Meghan

I don’t belong here.
A BDSM club isn’t a safe place for an unattached Omega.
I should know better, but I can’t help myself.
He’s just too perfect an Alpha to resist.

*

Daniel

She’s so sweet and vulnerable,
I can hardly stand it.
She needs a real Alpha to show her how it's meant to be.
She may not wear my mark,
but she’ll wear my collar.

***His Willing Omega is a novella length Omegaverse/BDSM romance. It is a work of fiction meant for adults. While the relationship between the main characters is consensual, it will contain aspects of power exchange. Merel Pierce was born and raised in the Midwest, USA. Ever the country girl, her hobbies have evolved to include nature photography, animal care, and exploring the great outdoors.

She is a crafter/art hobbiest, who spends her time writing, working on art projects, and keeping her two rescue dogs; a Schipperke mix and a Jack Russel, out of trouble.

She has always been drawn to the duality of life, learning early on to appreciate both the light and the dark of what the world has to offer. She believes there is beauty and meaning to be found in both the struggles and joys life brings and strives to share that with her writing.

Merel most enjoys writing dark, complex tales with raw, realistic characters. Her stories may not always close with a happy ending, but she will always make you feel something by the time it's done. Whether that feeling is horror or happiness, you'll have to wait and see...

This was not at all what I was expecting when I picked up this book. It was a nice twist to the usual omegaverse fair, where the alpha in this case, was respectful and made sure it was all consensual with his omega. An enjoyable quick read, and would def want to read more about them in future.

Gawd, Daniel was such a sexy alpha. He was sneaky, dare I say masterful in the way he worked Meghan (and me 😜). The build up between them was like

Not just Yes, Alpha, but yes please and thank you very much Alpha!

This is a short read that managed to provide some great world building alongside making me fall in love with both Daniel and Meghan. Whilst Daniel is all alpha and Meghan an omega, this is not the dark omegaverse worlds we are more familiar with. Instead this is a BDSM story, heavy on the consent, lighter on the kink and chock full of heat. I adored this opening episode, which could in theory be read as a standalone, since it ends on a HFN note. However once you've experienced the sheer smexiness that is Daniel, and the beautiful soul that is Meghan you will not only want, but will also need, to follow their story until the end.

Meghan is a total newbie to the scene, so I felt that Daniel's insistence on taking things slowly was perfect. I just know that the heat level will increase ten-fold in the next book, and Daniel will push Meghan to the very edges of her limits. I don't want to spoil anything but there is a beautiful example of not only how consensual all activities are, but the depth of caring that Daniel showed to the relatively inexperienced Meghan, towards the end of the book. When you get to the piece of black fabric you'll know what I mean. To my mind this was perfect, allowing Meghan to build trust with a man who was still relatively a stranger to her.

The book is written third person and, even though view points change fairly often, I never struggled with knowing which character I was following. Best of all the dual point of view really allowed me to get a feel of both characters, seeing the desperate loneliness of an isolated and misunderstood omega and the dominant but deeply caring nature of the alpha who was called by her. I just hope Merel Pierce cracks on with writing the next book as I already have a Daniel and Meghan shaped hole in my heart.

Great start to a new series. This is a very different take on Omegaverse than the usual stories. In this world, Omegas have rights and are protected by laws. No longer are they forced to pair bond, or kidnapped and abused. There is the purring and growling that I love, but it isn't used to force the Omega into an unwilling sexual reaction. This story is basically BDSM for Omegas and Alphas, with all the safe, sane and consent that it values. Meghan found herself unknowingly in a BDSM club, when a supposed friend brought her there to get admission, since anyone who brought one was allowed admission into this exclusive club. She ditched her and Meghan found herself in the clutches of a man who was set to ignore all the rules. She was rescued by Daniel, who was immediately attracted to her. And that is how their journey begins. Daniel is a perfect Alpha and a great character. Meghan is also well written and enjoyable. I can't wait to see where their story takes them.

For a novella, this was fine. I selected it randomly from my KU list and tried it out. I didn’t mind the concept, and I appreciated that despite the length of this it was pretty slow burn (as slow as 108 pages can take you).

There is no sex in this book but they do other things. I’m assuming the second instalment goes further but I’m not entirely interested.
Calling his groin “meat” and her butt “globes” kinda of ruined it for me. Call it what it is or stick to the attractive words, I don’t want mounds, meat and globes in my erotica.

