Jesse Sinclair has secrets. A mountain of them. At twenty, newly-rescued from a human trafficking ring, he's eager for a new beginning. That means not looking at his case files, and not knowing what his captors have done to him. It's all in the past. It doesn't matter anymore.
Except it does, when his PTSD gets him off on the wrong foot with his fire station deputy, Dom. Dom is alpha-as-hell, twice his age, and it's clear he doesn't want Jesse on the team. Jesse joins the station family anyway, and everyone welcomes him with open arms. That is, everyone but Dom, who challenges him to drinking matches.
Dom, who subdues him during his panic attacks.
Dom, who kisses him and pretends it didn't happen.
But the biggest secret is the one even Jesse doesn't know—back in the Facility, his body was altered. Something Jesse should've discovered before following Dom home one night.
The simmering heat between them explodes. Jesse ends up conceiving a child. He's not prepared for this at all.
Alpha in Heat is a 84k-word standalone slow-burn non-shifter MPreg romance, with two very aggressive alphas, secret donut gifts, an accidental pregnancy, and a station family who loves them both despite their quirks.
This was, hands down, one of the best omegaverse Mpreg published stories I've ever read. I absolutely loved it.
Full RTC... ~*~
So, I read this out of order. I haven't read the first three books in this series. But as I read, I found I didn't need to. This is a standalone, we just see and hear about the other couples in passing, so it doesn't feel like I missed much while reading this.
I find it so hard to find really good published Mpreg stories. I don't know why, but just a lot of the time they aren't written well.
So it was such a delight to come across this one, which was written so well and story and characters were done exceptionally well.
Both Dom and Jesse are Alphas. Only, when Jesse was 13, 14 years old, he was taken from the side of the road one day when he was walking home from school and for six whole years he was the captive of these human traffickers who were trying to give omega parts to Alphas, and then sell them for an exorbitant amount of money on the blackmarket. Yes, they were selling the people as if they were property.
Only, Jesse was the bad guy's favorite, and he was never sold before the place got raided and Jesse was set free.
A year later, he starts at the Meadowfall fire department at 20, and Dom is a 40 year old Alpha who is attracted to Jesse right away. But he hates that he is, because Dom had an omega who had mental health problems and who ultimately killed him, and from what was done to him, Jesse smells more like an omega, and he obviously has PTSD, and has been through it. He has scars all over his arms to prove it.
Dom is absolutely terrified of letting anyone close again, especially if they have any sort of mental health problem that could lead them, potentially, to suicide. He treats Jesse pretty shitty because of it.
So over the years, these two have had an animosity and hatred for each other, even though once or twice they've almost given into something sexual between them. They've been able to hold off, but soon enough, they don't.
Especially when Jesse takes these beads out of his arms - that apparently stopped him from having a heat, because an omega uterus was successfully put in him, although he didn't know - and starts to go into heat. Jesse doesn't know this, because after he got out he didn't want to know the details of what was done to him, understandably.
So he and Dom finally give in and have sex, and soon enough, weeks later, he finds out he pregnant.
I really loved how the progression was done with their relationship. How they went from enemies to lovers was very well done, and they actually felt like enemies at first too, which is a plus.
The chemistry was done very well between these two, and once the romance came, that was very well done as well.
The MPreg does come in this, but a majority of the main story happens within Jesse's first few months of pregnancy, so the main story isn't entirely focused on the length of Jesse's pregnancy. Because when Jesse's past comes back to haunt him, they have to deal with that, and stopping the bad guy from hurting Jesse further.
And also this deals with Jesse having to decide if he even wants the kid, because he didn't choose to have a uterus, and it's a lot to process. When he comes to the decision to keep the kid, it feels earned. I also like how Jesse took his time to think on it and he didn't just immediately go from not wanting the kid to wanting it just because Dom wanted the kid. Jesse was able to decide for himself.
The epilogue was absolutely adorable as well, with it being two years later and getting to see
A definite win overall for me. I'll definitely be reading more of this author in the future. Highly recommend this! 🥰
EEEEE, so I kinda LOVED this one! This might be my favorite in the entire spin-off series (although York and Perry are very near and dear to my heart) because it felt fresh and a bit different from the rest of the series!
