What happens when you drink too much in Vegas? You couldn't possibly get married and not remember it, could you?
They say what happens in Vegas, stays there, and that’s exactly what Peyton is counting on. After waking up in a hotel room that isn’t hers, next to a naked man she doesn’t know, with a ring on her finger and no recollection of the previous twenty-four hours, she hops the first flight back home with two new mantras. Whatever happened, happened. And no looking back, only forward. Only a few months later, her past shows back up on her doorstep in the form of one very determined husband.
A few months ago, Maxwell woke up alone in a hotel in Vegas with a hangover and a lingering feeling that something important had happened to him the night before. Unsure if his vague memories were real or just a dream; he hired a private investigator. Now that he’s tracked down his accidental wife, he’s determined to get a divorce. Or is he? Face to face, the words don’t come and instead he finds himself asking his wife if she’d like to go on a date. Is it possible their one night in Vegas was meant to be more? Can they make a relationship work? Or is divorce really the only option when what happens in Vegas follows you home?

What Happens in Vegas was a great book! It was fun and kept me filling the pages. I could not put it down. I loved Peyton and Maxwell, and also loved how Maxwell would not give up and kept working and showing Peyton that it would all work out in time.
If you're looking for a Las Vegas drunken hookup/wedding romance with hilarious side characters then this is for you.
Peyton and Maxwell was a set of characters who didn't remember anything of their drunken Las Vegas night but found out they were married to one another the following morning.
Peyton woke up to being in another man's hotel room in his bed and realized she was wearing a wedding ring but didn't know his name.
Maxwell woke up to no one in his bed but knew he probably hooked up with some woman he didn't know but decided to hire PI to find out about the person he was having dreams about the woman he hooked up with. From there on out, the story got interesting that's all I will say.
The writing Anders did on this story was like nothing I've ever read before but now has me thinking about what other books are out there with the same trope but written in a different way than other authors out there who probably have written some in their own careers at some point in time. Thanks for writing an enjoyable book based on your readers own Vegas stories included at the beginning of the chapters even though they probably didn't go with the main characters you were writing about but probably were and I didn't quite catch on to them but still enjoyed knowing you wrote this book from the heart. I highly recommend other readers to read this book as soon as it's released into the world bc it was just that good and maybe others can relate to it more than I did when I read it here as an ARC.
Peyton wakes up next to a stranger in Vegas, it appears that they got married, especially as she’s sporting a huge ring on her left finger! She doesn’t know his name, can’t remember getting married but she knows she needs to leave! Max wakes up with no memory of getting married but can recall being with someone. This is a very good read, both Peyton and Max need to rediscover each other, which isn’t easy due to the fact they live in different cities, they have to overcome obstacles if they want give their marriage a chance. Loved this story, easy to read with the right amount of passion. Loved the quotes at the beginning of each chapter.

A great story of what happened in Vegas. But does it really stay in Vegas? A one night hook up leads to marriage. One that neither one remembers. As they go about their lives, bits and pieces come floating back. More so for Max so he hires a PI. Max finds Peyton and is determined to get divorced. But one look at her he has second thoughts. Max spends his time wooing his wife. She tries to not be wooed. She just wants to be divorced and move on from her mistake. As time goes on for both, they realize maybe it wasn't so bad to start backwards. I loved these characters. They were totally meant to be together. They were so lovable. Their story was great on how to make it work after a drunken night of debauchery!
After having a good time with their friends , Peyton and Max don't remember anything. Both confused trying to piece together 24 hours of their life they don't know. Come to find out that they were actually married but don't actually know each other's name. Once the license from Vegas is mailed to each of them. Once them meet and realize everything try take things one day at a time even though they live in two different states. Things take turn and Max realizes he really wants the marriage to work so he makes a drastic more to be with Peyton.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. When I first started this book I was thinking for sure these strangers are just gonna cut tied. Because that would make the most sense. As they started to get to know each other my opinion changed drastically. I think that max is truly amazing.I think that Peyton has a good heart but shes just scared of taking risks. You can clearly see these two are opposites.
What Happens in Vegas was a great story. Tarrah Anders did a great job on it. The plot and characters were strong. Peyton and Max were made for each other, they have a few issues along their journey but they were perfect for one another, their connection and chemistry was strong. They were good together. I enjoyed this story. Thanks, Tarrah Anders. Great work :)
Dnf@52% The h wakes up with a ring and a naked guy in bed, after a night of drunk blackout... She simply ignores and prays that it will go away. It's immature.
Totally love Max and Peyton! An accidental marriage in Vegas that neither remember lol. When they re-meet the sparks are still there and Max decides that he wants to date his wife. Lol. I loved their story so much and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what's next in the series.
A great new story from Tarrah! Max and Peyton have a night in Vegas that neither of them remember - including getting married! Peyton wants to keep what happened in Vegas there, but max has other ideas. What follows is a story of taking an accidental marriage and turning it into a real one. A fun and flirty story with a great happily ever after! Can’t wait for more from this group of characters!!
The book is a good sweet romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable accidental marriage romance read that is both steamy and sweet romance read.

