Four Play

Rate this book
The four annoying boys who were responsible for the worst moments of my childhood have grown into four irritating, hot-as-sin MEN.

I try to ignore them but they torment me during the day and haunt my dreams at night. Oh, and did I mention… they’re my stepbrothers.

Adam, Matt, and identical twins Josh and Jake would be most girls’ dream - but not mine. Sure, they’re tall, dark, gorgeous, and successful, but I don’t want them and I don’t need them – at least that’s what I tell myself, until I spend one mind-blowing week at their beach house.

We do things together I never even dreamed about, and I find out there’s more to them than meets the eye. But it’s just a game we’re playing, isn’t it? By the time I realize I need to protect my heart, it may be too late.

FOUR Play is a full-length standalone mega menage/reverse harem romance. It involves sizzling MMFMM, MFM, and MF scenes guaranteed to inspire your fantasies. No cliffhangers. No cheating. Just lots of steamy goodness and a very happy ever after.

I love RH, no one does it like Stephanie. She's amazing.
Maddy's mom needs help with her bakery while she's on her honeymoon.... Then there's the Step brothers, history and of course temptation. This was short and sweet and I enjoyed it very much.

There was a lot of telling with the relationship building, which I wish were more developed like the intimate scenes. I also feel that there was an unbalanced screen times for the guys.

So, it's no secret that I am a fan of Stephanie's books. She has laid down enough words that you know your reading time is well spent in her capable hands. And if you're new to her, and the "Four" series are your first dive into her worlds, then... sit back back, grab a latte or cocktail and dive in. Her series are well tied together, and make you want to root for the next girl to find her HEA with her group of guys. There's no holes, there's no feelings of anything being missed. She builds worlds you can trust.

That said... Lawd yes! Ok, I know... 24, virgin? For Bianca, in her home situation, it fits. And it rolls so smoothly with the storyline. And there's even a little mini twist among the guys that I didn't expect! The one I thought had feelings from the first, wasn't him! And I love that! The smexy bits are built up like they should be for the plot that's being told. The famous SB humor is laced throughout just like I hope for, and the side characters leave you craving their stories!

So, grab Bianca & The Evans Men... then go grab a few more Stephanie books. And then set up to follow her because the premise hints for the next one, SWEET CHEEZITS... wild ride I'm guessing! (In a good way!)

😒Honestlythis book did nothing for me. I found it boring and slow to the point. The steamy scenes weren't really steamy at all.

- When Maddy found who her mom was marrying. She kept complaining about how mean and cruel the boys were, but come to find out the "mean and cruel" thing weren't at all! The twins stopped talking to her bc they started dating.

- way too many "Oh God(s)" and Maddy's overly vocal orgasms were annoying and ruined the scenes completelyfor me.
- actually Maddy's character was pretty annoying.

Short book, with the synopsis I did not expect much, but the truth is that it has been a bit disappointing. The characters are barely described, there is hardly any story, and the 'hot' scenes are ... meh.

//

Libro bastante cortito, con la sinopsis de la obra no esperaba gran cosa, pero la verdad es que ha sido un poco decepcionante. No se describen apenas a los personajes, no hay apenas historia y las escenas subidas de tono tampoco son nada del otro mundo.

This was a quick and easy read that started off strong but kind of got weaker towards the end. The spice it had was very good and all of the characters were extremely enjoyable! It was just the right amount of taboo but the ending just seemed rushed, unlikely to occur and just a little bit cringe!

I really enjoyed this reverse harem. I love the whole stepbrothers take. It feels taboo even if it truly isn't. Maddie is a lost girl who starts to find herself when she returns home and meets the Harding boys again after years away. This is sweet and hot read.

Four Play
By: Stephanie Brother
Narrated by: Laurie West

Quadruple the pleasure with four fabulously delicious brothers, imagine that!! I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet story, it is well written and well told with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are likable and easy to relate to, the only thing that could have made this book better was getting to spend more time with them. I adored Maddy, she was following her dreams, finishing culinary school, living in the big city the only achievement she hasn’t reached was finding the job of her dreams, she is stuck working in a donut shop, it pays the bills but her culinary and baking skills are wasted there. Her Mom surprises her with news and asks her to come home and run her bakery she does so, the only thing she dreads is seeing the Harding Brothers, soon to be her step-brothers. Josh, Jake, Adam and Matt are friendly with her but she has not forgiven them for their past behavior but they do not give up on her. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some heartfelt moments and some hot romance and sexy times. Stephanie Brother, thank you for another fabulous story!