First off, I loved that this spanned such a long period of time. This book starts when Jesse and Dom first meet, and then goes through the first couple of years of them working together, and then to the first times of become more than just co-workers and kinda enemies. I loved it. I loved them working and hanging out with the rest of the members of the firefighting squad, the camaraderie between them all and how some of them totally saw through Jesse and Dom's anger towards each other.
I think what I loved most was that for a good first half/two-thirds of the book, we have Jesse and Dom building something of a relationship and although there things are definitely series with what Jesse endured and his recovery, it's largely hopeful, sexy, and sweet. There is some danger when Jesse's past comes back for him - and Jesse momentarily does freak out, but Dom isn't letting Jesse go, and I loved that.
For readers who enjoy alpha/alpha relationships, you'll love this. Neither Jesse or Dom are going to go down without a fight - although they might secretly love giving up control to the other, they aren't going to make it easy. And I love that they can buck the alpha stereotypes - Jesse especially as he becomes more comfortable in his own skin, and still know that they are alphas.
One of my favorite books from Meadowfall (heck, might be in the top 3!) and a strong way to finish this series (although I'm guessing there will be another spin-off series from the way it ended?) Highly recommended!
Read #2 (28 Nov 2024): so this time wasn't a full reread, but just reading my fav parts (which is like, around half the book? Lol). Still haven't written the review but maybe 3rd time's the charm 😆.
Read #1 (5 Feb 2023): Loved these 2, my 1st book in this series! Literally couldn't stay away after reading the blurb 😁. RTC.
This is feeling very unsafe to me. I don't like how Dom is dominating. His anger issues kinda freak me out. And poor Sinclair needs more comforting than that.
Started so cute. MCs has great chemistry. Little stuff like donuts, or Dom's initially super hurtful approach to Jesse, and Jesse trying so hard to go through life with eveything he has made me all mushy. But the final 25% was a bit meh. Too much happened too fast after a slow evolution of relationship for years. And the way things got solved was just mediocre. But the initial 75% still made it a 4⭐️ book for me.
Story:⭐️⭐️⭐️ Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chemistry:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ending:⭐️⭐️⭐️ Angst:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (i mean it's alpha/ alpha, so...) Banter:⭐️⭐️⭐️ Writing quality:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice:🌶🌶🌶
Alpha in heat had some great parts but ultimately it fell flat, I feel like Anna over complicates her books which in the end ruins their potential and makes them very messy.
Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed the cute loving moments between Dom and Jesse as well as the parts where either of them gave up control especially Dom however unfortunately those things didn’t make me fall in the love with the book as a whole.
Some of the things I really didn’t like are; The repetitive violent sex scenes which constantly involved lip biting and spitting I love a good smut scene but when it’s the same thing every time it gets boring.
Dom’s instant dislike of Jesse which he said was due to his previous omega and that he always wanted Jesse.
Jesse most of the time being the one who bottoms.
Lastly Jesse’s pregnancy not really being a big part of the story.
Enjoyable first alpha/alpha! Interesting exploration of their dynamic as alphas but also enemies/really really don’t like each other.
I was a little thrown at the longevity of the story timeline: it ends up taking place over a period of four years (plus two for epilogue). A subsequent chapter would nonchalantly say two years had passed, almost as an aside. It was for Plot Reasons, to be sure, but to me the MCs’ story was hitting beats that aligned with months, not years. It could’ve worked better with the years if there was more depth added to the MCs outside of the workplace or the bar, but those are the only places we saw them at for at least half of the book.
This is the fourth and last book in the Meadowfall Firefighters Series; a book about Dom and Jesse Sinclair. Anne Wineheart wrote an excellent novel as from the last three books Dom and Jesse were not easy characters, but complicated individuals with deep secrets that neither shared easily.
Jesse had been through horrendous treatment from his capturer, Dr. Larson after being kidnapped when he was very young and he had the shocking scars that proved it. Not only the scars on the outside, but the emotional trauma that kept coming back in flashbacks that could have suffocated his life, but Jesse’s a very brave person with a lot of pride. One of the good thing that came out of his rescue was his captor was behind bars.
