I didn't mean to kiss her in front of her boyfriend.
Okay, yes I did. Fine. Guilty as charged.
Is it my fault Maya Waters, AKA my best friend at college, has the most kissable lips ever?

I see the way she stares at me.
Even if she denies it, I see that look in her eye.
I'd been planning how to ask Maya out fall term.
And then she comes back from study abroad in Italy with a new boy toy.
Maya and I have never been anything more than friends.
She doesn't care that I'm on my way to super-stardom.

And that makes me fall for her all the more.

My grandfather once told me you don't get to choose the woman you fall head-over-heels for.

I just wish it wasn't my best friend.

And I wish she didn't have a boyfriend.

Like the song says, you can't always get what you want.

I'm going to get what I need, though: Maya Waters.

Maya, I don't care if you're not the type of woman a man normally chases after.
I've had my eye on you since the first moment I saw you.
No matter what games we have to play to get there, you're mine.

Ready or not, here I come.

4.5 Friends to Lovers STARS*****

What do you do when the one that makes your heart beat faster, your skin temperature race, and the one that mess up your focus entirely is your own best friend? That’s a big dilemma, and one both Grant and Maya are having in KISS KING.

Their chemistry is simply magnetic, they not only have intense feelings for each other but they have great trust in one another, and both are afraid to mess that up if they act upon their feelings.

Maya’s life is going through a transition since her parents announced their divorce. She now has to figure out how to pay for her very expensive tuition, and to pick a major once and for all. While Maya is pretty much confused about everything, there’s always one person by her side, willing to help, willing to support her in any way; Grant.

Grant is smart, handsome, and just a great guy. His instinct and sensibility are just as great as his sexy looks. He’s never really even thought about love or commitment, but one thing he is sure about is how much Maya means to him and he is willing to do anything for her.

If they finally decide to cross over to lovers' territory, can they indulge in the delicious passion without messing up a beautiful friendship?

I’m a fan of college-themed romances so when the author offered me the book of course I accepted. I’ve been looking for a fun, sexy read to entertain me for the weekend, but honestly, this story gave me so much more than just a sexy smile. Yes it's steamy, yes it's fun, but it reads in a way that answers questions you have in your mind and maybe your heart, and perhaps were too scared to ask. These characters are complex, their many layers will resonate with you in one way or another. Because we’ve all been scared or confused about love, friendship, or about what move to make next in life. I love it when a story surprises me like this when it gives me everything I was hoping for and more.

Mickey Miller is taking readers on a beautiful and romantic ride with this story, and many parts of it will stay with you forever. The good news is this story is filled with other wonderful characters that promise to bring us new, and exciting stories, so enjoy and stay tuned for more from this author.

Grant and Maya were instantly attracted to eachother but neither one knew how to tell the other. So they came up with we will always be friends pact. They instantly became best friends but they couldn't stop thinking of their first kiss. Their first kiss will melt you away. Now we know where Mickey gets the title from. Grant is one hell of a kisser.

Poor Maya parents announce they are getting divorced and that she will have to pay her own tuition. First I was like why is she at a school that is so expensive. Grant won't let her fail he is her rock. At times I was annoyed with Maya. She kept flaking on Grant and other women would have appreciated everything Grant has done for her.

This is my first book by this author but it won't be my last. It's not your traditional contemporary romance because the sex is hot. Thankful for being approved to read the arc in an exchange for an honest review.

Is this actually Mickey Miller

This was one of the worst books I’ve read in a long time. I wanted to quit about 40% in but forced myself to finish it thinking it had to get better. It did not. Some parts jumped months ahead, some got bogged down in unneeded details and pointless dialogue. The characters were just...blah and immature. It had potential to be a great “friends to lovers” story but it was just awful in execution. I honestly have trouble believing it was written by an author that is normally so great.

