King

We never play by the rules. In life, in music, or in bed. Rules are for those who give a f#ck what other people think. The only opinions we care about are our own.

We love each other like brothers, only closer. We’re each other’s biggest support and greatest rival, and we give each other everything. In life, in music, and in bed.

We’ve been sharing women since the first time we realized we had eyes on the same girl. That time, and every time since, it was the perfect solution. No harm, no foul.

No woman has ever been a source of strain on our relationship.

Until we meet Quincy.

With her, something feels different.

We’re different.

The friction she causes between us is like nothing we’ve ever felt toward each other, and it’s threatening to tear us apart.

He had her first. I want her more. Why do I need to make her mine?

When three classical musicians are forced into a collaboration, nothing that comes from it is expected by the three. The thing is, King and Rome have an atypical bond. Brothers from another mother. They're used to doing everything together, sharing things, even women. They also compete like brothers. What they don't expect is to find themselves in competition for Quincy, the third in their new collaboration. But Quincy will eventually choose, or should I say, her heart will choose, one of these two men.

Hot damn, this is one crazy sexy intense story. I'm not normally into love triangles, but Plucked is fabulous. The push and pull, the sexual tension, and the sensual tone, damn, so good! I love it and cannot wait for book 2.

Absolutely brilliant with five raging blue-hot stars!

Two men, one woman, a love triangle with a difference. Holy Goodnight!
When a hot as fuck double act becomes a triple, you know you are going to be turning those pages quicker than lightening.

Bowed and Dangerous – what a perfect title for these two bad boys. Brothers in the bond they have for one another. Roman “Rome” Ivanenko has an aura of defiant darkness, he is the perfect naturally gifted musician. Having lived a tough life as a young street performer in the old country it was easy to fall hard for this sublimely gorgeous, vodka loving, arrogant genius. Dark hair and eyes and just the right amount of ink, his rare smile is a gift. He is the polar opposite to Anthony “King” Kingston with the perfect all-American looks, blond with bright blue eyes, extremely talented and equally dishy, only this hunky beast was a little more refined and charismatic. They were a majestic duo on stage and in the sheets.

Que Violin – Quincy Copeland is a stunning statuesque solo artist as talented as she is beautiful. She has strengths that have been hindered by close-minded record producers.

Life changes for the three of them when their record labels amalgamate, and they are forced to work together. From the prologue this book was hot. There is history here between Rome and Quincy.

I loved the banter back and forth between these bad boys, it was hilarious, and Quincy just brings it to next level with her sharp wit and sarcasm. Quincy is awesome. Another one of this amazing authors books so visual playing out before your eyes, it is a very entertaining book. An excerpt of a tiny glimpse of what went down on stage. This is a definitely must read.

“Gripping their instruments between their toned thighs, the topless, leather-panted duo were nothing short of sex on legs, owning the stage, and no doubt, the libido of every woman-and a good number of men-in the room.”

“Everything about the trio was mesmerizing, not just the way they played. While the two guys remained stationary, Copeland glided about the stage, flitting between them, the entrancing strains of her violin and the dulcet tones of her earthy voice, drawing their hungry eyes to her like a sirens song.”

“They were so lost in her, that we, the audience, somehow felt like voyeurs, watching on as their torrid affair played out on stage before us. ‘Will they won’t they? Have they, haven’t they?’ As we were driven mad by this ever-present question, the music they created together took us on a complex journey of longing, lust and love.”

One of my best for 2020. Book one in the Classical Badboy's Duet. Wow...Bring on Bowed!

The chemistry between Rome, King, and Quincy is off the charts in this first part of the Classical Badboys duet.

Rome is the bad boy of the trio. He doesn't think the rules apply to him. He is happy as long as he has his vodka, and a girl to keep his demons at bay. He is sexy, dominant, and extremely alpha.

King is Rome's complete opposite, and spends a good amount of time trying to keep him in line. Together they make up the group Bowed and Dangerous.

Quincy is a solo artist who has been held back by her record label. She is beautiful, and knocks the guys off their feet.

I loved the banter between Rome and King. They definitely acted more like brothers.

I cannot wait for more of this amazing trio after that ending!!!

“You’re kind of right about the chemistry. Kind of way off base. Yes, there is a lot flying around right now, but it’s not each other we’re hot for, it’s you. Both of us.”

