This book was........everything! <3
Sigh. Dagan....my sweet, lonely Dagan!
I wanted to hug him throughout the whole book!
He had a secret that he was holding back from the rest of the team.
Our warrior is a vampire.
He was cursed to drink blood to survive.
“Dagan was a god—a Sumerian god.
But he was a vampire, too. How did that happen?”
When human Shae comes into his life, let's just say, they didn't start on the right foot!
“Don’t ever fucking touch me like that!” Her slanted eyes glowered like a wildcat’s in the dark. Shaking her fingers, she stormed off, muttering in disgust. “What the hell was I thinking trying to help that barbarian? I should have just left.”
“You kidnapped me? Brought me here because I wouldn’t talk to you?”
“If you want to give it a label, then sure.”
And let's not forget - they were explosive together!!!
The sexual tension was off the charts, exactly how Georgia Lyn Hunter knows how to build with her engaging & beautiful writing.
“If you think I’m such a damn liability, why the hell don’t you lock me up?”
“Don’t tempt me, Shae—” His nostrils flared. “I’m this close to losing—”
“What? Your temper? You wouldn’t know how if it bit you in your—oomph!”
His mouth slammed down on hers in a searing explosion of fury.”
“I hate you.”
“No, you don’t.” He rubbed his unshaven jaw wearily. “It’s why this is so damn hard.”
You see what I mean?
I loved their bickering! Shae is independent, feisty and no a pushover, and she gives as good as she gets.
They both are struggling with their lives. Shae is on a mission to find her missing mother, and finding out what really caused her father's death, while controlling her awakening powers. Then, she is thrown into a new world, alone... without her family & friends. She was scared and lonely.... her only bright light was Dagan.
Dagan was in a constant battle with his bloodlust by feeding of animals. But it's not enough... To survive, and keeping his powers - he had to feed from a female.
“He was hard, with so many rough edges. Life had made him what he was. But no one deserved the kind of horror he’d endured. And she’d do all she could to help make it better.”
At first, he was suppose to only guard her, protect her from outside force. But soon, he'll realize that this firecker was his destined mate, and held the light in his cold heart.
“That’s my dagger.”
“So?” She stepped over his ankle and headed back to the half-cleaned vegetables then deliberately started paring another.
“So, it’s intrinsically linked to me…because it’s my mate’s dagger.”
She stiffened. Good, she knew what that meant. Just as fast, a short snort followed. “When you find her, I’ll hand it over, along with my condolences. Until then, you’re not getting it back. I need it for the kitchen. And it’s nice and sharp.”
Their love wasn't easy. But I loved to read how both of them evolved together, and separately. Both coming to terms with their past to build a better future for themselves.
“Her lips moved against his, a soft moan escaping her and setting his senses alight. It was the most intense physical pleasure he’d ever experienced in his long life as she kissed him back.”
Guardian Unraveled has everything you are looking for in a book! Sexy, romantic, passionate, action packed and my favorite - SAFE :D I love the humor, friendship and loyalty this character had. The paranormal world was amazing. The secondary characters were as usual engaging and I can't wait for Race & Nick books along the rest of the gang!
Can be read as a standalone!

I love everything that Georgia Lyn Hunter writes and “Guardian Unraveled” did not disappoint. I was hooked after reading the first page. I loved reading Dagan and Shae’s story, and watching them evolve together. This story has everything in it, and it will not disappoint. If you haven’t started this series, I highly recommend it along with the Warlords of Empyrea. I can’t wait for the next in either series, I am hoping it will be Tyr’s, either way it won’t disappoint.

Such a good series! This book was really good, but had a couple of elements that would not allow 5 stars for me.
First the Dagan pushes Shae away (physically - not emotionally) most of the book. He had his reasons, but I wished he were braver.
The ex FB goddess storyline really rubbed me the wrong way. I hated the angst of it. I found it a bit too stressful.
Otherwise, this was a good edition to the series!

