I fell in love with his rope skills. I stayed because somehow he took hold of my heart and made it his.
Callum Valentine didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Then again? When a man is calling a woman fat right in front of your table, it’s kind of hard not to intervene. Especially when the town’s most beautiful creature ever is the one being called fat.
Desi just wants to be left alone. After an ugly divorce, she thinks she’s in the clear. Then her ex takes it upon himself to continue to make her life miserable, giving Desi no choice but to take it or leave.
In fact, her bags were nearly all the way packed when Callum poked his nose into the most embarrassing spectacle the town of Kilgore has ever witnessed. The moment he declares her his and off limits, everything changes—and definitely not for the better.
As if things couldn’t get worse than being called a pitiful, fat heifer in front of the hottest man she’s ever seen, Callum has to go and say that she’s his, and they have to play a game that she’s not quite sure she wants to be playing.
But before her eyes, things change. And suddenly the rules of the game aren’t clear. And they’re crossing boundaries neither one of them see coming.
Lani Lynn Vale is married to the love of her life that she met in high school. She fell in love with him because he was wearing baseball pants. Ten years later they have three perfectly crazy children and a cat named Demon who likes to wake her up at ungodly times in the night. They live in the greatest state in the world, Texas. She writes contemporary and romantic suspense, and has a love for all things romance. You can find Lani in front of her computer writing away in her fictional characters world...that is until her husband and kids demand sustenance in the form of food and drink.
I loved Callum and Desi. Callum wasn’t a man to stand by and watch as a lady was mistreated so he won me over pretty quickly. Desi had her insecurities but in the end she chose to love and accept herself and open her heart to another.
I liked the chemistry between these two. Especially how unimpeded and honest Callum was with his tastes. Their intimacy was hot.🔥Scorching! Their development was progressive and executed well.
The writing was distinct LLV and contained all the crazy hilarious antics she is known for. All in all an awesome addition to the series.
Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.
A sexy hot as sin cowboy, wearing skin tight wranglers, knows what to do with a good woman, and knows real women have curves. pfft....hell yeah!! 💖🔥💯🙌🏼
So these Valentine Boys are freaking awesome. I really liked Ace and Codie in Herd that but I think Desi and Callum beat them out in Crazy Heifer. Or maybe it’s just that there was a little more going on with Desi’s acehole ex and all the boys wanted in on the action so we saw a whole lot more of the brothers. And oh man the brothers. And the nephews, can I just say, are shaping up to be just as solid men as their father and uncles.
So Desi we already kind of knew from Herd That, being as she was Codie’s bestie and obviously we knew Callum since he’s Ace’s brother. But with them being the focus of this book I just loved them so much. Desi was such a sweetheart. And her ex was such a jerk I really wanted him to get hit by a falling piano. And his new fiance needed to be gently slapped in the face with a brick. But Desi took the high road and acted like the adult which is something I respect especially since I haven’t even got the directions to that road yet.
Callum was just beautiful. I loved that he was instantly attracted to Desi and her curves and that she was exactly his type and he wasn’t shy in showing her. But I especially loved that regardless of that he was determined to prevent her from being bullied by her ex and his fiance. And he went in hard and used it not just to defend Desi from Mal but also to spend time with her and claim her. He was exactly what she needed and he treated her like she walked on water and I just adored them as a couple.
I loved the background characters and like I said we got a lot of the brothers in this one so I am excited to keep getting more of their stories. And we got to know a little about Candy so I am doubly excited for her and Banks to explode in a big cloud of angry hate sex chemistry. But I am also praying that Darby gets himself a hottie jeweller sales person because she seriously felt like she could give that boy a run for his money. I was devastated at the loss of Molloy, he brought so much to this story and I would have loved to have him all through the series. But knowing there’s still so much goodness to come I can’t wait.
The Sitch Callum is eating at a diner when Desi’s horrid, horrid ex decides to call her names and basically act like an asshat. Callum stands up for her, and pretends to be her boyfriend. They are drawn together to prep for a race that Desi signed up for as a way to lose weight and thumb her nose at her ex. Cal and Desi grow closer, and yep, romance happens. The Good Ms. Vale has a distinctive voice and I think she excels in writing family and friendships. Those scenes are my favorite. I like that Cal helped Desi feel more comfortable in her own skin. Their chemistry is good and their Firsts are fine.