I listened to the Audible edition, Laurie West is a talented narrator and voice artist. She brings these characters to life giving each their own voice and personality. She does a great job portraying and humanizing them with their emotions. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Girl beaten down by life in the big city.. she's a pastry chef working at a donut shop making minimum wage.... gets called home to cover her mothers bakery while she goes on her honeymoon. To a man she never told her daughter about...
Weird

Then of course the man she is marrying is the father of 4 guys that annoyed Madison.
I didn't get a real feel for why Madison was so angry at the brothers. Seemed like pretty standard growing up stuff instead of true harassment. 2 twins who were her best friend but then started dating girls *gasp* and the 2 older brothers who ignored her... again, pretty standard.

But she gets over her anger when after the wedding she needs help and they start supporting her like the good guys they apparently are.

After that she makes a ton of assumptions about how the relationship will go while sleeping with all of them nonstop.

Absolutely no communication and then of course. Accidental Pregnancy!

So, anyway, quick read and a pretty typically RH from Ms. Brother. And I will continue to pick these up when I want something with no angst or heavy thinking.

Who wouldn't want four play?

I have yet to be disappointed by this author's work. Her books are a no brainer and a go to when I want smexy, steamy stepbrother love stories. The men know how to please and care for their woman and definately want to share. Stephanie Brother makes sure that each guy has their own personality and aren't just multiple hot hunks who want to share a woman. These guys were a close knit family unit of their own but who also grew up with Maddie. They broke her heart when they were younger. Now that she is back and all grown up they realize their mistake and want to make it up to her. 😉😉 And boy do they make it up to her. A few trials and a couple surprise and this was a great story about forgiving the past mistakes and moving forward and finding their missing pieces. I highly recommend this book!

•taboo stepbrothers romance
•reverse harem
•twins
•sort of friends (in the past), to enemies to lovers

I think this is the worst book I've read of this author, I mean we get the purpose of this book, smut and smut and then smut but there is no character introduction for the males, we don't know anything about them, they do not feel like distinct or different characters.

In terms of plot, there is no plot. Smut was super cringy and there is a surprise preg trope so nope.

For a reverse harem 177 pages ? nope, not for me, the story seems very rushed and we didnt got to meet the characters at all..seems like the author just wanted to get to the end of it asap. i could barelly got time to remember their names and had no idea how they looked, that only have been mentiones one time maybe. Big no for me

Serien-Reihenfolge:
1. 4 Stiefbrüder
2. 4 Bosse
3. 4 Freunde

I loved Four Play but I was a little disappointed with the interactions between Maddy and her men. I really wanted to see them interact more outside of the bedroom and really have that relationship develop.

I wish they would've talked things out more too. At the beginning of the book, Maddy mentions how each of them made her life hell, though she doesn't really go into any details. She had a sort of talk with Jake and Josh, but never really hashed things out with Matt and Adam. Everything just kind of got brushed to the side with all of them and I wish whatever actions they held in the past would've been talked about and dealt with. She never even really got apologies for them being horrible to her.

Matt's character seemed a bit flat in comparison to Adam and the twins. Maybe that was because Maddy didn't know him as well, but he didn't seem as fleshed out as the other three. I wish Stephanie would have leaned more into the 'watch out for the quiet ones' trope and made him a sex god or something equally as fun. Or given him more of a personality, I'm not picky.

Four Play was alright. Not my favourite by this author but I didn't completely hate it. I just wish that it would've developed overall a bit more.

Best contemporary reverse harem that I have read in a long time

Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language and steamy adult intimate scenes (MF, MFM, MMFMM).

There are a few grammatical issues but not very many and nothing difficult to interpret. This story has a fast paced storyline focusing on Madison and her four new stepbrothers that she has known all her life. Two of them older than her and the twins that were in the same grade growing up, all of them her tormentors …

Now she needs to leave the city to go back to Four Corners Island to take care of her mom’s bakery while she goes on her honeymoon. Too bad that all of them have grown up to be even better good looking men that seem to have a staring role in her fantasies … if karma had anything to say about it they should all have warts and be bald …

If you like hot protective stepbrothers want to take care of that special someone, in this case their new little sis, in a contemporary reverse harem ménage, then I highly recommend this story.

Cute yet smutty step-siblings romance

First, the author's name is Step Brother, which seems like she was destined to write the style of book.