La Hope Edizioni ci ha fatto attendere qualche mese, ma finalmente, il 19 maggio è prevista la pubblicazione nel nostro Paese di Il Guardiano rivelato, terzo volume della serie Fallen Guardian di Georgia Lyn Hunter, che ho il piacere di recensire per voi in anteprima.
Questo capitolo è dedicato a Dagan, il più misterioso e taciturno dei guardiani. Il guerriero è il discendente di un potente Dio sumero e, come tutti gli altri caduti, anche lui è stato relegato per secoli nel Tartaro a causa del fallimento di una missione affidatagli. La punizione inflitta a Dagan ha avuto conseguenze terribili. Lasciato a patire la fame, la sete e costretto a essere dilaniato giorno dopo giorno da orribili volatili vampiri, il guerriero ha ceduto ai suoi bisogni primari, azzannando alla gola uno dei terribili mostri alati e condannando sé stesso a dipendere dal sangue per il resto della sua vita. Dagan, si vergogna profondamente di ciò che gli è accaduto e, per questo motivo, ha nascosto il suo segreto anche ai suoi più stretti alleati.
Mentre è sulle tracce di un terribile killer sovrumano, Dagan si imbatte in Shae Ion, una ragazza umana con l’abilità di vedere gli Altri. Shae è in cerca di sua madre ed è disposta a tutto pur di ritrovarla, anche avere a che fare con crudeli esseri soprannaturali. Un incontro fortuito la porta a incrociare la strada del bellissimo e sensuale guerriero caduto, a cui la giovane umana verrà affidata, con il compito di tenerla al sicuro e di insegnarle, al tempo stesso, a controllare i suoi poteri in crescita.
Dagan e Shae si desiderano a vicenda, sono anime destinate a stare insieme ma la maledizione che grava sul guardiano potrebbe ucciderla. Per questa ragione Dagan rifiuta categoricamente di assaggiare il suo sangue. Ma se i suoi fossero solo timori infondati?
Tra presunti compagni che rivendicano per sé la ragazza, segreti svelati e nuovi misteri, anche questo volume della serie catturerà sicuramente la vostra attenzione. Non intendo divulgare troppe informazioni su questo libro, ma posso assicurarvi che non rimarrete delusi.
Innanzitutto devo ammettere che il tempo per poter garantire una recensione in anteprima era davvero poco: mi è toccato leggere con frenesia le pagine di questo terzo capitolo della serie e questo mi è dispiaciuto perché, nonostante lo stile dell’autrice sia fluido, la storia è molto intricata e ricca di dettagli, quindi avrei preferito godermi a pieno ogni particolare e avere il giusto tempo per collegare i vari accadimenti e ipotizzare i futuri sviluppi della trama. Purtroppo non è stato possibile quindi sicuramente mi prenderò un momento per rileggere tutto con più calma e dedicare a questo libro il giusto tempo.
Premesso ciò, come negli altri volumi, anche in questo il ritmo narrativo è veloce, non manca l’azione e le scene di passione, seppur molto esplicite, risultano ben dosate. Il Guardiano rivelato è senza dubbio il libro che, con i suoi protagonisti dà vita alla lealtà, alla passione e alla forza dell’amore.
In ogni volume mi scopro ad amare con maggiore enfasi l’articolato worldbuilding che la Hunter ha abilmente creato e ad apprezzare sempre di più l’abilità dell’autrice nel creare personaggi articolati, con storie e personalità sempre diverse e molto particolari.
I protagonisti di questo terzo volume non fanno eccezione. Dagan incarna l’eroe per eccellenza: passionale, valoroso ma anche molto orgoglioso! Shae è uno dei personaggi più cocciuti e ostinati che mi sia mai capitato di incontrare. Ho apprezzato, in particolare, il modo in cui i due hanno costruito la loro relazione nel bel mezzo di tutto ciò che stava accadendo. È stato inevitabile affezionarsi immediatamente a questa nuova coppia, che vediamo interagire anche con i protagonisti dei precedenti volumi della serie.
In questo nuovo capitolo facciamo anche la conoscenza di altri due guerrieri che vivono nella sede distaccata in Romania. Uno di loro mi ha ricordato molto Rhage, personaggio sicuramente noto alle amanti della famosissima serie La confraternita del pugnale nero della Ward (se leggerete il libro capirete il perché); l’altro, Nick, ha scatenato subito le mie più remote fantasie e spero di leggere presto un libro a lui dedicato.
Lo stile dell’autrice si conferma superbo, così come l’elaborata trama e i numerosi personaggi. Ho adorato ogni pagina e non vedo l’ora di leggere il prossimo della serie. Una lettura, insomma, da non perdere.

In questo nuovo capitolo facciamo anche la conoscenza di altri due guerrieri che vivono nella sede distaccata in Romania. Uno di loro mi ha ricordato molto Rhage, personaggio sicuramente noto alle amanti della famosissima serie La confraternita del pugnale nero della Ward (se leggerete il libro capirete il perché); l’altro, Nick, ha scatenato subito le mie più remote fantasie e spero di leggere presto un libro a lui dedicato.
Lo stile dell’autrice si conferma superbo, così come l’elaborata trama e i numerosi personaggi. Ho adorato ogni pagina e non vedo l’ora di leggere il prossimo della serie. Una lettura, insomma, da non perdere.

