This is such a riveting and intense read. You get sucked right in from the opening pages. I feel for Trey and Randi as they both navigate their positions within the government while harbouring such intense feelings for one another. The author throws in such a twist that you can’t help but commend Randi for being strong enough to accept all that is happening. That is the one major thing I love about Randi, regardless of all the s*i* thrown her way she still stands strong. Bring on book 3!!

My heart is racing. My mind is full of unanswered questions. I am on an emotional high created by Kennedy L. Mitchell's stunning writing in Power Twist. Once I started ,I could not come up for air as the story consumed me completely. What a fascinating tale of political games, breathtaking suspense and intense emotions!
Randi Sawyer is a true underdog success story. The so called rich and powerful people tried to stop her. But this brave and sassy woman has managed to get elected Madam Vice President of USA by sheer hardwork, endless struggles and of course with help of her special secret agent bodyguard aka soulmate Trey Benson. But the fight is far from over. She cannot be with Trey openly because of her political obligations. And her enemies won't rest till she is driven out of the politics. Dangers are everywhere. Unlikely allies will come forward. And Trey may need to make the ultimate sacrifice for Randi and his country.
I think Randi is one of the most real characters I have read recently. She may hold an important post but she is still that small town woman in her heart who doesn't take s**t from anyone and always listen to her heart. She can be impulsive and reckless but that's because of her fierce passion to do the right thing. The author shows her broken down, messed up, frustrated and desperate sides so beautifully! She is an honest creation. And Trey is making me fall in love for eternity. Seriously can this man be any more perfect? He is loyal and protective. He is kind, he is smart, he is arrogant with confidence and he is dangerous with lethal finesse. Their chemistry is out of this world. They are in an unusual and difficult situation where so many things are at risk including real lives. And they are navigating through the dark corridors of politics together. Their unity in middle of the confused state is just amazing. The author gave their connection so much angsty heartbreak with magnetic attraction! I was chewing off my nails all the time because the surprises and twists kept coming till the very last sentence.
Powe Twist by Kennedy L. Mitchell was a power packed performance. It was a mindblowing combination of sexy, thrilling and souldeep. This is the kind of amazing story that makes me wish it never eneded and crave for more!

This author with her cliffhangers! I love it! I can appreciate a good one-and her writing plays out like an amazing television show drama. You must read book 1 in this series first, which was also great writing-but book 2 was one of the best “edge of your seat” books I’ve read in a while. There’s so many moving parts to this story, and I have to appreciate how well this author planned it he whole series-especially this book out. I’m so excited to get more-I’ve fallen in love with this characters!

Here We Go Again...
When we last left our new secret power couple, they were trying to figure out how to make things work yet stay professional. While they are still together, a whole heck of a lot has changed around them. This review will contain spoilers for the first book.
Randi is VP in DC now, a real Vice President of the United States. She knew from the get go she would have her work cut out for her, however had no idea how low Kyle and Shawn were going to stoop. Our girl has to watch her back every second now, so it's a good thing Trey is still in his official position on the Alpha Team.
We've all heard how dirty politics are, including Randi and now she is getting a first hand look. She's from a small town in Texas, used as a pawn and now she needs to find a way to make what she campaigned for come to fruition. She's tired of being the fall guy for Kyle and wants to wield some of the power she earned. Enter Trey, DC's golden boy from years ago, little did we know.
I loved the fact that Trey, well his parents, carry some real weight in this town and because Trey has been around it his whole life, he knows the ins and outs of the dirty politics and hatches a plan to get madam VP where she needs to be. The only thing is, the collateral damage.
The book is once again well written and Kennedy L. Mitchell is doing a nice job at keeping her readers interested with little twists and turns throughout the book and setting the next one up. If I had one small complaint, it would be the nicknames. They are a little overused and sometimes I have to stop and remember who T, Trouble, Trey and Tank are.
Can't wait for the next one!