My first Mickey Miller Book But Most Definitely not my last. Everything about Grant & Maya Are Fantastic.
Can friends become more, that is the question that you will see throughout their story. They have everything they need to be more but taking that leap can be a slippery slope and knowing they are afraid of losing that spark of friendship can be a tough decision. With every page turn the sparks are incredible and the naughtiness is fantastic but what you see is the deep respect that they have for the other and being with each other is so important that you will cheer them o knowing that taking the chance will be worth everything as long it is with the one that is right in front of you.

OMG this book was so hard to get into. I am a huge fan of Mickey’s other works, so I was really excited about this. Sadly, it did not live up to my expectations. The H and h were so all over the place with their relationship and I just didn’t feel like there was any real chemistry between them.

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers, sports romance based around young adults then you will want to grab Grant and Maya’s story. The pace stays steady throughout and I feel that as the story moves further along we get deeper into each character and build a connection with them. The scenes are spicy but not over the top, I felt this story could absolutely develop into a standalone series past book 2.

There are few contemporary romance authors that I can come back to again and again, without hesitation, and know that they will draw me into their world. That their characters will become a part of my life, and I will wait in anticipation to hear the next stories and be brought back into their realm. Mickey does it again, and with two people that I had hoped to read about when they were just snippets in DJ and Alex's life.

Never have I resonated so closely with a female book lead as Maya. Confident in herself and her body, though not without life concerns, she graciously compliments the relationships around her, all the while, missing the effect she has on others around her. Grant was a breath of fresh air as a male lead. Unexpected, as he was introduced in Hatemates as your standard "cocky, popular" guy. It was enjoyable to experience the depth of thought that Mickey afforded him as a young, athlete in a college setting.

5 Stars again for Kiss King because if nothing else (and there was plenty), the Grant Stamp sealed the deal!

I am a sucker for a friends to lovers romance and let me just say that Kiss King was AMAZING!!!!! Loved Grant and Maya so much. The chemistry between them was off the charts. Their sexy times were so hot that I had to fan myself multiple times. I thought my Kindle was going to catch fire. Their story was so much fun to read. I loved watching them trying to keep it causal between them because that is what their brain was telling them to do but their hearts had a different plan and was pushing them towards the true love of their life. DJ and Alex are having some stiff competition with Grant and Maya in the battle of who is my favorite couple. I can’t wait to read more about this group of friends.

I read an early review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow, KISS KING the second book of Forever You Series is a very good sports romance story that was brilliantly written, heartwarming, witty banter, and inner dialogue—it is definitely a breath of fresh air. What a story this is. What a delicious, romantic ride. What a total swoonfest. I am so enamored. So smitten. So absolutely enchanted. An engaging story that will keep you captivated throughout this addictive page-turner. I was hooked from the very first page—laughing, swooning, and fanning. Grant Taylor, the campus king is very handsome, tall, charming, thoughtful, and jock/Mr. Shaman with hopes of playing professional baseball. Maya Waters is a good girl—a responsible, hard-working, tell-it-like-it is person who is comfortable with herself. Maya and Grant were friends who would hang out during their first trimester at college. Grant was someone that Maya felt comfortable talking to and she would trust his judgement. They will fascinate you and frustrate you at the same time. Lines will be crossed. Will their friendship be jeopardized if they cross the line? I can’t see anyone not absolutely LOVING their story. It is so sweet, so easy—a delicious slow burn, friend to lovers, flirting, heartfelt feels, best sexual tension ever, and a dose of unrequited pining where we get to be HER, and go through all of her emotions with her as she struggles with her friend/love relationship with Grant. The storyline is fluid, and the characters are extremely well developed. Mickey Miller has constructed a delectably sports romance that will lure you into the wee hours and beyond that, you will not be able to put this book down. You won’t regret reading Kiss King!

"With some people, you just get this feeling deep down that they're going to be important in your life. And that's what I get with Maya. So, I buckle in."

