Black Light: The Beginning

Rate this book
FIRST 3 BOOKS IN THE BLACK LIGHT SERIES! Over 600 pages long!

INFAMOUS LOVE (The Prequel)

Two male models falling for a curvy grad student shouldn’t be reality. That’s the stuff of fairy tales. But when Emma gets swept off her feet by Jaxson and Chase, she’s caught up in an infamous love affair that quickly turns into front page news.

BLACK LIGHT: ROCKED (Book 1)

When a rockstar spots his childhood sweetheart in the audience, he only has one thing on his mind — vengeance. He’ll punish her for breaking his heart no matter how much she claims to be innocent. Their history is full of secrets, and a second chance at romance might be impossible, but could the truth be more painful than the sadistic games he plans to play?

BLACK LIGHT: EXPOSED (Book 2)

Little white lies are supposed to be harmless… and she was just looking for a story, one big enough to land her dream job as a reporter. A secret, underground BDSM club is perfect — but so is the hot, dominant congressman who helps her get inside. With the deadline closing in, and her lies unraveling, she’ll have to choose between her dreams… and her heart.

Trigger Warning for Rape! The publishers have done a huge disservice to potential readers by not including this in the blurb.

It's impossible for me to rate this set since I really liked the third story, thought the first was okay, and hated the second. I do want to warn potential readers that Rocked contains rape -- not "rough" or "hard" or "dub-con" or whatever euphemisms people are using now -- but actual rape and, yes, the H does perpetrate it on the h. Even those reviewers who liked this book admitted that the first encounter between Jonah and Samantha was rape. Even Jonah and Samantha admit it was rape ("To date, save the night of their reunion when he’d—fuck, raped her—he’d been trying to ease Samantha into his lifestyle"). And what are the consequences? Rather than turning the matter over to the police as he should have, Jaxson -- the supposedly honorable dom and owner of a supposedly reputable kink club and who himself thinks it was rape -- acts as the most indulgent judge, jury, and executioner on earth by agreeing that Jonah should be whipped (even more laughably by another dom) as punishment. Magically, the slate is clean (thus equating the felony crime of sexual assault with BDSM protocol punishments), and, well, I was done. My complete review is here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3....

Infamous Love is consensual and it does trace the beginning of the relationship among Chase, Emma, and Jaxson, the linchpin for the entire series. Those who like ménage will probably enjoy this more than I did: I've never found it plausible (though I do appreciate the diversity is sexual orientation). I've never particularly liked Jaxon (too arrogant) or Emma (too dull); I do like Chase. Ms. Grant gets lots of things about academia wrong and, amazingly, some of us who are plus-size have actually managed to lead perfectly good and fulfilling lives; go figure (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...).

Exposed is the one I enjoyed: it's consensual, well-written, and the characters are professional, intelligent, and likeable. While the conflict is one that has been done before -- vanilla reporter goes undercover in a kink club to get "dirt" and finds herself falling for a dominant unaware of her true identity -- I still found myself invested in the characters (and the rope play) and their organic conflicts. My only real criticism is that I thought one scene towards the end was too harsh. While I understand why the author included it, I didn't find it erotic.

My ratings for the individual stories were:

Infamous Love: 2 1/2 stars

Rocked: 1 star

Exposed: 4 stars

As always, YMMV.

Regarding "Rocked:" Ah, yes, exactly what every book needs: a female character who forgives her rapist. Gosh darn, that should always happen if the rapist is, you know, "hot" and "sexy" and "cool" and "groovy" and "tortured by his past!" Short version of all this: definition of "rape apologia."

This is an easy way to enter the Black Light world. With one simple click, you get the first three books of this series. These reads offer a strong cast of characters, lots of emotion, drama, intensity, kink and plenty of sizzling heat. While you can always count on the steam and BDSM elements, this selection of books does provide some range as far as the subject matter goes. Infamous Love is a M/m/f romance that is on the lighter and sweeter edge of the spectrum but Rocked is much more dark, edgy and yes, very controversial. As a note: if you suffer from triggers due to rape, this book IS NOT for you. This is my candid, volitional review.