Dom had his own set of hurts and problems since his mate/husband had committed suicide years ago. Dom’s a big guy and could intimate anyone he was around, except for Jesse. Jesse wasn’t going to let this bossy, hateful man get the best of him. Dom had finally met his match by meeting the younger alpha he didn’t want the fire station to hire. He didn’t understand why he physically wanted the man so much.
It took years for these two men to try and have a decent conversation without angrily staring at each other or have the sarcastic remarks to simmer down. These two men fought their attraction for each other; Jesse mostly because he felt Dom hated him for his horrifying scars and his flashbacks where he was back in that dangerous “facility”. Those things didn’t bother Dom, what bothered Dom was being hurt again by another mentally unstable man. But Dom still had these feelings to protect Jesse.
Neither man knew why the smells and attractions were so wonderful. Dom had only liked omega’s and Jesse was an alpha, he shouldn’t want to be with Jesse like that. But as time passed neither man could put their sexual attraction aside and one night their passion and rough lovemaking were explosive. And from then on the two men had a difficult time keeping their hands off one another.
Many unspeakable things happened to Jesse in the “facility” were they did unnatural experiments, drugged him, poisoned him, branded him and sliced into him while awake. One of those experiments caused Jesse’s mysterious attractive smell to Dom and it was after Jesse took out the small lumps under his skin on his arms that the unthinkable happens. Jesse became pregnant with Dom’s baby.
The alpha pride in Jesse took hold and Dom and he had many disagreements about the baby and whether Jesse wanted the little monster, as he called it. The vocal battles these two got into was not boring but brought out all the fears each man had. Dom slowly started to understand Jesse better. Then Larson was released from jail and he looked for Jesse.
I won’t go into any more than I have because reading the book makes it come to life and feel the two characters’ explosive emotions and personalities. Don’t miss out on reading the book. It fits right in with the previous books and it really is a great book. I loved it! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I don’t actually know if I like this author, but I keep reading her books *face palm here*! This one is probably like a 2-2.5 stars but I liked Dom and Jesse so I’m generously giving it three. I see the potential and if you like giving authors a shot, go ahead and give this a read. So…I liked the characters. Dom, I thought deserved a second chance at love and Jess, I thought deserved a healing and a first chance at love and acceptance. I thought Dom was actually uplifting and good for Jesse even though neither communicated very well. There may have been less anger or insecurity if they talked (i.e. Dom telling Jesse about Mal at least so Jesse would not feel like he was being toyed with causing him to taunt Dom). Also I liked their back stories (even if Jesse’s was a little weird). I guess what I didn’t like was how their story was executed; some of the ridiculousness of it and how aggressive it was at times. I got that they were both alphas, so they kind of fought for dominance before one submitted, but it was really violent and way too repetitive…every encounter was biting lips until they bled, “f*ck offs” and spitting! I was like this has to happen every time you guys want to be intimate. There were timeline issues for me and incorrect use of phrases. I also scratched my head at someone getting out of prison after only four years for human trafficking and human experimentation. Then there was a three man rescue team, Dom admittedly saying he was just an ordinary firefighter! I also was like what kind of super baby genes did the fetus have to survive stabbings, toxins and other drugs. That was all over the top of over the top. It also didn’t make sense to me why Jesse was so important. I mean it was said he was worth billions and the villain said something about making him exceptional but for the most part it seemed he just got a uterus. I guess I wish somewhere it had been mentioned the purpose of the facility because it wasn’t just about impregnating virgin alphas. Anyway, it was terrible with some endearing parts. But it hasn’t deterred me from reading more from this author. On to the next...

I thought this book would be perfect for me, but alas, it wasn't really. But hey, if you like genuine, aggressive hate sex, this is definitely a book for you. While I kind of liked the dynamic between Jesse and Dom, it was just too much for me. They have this "I hate you sooo much, but wanna fuck you too." thing going on, that can be entertaining for some people, but not for me.