Il Guardiano Rivelato è il terzo ed auto-conclusivo romanzo della serie paranormal romance dedicata ai Guardiani Caduti. Per immedesimarsi al 100% nello scenario mitologico creato dall'autrice e per conoscere le storie di alcuni personaggi secondari presenti, io vi consiglio di partire dal primo volume, ma se volete iniziare da questo, perché no?
Il protagonista maschile è il dio sumero Dagan, il più solitario e schivo tra i Guardiani Caduti.
Ogni personaggio creato dalla Hunter ha uno scheletro nascosto, un tormento interiore che cerca di tener segreto al resto del gruppo (Tranne all'Arc Michael, lui sa sempre tutto!), e Dagan non è da meno vista la maledizione che lo ha trasformato in una specie di vampiro.
Dagan si nutre infatti di sangue, lo brama, ma quello animale spesso non è abbastanza per mantenerlo in forze, ciononostante berlo da un essere umano non è contemplato per via dei troppi rischi.
Shae è una ragazza umana dotata di capacità sovrannaturali sin dalla nascita e consapevole della presenza di demoni e Altri nel mondo.
La protagonista femminile è un tipo interessante e ricco di sorprese, non solo per chi legge, ma anche per se stessa. Diciamo che la sua vera essenza si rivela pian piano con l'avanzare della trama e delle sue abilità inaspettate. Inoltre è quel tipo di eroina che non subisce, ma estrae gli artigli!
Il rapporto tra Dagan e Shae non inizia esattamente con il piede giusto, sono quel tipo di coppia che parte da una situazione conflittuale e di convivenza forzata, soprattutto perché lei si trova nel mirino di certi demoni ed ha bisogno di costante protezione. E a cosa servono i Guardiani Caduti? Ma a difendere i mortali dalle creature paranormali!
La situazione che viene a crearsi è esattamente ciò che piace a me, da una scintilla iniziale la tensione sessuale tra i due protagonisti cresce capitolo dopo capitolo fino a diventare un incendio impossibile da domare.
Nella trama ci sono un paio di personaggi secondari che mi sono particolarmente piaciuti, chissà che in futuro non ci sia più spazio anche per loro! Sicuramente uno di quelli che aspetto di più è Tyr, in questo volume ci viene svelato anche qualche retroscena del suo passato con Dagan.
Se quello che cercate è una lettura paranormal romantica, sexy, intrigante e con personaggi mitologici, questa serie continua ad essere una bella scoperta, questo romanzo in particolare credo che abbia una marcia in più rispetto agli altri, quindi se amate il genere potrebbe essere la storia giusta per voi! Ora aspetto con ansia il romanzo di Tyr e Kira!

I absolutely loved this story!! It was an awesome read and drew me in from beginning to end. The characters were really well written and engaging. In the previous 2 stories we don't get to know Dagen very much so it was awesome getting up close and personal. Shae was a great introduction. She is looking for her mother and dealing with quite a few other things as well. Dagen is tracking a psychic killer and while out on patrol he runs into Shae. He is drawn to her but doesn't quite know what to do about it. He is with her when someone takes a shot at her and so ends up her protector. Shae has no idea what is going on and she is trying to deal with what she doesn't quite realize are her rising powers. As Dagen and Shae get to know each other the attraction grows. Shae understands where Dagen is coming from when she hears his story. I loved how the two of them built their relationship in the midst of everything going on. The sex is explicit but weaved into the story perfectly. It fits the characters and the story line. This story has emotion, action, and intrigue. It pulls you in and you don't want to stop reading. This is the 3rd book in the series and while this does stand on its own pretty well, I would recommend reading the other 2 books as you will get a lot more out of it. This world that Georgia Lyn Hunter has built is a little different and you know more about it when you've read the other 2 stories. I can't wait for the next one in this series!!!

I was waiting patiently to hear when book three of the Fallen Guardian series would be coming. When I found out it would be Dagan's story I was like . . . Dagan??? Oh, I remember Dagan, he's the guy that stands in the back, a loner that never says anything. This is going to be good! I was right, Georgia Lyn Hunter never disappoints me.
The author's main character always has a very unique, very stimulating, very captivating, very masculine persona. Dagan was a mentally tortured big brooding badass. Oh yeah, my kind of guy.
Shae had her own style of badass. And, with the scratching, hitting, and biting what Dagan didn't realize is, the hellcat had him hooked.
With all of this author's stories from page one onward I'm totally invested in the ride that I'm about take. Georgia Lyn Hunter can spin a tale full of action, adventure, courage, and passion. This installment had it all, with an interesting twist that I didn’t see coming.
This is a standalone read and I highly recommend this story. But, please start with book one of the Fallen Guardian series. I wouldn’t want you to miss my favorite Blue Haired Guardian. Excellent Read.