Loved the consent and respect in this book though. Pretty rare to see from an alpha.

This was a cute (I know really - a cute omegaverse romance?!) novella which was different from any omegaverse story I read. Coming off the author's other story, December, I was surprised at the change in tone.

This is a short novella where our heroine finds herself in a BDSM club unknowingly. She is saved by our lovely Alpha hero - who is more patient and kind than I would have expected giving the genre. This book serves as a lovely antidote to the scene in Fifty Shades of Grey where the couple discuss the BDSM lifestyle.

I would have rated this higher if the book hadn't ended so abruptly. I understand this will be a series of book featuring the couple, which I am looking forward to but this book ended on a bit of a short shrift. A chapter more could have smoothened this out a little more for my taste.

Still I think this author is one to watch out for. I enjoyed both her books even if they were not exactly to my taste.

Omega Meghan unwittingly finds herself in a BDSM club; Alpha Daniel comes to her rescue. The two soon sign a BDSM contract and then...it ends.

This is hard to rate because A) It's a novella so there isn't much development, and B) It ends in an HFN (though the sequel, Please, Alpha, does have a not-too-distant release date). I would say that if you're looking for a mild, consensual Omegaverse story set in our contemporary world featuring two likeable characters, you'll probably enjoy this. Given its abbreviated length, the plotline and character types are pretty basic (indeed, there's little conflict), but I was interested enough that I'd certainly read the next book.

3 1/2 stars. I appreciated the emphasis on consent and the self-reflexivity; I did feel that there was too much detail in the wrong places (how the contract was printed out, for example) and not enough in the right (more kink scenes), and it needed one more proofing to cull the typos.

This was a much different take on Alpha and Omegas than I have typically read. It tied together BDSM and Omegaverse in a refreshing way. The focus seemed to mirror a Dominant and Submissive role and focused on the importance of trust. This wasn't a forced mating or pair bond but instead was nurturing and understanding of how to find the balance.

The author did an exceptional job with characterization. I felt the emotions and understood the thought processes of both Daniel and Meghan. The storyline was detailed and well thought out down to the explanation of the relationship that they were entering. My only complaint was that it was short. It was just starting to get really good when the book ended. I look forward to reading more of this series when it continues.

It still boggles my mind that this is only the second book by this author. She is truly gifted and always has me devouring her words from the beginning to the very last page. She is definitely one of my favorite author discoveries of this year.

If you're thinking to yourself, that if you've read one Omegaverse then book you've read them all. Think again. If Omegaverse is your thing, then you pretty much know what to expect in the Dystopian realm. Right? Wrong! A shy and otherwise reserved, overly cautious Omega is finally talked into letting her hair down to have a little fun, but this isn't just any ordinary fun this is an exciting yet dangerous kind of fun. Convinced to take a chance and attempt to step out of her everyday boring self-imposed prison; that she calls her life for the chance at having a real friend and to fit in. Megan finally agrees to stow her fears and is taken out of her comfort zone to a world she never saw coming, it is hedonism objectified. Things aren't quite at all what you'd expect and they start to turn left very quickly. Merel decided to change the game up and put a whole new spin on this and change life as we know it in this genre, one totally unheard of. Who would ever imagine, Megan a shy and scared of her own shadow Omega with a choice of being dominated, such a thing is unheard of. Merrill Pierce has certainly changed the game as far as omegaverse is concerned. This story totally took me by surprise. The storyline and background on the Omega and her family pull you right in and make the story so believable. I've never heard any such actions being taken or even considered in the omegaverse genre. Our Omega Meagan, knows exactly what it feels like to be embarrassed and have her heart broken to a point of locking herself away from the world. One night of temptation. One night of pulling herself out of the security blanket of her nest, knocks her world off of its axis. This whole thing may have been the biggest mistake of her life! But then again......

If you love the Omegaverse world as much as I do, then this is a must read. Daniel is my perfect Alpha. He’s strong, powerful, handsome, and such a gentleman and maybe there is still some mystery with him. I love Meghan’s personality, yes she might be a bit of an introvert but so am I I! Lol! I love her straight forward quirkinesses, she’s smart and cautious considering how she had been taking advantage of in the past. Merel Pierce is an exceptional writer, this is the second book of hers that I’ve read. There are very few authors that I can say are exceptional, when reading a book it has to draw my attention from the beginning and not drag on and on just to make the story longer than it needs to be, but I will be honest I could read a lot more of Daniel and Meghan. By the way if you haven’t read Her other book ‘The Sacred Omegas’ I suggest you should, you definitely won’t regret it!