Black Light: Infamous Love

What a great prequel. This is how Emma meets Jaxson and Chase. What a great love story. Like most love it has it ups and downs but in the end love will always win.

Black Light: Rocked

What a fantastic story. I love all the stories in the Black Light series. It makes you want to go to Black Light on Valentine day. I like the way each authors builds on that day before and after.

Black Light: Exposed

A great story. Very well written. Maddie was so focused on getting a story she forgot when you lie it will come back to haunt you which it did, but true love will always win out and having great friends to help is great. Enjoy with wonderful story.

I enjoy this series. Each book is well written, grabs your attention, and pulls you in from the very first page. With each book, you take a journey with the couples and feel invested not only in their relationships, but in their futures together.

I do have to say that Rocked shook me a bit. If rape is a trigger for you, take a pass on book 2. I was able to read it only by pushing that scene out of the forefront. It was a good story, but that one scene changed my perspective of the book. Without it, I would have rated the book higher.

A really good introduction to Black Light that will make you want to go back for more.

A great way to start one of the best series I have ever read. I promise you will not be disappointed once you start you will not want to stop, and will be disappointed when you get to the end, and you have to wait for the next one.

The truth is I bought this for just the last book, Exposed. I already owned and had read the first two as stand alone books and wanted to read Exposed. When I went to buy it I discovered it was cheaper to buy this trilogy that the stand alone copy of Exposed. (Go figure!)

I have already written reviews for Infamous Love and Rocked, both of which I adored. So this review is for just Exposed by Jennifer Bene.

What can I say? I just loved this book. Thomas is amazing, my favorite Dom so far. Their story is different and so is the way of their D/s relationship. It isn’t as intense or all consuming as so many others. They also relate as man and woman and for once we have a Dom who’s not tormented or hurting. While Thomas is still very much a strong Dominant he’s also charming, fun, and sweet. I have GOT to make a trip to DC and see if I can find this club! I want my own Thomas, please.

Black light first 3 books

These first 3 books are great!
Emma is left on her own in a foreign country not able to speak the language and and up meeting the 2 love's of her life. Great story.
Book2 soul mates find each other after a 7 year separation brought on by horrible family members of hers. True love prevails
Book3 Maddie finds herself in the position of having to choose the job she's always wanted or the love she never thought she wanted that was built on lies.
This is an amazing set, don't pad it up

Read for the B.A.N.G. Book Club 2022 Challenge – Blue Cover category

I'm a huge fan of the Black Light series and had not read these first few books, partly because I first found the series with Book 4 (Valentine's Roulette) and read on from there, and partly because they weren't on KU. When I was going through my To Read list looking for Blue covers, I couldn't resist buying this collection (it was less than AU$5) and I am glad I did... makes me want to binge my way through the whole series again. (FYI book 2 probably needs a warning - there's a dubcon/rape scene between H&h, but the rest is wonderfully consensual kink.)
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I just loved this ultra steamy book that started it all in the Black Light series!
Infamous Love: Livia sets the perfect stage for where Emma, Jaxson and Chase physically meet for the first time in the train station on their way to Paris. You feel how Jaxson and Chase woo Emma with their words of how far superior she compares to their model dates the day before and know of her desire to be on the dancefloor in the spotlight. Emma seizes her chance to experience being with these exceptionally handsome and domineering men for the time she has with them. Yet Emma returns to Wisconsin to begin her summer semester and TA job without exchanging contact info wishing she had, but knowing she would never see them again. To say that Emma is surprised when Jaxson and Chase show up at her TA job for a vacation with her to renew their steamy interactions is putting it mildly. They live in Emma’s hidey hole apartment until work, life and family pressures demand answers. What will Emma do about her education and family when Chase and Jaxson offer her the chance of a lifetime? Will Emma survive the public scrutiny of stepping out with her men? Jaxson’s father demands for him to make an appearance for his political event puts Jaxson in turmoil of what to do until Chase and Emma step up with “Where you go, we all go.” Each character’s weakness is portrayed in the story and how the others work together to overcome them! Superb story that will have you reaching for the next Black Light book!