Ms. Georgia nailed it again!!! Guardian Unraveled is Dagan's story. I love how I learned more about Dagan and Shae. The characters, Shae can also kick some a** and I love her!!! Dagan, sometimes he's ok but I still love him tho. The chemistry of the characters are good. Their personalities are interesting and that's one of the things I like about them, you can easily see their difference on the other characters of the previous books. The story....omg!!! lover it!!!!

- Protagonisti
Dagan è un Guardiano taciturno e solitario. Ha passato secoli nel Tartaro come gli altri Guardiani per punizione, ma forse più degli altri l'errore commesso lo ha cambiato facendo nascere in lui un lato che brama sangue e che è in conflitto con la sua parte più umana. Dagan non accetta questo suo lato, al punto da non averlo rivelato nemmeno agli altri Guardiani. È forte, determinato e dedito al suo compito; ma è anche un'anima sofferente, incapace di superare il suo senso di colpa e che lotta ogni giorno contro una parte di sé da cui non vuole farsi sopraffare. Ha sempre voluto tenersi lontano dagli altri per quanto possibile, e certamente avere una compagna non è nei suoi desideri, almeno consapevolmente, perché in realtà l'amore è l'unica cosa che potrebbe forse salvarlo.
Shae è una umana che ha la capacità di vedere gli Altri e il mondo di queste creature sovrannaturali che ai più è sconosciuto. È una protagonista caparbia, decisa a perseguire i suoi obiettivi, che non si fa certo schiacciare da personalità forti come quella dei Guardiani, ma che ha una volontà di ferro. Trovare l'amore non è tra le sue priorità, ma la sua capacità di vedere al di là di ciò che è l'apparenza le permette di andare oltre alle maschere e alle difese di Dagan.
Dagan e Shae sono indiscutibilmente i protagonisti della storia, ma l'autrice ci fa incontrare nuovamente i personaggi dei precedenti volumi e mette le basi per future storie di cui non si vede l'ora di scoprire qualcosa di più.
- La storia
Shae sta cercando la madre scomparsa da casa qualche mese prima e per rintracciarla si troverà a incrociare la strada di creature sovrannaturali, scoprire segreti e...combattere con un'attrazione irresistibile verso un cupo e misterioso Guardiano.
L'incontro tra Shae e Dagan avviene per caso, mentre lei è sulle tracce della madre e lui sta svolgendo il suo compito di caccia a un pericoloso killer. Il loro non è certo un incontro pacifico, anzi sin da subito si capisce che il loro rapporto sarà pieno di battibecchi e attrazione.
Dagan non vuole accanto a sé una donna, e questo lo fa combattere contro quel desiderio immediato che prova per Shae; ma allo stesso tempo cederla ad altri non è per lui concepibile.
La trama si svilupperà tra pericoli e dolore, sensualità e tormenti, ma capitolo dopo capitolo questo amore non potrà che sbocciare, nonostante gli ostacoli e l'impossibilità della situazione.
- Stile dell'autrice
Georgia Lyn Hunter mantiene la caratteristica di una scrittura scorrevole, veloce, ma allo stesso tempo dettagliata e capace di approfondire ogni sfaccettatura dei suoi personaggi.
Il mondo che ha creato è un luogo sovrannaturale che ammalia con il suo equilibrio instabile tra bene e male, perché non sempre chi ha sbagliato è cattivo, ma in ognuno dei suoi protagonisti si nasconde una sofferenza che l'ha plasmato, l'ha fatto diventare ciò che è e solo l'amore sembra portare le soluzione.
- Le mie sensazioni
Finalmente ritorno a una lettura paranormal romance che ne rispecchia tutti i canoni e scritta al meglio. In un momento in cui la realtà ci sta portando via ogni riferimento e sconvolgendo molte delle nostre vite e dei nostri affetti, potersi immergere in una storia in cui l'amore può vincere su tutto, in cui esiste in un modo così predestinato fa bene al cuore. Ed è quello che ho provato leggendo Il guardiano rivelato: emozioni, alternanza di sofferenza e speranza, amore.
- Le mie conclusioni
Il guardiano rivelato è un paranormal romance che non può mancare nella libreria di chi ama questo genere, perché ci conquisterà con una trama articolata, con emozioni intense e due protagonisti che possono solo entrarvi nel cuore.