The Bad and Everything in Between I signed up for this hoping for some good fat representation. Sometimes fat shaming that starts off a tale can be dealt with in a positive manner, and I did go in with high hopes that it wouldn’t be a constant through the story. Unfortunately, if you are sensitive to fat shaming, I’d say this is not the book for you. It starts right in the first chapter and it’s not a glancing blow, but more like a battering ram to your face. There’s a lot of casually cruel fat shaming, and sadly, a lot in Desi’s inner thoughts. It read more like what a fatphobic person thinks a fat person feels all the time, and it’s pretty brutal. Occupying that negative headspace was just not my cuppa. Desi is portrayed as a BBW heroine (Big Beautiful Woman), but it’s a case of perhaps one person’s BBW heroine is another’s average sized heroine? There are several scenes that referenced the heroine starting at a size six, and having weight issues her whole life, but then again, the clues to what size she was currently were inconsistent and stretched my credulity, as a BBW myself. I just wish the insults weren’t so random that it made me physically flinch on more than one occasion. There’s also inaccurate information regarding a character who has Type 1 diabetes that took me out of the story when reading those references.
Since this is a pretty low angsty read (the tension is primarily from the horrid ex), there’s not much of a story here. The jump from meeting to attraction is quick, which I don’t mind, but there’s little character work done to get from there to HEA. I kept having the feeling that I was missing something, because this has the feel of an ongoing ‘verse, and I didn’t realize until after I read this that it’s the second book in a series, and that series seems to be connected to other series of Ms. Vale’s that I haven’t read. It wasn’t something that I was aware of when I chose this, and I couldn’t tell that by the blurb when I signed up. I think it probably would have helped me to perhaps read some of the other, earlier books by Ms. Vale because I definitely felt like an outsider to this ‘verse.
Desi and Callum’s road to HEA is low angsty, funny at times and when family focused, pretty solid. It really was the fat-shaming that just took me right out of the story and brought down my rating. However, If you’re a fan of Ms. Vale’s writing, have no issues with this kind of trigger and are familiar with this ‘verse, this may work better for you than it did for me.

ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!! Oh my stars, this book! This woman! This MAN!!! How is it possible to fall in love so hard with this Valentine boys?! Crazy Heifer is intensely addictive and so overwhelmingly fulfilling, that I’m sure all the emotions, all the heartwarming feelings will stay for DAYS, and weeks with me! I’m utterly enchanted with Callum and Desi! So. Freaking. GOOD!!!
I knew going it, from the first book in the series, that the Callum and Desi’s story would be incredibly engaging, but I had no idea just how fast and hard I’d fall for it. I’m a LLV addict here, so her stories always captivate me, but this book, you guys… I never felt so intensely and instantly in love with a character like I did for Callum. He was just my epitome of PERFECT Alpha!
God, she was everything I ever wanted all rolled into one beautiful, boob and asstastic perfect package.
if I could tell her exactly what I was feeling, and have her believe it, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
Perfect I tell you, because his imperfections just made him more REAL and therefore endearing to be! I can’t even with how much this man owns my heart. My love for him is so great I’m warning you in advance that this review may because a bit of a raving omen to this cowboy deliciousness that is Callum Valentine. I make no excuses! LOL
Desi may have had to endure a cheating and POS ex-husband, – and omg, how disgustingly mean he was to her! – but when a perfect stranger comes to her rescue, and she sees just how genuine he is when he confronts her ex, with his appreciation of her body, and his desire to get close to her, all the pain the ex put her trough was worth it, to bring this hunk of man to her life.
He was now in sweats and nothing else. Let me repeat. Sweatpants and nothing else. Nothing. Else. Jesus Christ on a cracker.
What I loved too about Crazy Heifer is that not only do we get the amazing, fantastic, and uber hunky Alpha that is Callum, but Desi by herself was an amazing character, that even with her insecurities given by her ex, and the trust he broke in her, she not only fought for herself, for what she wanted, was strong and resilient, but at the same time as sweet as can be, which in turn made all the Valentine boys to fall for her and install welcome her to their little group of broken souls. They protect and loved their own. Fiercely!
Yes, funny how fate leads you to where you were meant to be.”
I had no clue I needed a hero until you showed up.”
He knows what it’s like to lose. He will hold on to you so tight that sometimes you’ll forget how it is to breathe without him. But you’ll also get him out of the shadows and into the light where he belongs.