Rocked: Samantha and Jonah, aka “Cash” have a past that kept them apart for seven years. When Jonah’s band, the Crushing Stones is playing at the new club in town, Sam scalps a ticket from her law professor to attend so she can have closure of their lost love. But when Jonah sees Sam in the audience, things go a bit haywire between the two of them. Jonah asks Chase to keep Sam occupied until after the concert. Afterwards, in Jonah’s rage over the past, the unthinkable happens, causing Sam to leave the club. But can the feelings from the past be resurrected despite the odds that Sam’s father and Jonah’s manager will try to ruin their budding relationship? Will Sam accept Jonah as her dom? So many plot twists and steamy sex to keep you turning the pages!

Exposed: This is my 8th book by Jennifer, and I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Maddie is looking for her exclusive story to get hired by the Washington Post, and knows there is a story to be told about Runway, the new club and the social elite who arrive then seemingly disappear inside the club. Finally, discovering a guarded secret door, and getting past it, she is asked the pointed question of whose guest is she. Enter Thomas who offers Maddie be his guest to play at Black Light. Maddie has no idea what she is getting into, but agrees to play with Thomas. They are instantly attracted to one another and each offer the other what they have long been needing in their lives. Will Maddie expose everything she has seen at Black Light with Thomas to get her dream job? You have to read to find out and trust me, you won’t want to put the book down.

If you are new to Black Light and wondering where to start, this Beginning boxset is perfect for you and a steal at $3.99. Since I’ve read all three books separately, I’ve cobbled together my reviews here.

I admit to falling in love with Emma, Jaxson and Chase after reading “Infamous Love” and that started me down the Black Light rabbit hole. Their romance is sweet and spicy all bundled up into a set of curves and double the set of hard muscular planes that will have you simultaneously squeeing and swooning. And before you tell me that’s impossible, read for yourself. Likes: Her characters. Ms. Grant has the wonderful ability of creating characters that readers will become emotionally attached to. And since this is a Black Light story, we also get to revisit with some of our favorites from other stories, which adds to the well-rounded character development and seriously…Ryder? Oh yea. Add in his girl, Khloe, and Cash and Sam, along with many of the original staff at Black Light East and I might have been squealing a bit too much because this story was amazing, emotional, sexy, loving, and fantabulous.

Not sure what it is about Livia Grant’s stories but they keep giving me a massive case of “the feels” and “Black Light Rocked” was no exception. I really enjoyed the characters Cash (Jonah) and Samantha. The risk Sam took and the not so positive payoff that eventually turned around into what developed into a well-plotted relationship. And if you’re scratching your head, I’m trying to avoid spoilers here because there are aspects to the story that are THAT good, not the least of which are the characters. I feel like I should backtrack. You know how there are some stories where you REALLY want to like the characters but the male lead is too much of a jerk and the female is too whiny? Yea, that isn’t this story. Not even close. While Cash starts off as a playboy with an attitude, it shifts quickly, and Sam is very much a likeable character that you will almost immediately be rooting for her happily ever after.

In “Black Light Exposed”, Jennifer Bene introduces us to Maddie, hopeful future reporter for The Washington Post, and Congressman Thomas Hathaway. And yup, Maddie has a HUGE secret that she has to balance against her growing attraction for Thomas. And when that comes to light—cue the marvelous drama. Likes: Once again, the characters. I love the intermingling of other characters from different books in the series as it lends a level of comfort (maybe not the right word), in that you feel like you’re watching old (and new) friends together. The scenes between Maddie and Thomas are all sorts of sexy, and Ms. Bene ratchets up the drama and angst to the point that you will earnestly hope for their happily ever after.

