I’m not sure why I didn’t know that this book was going to be more of Jo’s and Gale’s story or maybe I wasn’t supposed to know that, but it really caught me off guard. Their story was my favorite but I really didn’t think I needed more of their journey and because of that I felt as if this started out a little slow for me BUT I quickly changed my mind.
Until I really got into it, I wasn't aware that the last book left me at loose ends. This book gives you more of navigating their new relationship and the hesitation that Josephine has in subjecting Gale to her past mistakes.
Gale just does not accept “NO” for an answer. He is bound and determined to make Jo see that they are meant for each other & together they can overcome anything.
“I will have you for my own, babe. Surrender now. You’re my equal in every way, but in my certainty about us, I rule. Might as well capitulate.”
Jo is VERY stubborn and feels she is doing the right thing by making sure this is only a temporary relationship.
“A WOMAN SHOULD BE FREE TO EXPRESS HER SEXUALITY WITHOUT FEAR OF JUDGMENT” This statement is exactly why I love the Women’s Empowerment throughout this entire series and the friendship these women have is so inspiring. They accept one another and unconditionally love one another.
I’m feeling a bit nostalgic writing this review! I have read all 6 books! I Met many bands, rocked out, had my heart torn out, and put together again in the pages of this beautiful series! I have watched these beautiful couples grow not only together but also individually! And it all started with a one woman who decided to take her life into her own hands! She was tired of the double standard and tired of feeling like she had no control!
Rock f*ck club means so much more to me than just some words on the pages! It’s about woman empowerment and not being afraid to be who you are. It’s about the healing we go through as we learn to love ourselves because each couple that’s exactly the battle that was fought! Each woman as they discovered who they are and what comes next for them in life had to learn to love who they were!
It was so beautiful seeing majority of the group together but it was breathtaking seeing the love and devotion between Gale and Jo! I fell head over heals for Gale in book 5, but that Gale pales in comparison to the man who is steadfast in his love for Jo! Seeing Jo continue to battle for the love she deserves showed just how resilient and strong she is!
I will miss all the people I came to know and love in this series but I’m so grateful for Mankin’s words and bringing is this amazing series!

Have you had a chance to read all of the RFC books? There is a newly released, totally bingeworthy boxed set with all of these together, ready to read right now and get the whole series all in one place. Each book builds on the previous, featuring friends and band members from Black Cat Records, among others, fighting for their unexpected happiness along the way.
The excitement continues in this new addition to the RFC series with this 6th installment. Hold on tight on this bumpy ride as the story catches up where it left off with newly enamoured couple, Jo and Gale. Both have been dealt some huge blows with losses and struggles in their past which keeps them on the same page.. most of the time, along with the music that is part of their souls.
While one of them is ready to live, love and move on, the other lets doubt worm it's way in, questioning how worthy they are to try to reach so high after falling so low. Can this persistent little head twisting voice ever be silenced? Will the deep, comforting voice of love and reason be loud enough to drown out the self doubting ones? Gale- the sweet, sexy lead singer with a naughty mind has his work cut out for him with his beautiful Jo, the woman who's heart he's trying to capture and keep.
There is some angsty drama lingering from the previous book that needed time to heal and might tear a hole in your rockstar loving heart but the ending had its sweet and touching moments to savor as well. As the story winds down to a close for now, the door was left open, with a few tasty breadcrumbs leading to this question- could there be another chapter in the RFC series down the road and who would be the next star in the hot seat if there was??? There is someone I can think of so I'll just say this- bring on the next book!
I recieved an early version of this book and this is my honest review of it.
Unfortunately, this one just didn’t have the hook and the feeling of the rest of the series for me. I know part of it has to do with the fact that honestly it wasn’t really about the reality tv show the series began based on. Jo was basically done with the show, and just trying to figure out how to get out of the contract without having sex with anymore guys because she’d found her right one. All the parts about being able to decide when you’re finished if you don’t want to do the full number of guys, well I get that. It’s part of the empowerment for women. That part was great. The steamy scenes were as steamy as you’d want. But, in the beginning I began to feel as if it was making sure you had one scene in every chapter. And it almost got to be too much, I actually began skimming through those scenes to get to actual story, and that is not normal for me.
The plot was a depressing angle for the whole story, so that was kind of hard to read. And Jo kept doing what annoys me with not giving the other person a chance to decide what is right based on all the facts and history.