Ms Ellis has delivered the first book in the Classical Bad Boys duet, which has me up on my feet wanting more! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 “Encore” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 “Encore”
I was captivated by this book from the moment I saw the cover and read the blurb. Once I began reading it I was unable to put Plucked down. The two male leads are almost like brothers, best friends, opposite in every way except for their attraction to Quincy and their music. Quincy is kind of shy, but she’s not afraid to speak her mind and the banter between her and the boys is hilarious. The steamy scenes had me squirming in my seat and turning page after page.
Now I cant wait to read Bowed to get all the answers.

What happens when record labels merge? Not requiring two classical artists on their books, they expect solo act Que Violin to consolidate with duo Bowed & Dangerous. They have twelve months to use to their advantage, showcasing their ability or waste the time. Quincy and Roman have a history, albeit a short one, the sexual tension is explosive between the three of them. Roman and King are best friends, but are like chalk and cheese. King tends to think about things whilst Roman is like a firecracker waiting to go off. Quincy is attracted to both of them and they most definitely reciprocate her feelings. Will she be a good girl or does she decide to have some fun?

This book had a hopeful start, intriguing characters and a suspenseful beginning, however the structure of the story was a jumbled mess.

Most of the book had a boring path, that made it impossible to relate to the main characters.

I attempt to get into the story about Quincy, Rome and King, I did but I just could not. The composition is very bland and I became lost because the plot wasn’t engaging enough.

Lamentably, the story eventually fell flat for me. The character development wasn't enough for me to invest in the heroes for I didn't find them amusing.

In conclusion... I am not sure about that ending.

This book wasn't for me, it might be for somebody else.

Roman is the bad boy, arrogant musician that thinks the rules don't apply to him. King is his opposite but no less a talented musician and alpha male. Quincy is a solo artist held back by her label until the guys and her are contracted to work together. She also doesn't fawn over Rome and King like other females do in their lives. The chemistry between them is instant and electrifying. This was a hot, sexy story with three people who are extremely talented musically and mixed up in their personal lives. Highly recommended read.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. I wasn't a huge fan of Rome I loved King, but Rome kind of rubs me the wrong way. As for quency I am rotting for her and King. I don't feel Rome is right for her. And I'm hoping that with the next book my opinion of Rome will change.

I loved this book and cannot WAIT for book 2! Quincy, King and Rome had INSANE chemistry and I was going back and forth throughout the whole book wondering who I liked more, King or Rome. King is so patient gentle and sweet. Rome was chaos, lip biting and sexy. I loved them both so much! This next book is going to be sooo good. I want to see more MFM action! Loved this trio!

Plucked by M.V. Ellis is an interesting and messed up combination of music, love and lust. An fascinating story of three unique, talented and emotionally imperfect musicians where friendship and love battle for survival.

Quincy never expected that she has to collaborate with Bowed and Dangerous, the bad boys of modern classical music. But exactly that happened when their record labels are merged and they are under strict contract. So begins the steamy and complicated tale of three hearts.

Rome is the true bad boy. An arrogant sex symbol who literally lives for a good time. He is insanely talented..like a genius. He came from a poor and simple background but he is now one of the most famous musicians. That has not controlled his impulsivity, recklessness and utter disrespect for social norms. He is simply rude and his audacity made me want to slap some sense into him. The other half of the duo, King is almost opposite. He has the dark edge with alpha dominance. But he comes from a better background and he is the calm, rational, calculating and caring one. Quincy is in middle and rightly attracted to both of these magnificent men. She is a power house on her own. She is an incredible musician. She has that sassy fire that made her a challenge. She doesn't melt at sight of these men like 90% of female population. She held her own through the creative process and emerged as partner.

The chemistry is hot as hell. Also it's a whole lot of chaotic. Three people are trying to figure out their emotions and they all have their quirky personalities. So you can expected lots of explosive moments, heartbreaking scenes and a bit of sadness.

The writing of M.V. Ellis was pretty strong and raw. She did not hold back while delivering feels of every kind. An intense and steamy story with some amazing characters.