Kennedy L. Mitchell, author of cliff hangers, is killing me in the slowest, most painful way with her Power Play series. I decided to start this review while the wounds are still fresh, my heart is pounding and my mouth is dry. She is weaving a powerful story of love, lies, deception, and political upheaval. Omg, Power Twist is a captivating read. I never knew politics could be this good. Political power is the core of control within the US government. My heart breaks for Randi and Trey as they learn the politics of their own lives. The twists and turns that Kennedy Mitchell has written into this story will grab you when you least expect it, keep you reading, and wanting more all at the same time.
Randi and Trey have a chemistry that is omnipresent even when they cannot be together. Randi is a fighter to the core. She may be inexperienced in the political arena but she fights for what she believes in. Trey is the ultimate protector, even if that means keeping his hands on Randi. Until neither of them can withstand each other’s absence. Both of the will do whatever it takes to get what they want, even if they have to sacrifice part of themselves.
Kennedy Mitchell has written a political romance that keeps getting better with each book. Power Twist is book 2 out of 5 in the Power Play series. As the story builds, the stakes get higher both politically and personally for Randi and Trey. I cannot wait for the release of Power Switch (Book 3) to see their story to continue with all of its twists and turns. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. Ok it's official.
I've found another suspense unicorn author.
When I read my first book by this author I had a sneaking suspicion it was heading to this call, but having just finished my fourth book by her it's obvious.
Book 2 in series was just as gripping and head exploding as the first if not more so, with more witty banter thrown in between making sure that this series will be a top list/favourite series of readers of all tastes.

But with Kyle promising a major roadblock for her along the way, will she be able to survive and prove herself in the first year of her tenure?
Trey is there for her every step of the way. But the extent to which he's ready to go to help Randi, what if it all backfires on his personal life? And with Randi's baby daddy vying for her attention, he might just have a new competition to contend with.

This book was a twist all right! What a rollercoaster of a ride! I liked this one more than the first one. While the first book in the series - Power Play - was about Randi entering the political arena as a running mate for the slimy Kyle Birmingham, this one's about her first year as the VP of the USA.
The story starts where the first book left off with a prologue in the first-person narration from Kyle Birmingham's perspective, the antagonist we loved to hate in Book One. But now, who exactly is he? And how dangerous? The rest of the story is from Randi's and Trey's perspective, thank f*** (saying that in typical Randi style!). The entire journey is of roughly seven months, and what interesting seven months they are.
I have something about names, and finally, I got to know T for Tank that is Washington's name! In the first book, it seemed more play and less work, though there was that one attack. But in this one, it gets more thrilling, with scheduled tours and international power plays along with the added responsibility of being the first female VP out there whom everyone's trying to undermine. And now, Russia is involved too. Isn't it always? Though there's a really interesting and a totally different angle the author played with here. But I'm glad that we got to see both sides of Randi, the strong, invincible one as well as the vulnerable, self-doubting one. Aren't we all like that? Dodging minefields while trying to navigate the maze of life!
Trey and Randi's secret affair is still going strong and well...totally secretively...except the alpha team knows, of course. Theirs is a camaraderie I love! Especially T, Trey and Randi. And you know what I would love more? Sarah the marine and Davis Washington's story! They are such a cute couple, hot couple! Not that I am complaining about Randi and Trey, their story is hot and dirty af.
There are some new revelations and a more dangerous angle. We're also introduced to Trey's political family and how manipulative they can be. Randi is such a relatable character, she hates the cold, she hates exercising, and there are many other things, like how sassy as hell she is. The story ends on a suspenseful note, which promises a great beginning for Book Three – Power Switch: Power Play Series Book 3.

Randi Sawyer thought she was prepared for her job ahead of her as Vice President but oh was she wrong. Her heart and mind are put to the test as she tries to survive in the political world. She finds herself in a world where an unknown wants her dead, unlikely figures reaching out for an alliance and those closest to her keeping secrets. At the same time Randi and Trey try to keep their feelings to themselves but their connection is too strong to fool those closest to them. In the end, Randi has to make hard decisions and choose between what her heart wants or whats right for her country.
"My heart begs me in one direction while my mind, focused on my political career, tugs me another. Which one do I listen to?"
Book 2 in the Power Play series is definitely a page turner. It doesn't have any lag in the story line and keeps the suspense and anticipation strong. Let's not forget the hot as sin intimacy scenes between our main couple. Randi and Trey have more than a few memorable scenes between them, particularly one in the bathroom that is 🔥🔥🔥

Wow! What a great read! Power Twist is suspenseful, intense, and somewhat steamy. The plot was fast paced, action packed, and interesting; I was mesmerized within a few pages. I read the book in one sitting and did not want to stop.
Despite the fact that the danger to Randi continues to escalate, she keeps her humor. She is so funny, especially when she suddenly says something aloud that she was thinking about, like using unicorns as weapons. Although she is just as offbeat as ever, I like seeing her become both mentally and physically tougher in this book.
Trey is tough and a force to be reckoned with, especially with his military training. He’s a stereotypical alpha male with a heart of gold. I melted when he showed his protective side for Randi.
I loved getting to know Tank better in this story and to see his relationships with both Trey and Randi evolving. It was fun to see a glimpse of his wife as well. I wish I had more of his back story!
I wasn’t ready for the book to end because I need to know what happens next. Now I’m anxiously awaiting book three!

