An instructional book about icebergs for children who "want to know". I learned some things about icebergs that I didn't know! For example, "bubbles of air form in an iceberg, and when they break, anyone near hears a loud boom". Also, seals and polar bears find caves or holes made into icebergs when the ice melts or the iceberg scrapes land.

My five-year-old selected this book as a read-aloud, and she was completely fascinated by the sinking of the Titanic. Titanic information does comprise about half of the book, but it also explains how icebergs are formed and what they are like above and below the surface of the water. The fact that the word danger was in the title was also appealing to my daughter, as she loves adventure stories.
