Axe completely and utterly ripped my heart out. It was a beautiful emotional read that I was so captivated by. This book contains many triggers so readers should take caution before going in.
Dani Cooper is haunted by her past. She has dealt with so pain and abuse in her life and is just trying to move on and heal. She has a job at a tattoo shop and is in training to become a tattoo artist. On a night out with her bestie, she stumbles onto a sexy man who makes her feel things she doesn’t think she can handle at the moment. They go there separate ways but they can’t stop thinking about each other.a chance encounter makes them cross paths again and Axe decides to shoot his shot and does not take no for an answer. But things don’t go as planned when Dani’s past comes knocking and Axe goes berserk. Dani finds herself leaning on this sexy biker and quickly falling for him but things don’t go as planned and Dani’s happily ever after seems to be slipping away.
Dani was such a strong character. Her life has not been easy yet she perseveres and builds a life for herself after all she has been through. She feels she is broken and damaged and Axe doesn’t deserve that. Axe feels like the life he leads is not for Dani because she is good and pure. They both have their reasons as to why they shouldn’t take the risk but the chemistry is too strong, the sexual tension too potent. They can’t seem to stay away. Axe is Dani’s safe haven. She knows that he will protect her from anything and will get vengeance for her.
The sex between them was insanely hot. Dani completely transformed and came out of her shell. Axe’s dirty talking was such a turn on. I now know why Dani couldn’t stop jumping his bones. They had quite a lot of sex.
Dani had a lot of personal growth in this book. She healed and fell in love. She overcame her past. She is a survivor and a damn strong one at that. The fact that this book is semi-autobiographical is inspiring and makes me so proud of Ruby for being brave and sharing a part of her story with us.

I loved this one. It was so much fun to read, and I can't wait to read the next book. Axe is so much fun to read.

Going in to reading this book by Ruby Carter she states that this book is a semi-autobigraphical story. Which had me intrigued to say the least. As I read through page after page my heart broke for her and all that she had been through. And now at the end I sit here with tears in my eyes they are happy tears but tears none the less .
From the very beginning I could relate to Dani's character she reminded me alot of my Mum and what she went through at the hands of my sperm donor. I do not call him dad he never was one and doesn't deserve the title.
Dani is a beautiful soul , kind caring always thinking of others before her self . Raised by a single mum Dani grew up to be an amazing artist who hoped to become a tattooist at her friends tattoo shop.
Still suffering from the ghosts of her past and the constant barrage of emails, calls and text from her ex she still tried to find her way to becoming the old Dani she was before .
Enter Axe president of the Devil's Reaper's MC one look at Dani and he was gone for . But trying to get through the walls she had built up around herself was a challenge he was willing to win. However when a Devil comes knocking it sets both Dani and Axe on a path that neither saw coming especially to the extent that it did.

This was my first book by this author and it wont be my last. I loved Axe and Dani. A really emotional and wonderful read. Axe and Dani
Ok so not sure if this was the Author's first book or not. That's why I gave it 3 stars. I wanted to support them because with some changes this could've been a really good book.
This book had many mistakes. Not only that but I don't think the Author could make up their mind whether she wanted her characters to speak plainly or in slang. It flips back and forth. On top of that when the sexy scenes start they don't stop it's constant. Like one after another after another.
The other problem is they were together for a year but the baby is portrayed older. The timing was off.

OMG!! Did this book break my heart and had me crying thur out most of the book. Dani and Axe take you on an very emotional, action packed, dark and twisted read that will have you glued to your kindle till the very end. I laughed and cried and got my heart broken just a little bit. With all that Dani had to go thur is there a happy ending for her? Read and find out. Can't wait to read the rest of this series.

Heart-aching Beautiful!
I absolutely loved this amazing story about Dani and Axe. They are such a sweet and very sexy couple! I was in tears so many times throughout their amazing journey to be together, but they also had me laughing out loud and falling in love with them. Dani and Axe’s instant raw attraction and chemistry was oozing off the pages and their powerful passion and heartbreak gutted me to the core. Their story kept me on the edge of my seat with anticipation of what would or could possibly happen next! This was definitely a nail biting story of intense pain, suspense and thrills!
I am blown away that this story is slightly autobiographical and I applaud Ruby for having the strength and the courage to relive it and share such a heartbreaking but beautiful story with us! Highly recommend.

This was a really good book! I connected with Dani and her plight immediately after going through something similar when I was younger. Kudos to you girl for having the courage to tell your story! I actually read Bear first and I'm so glad I started at the beginning. Great characters and storyline made this a good read for me.

