Chocolate and Easter go hand-in-hand. Apparently, so does murder…
Charlie Mission, spy-in-hiding, has just gotten used to the ‘normal’ life in Gossip, Texas. She’s helping her butt-kicking grandma look after the inn, baking cocoa cupcakes for the Easter festival, managing the kitten menagerie at the Kitten Foster Care Center, and avoiding her ‘babysitter,’ Agent Smulder, like he’s come to steal her chocolate eggs. Or to sweep her away into the dark underground before her murderous rogue spy ex-husband finds her.
Not that she’d ever let that happen. Gossip is peaceful for once… until the Easter celebration goes horribly wrong. A man dressed up as the Easter bunny is shot in broad daylight. Suspects abound and most of them happen to be guests at the Gossip Inn. With this much time to kill, Charlie can’t help getting involved, especially when the murderer claims a second victim.
Charlotte and her grandmother must solve the case or their covers might be blown.

I wanted to get back to Gossip, Texas and be caught up before the fourth book comes out. I'm not sure when that's happening now, but I'm ready. This was a case with a murder plus a couple of other mysteries in it, both of which were solved and wrapped up nice and clean. I love how Gamma and Charlie kind of handed the killer over to the police practically with a bow on top, lol. I wasn't sure who the killer was in this case because of some great red herrings. I think Det. Crowley is either getting so used to coming to the inn for cases that he's just nicer, or maybe he's got a thing for Gamma lol.
Another case affected Charlie more personally than the murder, but I don't want to give away any of the good stuff. There was also a little mystery concerning one of the new kittens who always seemed to be getting out of a locked kitten area. It ended great, and I'll just be waiting for the next book.
I really enjoyed this book in the series, I think it's my favorite so far! I am enjoying the development of the characters more and the mystery as well.
I love this series! A grandmother-granddaughter ex-spy team! This book continues the story of Georgie, a spy-in-hiding, who goes to live with her grandmother, a retired spy who now runs a B&B in Gossip, Texas. If you like a good mystery with family loyalty, humor and a little romance, then you need to read this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Agent Charlie Mission, using the name “Charlotte Jean Smith”, is in hiding at her Gamma Georgina’s Gossip Inn B&B from her rogue double agent ex-husband, Kyle Graden. Brian Smulder, another agent who was her liaison with the National Security Investigative Bureau (“NSIB”), was there to keep her safe as well, although she really didn’t need him. Gamma, a retired spy herself, had an entire armory of weapons in the basement, all of which the NSIB would confiscate if they found out – which would get her in lots of trouble.
During the Gossip, Texas, Easter festival, a man dressed as the Easter Bunny gets shot, most of the suspects being guests at the Inn! Shortly after that, another guest is murdered and Agent Smulder is kidnapped. And adding on to the odd events, a kitten keeps mysteriously escaping from the Kitten Foster Care Center. If Charlie and Gamma can’t solve this case quickly, their careful “covers” will be blown and Charlie’s ex could find her hiding place! There are so many things going on! Is it the same person to blame? Or is there more than one mystery to solve?
I really love this series! It is always full of action and interspersed with humor. The story line is well-paced, the characters are delightful and make the book fun to read. There may even be a little romance in the air! Grab your copy and see how our super-spy copes with another murderer while trying to stay incognito!
This was a fun read with clean humor. It’s based in a small town centered around the main characters Charlie, Gamma, Lauren and Agent Smulder during a Easter celebration in town at the Gossip Inn. During the celebration, something goes wrong. Not only does the Easter Bunny get killed, but another guest at the Inn is murdered and Agent Smulder is kidnapped. The kitten menagerie at the Kitten Foster Care Center is fully operational and someone keeps leaving the door open so Sherlock keeps getting out. Who is letting Sherlock out? Is there a relationship growing between Charlie and Smulder? I love Gamma and Charlie’s antic, Charlie’s outfits, Lauren’s cooking and the Gossip Inn. I am hooked on the series and hope it continues. This is a must read if you enjoy this spy-in-hiding series.

Another great book in the series. Love the characters and the challenge of trying to figure out who did it before the reveal in the book.
It is the Easter Festival in Gossip and Charlie, Georgina and Lauren are cooking up a slew of cocoa cupcakes. The inn has an eclectic assortment of guests including perennial Bob Bolton. Bob volunteers to dress up as the Easter Bunny for the festivities and is shot in broad daylight. Bob's fiancee Leanne and his Aunt Gracie are also guests at the inn. Charlie later finds Leanne murdered in her room and Brian gets kidnapped. Can Charlie and Georgina uncover the murderer and find Brian before anyone else is killed?