Ok, ok, enough with my swoonfest over Callum (not really, lol)! Crazy Heifer was another brilliant masterpiece that proves yet again what a insanely talented story teller Lani Lynn Vale is. The family dynamic, the friendly banter, all the funny moments that balance perfectly with the deeply emotional ones, the forever kind of love that shone through in any of the couples interactions, and the sizzling hot sexy times between them, all this stays branded in our hearts not only while reading, but with a lasting satisfaction this good feeling remains and keep you wanting more and more. As consequence, I am, of course, already DYING for Banks and Candy’s! I need it right now!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
“I love you, Desi,” he said. “If you happen to get ready before I realize it, just let me know.”
“You’ve got me, baby. For however long you want me.”
Callum had given it all to me.

Hero has a especial thing for redheads, the sister was a redhead when she was a baby.. not that he’s into the sister but I’d think redheads would be the last woman he’d be into.
Let me be clear, I’m just saying that I think redheads would the least hair colored women he would be into. I don’t want certain “someone” saying I misconstrued the words. I know very well he’s not into his sister. Ok? Ok..
“had a special thing for redheads. My sister was a redhead when she was a baby. Not that I had a thing for my sister or anything like that, but she held a special place in my heart, and I’d always found myself gravitating toward them. In fact, my first girlfriend in eighth grade had been a redhead.” And heroine is a redhead.
Desi is recently divorced and is constantly taunted by her ex and his new woman any time she runs into them. Lucky for her Callum Valentine was nearby for the most recent event. Callum didn’t like seeing a woman being bullied and humiliated and stepped in to help out. Callum soon finds out he can’t stop thinking about Desi and decides to win her heart.
Desi is attracted to Callum but after a tense divorce and continued harassment from his ex she has her guards up and doesn’t know if she can trust again. Callum has returned home after years away, he didn’t want to return to the town where the most inconceivable tragedy occurred to him and his siblings, but he does at the request of his brothers. He accidentally stumbles upon a gorgeous redhead and decides he will have her.
Crazy Heifer is another great addition to Lani Lynn Vale’s Valentine series. I am absolutely in love with this family and their stories of rising out of the ashes of a tragedy to build beautiful lives for themselves.
Loved that he loved her for her size! He saw beauty in her as she was. I did expect more of a push/pull based on how her ex treated her and how their marriage ended BUT I can understand why she didn't put up much fight because he never gave her a reason to doubt him.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”Jesus Christ, but she was beautiful. Even pissed as hell, she did it for me.” . Callum intervenes when he hears a woman being called fat in front of his table. Desi just wants to be left alone after her divorce. But her ex continues to make her miserable. Callum claims her as his and their game turns into more and boundaries are crossed they didn’t see coming.✨ . If you love: •Cowboy Romance •Quick, easy reads •Steamy scenes •Light on drama •Dual POV Then this is the book for you!✨ . I’m really digging these Valentine men! Sweet and sexy at the same time! And they just dive all in and quickly. I flew through this book. It was light for the most part and easy to read. I felt this book really had a great take away message. Amongst all the swooning and steam! And yes, there was some hot burning steamy scenes. There was also lessons. And the power of family really shines through in this one.✨ . I feel like I can’t say too much without giving away the story. But it was a quick, light, hot, enjoyable read! This is Book 2 in The Valentine Boys Series and you seen a lot of the first books storyline in this one, back tracking a bit of you will. With the focus on this new couple! You also got to see a good glimpse into the storyline and characters in Book 3. That sounds like it’s going to be a good one as well!✨ . I received an ARC for my honest review.✨
I loved Desi and Callum in Crazy Heifer, they were both charming and funny. And they just clicked with me from the beginning.
What I didn’t care about was her ex-husband and all those hints about him learning the lesson, changing his ways in the future and most likely becoming a good guy. Don’t know if I would want to read a book about him, to be honest. All that fat-shaming turned me off very quickly.