E quando le sabbie del tempo smetteranno di scorrere per noi, ti amerò anche oltre quel momento, per sempre.
Terzo capitolo della serie di Georgia Lyn Hunter e il terzo si sa, è sempre il migliore. Anche in questo caso questa regola non scritta delle saghe romance ci ha preso in pieno: questo è senza dubbio il migliore dei tre capitoli scritti dalla Hunter, non perché i precedenti siano brutti, ma questo conferma la maturità della storia. La Hunter definisce la strada dei suoi personaggi e arriva dritta alla fantasia del lettore stimolandola, incrementandola e facendola esplodere proprio come i poteri di Shae.
«Hai paura di me.» Gesù, sì. Ma non le era mai piaciuto mostrarsi debole. Gli ultimi rimasugli di cautela si dissolsero come nebbia. «Non ho paura di te.» Un’aria divertita animò gli occhi di lui, come se non si fosse fatto ingannare da quella bugia.
Chi è Shae? Ma la fantastica protagonista di questo libro che, a differenza delle precedenti, mostra un coraggio e una risolutezza che le permettono di tener testa al più terribile dei Guardiani, Dagan, Dio sumero esiliato con gli altri nel Tartaro dopo la scomparsa della Dea della Vita.
Un incontro, il loro, del tutto casuale, che promette scintille sin dalle prime battute, sia per l’ironico battibeccare che per l’indiscussa attrazione che cresce ogni volta che sono vicini e che riesce a far vacillare il più solitario e granitico del gruppo.
«La mia vita ha imboccato un sentiero oscuro, ma è lo stesso sentiero che mi ha portato da te. E per questo… che diamine, non avrei mai pensato che un giorno sarei stato grato al maledetto Destino.»
Dagan non vuole Shae nella sua vita, ma non vuole nemmeno cederla ad altri Guardiani e così, tra inseguimenti e combattimenti all’ultimo sangue, la sua stoicità viene messa ancora una volta alla prova dal destino, solo che questa volta Dagan avrà una risorsa in più: il cuore e la forza di Shae.
Dagan restò lì impalato, stordito, il sangue che scorreva palpitante, come corde che venivano strimpellate. Che diavolo gli era preso? Era da millenni che non perdeva il controllo in quel modo. L’impulso di inseguirla, assaporare di nuovo la sua pelle e saziare il suo appetito gli infuriava dentro, ma cedere avrebbe portato alla morte della femmina. A quel pensiero, qualcosa in lui si richiuse.
La trama è molto intricata e, se nei precedenti la Hunter si lasciava prendere la mano da descrizioni e introspezioni, qui ha saputo dosarli a dovere in modo da creare la giusta suspense e non annoiare mai il lettore.
La componente erotica è presente ma mai eccessiva, rende perfettamente l’idea dell’intensificarsi del rapporto tra i due protagonisti e diventa fulcro vitale del racconto senza però oscurare la trama generale che si fa via via più ricca. Stessa cosa per le paturnie che affliggevano i protagonisti dei capitoli precedenti, Dagan e Shae, a parte una piccola incomprensione dovuta alla testardaggine di lui, non stanno troppo a rimuginare sul perché o meno debbano stare insieme, accettano il destino e basta (pur tentando una iniziale resistenza).