Power Twist is just raw and dirty, chalked full of twists and turns. When I say dirty, I'm talking the politics. The suspense that is created in this world kept me on my toes and keep me begging for more.
If you haven't read Power Play, you must read that first. This picks up after Randi has become Vice President. She's in a man's world full of corruption and deceit but she is the light that they didn't know they needed.
I never knew what her enemies were going to do and her strength in each situation had me fist pumping. Yeah, I'm that person. Add in hot secret service and of course I'm salivating.
I will admit that I got a bit nervous because I felt like there was so much more to be done but I'm delighted to say that there is more! Obviously there is so much more to Randi and Trey's story and I can't wait to see what insane crap happens coming up. You definitely need to give this series a try!

5 VOTE STARS!! OMG....I love Randi and Trey and I am dying right now. This series has been amazing and different from my normal reads. My feels are all over the place right now. I need Book 3.....like right now. Kennedy L. Mitchell knows how to write a political romance thriller to keep you flipping pages.

REVIEW: POWER TWIST is the second instalment in Kennedy L. Mitchell’s contemporary, adult POWER PLAY romantic, political suspense series. This is the continuing story of attorney/vice president Randi Sawyer, and thirty-eight year old, Secret Service agent Trey Benson. POWER TWIST should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one POWER PLAY.
Some background: Months earlier Randi Sawyer became the vice-presidential running mate to Kyle Birmingham, a man whose dirty politics run deadly and deep but in doing so Randi has angered a very powerful man who is determined to destroy our story line heroine.

Power Twist is worth more than five stars in my opinion.
First off if you have not read book one, Power Play, please read it first. You will need to, in order to understand Power Twist.
Kennedy has done such a great job of leaving me in knots!!! I am all over the place with this one. So many twists and turns, and might as well add a few more twists while your at it. But I love this brilliant mind of yours Kennedy. The plot, the characters, the just when I think I have things figured out, BAM!!! No you don't!! The writing is so next level on this, my mind is blown. I cannot think clearly, I feel like I am all over the place. I really need book three but have to wait until April, better believe I looked.
If you do not read very much, make this series the top priority. If you do read a-lot, but haven't picked up this series, please do!! I promise you will not regret it!!! If you have read this series and are caught up!!! We need to start a support group until book three comes out!!!

I absolutely love this series!!! Power Twist is the 2nd book in the Power Play series. It is absolutely not a stand-alone novel so you will need to read Power Play before reading this one.
Power Twist picks up where Power play left off and I was drawn back into the story from the first word. Randi and Trey’s chemistry is still explosive and they made me laugh, cry, and tore out my heart. Randi’s still learning to cope with the heartlessness of DC politics while fighting to hand onto to the strong, independent woman that she has always been. Trey does everything he can to protect her even while breaking his own heart. I can just feel the emotion coming from these two.
The villains are so frightening because you can imagine this stuff happening in today’s world and let me tell you it is easy to hate them. I was breathless from all the intrigue and behind the scenes dealing. I cannot wait for book 3 to see what happens next!!!

Damn....I thought I was blown away with Power Play but Kennedy just upped the stakes beyond imagination with Power Twist! Randi and Trey are hot together, he has her back and then some while protecting her while on the job and proving who’s boss in private.
Espionage, power, playing the political games are all built into one hell of a story! Picking up right at the end Power Play, Power Twist continues with Randi now the VP, under the gun to prove who she is and what she stands for. She’s in the fight of career, not knowing who to trust or not, while falling head over heals in love with Trey. Trey ups his game by making a deal with the devil, or mother dearest, to help Randi and the ramifications could be their end.
Kennedy is killing me with these books, giving us cliffhangers that have me wanting to shout out loud and throw my kindle! Power comes at a price and I can’t wait to see where she goes with book three!