I’ll try to remember the series based on the first books that I loved, and just be okay with the end this way.
The very conclusion to the whole series and the continuation of Jo and Gale's story. Their relationship continues to breach and cross obstacles, dealing with the past and accepting the future...
This series was altogether an homage to the empowerment of the women, their sexuality, sensuality and everything that makes a woman her true creature of beauty, passion and love...
this is exactly what this series are about - love, friendship and all the humanly possible sinning virtues *wink wink*
I knew that despite everything that went down with them, they still had a ways to go with finding even ground and let me tell you, it was a bumpy ride. The whole push/pull “I’m going to do this because I love him…” thing Jo had going on drove me batshitcrazy ~ not gonna lie.I understood the why behind it, but I was really happy when those blinders finally came off. But I loved Gale’s response to it every single time. He proved over and over again that he was all in and I loved all he did to show Jo how much she meant to him.
And while this is the last book in the series, not everything was resolved, so I’m quite interested to see who may or may not be getting their own spinoff or standalone in the future.

Jo is the tough rock girl who now leads her own band, is the next star of the RFC and has come out with finding a true love with Gale who is a talented rocker in his own right. She healed Gale and brought him back to life after losing his wife and son in an accident. Now it is Gale’s turn to heal the broken Jo.
Their story has taken on an almost fairytale feel with the hot rocker who will hang onto to a woman he has fallen for with everything that is within him even though she thinks she unworthy of him. She has been through so much and has no self-worth so it’s up to him to show her she is worthy of everything that has come her way.
As with all the installments of the RCF this is another great addition to the series. I cannot wait to read more of Ms. Mankin’s rock star books.
It’s another hit for me! I’ve been waiting to see how Jo and Gale’s story would play out. I didn’t see a road trip coming, but man whata way to fall in love! This story however was different than the others in the series. Or maybe I should look at it as more of the continuing story of Jo and Gale. Because that’s what it was, a love story that wouldn’t and couldn’t have fit into just one book. Jo is in allot of ways each of us. A past she tries to hide. Pain she can’t run from. And Gale... a true romantic hero. He doesn’t let her run. From him. From a past she can’t escape, or herself.
The RFC takes the reader on a ride of lust, greed, friendship and of course, rock and roll. In the final installment, RFC season 3 star Josephine Poet embarks on an epic road trip with her love Gale Lafleur. Of course the savvy reader knows that that it is never as simple as the stars riding off (literally) into the sunset together. Challenges from Jo's past arise to make her question her decisions and the angst the series is known for continues to build. Several things have been different about this series that make is refreshing and interesting. First is the fact that the male love interests prove to be unwavering in their commitment to the women they fall hard for, and Gale is no exception. The man is a beautiful, sexy, talented, brilliant, nerdy rock for his woman. EVERY woman should have a Gale in their lives! One other theme that is reinforced and taken to a new level in this final installment is the bond of friendship between the women of the books. So much love, acceptance, loyalty and care is expressed that it gives the reader hope that none of us are truly alone. Are all the loose ends tied up by the end? Yes and no. In true Michelle Mankin style, the extended bonus scenes a beautiful bit of closure to Jo and Gale's story, but also includes some maddening teasers about possible new directions and relationships. I cannot wait to see what transpires next!
What a wonderful way to wrap-up this unique series. RFC is all about empowering women with the ability to embrace their sexuality without fear of judgement. Each woman in the series went about their journey in different ways but all managed to find real love despite trials and tribulations along the way. This final story once again follows Josephine and Gale (my favorite couple in the series!) as they navigate past and present obstacles on their way to a future together. These two are meant to be together but Jo worries about her past hurting Gale. And then there are the current issues causing problems, namely her commitment to RFC. Gale, however, is determined and laser-focused on proving to her their relationship is rock solid and a forever-deal. I adored how they each went about wanting to protect each other and love one another even when it put them and their agendas at odds. There is angst. There is love and loyalty and friendship. And there is smoking chemistry. And there is love. And love conquers all. *sigh*
I have been a fan of Rock F ck Club since it started, and I loved getting a second glimpse at Jo and Gale. Jo especially grew so much in this story, she had so many things from her past to come to terms with. Gale did too, however, he was more mature than Jo in some ways, and I think that's partly because he had known love his whole life, from his parents, from his friends, and from other important people in his life. The friendship between Jo and her band was still strong, even as the action was mostly focused on Jo and Gale on a road trip. Through phone calls and important updates, Jo, Dolly, Lin and Lark kept in close contact to cheer each other on and just be there for each other. This is the girlpower aspect of this series that I have come to know and love so much! Of course, the love story between Gale and Jo is the focal point, but all the other story arcs were so well done, too. Towards the end, Gale and Jo met up with not only their own band mates, but other bands with Black Cat Records as well, and it felt like a reunion, even with the heavy backdrop that was a part of it. Definitely recommend this one to everyone who loves a strong romance with female friendships that are true, and lots of hotness to boot.