Siamo arrivati al terzo capitolo dei Guardiani caduti, una squadra di immortali forgiati da guerre e battaglie e legati da un'amicizia così intrinseca che li rende fratelli.
Ritornare fra questi ragazzoni e le loro compagne è stato un vero piacere, sollecitata dalla voglia di ritrovare quell'atmosfera con sfumature gotiche ammantata di mistero e magia.
Questa volta è il turno di Dagan, il guardiano caduto più riservato e taciturno di tutta la squadra.
Una notte durante una ronda, mentre insegue una pista, incontrerà Shae Ion, salvandole la vita.
Shae è ragazza indipendente che ha la capacità di vedere gli Altri. Da mesi cerca la madre scomparsa e la sua disperata ricerca l'ha portata sempre più verso un mondo oscuro, mettendo a rischio la sua stessa vita. Così Dagan decide di rapirla portandola al suo quartier generale per tenerla al sicuro, aiutandola inoltre a controllare i suoi poteri svegliati da poco.
Shae ha un caratterino che si scontrerà con l'ostinazione del bellissimo e sensuale guardiano.
Lui non vuole reclamarla per sé perché teme possa ucciderla. La loro relazione turbolenta e osteggiata da forze potenti e oscure che cercano di dividerli.
«Sei il mio sorriso, il battito del mio cuore, la mia intera esistenza. Sarà meglio che tu sopravviva a questa merda, o giuro su ogni stella dimenticata da Dio che ti troverò ovunque e te la farò pagare, in modi che neppure immagini.»
Posso dirvi che della serie ho particolarmente amato questo libro. I protagonisti risultano intensi e profondi. Dagan è uomo tormentato che porta con sé innumerevoli sensi di colpa che gli lacerano l'animo rendendolo ostaggio di se stesso e della sua incommensurabile solitudine. Un essere immortale, si, ma che vive in un calvario tutto suo da secoli e secoli. Lui è un guardiano che protegge gli umani dal mondo oscuro, ma nasconde anche ai suoi compagni una natura che lo rende un temibile predatore, con cui fa i conti ogni secondo della sua esistenza.
Shae è intraprendente, spigliata con un caratterino tutto pepe che renderà difficile a Dagan il compito di proteggerla, anche da sé stesso e soprattutto dalla sua natura predatoria.
Shae alzò lo sguardo, l’acqua che continuava a scorrere lungo il suo volto, e per poco il cuore non si fermò alla vista dell’amore assoluto che lesse nei suoi occhi.
Fra i due non mancheranno battibecchi e scene di sesso molto hot, testimoni di un amore forte e combattivo che non si arrende e che traspare dalle pagine.
Una libro che procede a un ritmo serrato che mi ha tenuta avvinta alle pagine, soprattutto dal 60 % in poi dove gli avvenimenti e le battaglie si susseguono in modo adrenalinico così come i colpi di scena.
Lo stile coinvolgente e descrittivo e sensuale della Lyn con un elevato ritmo narrativo ha saputo regalarmi delle belle emozioni grazie ai suoi affascinanti personaggi a cui ormai sono affezionata e aspetto di rincontrare al prossimo volume della serie.
Ti amo, Shae-gatta. Profondamente, follemente, disperatamente. Quella confessione si impadronì dei suoi pensieri. E quando le sabbie del tempo smetteranno di scorrere per noi, ti amerò anche oltre quel momento, per sempre.
L'autrice mi ha trasportato in una dimensione dove tutto è possibile e dove i miti e le leggende prendono vita. Dove l'amore è messo a dura prova e il lieto fine sembra sfuggire di mano.
Ma l'amore vince su tutto e Dagan e Shae ne sono la prova.

Posso dirvi che della serie ho particolarmente amato questo libro. I protagonisti risultano intensi e profondi. Dagan è uomo tormentato che porta con sé innumerevoli sensi di colpa che gli lacerano l'animo rendendolo ostaggio di se stesso e della sua incommensurabile solitudine. Un essere immortale, si, ma che vive in un calvario tutto suo da secoli e secoli. Lui è un guardiano che protegge gli umani dal mondo oscuro, ma nasconde anche ai suoi compagni una natura che lo rende un temibile predatore, con cui fa i conti ogni secondo della sua esistenza.
Shae è intraprendente, spigliata con un caratterino tutto pepe che renderà difficile a Dagan il compito di proteggerla, anche da sé stesso e soprattutto dalla sua natura predatoria.
Shae alzò lo sguardo, l’acqua che continuava a scorrere lungo il suo volto, e per poco il cuore non si fermò alla vista dell’amore assoluto che lesse nei suoi occhi.
Fra i due non mancheranno battibecchi e scene di sesso molto hot, testimoni di un amore forte e combattivo che non si arrende e che traspare dalle pagine.
Una libro che procede a un ritmo serrato che mi ha tenuta avvinta alle pagine, soprattutto dal 60 % in poi dove gli avvenimenti e le battaglie si susseguono in modo adrenalinico così come i colpi di scena.
Lo stile coinvolgente e descrittivo e sensuale della Lyn con un elevato ritmo narrativo ha saputo regalarmi delle belle emozioni grazie ai suoi affascinanti personaggi a cui ormai sono affezionata e aspetto di rincontrare al prossimo volume della serie.
Ti amo, Shae-gatta. Profondamente, follemente, disperatamente. Quella confessione si impadronì dei suoi pensieri. E quando le sabbie del tempo smetteranno di scorrere per noi, ti amerò anche oltre quel momento, per sempre.
L'autrice mi ha trasportato in una dimensione dove tutto è possibile e dove i miti e le leggende prendono vita. Dove l'amore è messo a dura prova e il lieto fine sembra sfuggire di mano.
Ma l'amore vince su tutto e Dagan e Shae ne sono la prova.