I've just finished reading What Happens In Vegas. What a great book. Max is so dreamy and the relationship between him and his long term friends is so funny. While it's not highlighted, you can tell that poor Peyton has commitment issues. She's wary of making a long term commitment to Max, but it all works out in the end. This book is like a snuggly blanket. You get wrapped up in the warmth of the story and let it take you on the journey off this most adorable couple.
What a fun read! Peyton and Max are so entertaining together and apart. The banter between Max and his college buddies is one of the highlights of this story. If you are looking for an easy breezy, accidental marriage story, this is for you!
Max is hands down my fave Hero of this author EVER!! And I've read all her books... A night that neither of them remember many details of leads to so much more... Max is determined to make Peyton his forever at all costs... Even when she fights her feelings there is no denying their chemistry... They slowly build a friendship and that leads to forever ... Overcoming everything that stands in their way...
Vegas broke its own rules by allowing Max and Peyton to take a marriage home with them. Sure, it was a marriage they didn’t quite remember having, but it still happened! Now the two try to patch their activities together in their minds, but they never expected that their “oops” moment would give them both chance of a lifetime. For Max, Peyton is the breath of fresh air he didn’t even know he was missing. For Peyton, Max is everything she’s always been sure is beyond her grasp. As these two get to know each other for real, a life together seems like it could truly work, if not for reality and distance getting in the way. They manage to work it all out, even if their wires get crossed a time or two, and get the HEA that they so richly deserve. Their story is proof that not all accidents in Vegas are bad things. Sometimes, they’re the best kick in the tush that people need to find true happiness.
Peyton and Max get married in Vegas. It would be truly wonderful if either of them remembered doing it. She knows it happened - she's got a ring to show for it. And eventually, the marriage certificate shows up in the mail. Max has a niggling feeling that something big happened in Vegas, but no real memories, so he hires a PI. She's in LA - he's in Seattle. She wants to get a divorce and move on - he wants to explore the possibility of them being together. I've read so many books from this author, and her work just keep getting better and better. I like Peyton. She's happy with her life and career in LA. She's afraid of change, but Max opens her eyes to hope for the future, of what might be. I love Max. He's happy with his life and career in Seattle. Once he's "married", he realizes that he's all business all the time, and something is missing. They have to decide what they're willing to do to be together. I didn't like that her friends make her feel guilty for wanting to go to Seattle, destroying a career opportunity and her chance for lasting love. I can't wait to see what comes in the next book.

Erica was in Las Vegas partying with friends and Maxwell, a lawyer, was there for a bachelor party. They both got drunk and the next day Erica woke up in a stranger’s bed with a ring on her finger and took off before he woke up. Erica returned home to Los Angeles and tried to forget about that evening until a month later when she received a copy of the marriage certificate in the mail. Maxwell had vague recollections of the event and hired an investigator who got him Erica’s information. He goes to see her and when they meet again there is an attraction. However, she lives and works in Los Angeles and his business is in Seattle. Will they be able to work out their differences or is divorce their only solution?
I enjoyed this book but there didn’t seem to be a lot of compromising to make things work. However I liked the story as a whole and would recommend this book.