All through Hatemates I was watching the attraction between Grant and Maya and couldn't wait for their story!! They were such unique, quirky, adorable characters that they took a life all their own, and their story was fun, passionate, intense, engrossing, and such a blast to read. The dance they did around each other was absolutely maddening in the best throw-your-kindle-at-the-wall type of way because they were so stinking HOT together I needed instant gratification, but the Author made us work for that HEA, not knowing at any point if they would ever get their heads out of their collective backsides. They were sweet, brought the heat, and the romance made me grin. I can't wait for more couples!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

"I've never had a problem being forward with a man. So why do my words melt like butter on a hot day when it comes to Grant Taylor? What we just shared? Yeah, that was the king of kisses."

What a treat this story was. The words flowed beautifully and Mr Miller has a real talent for quickly hooking his readers and making them fall in love with the main characters, Maya & Grant.

Kiss King is book two in the Forever You series and can be read as a stand-alone, as we get to know two more students from Greene State University. A friends to lovers story, I was routing for Maya & Grant from the get-go. A delicious slow burn, the feelings are deep, the worries are real and the passion is explosive.

Maya exudes confidence and to the outside world looking in, her course in life is set. I loved that her insecurities and questioning what she wanted out of life, were gradually revealed, and what better man should be by her side during turbulent decisions, than her best friend, Grant. Grant is a character that really stands out. He had an intriguing charm and had so many loveable characteristics. He had this air of calmness but when he got dominant in the bedroom, oh boy did I swoon!

Want an easy flowing story that will hold your attention? Well don’t delay, I highly recommend one-clicking Kiss King.

Great Read!

This fun story is about the age old question, can a guy and girl be just friends? Can they cross that line and remain friends? And most importantly is it worth the risk?

This story follows Maya and Grant.Theses characters were very relatable and it honestly felt like you were there, just hanging out with your best friends.

Maya is the beautiful, self assured, conflicted leading lady. She’s that girl in the room you can’t help but be drawn to. And Grant, don’t even get me started on Grant. He’s the ridiculously good-looking, sweet, deep, charismatic all American guy. And damn is he HOTTTTTT! It’s always the unassuming ones that take you by surprise!

Their chemistry is instantaneous and there is no denying it. They walk that fine line between friends and more than, leaving you begging for the later. It was a feel good read with laughs, lust and love. And it was pretty hot! OK, it was REALLY HOT! I’d definitely recommend it!

With some people, you just get this feeling deep down that they’re going to be important in your life.

This book is a sporty (baseball), friends-to-lovers romcom set in a prestigious Midwest college. It's also easily the hottest book the author has written. The second book in this series of standalone stories with interconnected characters, the focus is quite strongly on Grant & Maya, so don't worry if you haven’t read the first book. What I love about this college romance: Grant & Maya both have an opportunity for them to define your own values and beliefs and start living their lives in that direction. They both have things they need to sort out individually, and let's be honest-Maya's parents' divorce has thrown her for a loop. It's a sizzling slow burn for these two, whose feelings for each other grow, undefined. A fun, sexy story exploring different kinds of love, being true to yourself, and finding your own path.

I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

This book was soo good, once I got into the story I really liked reading Maya and Grants story. They had some of the best steamy scenes I've read and I loved showing more role-play in books. I fell that role-playing is not shown enough in romance novels not focused on it and I loved seeing Grant and Maya figure out what works for them. Also while this book was good, I want to read the next book in the series immediately, no matter who it is about because Mickey Miller built all of their backgrounds in a way that I am so excited for which ever book comes next.

This book got 4 stars instead of five from me because I only give 5 stars to books I don't want to put down and I just couldn't get into this one. I'm just not a huge fan of the friends to lovers beginning. Its just not as fun as other beginnings when their friendship is already established. for whatever character comes next! While this book wasn't completely for me, it is still a wonderfully written book that I would recommend anyone to read!!

Grant & Maya are absolutely fantabulous!

I can't even fully express how much I love this one!!!

I knew I'd love Maya. After all, she's the sex positive free spirit of the girls.

And Grant is her perfect match.

She is feeling a bit shakey in her confidence to start, but Maya finds herself as well as love.

Steamy, humorous, full of chemistry, wit, and feels.