This is the first two books plus the prequel introducing the three main characters that create the Lack Light Series and the amazing Valentine Roulette anthologies. I started this series out of order by starting with the first anthology which then made me fall in love with the characters and the Black Light world. I went back to the beginning to learn about the characters. I highly recommend all things from this world. I have discovered some amazing new authors from the individual and anthology books as well as fallen deeper into the number 1 fan of old favorites.

Infamous Love (Prequel)
My first exposure to this author was in The Black Light Series, which in my opinion is one of the best collections of true authentic BDSM collections out today. I loved it so much that I had to come back to where the characters that started it all were from. This book gave me the background into their relationships and I appreciated that because as I progressed into the story I became invested in their stories.

This prequel was not of the same quality of writing as the one later in the series. I think that comes with time because let me tell you this author can write as the series as continued. Regardless, that the story was more sexually-oriented it still offered insight into the characters and their characteristics which GREATLY helps later on down. While this book was not my favorite because the characters seemed immature, it gives great leeway for them to mature, much like the series matures.

Black Light Rocked
4.4 stars

I am not sure how I missed this book in the Black Light series considering How much I enjoy it but somehow I did. There is something about this author that I really enjoy. She always manages to create a story that sucks me in. This book had me a little worried about how these characters started out but it worked out in the end. I did miss seeing the characters build on their new relationship in the lifestyle. However, I did enjoy seeing the lifestyle incorporated by way of Jaxson, Chase, and Emma whom I adore.

I highly recommend all things Black Light.

Black Light Exposed
4.4 stars

I first discovered this series from Black Light Valentine and was hooked. I was needing a reread of the series, and to my surprise, I discovered I had missed a few of the stories. This being one of them.

This book was great. I loved the interaction with the Old characters that I love as well as the dynamics of Maddie and Thomas. These two were very hot together. I was frustrated with the background of the story but liked how the conclusion came to be. It builds well into setting up the stage for the Roulette series.

If you like to read BDSM, then you need to enter the world of Black Light. These are the first 3 books in this series and they're all in one set for you to enjoy!

Infamous Love
When Emma is stranded in France, Jaxon and Chase come to her rescue. The three begin a relationship that starts as friends, but Jaxon and Chase want more. Will Emma agree? She's never felt good about herself so will she let the guys in? There are outside forces at work to keep them apart.

Rocked
Oh wow!! This book was an emotional roller coaster ride from the first page. It drew me in and I just couldn't put it down. Samantha and Jonah (Cash) have a history that goes back to being teenagers. Misunderstandings due to her family's involvement leave very hard feelings in each of them. The story starts out as both trying to get closure so they can move on but as the misunderstandings are slowly revealed, it get emotional. I cried, I screamed at certain characters and I yelled for joy at the end!! I promise, this book is awesome. It does touch on dubious consent at the start and mentions self injury, though not in a graphic way. These things are totally needed in this book to tell the story of Jonah and Samantha and how the relationship develops. I can't freaking wait for the next book in this series!!!

Exposed
Maddie has to write a really good story to get the job of her dreams. A popular nightclub is her pick. She wants to find out what is going on and why it's so popular. What she discovers changes her life in ways she never imagined. A BDSM club called Black Light and a Dom who happens to be the hottest congressman at the moment. After she lies to get in and starts playing with Thomas, Maddie discovers she loves the pain he can give her; but what will happen when the truth comes out? Both Thomas and Maddie are falling hard for each other and her lies and why she is at the club could rip them apart.

It was really good to see characters from the first two books in this series. The story was so well written and you felt like you could easily be sitting there watching all of this happen. Ms. Bene's books are a wonderful way to relax and get out of your head for awhile. Love the story and I can't wait for the next book in this series!

The subjects in these books could be triggering for some, so please use caution when deciding to buy or not. The whole Black Light world is amazing and each book stands on it's own. I have loved every book so far, some more than others but if you enjoy BDSM and trips to the dark side, you will enjoy these books!!