Going back to the sex scenes, not only were they over the top aggressive, but looooong too. Waaaay too long, and they were just going through the same motions over and over again. Throwing each other against walls, biting each other and, grabbing each others dicks etc. So, I wasn't a fan of the hate sex to begin with and the length of these scenes just smothered my enjoyment.
Also, geez, these two don't have any regards for other people. I get that exibitionism can be someone's kink, but it seemed more like these two just couldn't keep it in their pants for five minutes. I genuinely had to put the book down in disbelief when they almost started fucking in Jesse's old childhood room or in the hospital (twice!!), like, Jesus Christ, do you guys have no modesty and regards for other people?? This absolutely put me off and I didn't like that at all. The "I hate you"s and "Fuck off"s with their inevitable jokes following also got old really fast.
So yeah, this book might be for some people, but it definitely wasn't for me. I am, however, interested to read the other books in this series. Maybe Jesse and Dom's dynamic just wasn't for me.
I have not read any of the books before this one so I can safely say that this was totally readable with zero issues as a stand alone.
Jesse and Dom were fantastic, and abso fucking lutely fantastic together. The story was gripping and made you care about both of these characters deeply.
It was definitely a slow burn, but oh, was it WORTH IT. Dom and Jesse’s sex life could be described as feral.. rough, two alpha males, struggling for power. One is more dominant than the other but it’s always rough and tumble, and the sex scenes are SCORCHING!
-Tantalizing slow burn enemies(ish) to lovers -gripping plot with in depth characters -mega hot sex -a happy ending that truly warms your heart
And so much more!
***Minor Spoilers Below This Point Beware!***
The only thing I thought wasn’t done well in this story was when Jesse finally goes to his parents after years of being missing. The reactions from the parents didn’t feel right at all to me. I know it probably wouldn’t be pretty if you tried to make it more realistic, but.. it just didn’t feel quite right.
It was a very small part of the book though so it didn’t affect my overall take on the book at all.
This was an interesting read to say the least. It started off well but then there were like. 3 different year long time jumps with no warning. It was jarring but I was invested so I pushed through. I don’t think this author is for me though. The story and writing were a bit choppy and though I do like ABO books this one just didn’t do it for me.
Re-read and just as much fun the second time around. Love these guys' dynamic and the hurt/comfort. Probably my favourite Anna Wineheart book! Food play: Donuts
--- Original review
4.25 this was really great :) It reminded me of Nate and Ferrara (AH Straight Guys 12) although I'm not entirely sure why :) These guys just worked together! And the sex was so hot 🔥
With all the donuts and carrots and author Anna's Facebook videos all clamoring to remind me just how crazy this book would be, I really enjoyed the story of Dom and Sinclair. The fact that Sinclair had been through so much did not detour him from seeking his freedom and proving that he was capable of surviving.
For Dom, Sinclair reminded him of all he had lost and in my opinion, he let all that colour his thought. But in the end, wasn't fighting for the same things just as important?
I have loved the Men of Meadowfall from the beginning and have branched off into the sequel Meadowfall Firefighters. I encourage others to give them a chance. Anna writes about hurt and pain that becomes love and family.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
This book was weirdly sexist at times to omegas but I think that in the end It was intencional to make comentary so okay. I also found the way they speaked about the suicide of some minor character kind of weird.
These guys spend like a fucking a lot of time speaking about Donuts. Like It becomes kind of infuriating. This results in them having kinky times With the donuts, wich is a scene I don't know how I feel about.
They also sometimes said some weird shit. Like apperently Jesse can feel his uterus??? Like wtf Bro. Since when people fell the uterus???
Ooo and Jesse father tells him he was an accident. And they spit to each other a lot.
I feel like I'm making this book look very fun, so I feel to obligated to say these story dealed with a lot of shit. Like very messed Up stuff.
Jessie could never forget his past because his body reminded him every single day. Jessie was such a great guy and he truly didn’t deserve the way Dom spoke or treated him in the beginning.
Watching Jessie and Dom tumbling around, fighting for dominance, was sexy. Dom was the light that guided Jessie back from the darkness.
Fantastic book. Jessie’s back story broke my heart and my eyes welled up every time he thought he was damaged/broken. Jessie and Dom’s journey to a HEA was slow and at times, challenging but they got there in the end.