I have become a fan of this author lately, and while normally I’m not much of a western romance reader, this one grabbed me with the synopsis and the snarky title. I have read a few more lately set in this kind of a setting, and so far I’ve enjoyed them for the most part. Now I have to say that something I do really like about this author is the way she writes her stories. It is a little different to me than other romances, in that we kind of go along just like life is. We don’t necessarily get all the day to day mundane details, but it is as if the story just unfolds. In a way it reminds me of how I kind of daydream. So it makes reading the stories like second nature daydreaming to me. I also really enjoy how I feel the characters talk and act very real. The different types of conversations between the guys and girls, the smart-ass comments the best friends make to each other, that the family members have their inside jokes and running teases of each other. And I love the big family all hanging out and spending so much time together, because it reminds me of my own family at times in the past, and still some times.
Now there is one type of act they do, and it’s not something I’m ever going to be interested in, even as much as this story tries to make it seem maybe okay, still, my only thought was shaking my head no and making a comment on my Goodreads update that no, I still had no desire to do that.
I feel like I want to go back and read the first book in this series so I know about that couple more than what I read in this book. And I look forward to more people in this family getting their own stories as well I hope!
Desi has made a vow to herself to never let her ex-husband get to her again. His constant criticisms about her appearance during their short marriage was enough. Desi decides that she is going to tackle a huge goal of getting fit and running a local event. When she ends up being the target of her ex and his new fiancee at the local restaurant she is having her last meal, well last unhealthy meal, she finds herself getting rescued by Callum Valentine.
Callum knows Desi needs time to get over her marriage but he also knows he wants to explore his feelings for Desi. When Desi is around everything feels right. Desi quickly realizes the same for Callum. However, her ex is having a hard time letting go and Desi is more determined then ever to follow her own path, of course with Callum by her side.
This was terrific, a bit of a tear jerker but I so identified with Desi. I thought her character was realistic and is one of my favorites this author has written about. Loved Callum he is a gentle giant until he is ticked off. Another fantastic read from this author.
Crazy Heifer delivers the next Valentine boy, Callum! I love that he swooped in to save our heroine from her super douche-y ex. He didn't even hesitate. After that, he quickly admitted he had feelings for her and continued to be her white knight.
Desi has a horrid ex and his new girlfriend is a wretched, hateful woman. So, they are perfect for each other, but they are brutal to Desi. Callum jumps right in when he sees them bullying her. Hello white knight! One minor issue I had with the story initially was that Desi seemed to need Callum to save her a lot. I wanted to see her as a strong woman and that was slightly diminished by her reliance on Callum. This was minor however.
The relationship between Desi and her ex-father-in-law was very interesting and unconventional. I thought that was really unique. It was a true dichotomy to see such a wonderful man have a son who was so awful. Because this is a "small town", everyone knows everyone and even Callum knows Malloy (the father) and has gratitude towards him. The relationships of people in the town is one of the things that will keep you reading. These people care for each other, even when they might not LIKE each other. Crazy Heifer is an enchanting story with a town full of interesting characters!
POV: dual 1st Tears: no Trope: crazy ex Triggers: none Series/Standalone: stand alone (although, you won't get Callum's family history fully if you don't read book 1) Cliffhanger: HEA:

First off this title is everything. I mean I've never met a more creative author when it comes to naming books that Lani Lynn Vale. Also I love the word heifer. It's one of those words that makes me laugh every damn time.
I mean just give me a man who's going to defend my honour before he's even my man. Lord have mercy Callum just got it right in all the best ways.
Desi is just going through a shift fest of epic proportions and near her witts end when Callum comes barrelling to her defence at the worst time in her life. When a man thinks it's appropriate to fat shame you it also means it's appropriate to junk punch him in the nuts so hard he ends up chewing his ballsack. Desi bless her heart is just the fucking sweetest though.
As characters both are extremely likeable right off the getgo. Desi being the hurt wounded one and Callum most definitely being her cowboy is well fitted wranglers saving the day. There is a nice balance between them and I feel like they most definitely brought out the best in eachother pushing one another to do better. It delves deep into them both individually as characters as well as together as a couple and I've got to say it's not surprise that I love them ALOT.
I love this series hard for many reason but mainly because of how invested I get in them and heir journey. Lani never fails to tie everything together seamlessly so not only to we have their romance that's blossoming but we also get a tonne of side characters that add so much life to an already bursting story making it so you could never get bored at any point whilst reading. I love that Desi had this natural ability to make people fall in love her. That calm caring sweet nature just pulled people in without much effort on her part. Callum was just that strong loyal sweet confident man that put her at ease immediately and brought out a confidence in her that was beautiful to see.