Second, the cover shows four men with thirty-some abs between them. I might have stared and tried to count, but the drool was dropping on the Kindle, so I lost track.

I'll admit to a moment of concern, right along with the lucky leading lady, at this moment:

"Wait – is he flirting? That definitely sounded flirty, or maybe he’s just being crude and trying to make me uncomfortable. The thought of the four of them giving me a private show definitely makes parts of me very uncomfortable. Hot and a bit tingly."

Please just be flirty and not that sort of boys will be boys awful? And, thankfully, he was. They all are, which made this book have both abs and a storyline. It's a slower, romantic lead up to the smut in a variety of configurations that all focus on her, no crossing of swords. Reasonably well done. While my preference is for multiples more than the step taboo, it was still a n entertaining read.

Wow!!! This was an easy fast pace read for sure with spice moments. The short chapter and easy writing got you into the book that I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to know what will happen next. However that been said I wish the storyline was a bit longer and had more details as well. I got into the book just fine and I absolutely love the characters but I kinda of wish it was more finished more with the characters in a way. I know that doesn't make sense but that is how I feel. I like how Maddy had with her relationship with her mom. How she didn't want to be selfish but put her mom happy first. I love the reality of how Maddy felt after the week with the boys and how hard that would be with the family. However I love how the Adam, Matt, Josh and Jake love Maddy and treated her with the kindness and respect. They needed her and she needed them. I just wish I had more of them maybe that is what I mean when the storyline a bit longer and had more details. I can't wait to read more of this series and hope I get to see these four in the rest of the series....

Really liked

One of my favorites by this author out of the books I've read by her recently..
I really enjoyed the storyline. I liked ....
*Spoiler-ish*
I liked all the characters, and loved that all the guys were 'all in' pretty much with zero reservation for logistics... They were going with pure feelings for the h ( which they showed as true gradually, something I also found refreshing , it's hard to do with these story's being half focused on the sexual aspect, that sometimes, with the guys, it's hard to show they are more than about the physical). Conversely I even enjoyed the h, who was 'outwardly ' firmly planted in the " realist, this is too taboo" mindset... Even if on the inside she had deep feelings, she couldn't see it working in the real world... I liked the contrast, they balanced each other storywise😊👍👍👍👍

Maddy's Mum is remarrying and so she has returned home for the wedding and to cover her mother's bakery business while she is on her honeymoon. As part of the marriage, she gains four annoying stepbrothers - Adam, Matt, and identical twins Josh and Jake who are all gorgeous and any sane woman's dream. She tells herself that she doesn't need them but after one week of staying with them in their beach house finding out, that there is so much more to them than she realised.

I enjoyed this quick story of how Maddy started off angry and ended up more than satisfied. It was great to see that the guys were very happy and successful in their chosen careers and yet they were also happy to share and work together to give Maddy whatever she needed. This is an MMFMM story which contains a lot of mature content.

Maddy's Fantasy

Maddy's mom is getting married. Unfortunately it's to a family she has had feelings for. The sons used to be friends with her but then she was swept to the side by them. She is hesitant to get to know them again. But they do. Adam, Matt, and the twins, Josh and Jake want more than to be friends. Maddy thinks it's wrong because their parents got married. Maddy is tending to her mom's bakery while she is on her honeymoon. They get together innocently but it turns into much more. The parents come home and Maddy ends it because she thinks her mom would be disappointed with her. Another problem arises. Will she have the strength to reveal it? How will everyone else feel? Loved the ending

Some mild spoilers

Standalone RH book. Very low angst. This was a cute book, had some excellent steamy scenes, but it was very anticlimactic. The harem is made up of 4 brothers, who our main character “hates”. When she moves back to town, everything is forgiven and forgotten pretty quickly and they spend a week in bed together. It’s definitely insta love. They haven’t seen each other in 6 years and the moment they see her, they all want her and are immediately talking about moving in and being together long term. It wasn’t a bad book, it was an enjoyable read for sure, but nothing special.

Another step brother romance with a happy ending.

Maddy comes home to the island to run her moms bakery while she goes on a honeymoon. But the bane of her high school years is still on the island, and now he and his three brothers are going to be her step brothers. The twins used to be her best friends, until they discovered girls and Matt never said much at all, but Adam used to torment her, now she has to deal with them all. Too bad she never quite got over the crushes she used to have on them, no matter how bad Adam treated her. There is a happy ending, but also some heartbreak and a heck of a surprise.