A really emotional and wonderful read. This was my first read by this author and certainly won’t be my last. It’s action packed and Dani and Axe’s attraction and chemistry was palpable. I loved their relationship and fell in love with their story. It was an addictive read and I highly recommend it.

Wow! What an intense, dramatic and heartbreaking story from Ms Carter. I have to be honest and say when I started this arc I struggled with the dialogue. I found it to be a bit formal and almost polite to begin with and an awful lot of ‘babe’, ‘hun’ and other such nicknames which I’m not sure it needed....But then the writing seemed to mature and I very quickly found myself unable to put it down!! The dialogue became much more relaxed and plentiful... which I appreciate. Not too much inner rambling from either character and the heat was totally off the chart hot 🔥!!
I can’t even begin to imagine the harrowing things that Dani went through both before and during this story..... the fact that this is semi autobiographical makes it even more difficult to fathom. My greatest respect to Ms Carter for getting through it and for then sharing her story..... I think this is both brave and also I’m sure it could be a great help to other women and men who find themselves in such a spiral.
Let’s not forget about Axe... oh man he is delicious 😋
Reading Dani’s journey and witnessing her find her voice, her courage and her freedom was really uplifting. The fact that Axe was there to support her and give her the space and strength to do so really made their relationship even more special.
If you want an edge of your seat MC romance with drama, heat, passion and all the things that make MC romances so enticing then I suggest you acquaint yourself with the Devils Reapers....

Good book
A pretty good book, I enjoyed it. There was definitely some typos, need a better proof reader. For a first book I was happy with it. I will read the second book about Flex. A nice MC story and tattoo parlors both my favorites. When Ace sees Dani for the first time he is so taken with her. She has had a tough couple of years and is not looking for a guy. Can Ace change her mind?

This is the very first book that I have read from Ruby. I love reading MC books and I will be reading the rest in this series. Not only did it hook me from the beginning but it keep me until the end. It gave me two amazing characters that I want more from every time I turned the page. Ruby wrote this book amazingly. She have me a storyline that I could easily relate to and enjoy. She gave me Axe and Dani that were two people who you could easily relate to, feel for and want more from.

Dani's past comes back to haunt her in more way than one. Will Axe be able to save her and prove to her that he is different? Will these two be able to be in a relationship? I loved Axe and Dani. These two have some amazing chemistry. They both have pasts that neither can get over but together fate can move mountains for them. I enjoyed reading this and cant wait to read more from this series and author. Ruby has gained a fan with these two characters and this storyline. Highly recommend reading this one and starting this series.

Tattoo artist in training Dani is hiding from a horrible past. Her art is her solace so is her best friend and her best friends brother. Axe president of Devil’s Reapers MC is not afraid to take what he wants and he wants Dani. I liked the premise of this book “broken” female tattoo artist attracted to big bad MC alpha while hiding from her past. However, the was a lot going on in this book. The first time Dani and Axe meet they are out at a club he flirts with her and she brushes off his advances telling him she is broken and to find someone else. Axe sees fear and hurt in her eyes but still comes on full force, the next time he sees her he full on kisses her. Now I know Axe is an alpha but a little finesse goes along way. Over the course of the book Dani experiences some horrible things and Axe does not handle it well even a little bit. In the end Axe Redeems himself in my book and he proves his love for Dani many times over.
This is Ruby Carter’s first MC book and while it has its flaws it is worth reading. I connected with Dani immediately and loved her strength and willingness to survive. AXE is a a good read with love, action and strength. Looking forward to reading her next book Flex.

I was so thrilled when Axe showed up on my e-reader! MC romances are my main staple, I cannot get enough of them. Axe and Dani meet-cute, she falls into his lap. Irregardless of his admiration and her attraction, she was burned and badly by her ex, Paul. He still texts her and calls reminding her constantly of the past and she hasn't been able to move on. Axe is able to convince Dani to give him a shot and he heads to her place to pick her up for a date. When he arrives, she is gone and it wasn't voluntary. After 9 months away from him, the ex has shown back up in a spectacular way and things get seriously intense. The overall feel of Axe is right up my alley and I enjoyed it. Axe, Dani and her girlfriend and her boss at the tattoo shop are awesome characters but there were a few inconsistencies. I found it confusing that he had been calling and texting for 9 months and she didn't block him. This was touched on but it still bugged me. I thought he didn't live local as he hadn't shown up at any time before this but this wasn't really explained. Axe blows hot and cold, I got whiplash from it and wanted to kick him in the tail a few times. Even with the issues, I flew through it and enjoyed it. I am thrilled that there are two other books in this series already so I will be reading them as soon as possible. Ruby Carter has a new fan, she shows a lot of promise and I can't wait to see where she takes us next.