Crazy heifer is just one of those feel good sweet romancing kind of books combined with a lots of laughter and some crazy family shenanigans.
THIS! THIS STORY! This is why I love this author’s stories. Romance with humour, heart and family. One person loving another through it all – offering a shoulder to cry on and a giddy-up let’s roll when heads need knocking. Down to earth people who you sympathize with, cry and laugh with. And above all, love.
If you’ve read Herd That than the premise of this story is already known. And probably couldn’t wait to pounce on Desi and Callum’s story (just like me). Desi was determined to show her ex that he was behind her in all the ways that mattered. Even if it physically killed her to do it. That’s where Callum came in. He saw her struggling and wanted nothing more than to help. To offer that shoulder. And soon, he wanted a hella lot more than that!
They laughed, they sweated, they waged battle and it is was all glorious, steamy, delicious fun. Even when I got misty as life threw horrible curve balls (as it does), I smiled through tears because the emotion was just unbelievably, soulfully good. These Valentine boys know how to love their women and make even the worst, the best it could possibly be. Yup, this is swoony romance at its finest…
I loved Desi and Callum. They meet in a restaurant where Desi’s ex and his fiancé are trying their hardest to be a mean as possible to her and make her life hell. Callum thinks Desi is a beautiful woman and her ex must have been crazy to let her go and decides to help her even the score with her ex.
Desi’s husband had been cruel to her and her self worth had been badly damaged. Callum was determined to build her back up again by helping her work out for the race.
Another excellent addition to the series. Loved the bantering and the characters. The story was fun and entertaining.
Callum is real appreciative of his woman's attributes, “baby,” he said, his hands finally coming up to cup the heavy weights in his hand. “These things are lethal weapons. I never would’ve thought you could’ve fit all that gloriousness in that bra, but damn. You did a wonderful job.” Callum is a very touchy, feely man, "he pulled me in and laid a hot, wet kiss onto my lips before slapping my ***. “Something light.” I liked this book, I loved Callum.
Book 2 in Valentine Boys series by Lani Lynn Vale. Callum is at a restaurant and over hears Mal bad mouthing Desi about her weight her look so he instructs waitress to deliver his meal and Desi together on her table. Callum give Mal a ace dressing down and they enjoy a great meal. Absolutely love the duel narration between Maxine Mitchell and Sebastian York. Especially Sebastian York saying baby to Desi OMG so hot. Can’t get enough of this series
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I must confess, I hadn't made the connection between the Valentine brothers and their sister Georgia (whose story can be read in Double Tap) before Callum mentioned his past... And I regret not having read it earlier =)
I loved coming back to Kilgore and seeing Callum defend Desi against her horrible ex and then fall in love with her ! I really liked the way he supports her in all aspects of her life (the hatred of her body, her career, her bad moments ...)
I would have liked a little more drama (especially with her ex and his new wife !) but it didn't spoil anything for my reading =)
In short, a sexy and fun romance that can be read in no time !
PS: I can't wait to find out what's going on with Candy and Banks !
First things first; I love the cover of this book. Crazy heifer is the second book in the ‘’Valentine boys’’ series. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. Desidara is a recently divorced woman with an obnoxious ex husband. When Callum Valentine steps into a situation and helps her, a friendships starts. Said friendship soon turns to love. The chemistry between Desidara and Callum is clear to see and I loved them together. I thought they were perfect for one another. I loved Malloy. His love for Desidara was clear to see. I loved the bond between them. My heart broke for Desidara and Malloy. I hated Mal and Marjorie. I hated how they treated Desidara and everyone around them. I loved that Desidara achieved her goal. I was seriously cheering her on. I loved the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to dive into the rest of this series.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I loved Desi! I really did! This poor girl has the ex from Hades but she refuses to give in to him. I would have punched him in the face. So many times in this book book would I have punched him in the face. He really got on my nerves. Desi is full figured and doing her best to get fit enough to run a marathon. I am currently in that same position so I can relate to how difficult this is at times. Of course having her ex call her fat all the time doesn't help. Did I mention how much I hate him?
For as much as I hate her ex I love Callum that much if not more. From the moment he hears to ex call Desi fat, in public no less, he is ready to defend her. He thinks she is beautiful just the way she is. However I also love how much he supports want she wants to do and helps her with it.