First 3 books in the black light series! Over 600 pages long!
.50 INFAMOUS LOVE (The Prequel)
Just WOW!! I know I'm late to the Black Light Party, but I intend to immerse myself wholly now that I've started. This story is riveting, passionate, emotional. It has friendship, ego, lovers, confidence, insecurity, and personal values. On top of all that, in case that isn't enough, Livia Grant has introduced us to an amazing triad. Jax, Chase, and Emma are flawed, relatable, and absolutely lovable. Their scenes are HOT, the conversations made me feel like I was one of the roommates with a front-row seat. This was amazing and I can't wait to get through the series, I'm trying to be good and read them in order, and see what happens when they open their club.

1. ROCKED
As I stated in my earlier review when I read the prequel, I'm late to the Black Light Party but intend to immerse myself!! What an intensely written story with emotions bouncing from one to the other during this rollercoaster ride Livia Grant has taken me on. Jonah, aka Cash, Carter fell in love when he was only 10 years old with Samantha, aka Sami, who was 8 at the time and defended him at school from being bullied because he was the new kid. This was the epitome of unrequited love to complete the devastation and the paths it can lead to. It's about that small piece of yourself that never gives up hope even when it's not acknowledged or recognized. It's about good vs evil, strong vs weak, and a D/s relationship that grows with trust. This was just friggin awesome!

2. EXPOSED
What a great storyline! Jennifer Bene wove a tale that immediately sucked me in and had my heart and emotions in the back of my throat throughout the entire telling. The chemistry between Maddie and Thomas was just so intense and the scenes so HOT there as no way to read this and not be pulled into it and, of course, I just love that Jaxson and Chase were pulled into this as well! *sigh* The more of these Black Light books I read, the more I fall in love with the entire world each of these authors have built. It's just glorious.

This is one of those series that pull you in, don't let go, and keep you coming back for more EVERY TIME. The talent of these phenomenal authors is just outstanding. I can't praise this series enough!!!

Infamous Love
Where do I even start with this book? I loved every moment of this book, and I especially loved the messages it conveys. My favorite thing about this is that Emma is a curvy girl and both Jaxson and Chase spend time showing her how much they love her curves. And practically slaying dragons in public opinion to show her just how beautiful she is exactly as she is. Jaxson and Chase each have their own emotional baggage to deal with. As much as I want to say more, it’s liable to end up being a bit spoiler-y if I do. And no matter how much I think I can identify with Emma, I might just have to admit to loving Chase the most.
Rocked
I love everything Black Light and that means that this book has left me deeply conflicted. As individuals I love Jonah and Sami. Once we could see all the pieces to the puzzle, it was easy to see where all those big negative emotions were coming from. What I didn’t always enjoy were the actions those emotions prompted. Their reunion scene has the potential to be extremely triggering for some readers. I thought it was extremely well written and it conforms to what the characters know at the time, but it’s a rough way to be introduced to their dynamic. On a lighter note, I loved getting a chance to see Jaxson, Chase, and Emma again.
Exposed
Wow. The emotion and angst are strong in this story. Maddie’s stumbled down the rabbit hole into a world where lies are like poison and she’s lying as if her life depended on it. Thomas is immediately smitten with the feisty redhead, but he knows there has to be more to her story than she’s letting him in on. I started my journey in the world of Black Light much further into the series so I kind of already knew what the outcome was going to be. That didn’t stop me from getting sucked into the powerful emotional undertow this pair creates. I was nearly in tears when everything started falling apart on Maddie and Thomas; that’s how invested I was in seeing them get their forever. I loved seeing how carefully their friends look after the pair and, as an outsider, I adored watching all the meddling. I’m so anxious to see what’s next for the world of Black Light.

I’m a lover of boxed sets and was excited to hear about this latest from Black Light!!