What a trio! Beautiful, sexy and talented. I love the premise about three insanely talented strings musicians forced together by their record company to combine their careers for the short term. What transpires is a gorgeous creation of inspired music and sexy performances that leaves the audience titillated and in awe. As far as the trio, their chemistry on stage is only matched by their sizzling sexiness off stage. Quincy and Rome started out hot with a up-close, one-time encounter that leaves both wanting more. But Quincy's chemistry with King is just as explosive. I loved these characters. Quincy as the beautiful songwriter/violinist caught between the two hot AF cellists, the bad boy Rome and the cool and collected King. The guys are best friends and different in so many ways except their feelings for Quincy. As Quincy and King grow closer Rome goes off the rails as he watches. It all culminates in a meltdown and the three are forced into a untenable situation. What starts out as a steamy three way turns out with a couple in love and one looking on with his heart on his sleeve. You can feel the love between all three and are left to wonder how it will end. The guys have been "a we" for years without the threat of a girl coming between them until now. I feel for Quincy because it's clear she has strong feelings for both. An intriguing storyline with intensity to the romantic relationship as the three work and play together. A bit of a cliffhanger as Rome tries to come to terms with his new reality and Quincy and King try to hang on to the new highly successful music collaboration and their relationship. Can't wait to see how it turns out. So much love but where to put it all is the question. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

★ “Game on, Que Violin. Game. On.” ~ Rome Ivanenko ★

—>>> Mesmerizing women out of their panties with as much skill as he plucks the instrument of choice at any given moment, Rome has never had any trouble in either department. Ever. But there was one unforgettable woman, the very same one he has just been ordered to work magic with alongside King, the other half of their virtuosic cellist duet. And while they hated the idea of being forced to work together creatively, they were united against a common enemy.

Que Violin’s Quincy Copeland, singer and songwriter, has to produce an album by working with Bowed & Dangerous at the behest of their newly merged record label wanting to shake things up by producing a collaborative album with their talented string musicians or they will be found in breach of their contracts. Attracted to both men, including one she has “met” already, Quincy nevertheless knows that giving her heart to the one who would value her more is the better choice for her.

Really enjoyed this “bad-boy-drama” world of über-gifted musicians, how they were able to make beautiful music both on and off stage as Thoroughly Plucked. Their simmering chemistry gives way to scorching moments together until the three of them shift to settle into a new partnership between the sheets, leaving Rome to spin out of control as the third wheel. Rome is filterless, depraved, and beyond lusting for his best friend’s girl. He powerless to his wants, and what he wants is Quincy, but he definitely can’t have her. Looking forward to BOWED, book 2!

𝒜𝑅𝒞 𝐼𝒩 𝐸𝒳𝒞𝐻𝒜𝒩𝒢𝐸 𝐹𝒪𝑅 𝐻𝒪𝒩𝐸𝒮𝒯 𝑅𝐸𝒱𝐼𝐸𝒲

M.V Ellis has done it again created another must read but this time its a duet.
Anthony "king" Kingston and Roman" Rome" Ivanenks make up Bowed and Dangerous ( damm i love that name). Even though they do have a bond that cannot be touched they are total opposites but together they are amazing off and on the stage. Once Quincy Copeland aka Que Violin comes into the picture things in their duo slowly start to change.

Never has anyone come between Rome and King until Quincy walks into the room when their label calls them in for a meeting and forces them to do a one year collabration including tours. Things kick off from there. It isnt a smooth ride and feelings develop and a love triangle gets formed as the men cant help but fall for Quincy. But will it all be ok if she can't choose ? will she be able to choose? will hearts be broken in the process? Will they all be able to make beautiful music together or will it be too much and one of them leave? well your going to have to find out and read it. You will not regret it.

Once again M.V.Ellis draws you into to a world where beautiful music is made on and off the stage. This book is hot as hell and thoughout the whole book one of the things i kept imagining was the music they were making how it would actually sound, as im sure it sounded majestic.

This is part one of the duet cannot wait for Bowed

Making music together

Well who knew that classical musicians could get so down and dirty??? In Plucked, the first book in a duet, by MV Ellis takes the readers on a journey that at times is explosive and intense and at others is sweet and romantic. This is the classical music world where King and Rome who both play the cello and are best friends who share a bond that cannot be broken. Then there is Quincy who is an award winning violin player but wants to do something different. When two record companies merge it brings King, Rome and Quincy into each others orbit and a great MFM night of hot and steamy sex. But they have to work together so they decide that they will not do a repeat. But as we all know you can't ignore the drumming of sexual attraction when you are in close quarters together. King and Rome are used to sharing everything, including women, but things are not quite working that way with Quincy.

I have read a number of books by this author and enjoyed them. Plucked however was good but it was not what I expected. The story-line jumped around and missed some of the characters developing relationships which I would have appreciated reading. It is well written and the characters are strong and interesting. The ending to Plucked promises what I hope will be an intriguing story to this love triangle.