There are plenty of sexy times in this book and I love how the Valentine boys all still live together in one house. I also love their reaction to Desi cooking. If you aren't familiar with the Valentine's let me bring you up to speed a little. When they were young they suffered a tragedy. Once in which their father killed their mother and two siblings as well as himself. However he attempted to kill all of his children. We learn of this in Georgia (Callum's sister) and Nico's book, Double Tap. It is mention again in this book. That event has left all of the Valentine children with scars and issues.
It defined the adults they would become. However, one things that I have noticed is that while they are broken, they are much stronger than I would think they should be. They came back to the town and farm where everything happened. They are making their own way and their own memories. They are making a stand together and saying their past isn't the sum of who they are. Everyone in town knows what happened to them and I can only imagine that has to be hard at times.
Desi and Callum could not have been more perfect together. They came together easily but then you have the crazy ex who honestly needs therapy. So you can just imagine the drama he brought to the mix. I loved Desi's former father in-law. I thought he was perfect and added so much warmth and love to the book. There were a few tear-jerking moments but all in all this was my favorite of the series so far. I have a sneaky suspension that the next book is going to claim that spot after I read it. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.This review was originally posted on Wickedly Romance
From the moment Callum Valentine stepped in and put the heroine’s arrogant prick of an ex in his place, I was 100% Team Callum and ready to see what he was prepared to do to claim Desi as his own, for real, not just to prove to Desi’s ex that she is beautiful inside and out and he let go of an amazing woman for a witchy gold digger. And the fact that her ex-husband seemed to want to embarrass and belittle her anywhere and everywhere he could, I was ready for that lying, cheating and all-around despicable human being to be put in his place and face the consequences of his mistreatment of a woman who deserves all the love and happiness she can get.
Loyalty is something that Desi didn’t have in her marriage to Mal, nor did she have a man who appreciated her for her, curves and all, so when she starts spending more and more time with Callum and his family, getting to know them and reveling in the love and respect they showed her, she couldn’t help but become smitten with all of them, which is a good thing, since once Callum figures out that she’s the girl for him, there’s no stopping him from doing everything in his power to prove just how amazing she is and just how worthy she is of his love, his time, and his faithfulness.
Callum and Desi were the perfect duo; they worked well together and kept one another on the right path - the one that would hopefully show both of them just how right they were for each other. I loved all of Desi’s interactions with all of the Valentines and just how comfortable she felt around them. They lift her up, let her know just how remarkable she is, and they accept and adore every single part of her, which is exactly what she needs after the callous words and actions of her ex.
The Valentine family is quickly becoming one of my favorite Lani Lynn Vale cast of characters because they have each other’s back at all times and they aren’t afraid to step into situations that they know are wrong in order to make them right. Desi’s journey to love herself and to feel comfortable in her own skin is not an easy one, especially with her ex seeming to be wherever she is just so he can ridicule and bully her. When one’s self-esteem is crushed, it’s difficult to regain those positive feelings, but as long as Callum’s by Desi’s side to keep moving forward, regardless of how slow that journey may be, she’ll get there and remember every struggle, every desire to quit, and every milestone she reaches to finally be free of her past and move forward with a man who makes her feel like the beautiful woman she is, inside and out.
I’m really enjoying Lani Lynn Vale’s Valentine Boys series. I’ve read all of her books, I know all the back stories, and I’ve been waiting for these characters’ stories to be told for a long time. The Valentines have a tragic history, and of all Vale’s characters, it’s very rewarding to see these boys get their happily ever afters.
Crazy Heifer pairs Desi, a newly divorced woman finding herself after an awful marriage to an unfaithful, narcissistic man. Her ex is horrible, and he seems to live to torment her. Callum rides in to her rescue during one run-in with him, and I fell hard for this couple right then and there. Where her ex tore her down, Callum builds her up. Desi is strong in her own right, and I loved her upbeat positive outlook. This couple was so sexy together, they were so supportive of each other, so right for each other.
Vale could have gone in a lot of different directions with the Valentine Boys series. Considering their heavy, painful past, I’m glad she’s taken a lighter approach in telling their stories. Full of heart, heat and humor, Vale turns heart-break in happily ever after with a sweet, sexy love story between a cowboy and a baker. I loved it. Five smooches from me for Crazy Heifer by Lani Lynn Vale! ~Danielle Palumbo
