after.

“Every time I touch her and she touches me, I feel like all is right in the world, feel we belong to each other.”

As with the other two books in this series, I absolutely love how food plays such a fun and delicious role in the stories. With the comfort of southern cooking as Meg so perfectly said “You can’t live a full life on an empty stomach.” If you need a sweet and flirty romance with the perfect amount sports, food and southern living, I definitely recommend this book!

Lessons in Lemonade is the third book in the Starving for Southern series. It is still a standalone, although I do recommend reading the other books, because they were all great. All the books focus on relationships between chefs and football players, in different tropes. This one was a friends to lovers trope.

Meg owns her own restaurant and has always had a positive attitude. She is a cancer survivor, and has a different approach to life now. Jack is a fun, flirty football player but after a career-ending injury, he is having a hard time. He decides to move in with his best friend, Meg, while he recovers. We get both POV in this, as well as all of their interactions from when they met til now. But, the majority of it is after he moves in. The two of them have a great dynamic together. Also, I enjoyed all the recipes that were included. It’s a sweet, heartwarming friends to lovers, delivering a great message. I would recommend this entire series.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved every second of this story. Kathryn Andrews is a new to me author, but he has a new fan. I loved getting lost in Meg and Jack’s story.

Meg has been through so much in her life. Now she’s trying to figure out what’s important to her. A chance meeting with Jack, leave Meg thinking about the guy she thought was cute, but cocky. Jack is into Meg after just one meeting. But he’s busy trying to maintain his football career to worry about Meg. When he gets injured in a game, he wants the one person that just wants to be his friend.

I loved watching this relationship evolve. I loved getting lost in the friends to lovers aspect of this story. At times, I found myself getting frustrated with Meg, but I understand why she feels the way she does. But there were times I wanted to shake her for not seeing what was right in front of her. I love Jack. I love that even when he was down and out, he still did everything he could to make Meg’s life easier.

I loved falling in love with a new author and story. I can’t wait to read more from Ms. Andrews.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
The Sweetness of Life (Starving for Southern #1)
Last Slice of Pie (Starving for Southern #2)

This is Meg and Jack’s story. Meg has been living her life be a simple set of rules ever since she beat cancer. When she meets Jack, she knows she could fall for him, so she puts him in the friend zone. Jack wants Meg and knows he can be patient he knows it will be worth it in the end. But what happens when she lets him in one time, and he is again friend zoned. Can he ever get her to forget those rules and take a chance with him or is he just fooling himself? Will he lose not only his heart but her in the end?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

I am so in love with Starving for Southern Series. The emotions, sweet recipes and the characters make it too good not to read. Lessons in Lemonade is probably my favorite or at least it is right now as I’m in a giddy happy place after finishing it. I adore Jack, his flirtations and his attitude. When everything went down, I cried for him. I also love Meg. She is relatable and her sunny attitude is contagious. Finally when she laid it all out and was able to come to terms with her past and face her future, I’m pretty sure angels sang. The chapters flowed nicely, the story is lovely and the world creating one of the best! If you love sweet, funny, romance grab Lessons in Lemonade and the rest in the series. You’ll thank me (and Kathryn Andrews for writing them.)

This is the 3rd book in this wonderful series and is Meg and Jack’s story. Meg is a strong survivor and businesswoman and her best friend Jack is an NFL player. When Jack’s career come to a screeching halt due to a devastating injury, he only needs his bestie to help get him through it. The chemistry between these two is off the charts, but will they take a chance on moving from friends / lovers? No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written tale which is and emotional roller coaster, as well as humorous and heartfelt read. I highly recommend for all readers.

Hi redemption, how are ya??

This is the best book on this series, period. I wish I would've read just this one, honestly, because Jack Jack deserves all the cookies. He's such a golden retriever, I was really rooting for him.

Meg surprised me. It was honestly kinda expecting an average FMC based on the two previous books but she knocked this out of the park. Her strenght and devotion to herself is such a queen move.
The tension and batner between them was chef's kiss (pun intended). It's a short book and the author still managed to make this a slow burn, so more cookie points!

The book covers in the entire series also deserve cookie points!

Wow! Amazing story!

Just a quick note up front, if you are a survivor of Cancer this may be a bit triggering as it was for me. Overall the book was such a great journey. Just opening having the main character open up to talk about her fears as a survivor was amazing to hear. Great job with character development. I very much enjoyed their story!

Good lessons

Meg and Jack were such a great couple. They actually had a story. The sex was discreet. Loving and private. I get tired of books that turn out to be so graphic and boring.

I love this author's writing style.

However, for me, it wasn't my favourite of her books. There was a lot of going backwards to catch up to where the story really started. I got a tad bored.

Also Meg just wasn't nice enough for Jack who is a fantastic character.

Kathryn Andrews never fails to delivery that magical experience with every freaking book. Her releases are like Christmas to me, I am up waiting for it to drop because I know what is waiting inside the covers will have me excited and complete.

Lessons in Lemonade did not disappoint me. It was raw and as an avid reader I was not prepared for my present. The storyline was one that had me reading this book as if it was an expensive glass of Scotch. I savored every line, page, and chapter. I absorbed the richness and content. I gathered the meanings of the heart of Jack and the soul of Meg. I learned LESSONS sans the lemonade because that is what was taught from page one to the Frozen Lemonade Pie recipe link. Lessons in friendship, acceptance, depression, lost, gain, change, life, and most importantly LOVE.

Hats off to another book that will forever play a role in my life. One I will relate to as it hit the shelves when the world needed it most. 2020 has another #MUSTREAD for me to share with the world. This is one of the three that has rocked me to the core so far.

This is book #3, in the Starving For Southern series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and to fully understand the series, I recommend reading this great series in order.

Jack has been in the NFL the last 10 years. He has had an incredible team and made good friends. When the worst happens, he turns to whom he needs the most. His best friend, Meg.

Meg has never wanted forever. She makes it clear to all who know her that its just easier to be the person living her best life. She has great talent, good friends, and is doing what she can to just be healthy and live everyday.

This was such a great and heartwarming story. Right from the first page I felt totally sucked into the story and could not put it down! I loved these characters already from the series, and this was an installment that felt like icing on the cake. (Or pie.) Being able to read about their journey was totally a gift.