This one was one was a good read. I'm was sad to see that this is the last one in the Girls Ranking the Rock Stars Series but I was glad to see the we got more Jo’s and Gale’s story. Jo is an amazing character. She has overcome a not so nice past. She's still struggling with the past. In book 5 just wanted to give her a hug and this one I was rooting for her to have happiness. I loved Gale too. He knows Jo is the one from him and he won't back down. He's patience and sweet. This one is on definitely one you should read. 4 1/2 Stars
I have enjoyed this series since book one, I loved how the women owned there own sexuality and made no apologies for it. They flipped the script and I loved it!! Jo and Gale’s story may be my favorite of the series, it was deep, emotional and took you on a journey acceptance and I’m going to miss the series
Going back into this rockstar would makes me feel giddy. Yes I used the work giddy. I can’t help it. Don’t judge me. Lol.
Jo and Gale continue their love story in this read. They are figuring out how to be together especially after a recent loss. Jo is still learning to forgive herself and Gale is learning to really live again. The story includes a fantastic road trip, amazing conversations with friends, and some spiciness that keeps my addiction high.
This is such as awesome read that I hated when it ended. If fact I wanted the story to continue. Ugh I am vindictive and wanted to experience Jo’s biological father getting his. Lol. Yes that wasn’t the point of the story and I am glad Jo got to meet her sister. Love it. You will get ALL the juicy details and so much more as you read on. Wink.
Eek I so hope we get more reads in this series. SOOO GOOD!
I have really enjoyed this series and the way Michelle Mankin let the women be in charge of their destinies and their hearts. With RFC #6 as the (hopefully not) last book in the series, we get more of Josephine Poet and her life with the extremely sexy and soulful Gale LaFleur. With theirs not being the easiest of love stories, the sheer will and determination on Gale's part to make sure that his rock n roll princess knew that she was loved and cherished forever was admirable. I adored his devotion to Jo and not taking any of her protests too seriously that she would never be good enough. For as much as this is Jo's story and her finally coming to the realization that her past indiscretions didn't matter to any of her closest friends and allies, getting Gale's POV clearly allowed him to shine just as brightly.
With a motorcycle journey as the literal and figurative vehicle for Jo to finally put her demons to rest, the deep emotion felt as she and Gale figure out a hopeful future was truly heartbreaking at times. I could understand Jo's hesitance to continue to love this incredible man, not wanting him to drown in her mistakes. But that Gale. Oh wow. What a mighty good man he is. Never succumbing to Jo's doubts, just simply wanting to be by her side no matter what may happen and loving every inch of her body, mind and soul. He is a dream and may just be my favorite of the series.
The underlying sadness that is from an horrific event that occurred in book 5 (and a must read before this one imo) lays the groundwork for Jo and her band going forward, with present and past relationships hanging in the balance. But Mankin knows how to keep her rockers close in spirit when they can't be there in person and it's that true sense of family that will undoubtedly see all of them through.
Although this feels like the end, there is still so much more ahead for Joey's Band and its wonderful members. There are a few loose ends and especially with the bonus epilogue that you can download at the end of the book, I have a good feeling that this is not the last we'll here from Jo, her amazing bestie in Dolly and the twins, Lark and Lin. I have a deep fondness for these bada$$ women and the tight bond they have so I'll be patiently waiting for more.
Michelle Mankin was clearly made to write about this incredibly unique concept in the world of rock n roll where the women make the rules and the men can't help but gladly follow along. Giving everyone involved the respect and dignity they deserve. With that said, it's my pleasure to give Rock F*ck Club #6 5 huge rockin' stars!
ROCK F*CK CLUB (Girls Ranking the Rock Stars Book 6) By: Michelle Mankin
📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚
It gets better and better!