This book not only had three crazy talented people who were amazing with their instruments AND played classical music. when reading how these individuals were, I never in my right mind would think that they would be musicians in that genre, but I guess crazier things have happened that have surprised me before.

King, Roman and Quincy were definitely one crazy trio that had me gripping my kindle to keep reading their crazy story. I loved how they all were with each other, but I especially was more tuned to King because he was so different from Roman. Even though Roman had that bad boy vibe, I loved how King was. Even though King came from money, he was very refined but didn't flaunt the fact that he came from money, at least not in my eyes.

Quincy was so talented and I loved how she had that feistiness and fire in her. She was hardcore and I loved how she interacted with the guys. They all may not have agreed at the beginning to what they had to do together in a professional level but they were damn good at what they did and as a trio they were even better.

I just have to say this book was very unique and I absolutely loved it!

Intense and sexually charged combination gives us Quincy, King and Rome. King and Rome are a successful classical music duo that have the cocky personalities to go with their success. King tries to be the voice of reason with Rome that has no filter. Quincy is a solo violinist that desperately wants to record her own music but her label continues to have her record covers. When two music labels merge, these 3 suddenly find themselves forced into a trio. The real fun is the overpowering chemistry between all 3. King and Rome have a brother like bond and share a lot of things, even women. But Quincy just might be the one woman to shake this bond. Rome is exasperating with his over-the-top bad boy persona but Quincy is tough and pushes back at every turn. King is captivated with Quincy from the first moment he saw her, drawn to that strength and confidence she carries well. Where this trio ends up, I’m very curious to find out in part 2. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Rome and King are a matched set – a duo – a team – brothers from different mothers. Both alpha-males, they are as dissimilar in their appearance and temperaments as they are alike in their love of music, women and the perks their rock and roll lifestyle provides. When Quincy is suddenly thrust into their midst they become an unwilling trio. For Rome, it’s a classic case of ‘I had her first’, while King ‘wants her more’ but ultimately it’s Quincy who must decide between the two – but unless she can have them both, is one man better without the other?

This is a well written story filled with plenty of tension, friction and some strong emotions – frustration, lust and anger, to name a few. The characters are compelling and complex and their chemistry is sizzling hot! I loved the dynamic between the men and the strength of their bond despite their many disagreements. Quincy was a spitfire, full of sarcastic and witty comments as she stood her ground against the two. I’m looking forward to the conclusion of this very entertaining tale.

Holy cow!! If I'd known the musician geeks at school were this HOT I'd have paid a lot more attention in music class!! Good one MV Ellis now I want to learn to play the cello!!

What do you get when two record labels merge and their key classical acts have to join forces or head to contract court? A stage that's alight with the hottest chemistry between three people I think I've ever read!

Violin Soloist Quincy Copeland is in a funk with her career, but when she's forced to join forces with Bowed and Dangerous's cello duo, Roman "Rome" Ivanenko and Anthony "King" Kingston, it's the last straw in a succession of bad luck and she's as against the move as they are.

Cue the fireworks, the sexual tension and the tug of war between these three that steams up the studio, the stage and the pages!
These two men are as close as brothers, if not more so, but even the closest siblings don't like to share, so the resultant fight for the sexy violinist is pulling at their bond and could destroy their friendship and success.

As Ellis builds this great story, you're just willing these three to collide in spectacular and lust filled fashion and the suspense of it has you burning through the pages, making it so hard to put this book down.

I can't wait to see what book #2 brings. This is a sexy solid 4.5 star read.

I love MV Ellis' books. I mean the way she writes the characters with the angst, heat and emotions you cannot pass them up. Now this one, I felt was a bit different. It almost has the menage feel to it but doesn't get there. I felt a bit torn with the guys. Quincy does have her work cut out for her in this book. You have Rome and King who are amazing classical musicians. Quincy is also a classical musician. So when their labels merge and they have to merge it will either be amazing or be an epic fail. However, King finds out the Rome knows Quincy and seems to not be sure about anything. Quincy is drawn to both men and they have no problem sharing but she seems to bring out something possessive of the guys. Only one does not know how to handle it. So how will this all end. I cannot wait for the next book to come out because that ending was pretty epic.