Infamous Love
This was my first read by this author and I absolutely loved it! One of my favorite genres is menage and BDSM and boy this book didn’t disappoint! It tells the story of Emma, a college student trying to make her way in life. And Jaxson and Chase, two famous models who come to meet her while she is in Europe. The chemistry between these three is off the charts! After one magical night they part ways. Do they find each other again? You will have to read this to find out. This book is extremely well written and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Black Light: Rocked
Wow! What a fabulous read! After reading Infamous Love, I had to read this book. The story revolves around Samantha, a law student still pining after her lost love. And Jonah, a rockstar known as Cash Carter to his fans. It’s been 7 years since Samantha and Jonah parted ways, and they reconnect at one of his concerts. But things never go the way they should. Both Samantha and Jonah have a lot of secrets in their past. Can they overcome them? Do they belong together? I loved how the characters from Infamous Love were scattered throughout this book. This is a great start to the series and can’t wait to read more. This book is hot and I loved every word written!

Black Light: Exposed
Hot damn! This was my first read by this author and boy she didn’t disappoint. This story revolves around Thomas, a prominent politician and Madeline, an aspiring reporter. One night Maddie accidentally stumbles onto something she shouldn’t and meets Thomas. From there it spirals and you are left wondering what will happen! The chemistry between these two is chart topping. I didn’t want to put this book down and certainly didn’t want it to end. You will love it as much as I did.

These three books consist of a prequel and the first 2 books in the Black Light Series. They are well-written, emotionally addictive and incredibly erotic.

Infamous Love (prequel) by Livia Grant
While in France, two extremely attractive male models serendipitously meet and rescue a Wisconsin graduate student, who considers herself quite seriously unattractive. What these men see in her is her honesty, humility and sincerity, along with a voluptuous body just made for submission.

Black Light Rocked (book 1) by Livia Grant
I love it when a story pulls you right in, and that is exactly what happened with this one. Although the story itself is interesting, the power-exchange between doms and subs was introduced quickly enough for me to be both enticed and intrigued. OMG! The BDSM scene in the club was amazing. I could barely breathe while reading it. Then, I was breathing too hard. What a fabulous, vicarious experience!

Black Light: Exposed (book 2) by Jennifer Bene
Maddie is a copy editor for a free ad paper. She is searching for a unique story that will catapult her journalism career into a major newspaper. Believing something nefarious is occurring at Runway, she perseveres.
Madeline’s sneaky entrance into the hidden Black Light Runway, just tickled my mind. She met Thomas as she tried to enter the club. He asked her if she would like to play, and she replied, “Yes.” She had no idea what she was volunteering for. Maddie thought she was delving into a gamboling den; instead she discovered a secret BDSM sex club. OH MY!!! What a discovery!

These Black Light stories are amazing. They held my interest from start to finish and I recommend them highly.

Livia Grant and Jennifer Bene have created this wonderful world, and we see how BDSM club Black Light comes to life. It's my favourite series ever, and long may it continue to grow.

Infamous Love by Livia Grant
I have the e-book and also the audio version, which I really enjoyed. It's the story of Emma, a young American woman travelling in Europe, and Chase and Jax, international models who help and befriend Emma. After having a hot summer fling with two hot guys, could Emma resist them if they wanted the her, girl-next-door they left behind? It's a story of growth for Emma; growing into her sexual self, keeping up with famous, dominant men, learning to be part of a throuple. It's a smoothly written, entertaining story.

Black Light Rocked by Livia Grant
This emotional second chance romance had me close to tears a few times. Samantha has no idea why her best friend Jonah left her seven years ago. Jonah has finally reached his dream of being successful in his band, and while Sami is happy for him, she needs closure. I could feel his anger through the pages. And what Jonah did, and his atonement, broke my heart. So much history for these two, and despite the pain they have been through, they show up in Black Light and play! Loved the characters, and Chase, Jaxson & Emma, and the storyline-so great to know the full backstory.