Well here we go!!! This 6 book series just kept getting better. I thought I new what to expect. But. Nope. This final book is so full of emotion. You’ll get passion, love, angst and ultimately we get another true love story. You’ll see to people who in the end realize to no judge is kind and acceptance might be everything. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
Authors Blurb: Josephine Poet has completed filming for her season of the Rock ..ck Club. The rocker she has chosen has invited her to take a long ride with him...on his motorcycle. She wants nothing more than to spend every moment she can with the handsome lead singer of Anthem. But is the Rock ..ck Club really through for her? Are her troubles truly behind her...or are they lurking just around the next bend in the road?
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
I am a huge fan of Michelle Mankin's and I really love reading about her rock gods (War and Lucky, I'm talking about you), so I've enjoyed reading this new take on the genre with her RFC series. But, as much as I love Gale, I have to admit that I am still very partial to the first two books in this series, so the last two (Josephine's story) didn't quite measure up for me. I think most of it has to do with the fact that I never warmed up to Josephine in either book - she was just a little too abrasive for me - and I kept feeling like Gale could do so much better than her. In the first book, she came off as kind of immature and her reasoning for doing what she did suffered because of it. But I loved the character of Gale and so I gave this last book a chance if only to read more about him. I'm happy to say that Josephine mellowed out a bit in this book, though she did still pull some stuff (or tried to) in this book, too. So in the end, I liked her much more than I did in her first book. But for me, the best part of this book was Gale he was just an amazing character that I wanted to know more about and I really wish there was more written from his point of view. The background story about the other bands and how they came together to help each other through a tragedy really pulled at my heart and gave this story some added depth. So overall, it was a good story and I'm glad I read it. And I really hope to read more about other secondary characters in the future - this is just such a richly-textured world the author's created and I don't want it to really end.

An Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was received free from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
This is the conclusion to this Rockin' series, with the final part of Gale and Jo's story. It is perhaps the most romantic of the stories. Jo's struggles to come to terms with the hand she was dealt in life continue because she feels she is not worth loving. Gale's special brand of caring for her holds tight and won't let her go. It is by turns sweet and sexy, painful and uplifting.
Against the backdrop of Arrow's death (no a spoiler, it happened in a previous book) and the extended "family" struggles as a result, Gale shows Jo just how worthy of his love she is. He holds tight. And let's be honest, I can't help but love Anthem because they are based on my favorite band.
It is also the end of the Club as the empowerment of it has run its course. I've loved the series, but it definitely has run its course. And here we are, dealing with more tragedy in the Black Cat Records family. But already, there are signs of the stories to come and I can't wait to read them!
“Even the darkness has light because of you.” As the final book of the Rock F*ck Club series, Ms. Mankin has truly outdone herself with Jo and Gale’s journey. There is so much raw emotion that comes from these characters as they navigate their way through a challenging world. Each one has had his/her share of tragedy and the choices they make forge the people that they want to be. This book builds on the previous books in the series and I recommend reading them in order. Jo is having a hard time with believing that she is worthy of Gale and tries to dissuade him at what seems like every turn. However, he is a man of strong convictions and knew from the first time he set eyes upon Jo that she was it for him. The bond that they forge through the music is one that allows for dealing with the highs and lows of any situation. Helping the romance blossom is Jo’s friends that keep her on the path to her happiness. It is not a smooth ride and when all is said and done, will Jo and Gale be able to weather the oncoming storms? You must read this book to find out! I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
Here we're back with Jo Poet the newly appointed Lead Singer of Joey's Band & Gale the lead singer of Tempest & who we saw getting together in book 5 where Jo signed up to be the next Girl for the RFC series. And we're starting off on the final night of the tour after the tragic bus crash & where they both of chosen to & go off together to spend some intermit time together & become closer though really in Jo's thoughts it's making the last time of being together. And it's during that time my tears came pouring out after the time came all of a sudden after a call from her estranged mother.... Find out if she succeed to push Gale away or will his strength makes her see who & what she is. Another Fantastic joining together & openness, wish I could say I couldn't put it down but I had to with one thing or another but I know for sure I wouldn't have as I hated it when I had to. Absolutely loved this one as much as the previos episodes 💞💗
This is the continuation of Jo & Gale's Story - with the heartbreaking loss in the last book, everyone is trying to get back to things. Gale wants to take Jo on a motorcycle ride just to get away and spend time with each other. Of course, right before this there is a wrench thrown in and Jo has some real thinking to do. Jo's struggles with her past are hard enough but when things start to come to the present real fast she doesn't want anyone else getting hurt because of her - Gale is determined to make sure she knows he is front and center with her right there by her side no matter what - the push and pull with them during these times was so truly well done. You can feel the angst coming off both of the them - the hurt they both felt in the past, as well as the pure love that have for each other. Beautifully written -
With this being the end of the series - I have mixed feelings - happy they way it out came together - sad that there are still a few things left undone - and hopeful of what may still come - fingers crossed!!