Discovered this author, very recently, and I really liked it !!
Axe is the president of the Devils Reapers MC, he's all Alpha male and sexy too !!
Dani is a tattoo artist in training at the moment, she works with her best friend Zara, and Zara's brother, Jake !!
When they both meetn their attraction is there, and we know that somethings good, will come from that, but it's actually not as easy as it seems.
Dani's past, is very present to her, and because of that she won't allow Axe to be too close from her !!
The story was good, but the dramas coming at the beginning and around the middle end, had been a little bit too much.... the first time, I was a bit shocked about it, but then I love the make up scene after that, and then it happened again..... and it had been a little bit too much, honestly.
My real rating, would be 3,5/5, but instead I give a 4/5 !! Will start Flex's book, I just hope it won't be a repeat from book 1 !!

OH MY GOSH!!!!! This book has left me breathless. The crap that poor Dani has been through with that *^** Paul was HORRIFIC!!!! This jerk has to be put down.... Dani works at Empire Ink as a receptionist and training to be a tattoo artist. Axe is President of Devil's Reapers MC. They meet at a bar one night and then again when Axe goes into Empire Ink to talk to Dani's boss. There's an immediate connection but Dani's leary of men after all she's endured at the hands of her ex. Axe finally gets her to go out with him and after they agree upon a time he ends up being late and Paul ends up showing up and kidnaps Dani. That Paul causes problem after problem. Axe and Dani's journey sure isn't an easy one and they go through so much it makes you wonder if they'll even make it through it all especially Dani. And if it wasn't for Axe she probably wouldn't make it.

Come and fall into the lap of Axe, in the re-realise of Rubys' debut novel. I can assure you that you will be falling even harder for the big bad president of the Devils Reapers MC. Full of new content and reimagined scenes brought together and beautifully edited to create a story and characters you shall never want to part with.
First of all, let us take a moment to acknowledge the fact that this is a semi-autobiographical novel. This in itself has me in awe at Ruby's strength not only to overcome but relive and share her personal story and growth through her work. So for that alone, I applaud you.
It all starts with a chance encounter between Axe, President of the Devils Reapers MC and his little Pixie, Dani, in an over-heated bar. A meeting that sets them on their journey of new beginnings, the meaning of Self worth and of course a heap of romance. After falling into his lap, quite literally she feels an instant connection, one that set her nerves on edge. Her past has ingrained deeply within her mind causing her to stick to her self imposed rules to defend herself from the gorgeous sexy stranger that felt so good pressed against her. He wants her like he has no other and with the phone, she left in his lap blowing up by someone aptly named the ''Dick'' has his hackles rose and his need to protect the small innocent creature intensify. When she walks/runs with a parting comment that has him both amazing and angered she could think that and why. The vision of her and the feelings she caused won't leave his mind. With a chance encounter that has them meeting and sparks flying it sets off a series of events that neither ever saw coming.
Join Danielle as she learns to trust again and have her heart soothed by the man wrapped in leather. Watch as he crumbles her walls piece by piece. But not everything is as it seems for her past is tied up with her present which comes back knocking on her door. Can her big bad Alpha President protect her and her heart?
What can I say apart from this girl here has a gift and she knows how to write. This book had me hooked from the very beginning with relatable and engrossing main and sub-characters that draw you in. First of all, let us take a moment to acknowledge the fact that this is a semi-autobiographical novel. This in itself has me in awe at Ruby's strength not only to overcome but relive and share her personal story and growth through her work. So for that alone, I applaud you.
It all starts with a chance encounter between Axe, President of the Devils Reapers MC and his little Pixie, Dani, in an over-heated bar. A meeting that sets them on their journey of new beginnings, the meaning of Self worth and of course a heap of romance. After falling into his lap, quite literally she feels an instant connection, one that set her nerves on edge. Her past has ingrained deeply within her mind causing her to stick to her self imposed rules to defend herself from the gorgeous sexy stranger that felt so good pressed against her. He wants her like he has no other and with the phone, she left in his lap blowing up by someone aptly named the ''Dick'' has his hackles rose and his need to protect the small innocent creature intensify. When she walks/runs with a parting comment that has him both amazing and angered she could think that and why. The vision of her and the feelings she caused won't leave his mind. With a chance encounter that has them meeting and sparks flying it sets off a series of events that neither ever saw coming.

Axe was not the first of the Devils Reapers series I have read; however, I am happy that I got to read this characters story. Meeting Dani and Axe, and being a part of their interaction with one another is a great step into the series and a fabulous introduction to the Devils Reapers President and his Club members. In order to fully enjoy and comprehend what the club entails, you need to open up the book and join the Club.

