They injected me with a VR chip, a GPS tracker, and my first Seed. They gave me unbelievable powers.
Then they sent me to fight.
The monsters here are alien and vicious. There is a second moon in the sky. I watched a tree start moving and kill someone. And the other Players...?
They're even worse.
I’m alone. I’m weak. And I’m scared. But I will cling to life by the tips of my bloody fingernails.
Who is behind this twisted game? Where are they sending us? Is there anyone I can trust?
If I want to survive, I have to get stronger. But can I do it before the Game kills me?

What readers have to say:
"I freaking loved this book, it had me hooked from page one. I actually had to pace myself and force myself to take breaks to go to sleep because I would get so wrapped up in reading I didn't want to stop." ★★★★★
"This is an absolutely fresh take on the litRPG genre and the author weaves a compelling tale of suspense, action, mystery, sadness, death, and even aliens into the story. How can anyone resist such a story?" ★★★★★
"Every now and then you find a book that just wants to keep you from going to work in the morning (especially if you stayed up most of the previous night reading) They're rare enough that when you find them you want to tell others about them. This is me telling you to read this book, you won't be sorry!" ★★★★★
Azalea Ellis loves to bend the world to her will. Maybe that's why she likes writing books. Creating worlds and people and then sending them through every ordeal imaginable might even give her some kind of sick thrill. Who knows? Azalea is also an artist, so perhaps she just likes taking things from her head and bringing them to life. Because of her artistic background, she's lucky enough to also be able to do all of her own book covers, and does freelance illustration when she feels like it. She's fascinated by almost everything, and wishes she could live to be a thousand, so she would have time to learn and do everything she wants.
It was OK, certain things didn’t add up but overall OK. I don’t understand why people think highschoolers, poor high school is at that, can take down corporations. I understand why the author did what they did, however I don’t understand why the author chose high schoolers as opposed to college kids, who actually have a shot. Somethings just didn’t add up, like how excepting the parents were about the kids disappearing. According to the story, parents were upset and everybody wondering where the kids are but nobody did anything, at least not the beginning of the book. Lastly, I don’t understand how they can all meet up and talk about taking down the corporation, etc. Especially with GPS trackers the mediators that are supposedly following them and making sure they’re not even talking about it with non-players. All the sudden the mediators are going to be on board with the idea of taking down the corporation? Nobody says anything? I also don’t understand the levels, there was no system in place that explain the levels at least through the first 20% of the book. I just couldn’t get into it.
Hard to put down! Something for everyone ! The good guys get better, but will they be in time? There are many different monsters and truly terrifying moments. There are evil people that unfortunately succeed in mean and painful ways. Will Eve be able to band with and lead others to win and survive? Enjoy!
Twist and turns and for a while I couldn't figure out where this ride was going and now at this point still don't. Interesting characters. Interesting plot lines.
I read a lot. Authors like this stand out like gems amid dross. Get the books and see if you agree with me. My wife is peeood again - I'm reading nonstop and not paying attention to her!🤣🤣🤣
With this collection consisting of the first two books in this series, the long runtime could either be a positive due to the good value or a negative if the pacing of the story dragged, luckily for this book it tends towards the former with a story that opens strongly with good pacing and escalation throughout.
In a lot of these type of books, the real world is very quickly disregarded with the game world taking centre stage, but that is not the case with this book where the "game world" is also a real (but alien) world and the levelling also alters the players in reality. The intrigue and issues build rapidly for both locations with some surprising developments adding additional links between the two as well.
The narrator does a good job overall, providing a strong and diverse range of voices for the varied cast in a manner that nicely enhances the listener's enjoyment of the book.
Overall, a strong collection that ends with a dramatic change that should lead to an interesting follow up.