I hated how it started with everything from the 2nd book all fixed with no fallout and no repercussions.
There were more clues and sleuthing in this book and Georgina was not telling Charlie what to do at every step, which made Charlie a slightly better character, however, she's getting way too attached and emotional to ever be able to go back to her old life.
I'm not exactly sure why people keep coming to this Inn where the owner keeps throwing her weight around and bad things keep happening. I have to guess the guests don't know how to leave proper reviews on the place online.
An old mansion with hidden passages makes for more than one day- especially when Jessie Belle Blue the jealous cattery owner, a possible black widow, a spy or four, and a cop worthy of the Keystones are involved!
Fun and exciting mystery, adventure, humorous self / romantic reflection cozy!
I received an advance copy from Booksprout. I read this and other books in this series on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited
Charlie's still hiding in Gossip with her grandma, learning to love the B&B and the cat sanctuary, when one of the guests in murdered in the B&B. Is it her ex...or one of his associates coming to call? While Charlie, grandma and Brian are working to solve it, another guest dies and Brian turns up missing, putting the pressure on, never mind Gamma's nemesis is appling some heat. Charlie needs to solve it AND resolve how she feels about Brian.
Great characters, entertaining story line, a bit of humor mixed in with the suspense and mystery. Rosie does a great job with her writing that the story line pulls you in and captivates you. The characters are just as entertaining as the story line. No spoilers here just know you won't be disappointed reading this one.

Charlie has been staying off the grid at her Gamma’s inn. Brian is still making sure she doesn’t do anything to break her cover. However, a murder may complicate her situation. Charlie and her grandmother discover there is more going on to endanger them all. I love the characters in this series and the twists in this story.

Charlie continues to be rather inept as a spy, and none of the characters are particularly engaging. Gamma, at least, is more on top of her spy game, and I don't even know what to say about Smulder. The mystery portion is well-written written and provides suitable red herrings; however, the killer and motive is completely ridiculous. The changes of trajectory in Charlie's personal life may be interesting, though...
It is nice in a cozy to have a main character that can take care of themselves and not need to be saved. This series is good to have something that is just okay in my ears while I'm cleaning and doing other things. The mystery in this one was okay, the resolve was good. I'll continue on with this when I can't find anything else.
Tiny nit pick: In the audiobook, I can't stand the way the narrator says library.
The author has returned us to the town of Gossip and the residents of the Gossip Inn and Kitten Rescue. Charlotte, Georgina and Brian are pulled into it again when people begin dying. Will they be able to solve the murders and keep their covers?

Point's latest has no shortage of mysteries to solve. Kicking off with the Easter Bunny kicking the bucket followed by the murder of his fiancé, the disappearance of Smulders and the mystery of how a kitten keeps crossing over to the inn side, even though I figured out who the culprit of the murders are, there are other storylines to keep you guessing.
Another fun story involving the ladies of Gossip. I was rather disappointed with the typos and other editing errors throughout the book. I did get a big smile when she mentioned the little ginger kitten sleeping in the litter box. That's exactly how I found my tiny ginger girl during a shelter event. We have been together for 16 years now😍😍
This was a great story! All the characters are special in there own way! Charlie and Gamma make a great team! You have the crazies, the lovable and of course the cats! You must read to the end to figure out “who done it”. Enjoy this book. You will be glad you read it!❤️
Really enjoyed this adventure with Charlie Mission and her Gamma. Who killed the surly Easter Bunny and why? Even though Charlie knows she shouldn’t get involved, she can’t help herself. Just as one mystery is solved, another one pops up. Keeps you going until the end.
I’m enjoying listening to this series on audiobook. I thought the plot of this book, the third in the series, was better developed. There weren’t loose ends in the end. I’m so happy the Kitten Sanctuary is open. I love how the kittens are adding to the story.
The narration really brings these stories to life.
This was an enjoyable mystery. I like how there is an overall story that runs through the series as well as the individual mystery in each book. My one issue is that Charlie doesn’t always come across as a trained agent.
I read all 3 books in the series and loking forward to book 4. I did highlight several grammatical errors, but the content was entertaining, the characters were very well developed. This series reminded me of the"Swamp Team" series by Jana DeLeon. Rosie Point is very talented.
I am really enjoying this series with a kitten who escapes, a retired spy, a spy who is hiding and one who is there to keep her out of trouble. Not that he's very successful at that!😀
Light, easy read. The mystery aspect of this most recent audiobook in the series was solid. The main character still comes across as too immature and unseasoned to be a legit spy. Not sure if how it’s written or how it’s narrated that leaves me with this impression.
A very pleasant mystery story. Simple intrigue and colorful characters. Third in a series but a good read on its own as well. Wonderful book to read just for the fun of it. If you like Hallmark type mystery, you will like this book.
another book describing the antics of Charlotte and her granmother, Georgina. For 2 spies trying to keep a low profile they sure do keep finding themselves mixed up in murder investigations. enjoyable cozy mystery with good structure even if the plot seems a bit outlandish at times.
Just when Charlie thinks she is starting to settle in Gossip Texas while hiding from her ex husband and other spies that want her dead, things go awry. First off one of the Inn's residents is shot dead while being in an Easter bunny costume. Then and another guest is killed while staying at the Inn. Then Brian, is kidnapped. What is going on? Plus there is a kitten that keeps escaping from the Kitten Center. A lot of things for Charlie and Gamma to figure out without blowing their cover. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Excellent. Well written entertaining don't miss. Recommend you read these books. Love the characters. I am pulled into story and feel I am part of the story.