Poor Jesse after everything he went through he is being so strong. I hated how Dom was treating him before they got together but his love and care once he let his walls down was refreshing. Seeing Jesse gain confidence and get the courage to reconnect with his family.
These two are so hot together and I loved the sex scenes.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
Ok, just gonna start off by saying this might have totally been my fault for starting this mid series and maybe had I read the other ones my rating might be higher. There were a few things I didn't enjoy about this book, again maybe had I read the previous ones some of these things would have been explained more or make sense. ****Spoilers****
First, Ifelt like they totally put Jessie's history and being held captive, not on the back burner but didn't focus on it all that much. Which was nice in a way, but I felt like I needed to experience more if it to really enjoy Jessie to his fullest Second, again there wasn't much of an explanation why the doctor who ran the human trafficking and experimenting only got 4yrs in jail and why in the world he is out so early. Third, I get why Jessie was drawn to feminine things butbesides the nail polish thing it wasn't really experienced. Again and after thought of oh yeah, now he wears lace underwear and flowing skirts. Four, I can not believe Dom left Jessie to be taken! Like mind blown! I get that there was a chance of the bad guys killing him but seriously! He could have atleast been shot and thought dead and they end up taking Jessie. Lastly, what was up with the donuts? The end scene that was just...weird....like laughable weird. Ok but enough about what I didn't enjoy, let's get to the good part. Can we say adorable! Jessie and his need for acceptance, kisses, and love was just adorable. I also enjoyed the enemies to lovers theme, and surprisingly liked how it took them years to actually get together, while the book kept moving along at a nice clip. Hawt! The fight for dominance b/w the 2 MC's was super hawt! Loved their back and forth. Minus the donuts scene. Lastly, Dom while quite a jerk in a few scenes, turned out to accept Jessie as he was and that made up for all of his previous behavior.
Not sure if I will go back and read the others in the series but Wilkie seemed like he'd make a fun, awkward MC.
I mostly liked this, it was very hot and very entertaining, but it was not well written and it felt kind of hollow. Time passed by too quickly. The characters didn't do anything else besides work, go to the bar, have barbeques, and fuck. Idk I want more than that. After 300+ pages (eBook) I feel like I don't really know the main characters, and I definitely am not emotionally invested in them. This book was like those meringue cookies: It was fluffy and sweet, but had no real substance, and you are definitely done after having one of them, except some people really like them. I also really had a problem with how the death of Dom's previous partner was written. It felt very flippant and unimportant even though he died by suicide, which is a huge traumatic shock when it happens. I just lost my partner that way this Christmas, so obviously I'm way more sensitive to this and I wasn't triggered or anything, I just thought that the phrasing could be better than always saying that Mal left Dom. Maybe instead of dying by suicide, Mal should've literally left Dom by breaking up with him and fucking off. I'm not going to read any of the other books in this series. I also feel dumb for saying someone's book wasn't written well when this entire review is just one giant run-on sentence. Hey at least I'm self aware 🙃

But this book just wasn’t for me. Mini Spoilers ahead************ They fought as foreplay. Which normally I might love but there was nothing soft about this. One would spit in the others face as he insulted him. They were so rough and ugly with one another. So much hurt back and forth. Especially when they were both so broken. Dom from his mate/omega committing suicide and leaving him. Jesse from years of captivity and feeling worthless and diminished. Yet they couldn’t care for one another. And the baby? It’s not a joyful occasion. So much talk about abortion. I got to like 85% and Jesse sacrificed himself. He gave Dom a chance to admit his love and he didn’t. He was still too scared to admit he cared for Jesse out loud. Afraid he would get hurt. So Jesse sacrifices himself for Dom anyways thinking he wasn’t wanted anyways. #nope Over them both. I read ABO for devotion/ caring/ love/ heat/affection etc. this is a hurt comfort but they almost revel in the hurt . I also didn’t like how choppy this story was. I just wanted to shake them and make them TALK. Lol I bet u can tell how frustrated I am if u are still reading this review.