Fantastic Story!

This is a fantastic start to what seems like is sure to be a very sweet and intense BDSM love story series. The way these two characters first find each other is so sweet and heartwarming. Then the way they slowly get to where they need to be together is slow burn but wonderful. You can’t help falling in love with these two. They are definitely made for each other and I can see their future to be intense and very hot and steamy.

Great writing. The author definitely knows how to keep you fully enthralled and entertained with the story. Loved it.

Terrific OV book with BDSM

This is a terrific OV book that has lot of the action taking place in a BDSM club and this is the first time I have ever read an OV book like this. I think it is pretty interesting to have a BDSM club in a OV setting and I am looking forward to the next book in the series by this writer because of it. I thought that this book was a bit steamy and I am given to understand that the next book will be more steamy, yeah sounds good. I recommend this book.

I loved it! Merle writes a great tale. If you are new to the kink club this book will show you the way. Meghan’s introduction to it is sweet and hot. I am in love with Daniel Thomas. This is an omegaverse story presented in today’s world. I recommend this book for everybody 18 and older. Thanks Merle! Keep writing.

Good writer

I love this author and this book was wonderfully written... however, I much prefer the darkness of her sacred omega books. This one was a little light and would be the same s&m book if you removed the A/ O dynamic altogether...

This was another fantastic story by Merel Pierce, and I really enjoyed it! Her Omega, Meghan, was shy, wary, recovering from heartbreak. The Alpha, Daniel, was one of the most patient, kind, and honorable Alphas I think I’ve ever read about. Due to Meghan’s nervousness about dating following her previous failed relationship, she was only willing to meet Daniel at his bdsm club. But the heat between the two of them was searing, and she found it exceedingly difficult to resist him, despite her misgivings. It was such a super-sweet story! But I found myself wishing it had been longer. I was pouting because their relationship was just starting, and I wanted to see where it went. Later I noticed on Amazon that Alpha, Please (book #2) is out now! And, then I read the author’s Afterword and learned she is planning to write more on Daniel and Meghan! I am firing up my laptop to get Alpha Please now!

Merel Pierce is truly an amazing author! She presents a different take of the Omega-verse theme. Book 1 of Yes, Alpha introduces the readers into a world of bdsm, and Pierce has done an outstanding job in setting up and laying down the basis of the context so that the readers will have a clear and solid understanding of the world that she has built.

If you are looking for something new in the Omega-verse category, I highly recommend giving this book a try. The relationship formed between the protagonists are slightly different from other commonly seen relationships observed in other omega-verse books. Firstly, the relationship starts of with the basis of trust and consent, between Meghan and Daniel, as they both explore their sexual desires together. If you are looking into reading a book with right amount of plot and kink, this one is for you! And those who are thinking of exploring books of this category, you may want to consider reading this book if you are more comfortable with mild omega-verse scenes. But be warned! This is just the 1st book of the series, Merel Pierce will definitely bring in the steam as the series continues, but she will definitely do it with style! That being said, I look forward to reading Book 2 and seeing how this sweet relationship continues on!

Akh! Lord save me from milquetoast heroines! I would have rated this novella much higher if it wasn’t for Meghan. She had the personality of a wet blanket. She was shy, insecure, and timid; constantly wringing her hands, tearing up at the smallest things, and stuttering.

I read this book for a few reasons: I love omegaverse books, I love BDSM books, and I loved this author’s other book, December. One of the reasons I loved “December” so much was because of the heroine. She was an Omega but she kicked ass! Even after a lot of bad stuff happened to her, she didn’t turn into a whimpering idiot. I was hoping for more of the same with this book, but with a BDSM twist! Unfortunately, it did not deliver. I get that Meghan is a submissive and an Omega, which meant she had to be somewhat subservient to the Alpha, but that didn’t mean she had to be so timid and scared of her own shadow. Every time she stuttered, I found myself rolling my eyes. Also, the book very light on the BDSM aspect, with just a bit of vanilla bondage and some spanking (5 spanks to be exact, which of course made Milquetoast-Meghan cry).