Of course, since it's the second Forever You book we have DJ & Alex, April, Luke, and others from the bookiverse.

I can't wait for the next one!!

Grant stamp of approval!!

The hottest friends to lovers book I have ever read... Grant and Maya are proof that you can fall in love with your best friend and have porn worthy sex as well!!. This book takes you back to your college days and the complex relationships you can have with both sexes. I truly enjoyed this couples journey that started in Hate Mates and developed into love in Kiss King. Also the sex is so hot! Mickey Miller did it again.

I love a good sports romance and Kiss King doesn't disappoint. This friends-to-lovers, college sports romance has it all: fast-paced story line, young, stupid love, slow-burn feelings, likeable and relatable characters.
What more could you want? Oh, wait... you also get fun, humorous and steamy scenes throughout.

I don’t even know this feeling. I don’t know what just happened.” – Maya. Much like Maya this is how I felt about this book. Not sure why. I’m still kind of caught up in the aftermath of it all. This book was very different than how I had initially envisioned it. In all honesty, it left me a bit flustered and overwhelmed. Maybe it was just a matter of too much all at once. Maybe, like Maya, I’m harboring a lot of emotions that I just can’t process in one single moment. At some point it felt like I was suffocating. Or maybe a better analogy to use here would be food. A giant buffet to be exact. You know, like a massive meal. So many delicious choices are presented to you all at once. So you take a little of everything. And you keep doing it over and over again because it all just tastes so damn good and you’re hungry for it all. Consuming every delicious morsel continuously. But once you’ve totally gorged yourself on everything you then realize….damn too much too soon. And you end up feeling ill. Of course I’m not saying this book actually made me feel physically ill. More like I was having a hard time digesting it all at once. I was having emotional digestive problems (do they make a pepto-bismol for that?) Don’t get me wrong there are A LOT of good and hot moments in this book. I love how Maya and Grant just work so well together. As a couple they are like sexual napalm. Very explosive! There was a lot of layers being peeled back. Lots of meaty flesh to dig your teeth into. And let’s face it…. Grant, damn! That man is some kind of sex God in my opinion. This is in fact a great book. I think the problem here is that it’s too good. And I just can’t deal with it. LOL. I don’t have the emotional and mental strength to register it all. I liked it enough to the degree that I almost hated it (if that makes any sense at all). Maya and Grant are such a “power couple” in so many ways. And all those ways, I think, is what everyone wants and needs in their life. That’s what makes them so likeable and envied. This is a great book. But for me I think it would have been better in smaller doses. I should know better. Regardless, this book is amazing and I think after a bit of digesting time it will all sit better with me. (Oh, and Maya’s movie pick: Practical Magic. I love that damn movie).

This has to be one of the most boring books I have ever read! I skipped pages hoping to find the fire and passion, anything between these characters. The first book in this series was Hate Mates and I remember thinking as I was reading “where is the chemistry and passion?” Same in this book. The characters are immature, especially the female. She has another boyfriend during their mutual attraction to each other and even though the male really likes her he seems hardly fazed by the fact she is sleeping with someone else. She talks openly about her sexual encounters with others to him and he shows no alpha tendencies, just weakness. Ugh! Done with this author!

Wow, it just dawned on me that I’ve been with this magical unicorn of contemporary romance (a man who writes romance) since the beginning. It's been an exceptional, entertaining journey, full of humor heat and heart, and it just keeps getting better and better!

If you’ve seen any of my other reviews, you might know of my predisposed prejudice against NA/YA romance. With this talented master scribe, however, I know my reader's heart is safe from contrived angst and that I’ll enjoy every step of the journey -- laughing as I go, requiring a fire extinguisher for my Kindle, and having my heart manipulated in the very best of ways!

Grant Taylor is a big man on campus, a baseball star and a legend with the ladies, but people who really know him see his big heart and philosophical soul. Maya Waters is confident and comfortable in her own skin, has some legendary skills she doesn’t mind bragging about, and has never met a stranger. She and Grant are best friends, until they decide to explore their mutual attraction, while still remaining friends. (Cue my gleeful laughter and commentary of “Right. We all know how that works out.”)