Plucked by MV Ellis is the First book in the Classical Bad boys Series. This starts the story of Roman “Rome” Ivanenko Anthony “King” Kingston and Quincy Copeland. Rome and King are best friends like sibling close to each other. But they are different in how they grew up but that hasn't stop them from claiming each as family. Nothing has broken their bond not even the women they have in their lives. They just share if they both line one women. No fights and no one to come between them. Then their record label merges with another and they have to take on a third person into their musical group...Quincy. Quincy fawning like other women over Rome and King but she is attracted to both of them. Quincy being apart of their new collaboration is doing more than changing their music it is causing Rome and King to want her for their individual self. This does end with a cliffhanger setting us up for the next book in their story.

This is the story of Roman “Rome” Ivanenko, Anthony “King” Kingston and, Quincy Copeland. Rome and King are best friends but more like brothers. Nothing has broken their bond not even women. They’ve shared women they were both interested in. All are forced into a collaboration when their music labels merged. As Quincy and King become a couple, Rome goes off the rails into a meltdown where all are forced into a untenable situation. It starts out as a steamy three way to get to know each other but progresses into a love triangle. It’s intense as Quin is more like King in personality and both wanting a relationship, whereas Rome is her polar opposite but attracted to each other and connect emotionally with their music. This is the first time Jealously runs through the guys. I wonder who Quin will pick if at all?

HOLY WOW HELL! There is so much goodness in Plucked that I didn't even want to write a review because I truly believe that going in blind will up the ante, so I'll keep this short & sweet. Our players our Rome, King, and Quincy, and these people had off the charts chemistry in spades. Rome is the bad boy with demons, King is the good guy who does his utmost to keep Rome from shooting himself in the foot, making up the group Bowed and Dangerous. Add in Quincy to the mix, and things got so interesting from there when they all work together, With witty banter, yes the extreme chemistry, and a push & pull which frustrates me in that hurts so good way, all the way to the cliffy since this is Book 1 in the Duet, well, you can't go wrong with this story. So, hit those one click buttons to experience it for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a different take on the rock star romance trope. These are classical trained musicians playing an updated “rock” program. King,Rome and Quincy are thrown together when their labels merge and the tension between them is palpable. The three hook up once as a MFM ménage but then move on in the name of professionalism. There is a lost opportunity in the middle of the book to develop the characters more as they learn to work together and write songs -this period is skipped over and we get “three months later” instead of developing the relationships between them. The culmination of book one is intense and your heart breaks for all three of them. I can’t wait to read book 2 and see where these theee end up.

Well pluck me cause pluck was hot. I loved that it was strings instruments that the main characters were proficient at, that is different from everything else I have read lately. I did think that the beginning was a little drawn out with explaining who the characters were. I like the characters though it just was a lot of introducing them. The middle was kind of rushed I felt that part could have been more developed cause it was not enough. I really liked where this book took me and I want more. I cannot wait for the next one cause the chemistry between the characters is off the charts and the tension was amazing.

This story was so different to anything I have read recently, we have a couple of bad boy musicians and a brilliant violinist who are thrown together when record labels merge. I loved how different they all were, yet the chemistry between them was off the charts! I just want more of these three...I want to see them all get their HEA, so can't wait for book two, I'm secretly hoping that Rome stops his pity party and fights for what he wants! Highly recommend, MV Ellis is fast becoming one of my favorite authors.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review of Plucked. I must say Plucked by MV Ellis had my attention from the very beginning! Oh and what a beginning! Quincy has to work with Rome and King. All three are talented musicians but are not looking forward to working together. Quincy and Rome have had a steamy encounter and now there’s chemistry with King. There are so many hot moments, like in the hot tub...oh my! The tension works for them, but there’s so much more to this threesome ;) I’m looking forward to the next book because this story is not done yet! Want a hot and steamy read, then look no further! Happy Reading!

I just couldn’t put the book down! Read it in 2 days.

The story flowed. Had me seeking out more information on their lives. A never ending tale of King, Rome, Quincy and the musical industry. Two completely different artists are thrown together and forced to make an album or else. The chemistry between the characters are almost painful to read (in a good way). Bad boys with nothing to lose and a good girl with everything to lose. Cliffhanger ending leaves me wondering how long am I going to wait until book 2.

This was an amazing book! I am already counting down days until the 2nd book comes out I need more NOW!!! I really liked the twist the author put on this book. There are a lot of musician romances out there but this is the first one I have read that is about classical music not the typical rock bands with girls and even better the FMC is a classical musician also not a fan or groupie. The chemistry is so good it comes off the page and hits you in the chest. So many emotions are brought out while reading this book, I LOVED IT!