Black Light Exposed by Jennifer Bene
You know what is coming from the very beginning. But when that train wreck happens, you have no idea how far in Maddie and Thomas are. They were so wrecked, it broke my heart. Maddie had grown so much, with Thomas' love and care, but was it ever real? I loved the appearance of Jaxson and Chase, and how Spencer was involved in making things right.

Infamous Love - Stand-alone prequel to Black Light series. Full length with HEA. Emma has been abandoned by her friend days before leaving France to go home back to Wisconsin. She is a graduate student and has body image issues. She meets Jaxson and Chase at the train station when they save her from being robbed and possibly worse. Jaxson and Chase are models and lovers. I liked that once Jaxson and Chase knew that Emma was it for them, they did not waver or let her get away. Not a lot of drama. Some D/s in the steamy scenes.

Black Light Rocked - First book in series. Can be read as standalone. Full length with HEA. Has secondary characters from Infamous Love the Black Light prequel. Those characters are the owners of a new BDSM club named Black Light. This is a second chance romance with Jonah and Samantha growing up as best friends. When they are dating as teenagers they are torn apart by Samantha's interfering family. Their reunion after seven years is not sweet but steamy because they are both angry and have unanswered questions. I enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it!

Black Light Exposed - Book two in Black Light series but can be read as stand-alone. Black Light is a BDSM club under the night club Runway in Washington DC. Maddie is a journalism major who has always been an overachiever. She will do anything to get a story and real journalism job. Thomas is a congressman who only has time for work. He is a member of Black Light. I like that Thomas is all in and falls hard for Maddie. I also like that once the drama happens it is not long and drawn out but settled in a true BDSM way. Great book, I loved it and highly recommend.

In this series, the beginning of the characters who own the Black Light Clubs is created in the prequel, Infamous Love. Emma is a graduate student who gets stranded in France when her roommate disappears with her latest lover. She is at train station, getting hassled by some hoodlums when Chase Cartwright and Jaxson Davidson intervene. They are famous models. They offer Emma their help, both attracted to her like she is missing piece to their puzzle. Emma isn't model skinny, considers herself dumpy, but neither of them see her that way. She returns to her campus and Teaching Assistant job when Jaxson and Chase decide to take their vacation with her in her attic room and the brainchild for the clubs Runway and Black Light emerges...In Black Light Rocked, Samantha Stone is a law student who found her previous boyfriend Joshua "Cash" Carter, now the head of a famous rock band Crushing Stones was playing at a local club. She wanted closure of why he left her without a word seven years prior, but on rediscovering each other find her father and Josh's manager want them apart...In Black Light Exposed, Madeline is trying to get hired by a real newspaper, gets an offer from the Washington Post to do a piece on the hottest new club in town, Runway. She discovers a lot of the elite who go there disappear on entering, and finds a secret door, leading to Black Light, the secret BDSM club beneath and Congressman Thomas Hathaway offers to take her inside to play....I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

Infamous love

This is a great introduction to the main characters of the Black Light series and is the perfect introduction of Emma and how she met Jax and Chase. I had read other Black Light books before this one and this filled some gaps and made the trio whole for me. Loved it.

Black Light rocked

This book made me cry both from sadness and joy. I loved it even though there was the scene at the beginning where Cash “rapes” Samantha somehow that didn’t affect me as it did others or as I would have thought it would. That being said I do believe Jonah redeemed himself and Samantha clearly forgave him and wanted him to forgive himself. When you discover what Cash went through his attitude is understandable if flawed. Jackson and Chance were great and the friendship with Emma was perfect, it was lovely to see how they have grown together since ‘Infamous Love’. Even Frank turned out to not be so bad. An emotional story but a very enjoyable one

Black Light exposed

This was the first Black Light book I read and I was hooked and when I read it again I loved it even more and knew all the characters from the other books. Thomas is so sweet and caring which seems strange for a politician. Maddie made discoveries about herself and it was great to see her journey. Gilligan/Jamar was also a caring character and the dialogue between Maddie and he was fun and heartwarming. This is a real feel good book and makes the reader feel as if they have had a great big warm hug.