This is a new author to me and I can’t believe I have waited this long to read her!! She has well developed characters and an intriguing and suspenseful storyline. This is an intense, emotional and drama filled story that I just couldn’t put down. When Axe sees Dani for the first time he knows he’s done. The chemistry and attraction is instantaneous. But there is dark and twisted times. Will Dani get her HEA? I’m really looking forward to Flex’s book!!

RERELEASE REVIEW ARC-
I am in love with the New Axe Novel being released on 12th April 2020.
I felt every word of the authors story. The way she incorporated her own biography into it made it come to life I could feel the emotions of Axe and Dani. It made me cry, laugh, and smile.
It sucked me in and I felt I was apart of this story. Not many authors are brave enough to put life experiences into their books but Ruby did it in a great way. The scenes were graphic in a good way.
I would suggest everyone to read this book and you will fall in love with the series!🖤

Ruby Carter is a new author to me and I really enjoy finding new authors to read. This book is one heck of a wild ride. Axe and Dani's book will take you on a whirl wind of a ride.

So Darling
Dani and Axe are the most darling thing ever! Their raw attraction to each other is excellently illustrated with the smell motif and really reminds you how primal love can be. Just like their anger and fear. The subplot with her ex really keeps the book interesting and is just what the two need to truly come together. And I love how we could start piecing the villain together in the beginning with the foreshadowing.
There's still work to go on the writing. But, considering this is slightly autobiographical, I highly commend Ruby for having the strength to relive it all and share such a beautiful story with us!

Spoilers.. Beware
Ok.. So the story line was good. But the language was slightly unrealistic and some parts didn't connect well. Also it seemed like some things were left unfinished..
Some of the dialogue for Axe seemed like it didn't suit his character more like that's what he was meant to say as that's whats in other MC books. Also when she gets taken both times he sends all his people off to find out where she is and then just fu**s off to the gym and reads a diary. It's like he wasn't going to look for just expected everyone else to while he whinged about failing her.. While he was doing nothing and failing her anyway. Then the whole thing with Dog seemed to have just been chucked in to the story line to make it seem like they had club business that wasn't just about her but it was so unfinished. He said Dog was his friend but they had no interaction with each other except the first call to meet up then talked another like 3 times on the phone and now their really close friends. Then when they go to the club house when they hear him getting shot he races over there (which he didn't even do for his own women) and finds a raving clubhouse with loads of club girls and drugged up members of the Scorpions but when he comes face to face with Spider like 2 minutes later it's him and 5 of his men and 3 of them? That didn't make sense. Also when she goes to the hospital with a stab woun to her belly they doctor comes and tells them that she's got brain bleed which they fixed and will keep her in a M. I. C (medically induced coma) but nothing about the stab wound. Then when she wakes up the doctor comes to her room to update her on her wounds etc and tell her she lost a lot of blood due to the stab wound to her belly and nothing about a brain bleed. She's also then said to have been in the MIC for 4 weeks then unconscious for 2 weeks after and the doctor says to her 'oh I thought you knew you were pregnant your about 8 weeks along'. Was she supposed to know she was pregnant when she was only 2 weeks? Since she was unconscious for 6 weeks how would she know she was pregnant at 2 weeks along? Nothing seemed finished. He beat up her ex and shot him but not killing him.. So is he dead now or what? What happened to the Scorpions, are they now disbanded or are they going to come back in revenge even though no one spoke up while he was beating and shooting their president? When he ram off with Dani to take her to the hospital he left Spider with prospects to watch him or whatever actually happened (it didn't say) and when he was in the van he rang them and told them to get to the hospital.. That was it on the Scorpions so what happened? Don't have a clue?
The book needs to be either re edited or edited again.. There were either words missing in a sentence or words added so that you had to decipher how the sentence should go before you could make sense of it.. Either taking out words so it runs fluently or adding words so it makes sense. It kept stopping me when I was trying to read through as I had to work out what it was meant to say.
Last thing... It comes to the end of the book when she's in hospital and say the end. Then it's like another 7/8 chapters of epilogue I thought itd go on forever. I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude but it really needs to be proofread and edited and then put back up. I'm afraid I'm not going to be reading the next books in the series I don't think I can go through all that again.

An action packed MC story that gripped from the start, Brilliant storyline, characters you warm to straight away and it just all flows nicely. I will definitely be reading more from this author

Well done Ruby on your first book!!! I really liked the story line, there was always something happening! The characters were likable and interesting. Fab little story, Good job 👍