A fianco del nostro protagonista maschile, appare sulla scena Shae, una ragazza umana che possiede, però, poteri divini. Lei è alla costante ricerca della madre scomparsa, pronta ad affrontare qualsiasi pericolo pur di ritrovarla.

Recensione a cura di Lady Hawk per Feel the Book
Siamo al terzo volume di questa bella serie urban fantasy. Il protagonista stavolta è Dagan, dio sumero, alto due metri, con lunghi capelli neri, legati con delle trecce, e occhi gialli citrino, freddi come il ghiaccio. Un vero duro.
Poi abbiamo la nostra protagonista, Shae Ion, una fotografa freelance sulle tracce della madre scomparsa e dotata di percezione extrasensoriale che la mette in grado di “vedere” il mondo di Dagan.
Due persone dal carattere forte e le scintille tra loro sono garantite.
Dagan è tormentato dalla sete che tiene a bada fumando dei sigari particolari. Quella sete è la sua maledizione, senza possibilità di appello, memento degli errori del passato. I sensi di colpa lo perseguitano per non essere stato in grado di proteggere la dea Inara, sua sorella. Anche per questo ritroviamo Týr nel ruolo di personaggio secondario e futuro protagonista del prossimo libro. Ho trovato molto belli gli scorci del loro comune passato, episodi che ci permettono di capire il particolare rapporto che li lega. Inoltre, ci vengono presentati dei nuovi guardiani, che non vedo l’ora di poter conoscere meglio.
Il personaggio di Shae Ion mi è piaciuto molto, forte e determinata dà del filo da torcere al protagonista, al punto che lui inizia a chiamarla “gattaccio”. È una donna che ha saputo rialzarsi nonostante la sofferenza e ho trovato molto bello anche il suo rapporto con il demone Harvey che diventa il suo miglior amico. In questo è simile a Dagan, anche lui nonostante il continuo dolore ha continuato a fare il proprio dovere, tormentato dalla sete e soggetto a una dea che possiamo definire solo crudele.
La storia scorre veloce soprattutto nella seconda parte del libro, non mancano i colpi di scena e la narrazione è serrata. L’autrice ha uno stile scorrevole che ti tiene incollata alle pagine, soprattutto per la curiosità di capire i misteri su Shae e la madre, che con Hedori ci darà soddisfazioni. Ho apprezzato anche che l’autrice non abbia lasciato fuori i protagonisti dei libri precedenti, aiutano lo sviluppo della storia e portano maggiore struttura alla narrazione. Come sempre il doppio POV permette un’immersione più profonda nei personaggi e nel loro mondo. Il rapporto tra i protagonisti poi è ben bilanciato, tra romanticismo e umorismo.
Proprio una lettura piacevole! Non vedo l’ora di leggere il prossimo.

But it is clear that Dagan is not the only one looking for Shae and soon both of their lives are in danger. Dagan soon realizes that Shae is his mate but he is not willing to risk her life for his own needs.
As Shae still tries to find her mom, Dagan and the rest of the Guardians soon discover that they are in the middle of something much more powerful than they thought possible. Can Dagan save Shae from not only himself but from herself and those she trusted.
This was another good book by this author! The author has a way of blending together worlds where anything is possible and to always expect the unexpected.
I really liked Dagan and how he tried to do his best to protect Shae from his world and his own needs. Yet at the same time he suffered so much because of his devotion to Shae and not wanting to be "unfaithful" to her. I loved that he was so devoted to her but I was mad at the same time as he couldn't do a good job protecting her if he was not healing.
Shae was a great character as we watch her evolve so much through the book into such a kick ass heroine who tried to save those she loved. She had so much trust in others and that was taken from her but she never gave up fighting. I loved how she made Dagan take what he needed from her and had a safety there with Tyr.
There were definitely some evil characters in the book who got what they deserved but you never knew what was going to happen and whose side many of them were on.
I really liked the Guardians and the bonds that they shared. I really liked getting to know Tyr in this book and hope we get more of him in the future!

The long awaited third installment is well worth the wait.
Ms Hunter has done it again in the beautifully written story that takes you to a whole
new level of action, suspense, edge of your seat with twists I didn't see coming. Her writing
is superb and her characters are very well developed. The book was so good, it was hard to put down.
Dagan is a Guardian/vampire who was cursed to drink human blood. He has done his best to
control his thirst for blood by feeding only on animals but it doesn't help much if he is extremely
injured. Shae is a photographer who has been looking for her missing mother. One night she was
attacked by demons and Dagan swooped in to save her.
Dagan is tasked to be Shae's protector but how will he protect himself from wanting her. He has never
felt this way about a woman. Both Dagan and Shae will do everything possible to protect each other.
Their sexual chemistry is awesome and off the charts.
Dagan refuses to feed on Shae no matter how much pain he is in until one night, he was injured badly and
animal blood wasn't enough to heal him quicker. With the help of Tyre by Shae's side he finally succumbed to
the blood lust and fed. Shae's powers have become stronger every day to go against the demons.
I don't want to divulge any more of the book but I can assure you, if you purchase it, you will not be disappointed.
I look forward to reading more from Ms Hunter especially more Fallen Guardians.