Infamous Love :After reading the whole series, I realized that I never read the beginning of their adventure! Emma is in France with her girlfriend who leaves her to fend for herself, when she meets Chase and Jaxson. They are super models, gorgeous, tall, chiseled and are searching for something. After one night of unbridled passion, Emma returns to Wisconsin and the men to their glamorous lives . Emma is feeling bereft and alone after meeting the men and weeks later when they come to find her, their adventures start. Their story is scorching hot, entertaining and leaves hungry to read the rest of their adventures.
Rocked: This is one of the most powerful books of this series. However, there are some triggers that might upset certain readers. If you are one of them, do not read this book. The story takes place in Black Light, DC and our usual cast of characters are all present. Samantha had her budding relationship with Jonah/Cash ended years earlier for some reasons that will be divulge to you now. She buys a VIP ticket to his DC concert and they meet again. Jonah/Cash, plays hard and fast and he can't let go of his anger towards Sami and her family. As their story unfolds, you understand the depth of feelings that were repressed and what might have been. Their story is dramatic, intense but so enthralling that you will not be able to put it down.

Infamous Love
I love this trio couple more and more. Every time I read a Black Light book I am impressed with how brave and courageous they are.
Having not read these books in order it's nice to read how Jaxson, Chase, and Emma met and began their relationship. This trio is unique, and very much in love. It makes my heart happy when they proclaim "where one goes, we all go".
Livia Grant writes these wonderful stories about beautiful characters in the most difficult roles.

I think, to date, this is my favourite Blacklight book!
Jo ah and Samantha's story pulled at me emotionally because it was about a young love that was lost. Two soul mates who were pulled apart only to never be able to fulfill that empty part of their heart until they find themselves together again years later.
This teenage love blossomed and grew without them being near each other.
Sigh...my heart is happy with this book!
Exposed
Exposed by Jennifer Bene was another fantastic Black Light story.
Thomas and Maddie meet by chance and under questionable circumstances. But Maddie realizes she is a submissive and Thomas finds someone who he has been looking for.
As lies usually do, they come to the surface when they are least expected. And Maddie must own up to her mistakes.

In Infamous Love we get the introduction of Emma the college student to Jaxson and Chase the famous models. The chemistry between these three is combustible they sizzle! After an incredible evening together they go their separate ways. You need to read the book to find out how the story unfolds I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
Black Light Rocked: Is the perfect story to go into following Infamous Love. Samantha and Jonah's story Is complicated to put it mildly. Samantha has been pining for Jonah for several years while he's gotten famous as a rockstar and doesn't see their breakup quite the same so much so that he wants revenge. They both have secrets yet their chemistry is as strong as ever can they overcome the past? Read this AMAZING story to find out!
Black Light Exposed: Gives us Thomas and Madeline's story. Thomas is a politician and Madeline is an aspiring reporter. Madeline meets Thomas when she's snooping around and sees something she shouldn't. What's going to happen? After all Madeline has no business there and Thomas is a prominent figure. You'll have to read this fantastic story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend this book to start this amazingly beautiful series!

The first three Black Light boks all in one boxset. The book that started it all

Infamous Love

A lovely and very hot menage story. Loved the main characters and their relationship. I love a book where characters aren't perfect and have struggles, but do find the strength to stand up for themselves and the ones they love. Looking forward to reading more about Emma, Chase and Jax in the next book.

Exposed
The second book of the Black Light series and My first Jennifer Bene book, but It won't be my last. I loved this book. Maddie and Thomas were great characters and I loved their relationship and Maddies introduction into the lifestyle. And I thought Maddie showed real guts to own up to her mistakes and atone for them.

Rocked

Really liked this. I wished it was longer though, but I hope we will get back for the characters in the next book of the series. It was great to see the characters from Infamous Love again. I really felt for Sami and Jonah and all the time they lost.
