Orchard was traded for a shipyard. Her dad wanted money, and Heath wanted to expand his export business. Orchard was thrown in to sweeten the deal. At eighteen, she knew how to bargain for her life but not her freedom. Five years later, she wants out of the marriage. It’s no longer convenient for her heart, and if she stays one more day, she might not be able to find the courage to leave.
While Heath is willing to give Orchard everything—space, money, his body—he’ll never release her from their vows. To keep her, though, he’ll have to figure out how to turn the marriage of convenience into a marriage of love.
I actually found this story extremely frustrating. So much pushing away that made me not root for the couple. Even though they were married, they really didn’t become a real couple until very late in the book.
-no cheating -no violence of a sexual nature -virgin hero but no word on the hero’s sexual past -safe- neither with others after meeting although in anger he told her he would go to other women (on their wedding night) so for 5 years she thought he was with other women -ok epilogue
I love an arranged marriage story. Heath bought Orchard to settle her father's debt. He didn't expect to fall in love with his young wife but he did. Loved this couple, hero was so loving and obsessed with his wife and heroine was a sweetheart. She didn’t know that her husband loved her since forever. Loved the angst and the sweet epilogue with pregnant with twins heroine. Safety: heroine is a virgin and hero has been celibate for years! No cheating! :)
He married her when she was 18 due to a deal with her father, 5 years later their marriage in name only is about to change - Orchard wants more from life, and her actions cause Heath to realise something needs to change because one thing he refuses to do is let her go.
Wish Orchard's dad had showed up so she could have sucker punched him.
I wanted greater tension to sizzle off the page when it come to Heath and Orchard, that being said this was a super quick, light and fluffy read, which made for a nice way of disconnecting from the work day and transitioning into down time.
This was slow due to miscommunication and wrong assumptions. Ngl, I did like the first 60% because Heath (33) and Orchard (23) were adorable idiots for not realizing what was really happening between them. 🤭
They have been married for five years in the present time. It was insta-love on Heath's side the moment he laid eyes on her. So he proposed to buy her father's shipping yard and marry her at the same time. While Orchard, on the other hand, thought that he just married her for business and sees her as a possession and nothing more. 😬
Gotta say, I love that he let her finish college and knew that she was too young, so he didn't do anything with her. But then again, she hated his guts for the entirety of their marriage, so I cannot say for sure if he would still be a gentleman if she liked him from the start. 🫣
Anyway, Orchard wanted to finally have a family, but since her husband didn't love her (or so she thought), she decided to push his buttons and asked him to let her go (although she didn't like the idea at all).
After seeing his wife's stance on being free, Heath finally pulled his act together and started seducing her. And I guess the readers know how this'll go. 🤭
Anyway, it was cute but frustrating at times, especially when Orchard's immaturity is through the roof. Also, I still feel like half a decade is still quite a waste of time. They could've spent those years happily married and stress-free.
But if there's one thing this author knows very well, it's how to write determined and possessive men who will go the extra mile to get what they want and protect and keep their women. 💖

Estaba enamorado por primera vez y la mujer que amaba me odiaba.
I Always loved you de Ella Goode
I got this book as an arc!! And it was pretty okay good length and little steam.
Marriage of convenience thats what it is between Heath and Orchard thanks to her father who sold her to him. But the pass 5 years he only asked her few things have dinner with him and thats pretty much it. Heath has always felt something more for Orchard but with him taking her he feels she hates him, he only did this because he knew her father would try to sell her to someone else. So he's keeping her safe and sound and gives her everything. Heck she doesn't even sleep in the same room so i gotta give him props that he has been faithful and so nice to her. As for Orchard even if she married Heath she still wants to work and not spend his money.
She has been listening to his rules but their is this tension since she wants that Divorce and he doesnt. Shes annoyed and also confused since he is pushing for more he wants a real marragie she wants something real also. These two sometimes you wanna smack them with their feelings 🤣🤣. Their also a misunderstanding after they first slept together that made Orchard run away.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary charas, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore celibate 5 years

I really liked this story but man did these two need to sit down and have an actual conversation lol! Orchard has been harbouring a lot of resentment towards Heath since they married five years ago. They both have feelings for one another but they hide their true feelings behind anger and indifference. Heath wanted Orchard to live her life and find out who she was before he claimed her. When he puts his plan into motion Orchard was not having any of it but the harder Heath tried the more her walls started to tumble. These two really just needed to sit down and have a good chat and all would have been better!
Safety and Spoilers Completely safe. No ow/om drama, was a weird manager at the grocery store who gave h a hard time a few times but nothing serious happened. H has been celibate for at least five years, nothing was mentioned about his life before h. h was a virgin. No abuse.

"Always Loved You" is the story of Orchard and Heath.
Our main couple is "trapped" in a marriage of convenience, ever since the young heroine was sold into it by her shipping magnate dad. While he has always wanted her, she has stayed away, choosing to get education and eventually a job at her own merit. Five years of this bland reunion hits a roadblock when the heroine starts considering a divorce, and the hero finally making a play for her heart and making his true intentions known..
Ella Goodes name is enough for me to one click. Some authors try to replicate sheet, steamy reads and can deliver in every way. With story, characters and emotion. Ella’s in that category.
Sweet heroines that are likeable, quirky and innocent. They need someone to love them. Because in return they’ll love with all their heart.
I loved these characters. And I loved that they got their HEA. My only problem is that the situation with Jeff was unresolved. I read an advanced copy of this book.
This one made my heart hurt a little. A marriage of convenience for five years! Heath bought Orchard to settle her dads debt. It’s a long 5 years, but they finally come together. The pent up words between them is what made my heart hurt. HEA and wonderful epilogues!
I think I would love this story if it weren’t for the fact it took the hero five years to realize how to treat his woman right. I mean, seriously? Now that I am writing that, it makes me laugh hard, because it’s so freaking ridiculous, it’s become hilarious.
I love a romance story where the couple is already married. Love it! Ella delivers a story about Heath and Orchard who have been married for five years. There is marriage is one of convenience and not love. But, they both love each other. Can these two turn there marriage from a convenience to love? It sure was funny to read about Heath trying. I highly recommend this one!
I have a girl crush on Ella Goode. I love her books because they have interesting characters - usually with a sexy alpha male and a heroine that is likable. There are always sexy, naughty scenes with dry wit and humor thrown in. This one is a bit unusual where the couple have been married for five years when the story starts and I enjoyed reading it.
I really wanted to like this story more. I don't have an issue with stories where the couples are already married, because let's be honest, once you get married problems and strife don't just seem to disappear and never occur. However, I there's no real marriage between these two. They are basically roommates who go about their own lives, except for dinner every night because that's the one stipulation Heath demanded.
There's nothing to really like about either one of these characters. Orchard is an immature little girl with daddy issues...yes I said it, she has a need to find love where ever she can because she never got it from her daddy. Where was her mom? We don't know, that's just one of the many details left out of this book. Heath is an asshole to everyone, yet expects Orchard to just realize he has been in love with her since he laid eyes on her. 5 years of hate and misunderstandings could've been handled had they had one simple conversation.
Loved this one! Arranged marriage is a trope I love and I really liked that the hero had to chase the heroine and break down her walls, get her to fall in love with him.
Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned except to say he’s been celibate since meeting heroine and he didn’t come off as a manwhore. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No others, cheating or sharing. HEA with epilogue
Heath and Orchard have been married for 5 years and think the other hates each other. Can he find his way to show his love for her before it’s too late??
-safe read -h is a virgin -no talk about H past -no om/ow drama -epilogue a few months out