He tries to only feed from animals because he doesn't trust himself not to drain a human. To keep his powers he needs blood from a female. The only immortal female that will feed him torments him for her own pleasure.
Shae Ion has been searching for her mother for six months since the argument, when Shae had some sort of magical power flare . Her mother disappeared after that, she might be hiding from her. The strange power she now has is scary and hard to control.
This is an action packed paranormal romance full of fantastic characters. Our poor tormented hero is carrying far too much guilt. Our brave heroine knows about the "others" that inhabit our world but is not prepared for what she must cope with. Lots of scary powerful demons to fight and old enemies to face. They will need the help of the rest of the guardians , all of whom are also great characters.
I loved every page and can't wait to read the next in the series.

Shae is coming into her powers, searching for her mother and is highly affected when she is around Dagan. She spends her evenings hunting demons. Dagan is a guardian who stays a loner as he does not even let his teammates know how he suffers. With other guardians having found their mates, Dagan is assigned the task of watching over Shae when danger targets her..
As we learn more about Dagan and his past we come to admire his fortitude against his many struggles. When Shae moves into the compound and interacts with all who live there we get a true sense of the strength and camaraderie that exists there.
Deliciously intricate detail, danger at every turn and a scintillating relationship result in a thrilling read!! I highly recommend this book and this series!!

I've had the privilege of reading the Fallen Guardian Series, and again in Guardian Unraveled, Georgia Lyn Hunter has proven to be a prolific writer with a new compelling tale.
Her guardians are breathtakingly gorgeous and formidable beyond measure. Dagan meets these requirements and then some. In this installment, the author brings us Shae. An equally powerful woman to match Dagan. I was especially enthralled with the fast-paced action sequences, and a supernatural battle that had me on the edge of my seat.
Let's just say the love scenes are hot, steamy, and sizzling, which Ms. Hunter writes to perfection.
If you like to read paranormal/fantasy with a mythical twist, you'll love Guardian Unraveled.

I love this series!! This is the story of Guardian Dagan, immortal vampire, and Shae, a human with growing psychic abilities. She's a photographer in search of her mother and he fulfills his duty to protect humans from the evils of other realms. When they first meet, both are left stunned but wary of each other. Their path to an understanding is an epic battle!
Ms. Hunter writes incredibly beautiful paranormal romances. The worlds she has created are easily envisioned. Her Fallen Guardians are stunning immortals. Their chosen mates are gorgeous, wise, and with gifts of their own. The love scenes are on fire!! I can't help but linger awhile, languishing in their satisfaction.
I can't say enough about this series. This author is just brilliant. I haven't read them in order. I strongly suggest that you start at the beginning. You won't regret reading these expertly written romantic adventures.

voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book, (No spoilers) Mrs. Georgia lyn has captivated me again! Wanted to read all in one day...but family was like take me to school, make dinner, etc...sigh...so thank you again for drawing me in and making me fall in love with Dagan! This read was dark, humorous, Hot alpha men who are sexy&witty & you just fall in love with, & strong females that never get pushed around! Paranormal romance must read 10 stars! Georgia lyn hunter is my top 5 most favorite authors EVER! LOVED♡♡♡♡♡

Like the other tortured souls of the Guardians, Dagan has his own horrors from his past. He's a powerful Guardian and needs blood to survive. Both he and Shae are characters that stand out throughout the book and you are rooting for both of them. I loved how Shae was independent and feisty, knowing how to fight and not taking crap from anyone, while at the same time trying to find answers to why her mother left.
Again, another wonderful story about the Guardians and their world. Each couple has their own strengths and weaknesses, and Dagan and Shae are no exceptions. I loved it!!

Another fantastic fantasy read. This book is about Dagan, who is a Guardian, but a vampire to boot. Shae is his mate whose father was murdered and mother is missing. Shae tries to deal with her new relationship with Dagan while trying to find her missing mother. Shae also has powers she is just now coming into.
There is always danger around every corner where guardians are concerned because demons never sleep.
I could not put this book down and I love the incorporation of past characters which always leaves me smiling.