Their story is lighthearted and fun, then turns to deep and philosophical, then back to humor and straight into I’m-still-fanning-myself heat, while playing my heartstrings along the way. One of the best parts is the emotional component, their soul-deep connection. The one that we readers are privy to while Grant and Maya are still figuring it out. It just doesn’t get any better!

Even if you’re not a NA/YA fan, I implore you, give this one a chance. The storyline moves at an exciting pace, the characters are deep, multi-layered and mature, and Maya and Grant will own your heart before you even realize it. If you haven’t read a M.M. book yet, all I can say is, “What in the world are you waiting for?!” Unicorn writer, people. Unicorn! Truly, this must-read is one you absolutely don’t want to pass up!

"I tried to be casual with you. I tried not to love you, because I knew it would make things more complicated with us. I failed at that. I'm a big fat failure at not loving you."

Awww.. this was such a sweet story. A slow-burn, friends-to-lovers, sports romance, college romance, characters at a cross-roads kind of story.

First, let's talk about Maya. After missing last semester when her parents divorced, she's back at school, trying to get back to normal. One thing that is not normal is her reaction to Grant Taylor. They've been friends since they first met, so why does he make her knees wobbly and her heart race? He "friend-zoned" her from the beginning, leaving no doubt that he didn't have the same reaction to her. As they spend more time together, and lines get crossed, she's finding it more difficult to deny her feelings, and her hopes that Grant sees her as more than just some fun between the sheets. Between her parents, the pressure from her dad about declaring her major, and deciding whether to follow her dreams or following her father's demands, does she really have the time to follow her heart? Does she really have time not to?

Now, lets' talk about Grant. He's not your typical jock. Yes, he's an amazing pitcher for the school baseball team, and yes, he's tall and muscled, but there's a side to Grant that will have all the women swooning, and maybe even some guys. He's a romantic. He's not a player. He's insightful, supportive, and protective. Oh, and he's had it bad for Maya Waters since he first laid eyes on her. The only problem is, she "friend-zoned" him a long time ago, making it clear to him that she didn't feel anything else for him. Spending time with her, leads to lines being crossed, secrets being kept, but a whole lot of fun. Does he dare put his heart on the line and tell her how he feels? Does he dare not to?

Ok, these two needed to be slapped upside the head. Young love can be so stupid sometimes with the insecurities of thinking the other doesn't feel the same way, not wanting to put a label on what is CLEARLY a relationship. Were we all that way in college? Probably. But, these two finally get it together, even after their hair-brained money making scheme goes viral and just about ruins everything.

This is a great series, and Kiss King is the perfect addition to it. If you haven't read the series, go grab book 1, Hatemates now. Trust me, you'll be one-clicking Kiss King too!! I can't wait to see who's story is next!!

You believe in love at first sight? Maybe... Grant can make the blind a believer! Can 1 kiss determine if that person is the right one for you? Does their kiss make you say "Hell Yeah!"?

The story of Maya and Grant was a battle between taking a chance or not. The battle between being a believer or not.

"There are some risks in life that you can't take. And there are others you can't not take."

How can you compete with that logic. Grant is such a breath of fresh air. The way that his mind can dig deep into a persons fears or their logic and make sense out of it. Maya being the free spirit that she is, we learn that of course she has fears as well. We find out that regardless how much you trust someone, it just might not be enough.

This story played with my heart strings as most Mickey Miller books do. The words took me to another place and made me feel as if I too was going to Greene State University, and was just watching everything unfold like a bystander. I can say that I am one of Mickey Miller's biggest fan with his Sports Romances and this definitely was no exception! It was so amazing!

There are so many quotes that I could sit here and post to show you all why this is a book for you to read, but then I would be telling it all, and this is one series that you definitely need to read for yourself. I am excited to read April's story!!! I can feel that, that story will be epic and a force to be reckoned with.