As always Michelle has no problems writing an AMAZING story. I must say I'm so glad that Gale and Jo's story ended happily, they both deserve it after all they have been through. I do however wish we would have seen Jo's mother get what was coming to her for being a horrible mother to Jo.
Gale has been one of my favorite throughout this series, and as sad as I am to see the RFC end...I'm also glad, every season Suzanne was getting worse with the girls and it became less about their freedom and more about the bottom line for the series to make the most amount of money by exploiting the girls and forcing them to do more scenes than they were comfortable doing.
There was a question in the end on what we want to see next...ROCKY AND SKY!!!! I NEED THERE STORY!!! I have said this countless times since seeing them in previous books, Michelle I need a book for Rocky and Sky....the others you mentioned would also be great to read but Rocky and Sky need to come first! I'm not above begging either lol.
Advanced copy received from the author for an honest review
You could not ask for a better wrap up to RFC series. The main story is how Jo can find acceptance within herself to claim the love of her band mates, her fans, her best friend Dolly and her soulmate Gale. The friendship, love and hot hot hot between Gale and Jo will will touch your heart. As usual Michelle Mankin has given us a continued story arc from the rest of the series which allows us to keep in touch with all the characters. I love that Mary Timmons from Black Cat Records once again is there to give advice and see her artists don’t stray too far. She also is a tie to all Mankin’s books. You will truly feel part of the Rock and roll family as the bands gather together to support each other and honour Arrow in a way that only true Rockers can. I love the message of women supporting each other in their right to choose their lifestyle. A must read!!!!
Gale is the man that every single woman needs in her life. No matter what Jo put him through, no matter what bull she fed, him, he stood by her. He waited through everything for her to get all of her secrets out, and then he stood by her even then. He helped her with her recording contracts and everything else. Jo is why I can’t give the book 5 stars though. Book 5 and Book 6 spent their entire books just about on Jo whining, lying, and being selfish when it came to Gale. Yes, she’d been through hell, but come on, after a while, she should have just told Gale the truth...all of it. It shouldn’t have been constant push me, pull you. Honesty, once she got to know him would have been so much easier.
Oh my gosh! Michelle Mankin has written another astounding book in the RFC series! However it is bittersweet because it is the last installment . Maybe there will be a spinoff? Have a fan and a tissue ready. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the continuation of Jo and Gale's relationship development. There was more rocky road to cross, lots of surprises on the road trip, steamy scenes, sad scenes and lots of patience and love. Thank you Michelle for your special gift of words blending into awesome books for us to read. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.
Another great addition to this fantastic series, Jo and Gale's story was amazing. Jo has her deep demons to confront, Gale is just there by her side no matter what was happening. Their road was rocky but somehow they made it. This book is so full of emotions, I love Gale so much, I think everyone should have one in their lives, his unconditional support melted me. This book captured me from chapter one and didn't let me go until the last page. Their story was so worth it a brilliant plotline that stole my heart. Astonishing 5 stars!
Eek! The conclusion to one of my favorite book couples EVER! Jo and Gale have been through a lot and just when it looks like everything is coming together for them...well...you'll have to read the book to find out. Read the beginning of their story in book 5 or go back to the beginning and read book 1. Jo and Gale (who I must say, I get a Geddy Lee vibe from) had me crying, cheering, and basically all over the place this weekend. MM once again hits it out of the park. Stick around at the end of the book for a bonus scene!
RFC 6 was a read that will take you a bit out of your comfort zone. You are in for a long ride! I loved Jo and Gale. They do not have an easy road and Gale stole the show when he proved he was in it for the long haul. We still get the epic drama when it comes to taping a realty show. So much happens and emotions crosses a lot of lines. I love how Jo became stronger for herself. The RFC series kept me on my toes and has become an addicting series you don't want to miss out!!