I've read a few "oops I got married in Vegas" books before and always enjoyed them, but this one fell flat. The basic story line was good. Girl meets boy, they flirt, they drink way too much, they get married, wake up in morning not remembering a thing. Girl sneaks out and flies home. Boy wakes up alone with no memory and he flies home. They find out separately that they are married. Then the real story begins. It should have been a great read but it felt like a book report written by a teenager. Where you get the gist of the story without all the details. There was no depth. I didn't feel connected to the characters. It felt like I was just reading the facts and nothing more. I read an arc, so I'm hoping that all the errors and run on sentences will be gone in the final version because it was hard to read. This story had a lot of potential but it fell flat. I would not recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
What happened in Vegas followed them home. Peyton was aware of being married before she left Vegas but not to who. With the help of her bestie she soon got her answers. Maxwell(Max) on the other hand went on with his life. Working and keeping busy but has flashes of his time in Vegas until his friend suggests getting a P.I. to help fill in the blanks. What he discovers is Peyton, his wife. Talk about a man with a mission, that was Max. This story has heart. It not rushed but take you on a journey of discovery. When a person finds the One that completes them. Learning to grow and overcoming all that is put in the way. Compromising to get the best of both worlds. This is one for the books to be read. I recommend it and you will not be disappointed.

A night in Vegas Having never been to Vegas, these fun reads make me truly wonder if these things really DO happen in Vegas! “Sometimes, a night in Vegas will change your life”… It’s kind of exciting and HOT AF! This book is about Peyton and Maxwell. A drunken night ends in a Vegas wedding. There is confusion and regret, but the physical attraction is undeniable. However, over time, steps are taken to dissolve the marriage, but one of the parties refuses to sign the divorce papers. Real, genuine feelings get in the way. Sacrifices are made to try to make a go of things. Will they be each other’s endgame? It is sweet and steamy, and a fun read. From now on, any time somebody mentions a unicorn, I will think of those hilarious vows! I give this one four and a half stars. She wakes up next to a hot naked stranger with a ring on her finger in Vegas and bolts. He on the other hand has even less of an idea of what happened until he receives a wedding certificate in the mail. When they finally meet there's an obvious attraction, so what to do? Try dating, of course. It's not until the long distance thing becomes a problem that they are both forced to face their feelings. Great book and Max is fantastic, but Peyton gives me moments of questioning what's wrong with her to try and screw up a good thing when he's given her nothing to doubt him. She's a little too easy to manipulate and just shows that her one impulsive (even though she doesn't remember it) moment was the best thing that could have happened to her. Peyton and Max have to much to drink one night in Vegas, they flirt then...….. The next morning Peyton is the first to wake, and bam she is hit with confusion, the nights activities allude her but the ring on her finger says something major happened. And she flees, goes home and resumes her life, Max on the other hand wakes up and the night is fuzzy, he also goes home to resume his life. The marriage certificate comes in the mail and max hires a Private Investigator to find his runaway bride. The old what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas does not apply here. When Max confronts Peyton he is apparently as impressed sober as he was drunk because he wants to stay married even though the live states apart and live completely different life styles

When you drunken night in Vegas comes back in the mail
I have read a number of books by Tarrah Anders so I was excited to pick up What Happens in Vegas. This is the first book in the What Happens In. series and it had my interest piqued. This is the story of Max and Peyton and that one drunken night in Las Vegas. Sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas and for these two it comes home with them in the form of a marriage that they do not remember. So what do they do when the wedding certificate does show up in the mail? I enjoyed this story and the characters. There were some parts that I felt were rushed and would have liked a bit more depth on but it is an entertaining and at times amusing story.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is Book 1 in the What Happens In... Secrets Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. The storyline, the characters, and the author's writing style are quite good. It is a sweet romance between Peyton and Maxwell. What starts out out as a one night hook up turns into something more. The build up of the sexual tension between them, and the predictable premise to help force them into each other’s orbit is quite entertaining. It is a short love story with combustible attraction, frustrating moments, and steamy sex. Overall, it has a good dose of drama, steam, engaging secondary characters, and a happy ending.

Our both wake from a drunken night with the feeling that something important happened but they don't remember any of the details. Will they leave the past in the past, or try to find a way to make a future?
This is a contemporary romance with an accidental (not fake) romance theme. This one surprised me in that I liked it even more than I expected to. Both characters were well developed with solid likable personalities. The plot was fairly straightforward, but engaging and enjoyable. I had fun watching these two come to accept change and try to find a way to make it work. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

This is a new author for me and I have to say I've enjoyed her style of writing. This book has felt like a really good friend and I was happy with most of the book, one part didn't quite work for me personally but not enough to stop me from enjoying this book. I really liked both Payton and Max, they were written so well and their story was lovely to read. I loved the type of person Max was and he had my support early on :)