Kennedy Mitchell continues her dramatic series with Power Twist. A sexy, suspenseful, 5 star novel built on the cunning and deceipt present in Washington DC.
Randi Sawyer, now vice president of the United States, will figure out really quickly that it's not just the president who doesn't want her standing as the second most powerful person in the world. And the man who is potentially the love of her life might screw the whole thing up making deals with one of the most deceitful people in politics, but he is doing everything to help Randi be succesful so that makes it all ok. Or does it?
Once Randi knows everything will she continue the hard work alone, or will she try to make her own deals?
One of the best romantic suspense novels I've read in the last few years. An absolutely beautiful book with a stunning cliffhanger at the end. Worth well over 5 stars, I can't wait to read Power Switch in April of 2020!

This is one seriously suspense packed drama & had me shaking my fist at the author in the middle of the night & cursing her & her plot twists!

Randi and Trey, where do I even begin??? This story gets better and better. With all the new twists and turns that were introduced it was impossible to put it down. Power Twist sucked me in from page one and there was no stopping me. Usually with a series, I have to go back and skim the last couple chapters of the previous book, not with Power Twist. I was able to pick right up with no confusion, this shows how well this story is being written. Honestly can not wait until the third one in this series.

Kennedy L. Mitchell, author of cliff hangers, is killing me in the slowest, most painful way with her Power Play series. I decided to start this review while the wounds are still fresh, my heart is pounding and my mouth is dry. She is weaving a powerful story of love, lies, deception, and political upheaval. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Power Twist is book two in Trey and Randi's story and it is a wild ride! The writing and storyline continue to be just a strong and addicting as book one. Secrets, lies, betrayal, mystery and suspense are layered on thick in this book keeping you guessing who you can trust and whats going to happen. Trey and Randi are crazy hot together. Their relationship has taken an expected turn and I can not wait to see where it goes in book three!!

This series just got better! Randi is getting tougher and trying to figure out how to stay where she is and wanting to be the best she can be to protect her promises to the voters has been more than a challenge. As all the cards start to slowly unfold, Randi and her team find ways to stay on focus and one of the most challenging is finding her way with Trey. Great series and looking forward to whats to come.

Kennedy L. Mitchell just upped her game in the 2nd book of this romantic suspense series! I could not wait for more from these characters and this author delivered them and then some. I was riveted to the pages from the beginning to the end. I loved every second of the banter, wit, suspense, and the twists and turns. KL Mitchell is not holding back with this series, and I am obsessed with it. I'm ready for Book 3 which is coming soon! Well done once again KL Mitchell!

Randi is back in Power Twist and although they are trying to dress her up she is still her fabulously outspoken self. I love her character and how she is trying so hard to hold true to who she is. With all the political secrets and rules and deals to be made it is quite a book. Trey as always is there but not and I loved how their non relationship is developing. Looking forward to reading the next book!

This is the second book in the series and book one has to be read first.
Randi Sawyer is the newly elected Vice President but that doesn’t make her life any easier and soon she realizes that her life is still in danger and most likely coming from either the President, Kyle Birmingham, himself or the man that was supposed to be Vice President, Shawn Whitt.
But Randi believes as long as she has her secret service beside her that she is going to be relatively safe and vows to do the job she was elected to do.
Yet soon Randi sees that she has limited power and when Kyle proposes a new bill that Randi strongly objects to she needs to do whatever it takes to defeat him. When her former lover and secret service agent Trey Benson realizes what he needs to do to protect Randi, is he willing to lose her love to save her career?
This is such a great book and I am loving the series and excited for what’s to come!
I love Randi and think she is an amazing character that is so far in over her head but she is good and her intentions are incredible so you keep wanting her to succeed. I hated that she made an awful deal with Kyle where her career was in danger as Kyle was pure evil and the bill he was proposing was awful. I just felt bad for Randi as she really didn’t have much of a chance to succeed as Kyle had her off doing so many other things.
I love Trey as well and he cared so much about Randi but he knew he had to keep his distance but at a certain point he just couldn’t. He had to protect her with his life and was willing to do so but at a certain point he knew he had to do what he didn’t want to do in order for Randi to succeed in her job.
There were quite a few twists that I wasn’t expecting – especially from the Russians. I knew why Randi was leary but soon it was evident whose side they were on and how far they would go to protect their own interests.
Towards the end of the book my heart broke for both Trey and Randi when I realized what Trey was willing to do and I was so mad at Jessica for what she did. I can’t believe how evil Trey’s mom is and I am hoping at the end she gets what she deserves as I am so mad at her right now!
I am super curious on what Randi is planning as at the end I wasn’t too sure where she was headed after her conversation with Trey’s mom!
The very end left me with my jaw on the floor with the meeting that Tank set up for Randi!!
Can’t wait for the next one!