I did like Daniel though. He was an Alpha, but not an as$hole. The one scene between Daniel and Meghan was good (although on the vanilla side of BDSM). I think this series has potential. I’m hopeful that Meghan will grow as a person and stop having such abysmally low self confidence after some time with Daniel. I do wish that there was more to this novella. I think there could have been one or two more chapters, rather than just ending the story so abruptly. It ended so suddenly, it might as well have ended mid sentence. I know it’s a continuous series, but I think there could have been more to this particular book.

Not sure, but got #2

A quick read, hoping next book is a bit better.

Meghan an Omega is tricked by her so called friend, into going to a BDSM club. Once there, she is approached by a rather nasty Alpha male. She tries to get away but he is bigger and stronger than her. Along comes Daniel, another Alpha male who just happens to have a position of power at the club and is talk, dark and handsome.

He rescues Meghan and takes her to a room in the club that is safe and gets to know her a little. He wants to see her again, but she’s not sure if she wants to be involved with another Alpha male, as her last partner hurt her. Meghan is very attracted to him though and when they kiss, she knows she wants more.

Daniel sounds perfect, i think I could be persuaded into anything by him 😆

Daniel sends Meghan home in a taxi as he promised after they share a kiss and gives her his business card, asking her to contact him. His scent is on the card and after a week she gives in and arranges to him at the club, to discuss where it goes from there.........

So...when I found out that the author was releasing book two and I've missed book one, I made a dash to get caught up. Totally not disappointed at all. Only disappointed I didn't look at her backlist since I started to read her books. I loved how protective the Alpha was of the Omega, even before getting to know her. You just can't help falling in love with him. And our Omega, she's got some backbone, even if she did seem like a pushover from the beginning. But that's understandable, with her in a new place and trying to get herself comfortable in her new life. I can't wait to see what happens next in book too. Lots of HOT promises!

Yes. Yes. And yes. Give me more..

Daniel..Daniel...Daniel.. Where can I get one of these? Haha this little novella was amazing. Meghan stumbled upon this alpha. Literally. And was hooked from the start. I loved how caring he was and confident. True alpha dom form all the way. He was gentle but form and walked her through every step without compromising his control or authority. Such a great little read that left me satisfied and yet wanting more at the same.

Awakening

Meghan was going to a club with a co-worker. Little did she know what kind of club it was. She was an Omega and though the rules changed she was hesitant as it was a sex club. Her friend ditched her and she was accosted by a man. Daniel first he smelled her and followed it and saved her. He wants more from her. They eventually negotiate a contract between them. Off to a good start. TBC series.

I started this book with lots of expectations because I’ve never read such a book set in the Omegaverse✨

But it didn’t have the power to suck you into the book and make you interested.
Yes, the conversations and the characters were well-written but their was something that was missing, I couldn’t quite place it but this had a lot of potential.

though, I did love the twist to the regular Omegaverse genre, I would have liked if there was actually a little plot.

Sweet omegaverse

A lot of mf omegaverse has a bad rap, but if you’re curious about the omegaverse world, this book is a great place to start if you want to avoid the dark stuff. Completely consensual and even sweet, it’s unique compared to many, but still had the intense heat between the characters. Looking forward to the next one.

Sweet Start with Lots of Potential

Meghan and Daniel, has fate brought them together? Likely, but lets see where the journey takes us. Thanks Merel, your story has started well. Can't wait to see how Daniel can help Meghan overcome her past demons and give her trust and heart to a Dominant. Book 2 is in my library and if I guess correctly, more will probably follow.

Wonderful!

If you like BDSM and the Alpha/Omega dynamic then this book is for you. Willingness, negotiating, the whole nine yards. Meghan is to the BDSM, so we have that troupe to deal with. It's really sweet so far.

Much to my horror I've realized the two books are less than eighty pages each. Both have cliffhangers. I'll wait to read more when the full series is out.

I love this author!

I received Claiming his Myshka for free and have been hooked ever since. I really like that the Alpha/Omega dynamic isn't so brutal in these books. There is, of course, dominance and submission but it is earned not taken. I truly can't wait for the next one!

Loved the dynamic between them. Definitely ready for more of their relationship. I loved how kind yet possessive he was. Refreshing to read about an Alpha that was so respectful.
