This was the text for a grammar course I took recently (a required course for a certificate program I'm in), and it's pretty darned good, I must say. It will sit on my reference shelf, with all my post-its sticking out and all my pencilled marginalia intact.

There are a couple of glitches in accuracy, but overall this is a clearly written, logically laid-out book with helpful examples, and useful exercises and self-quizzes. I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't studied grammar in a long time, or never has. My grasp of grammar is excellent, but I learned a few things from this book.

And if you write, you could do worse than to have this book on your reference shelf.

This book had a remarkable and unacceptable number of mistakes in very basic grammar information. There are lots of much better ones out there.