What I loved the most: Dom and his sexual frustration towards Jesse. Also, sneaking donuts and placing them on Jesse's locker to watch Jesse eat them. Also, the fucking sex scenes [/insert anime nosebleed].
Jesse's past was so sad, his body the proof of his survival, his need for acceptance - I loved this man and so sad he's just a character in a book. Jesse was all and with Dom, he came alive, he was fierce, strong, pushing and knowing what he wanted - and he wanted Dom. It was awkward at times, it took them a couple of years but I loved the flow of the book, the rush in some scenes, the slowness in others.
BUT, I hated that scene with the doctor by the end - there was no reason for it, for Jesse to be so sel[-sacrificing. It was unnecessary - that whole thing. But, I love Jesse and Dom - their friends, family members, and Nate /cough, he needs a book!/ Also, the baby and /cough, babies in the future -wink, wink.
This book started off so strongly, and the middle was going like gangbusters, too -- solid 3-4 stars up until the 70% mark, I'd say. We were coasting, like a downhill bicycle ride with no traffic and nothing but road in front of us.
I let my guard down, and that's on me.
Because wouldn't you know it, the 71% mark rolled around and out of a side alley came a freaking Mack truck and everything went to hell. Two scenes, specifically, were so off pitch that reading them was almost spooky. It felt like I had jumped into a different book without realizing. Specifically,
TL;DR - this book betrays its readers, and I should have known better.
Before I say anything else I'd like to give a big big trigger warning for a horrible portrayal of suicide in this book. More further down in the spoiler. Really liked the premise and the two main characters and did enjoy the plot and the slow burn until about halfway in. At that point it felt like the author realised they had bit off more than they could chew in terms of plot. I'm not saying books like this need to be super realistic, I mean it's mpreg. But a certain amount of believability would be nice.
Firstly, I found the style of writing really jarring sometimes, especially the part sentences. This book could do with a major edit to make it a better experience for the reader.
I really liked these two MCs, even though Dom was a jerk to Sinclair from the beginning of their story! However, there is something about Sinclair that Dom can't shake off.
Both Dom and Sinclair are essentially two broken men, one with a broken heart following the suicide of his omega and the other, kidnapped at 14 by a maniac doctor who runs a group of people traffickers.
Although they don't know if yet, they will learn from each other. Dom will open his heart and love again. Sinclair will learn to trust himself again and re-establish his 'alpha-ness', which he feels was stripped away from him when he was held captive, unable to prevent the horrors he endured both physically and emotionally.
I was concerned by how rushed things became towards the end: the pregnancy, the double wedding and then their (potential) second pregnancy!
However, there was one scene that was hinted at but we never got to read about and that was Sinclair knotting Dom! To my mind this would have been an important part of Sinclair's story / rehabilitation and Dom's way of proving to him that he was just as much of an alpha as Dom. This single act would have also cemented their relationship further, taking it to another level of intimacy, which Sinclair always missed and now craved from Dom on every level.
This book is a standalone, with the rest of the Meadowfall Firefighters playing side characters. Nevertheless, Dom and Sinclair are both important characters in their own right and even with the missing scene the story deserves a strong 4 stars.

Another week, another book I won't rate. First, it is my opinion, I didn't read the other books of the series so this review is only regarding the elements I had while reading this one. I actually have a complicated relation with this story. First half of the book I was 100% hooked, I loved both characters, I loved the backstory of Jesse and how it was depict. I absolutly LOVED the evolution of the relationship between Dom and Sinclair. Loved the writting and the pace of the book. And then I wasn't in anymore, there was numerous things I didn't understand. I'll just pick one that really bothered me
I read somewhere that the Omega/Alpha role in Anna Wineheart's books are supposedly similar to feminine role and dominant male of our society (I mean the cliche one I absolutly hate). And that was a way to highlight how wrong it is even in this universe. It was painful to read Jesse reacting harshly each time Dom was nice to him, while saying "i'm not an omega". I see how the author tried to make his character change his opinion on the matter, but it was kind of awkwardly done. Jesse's going from "Don't treat me like an omega" to "it's ok if I like cute things" rather quickly.
These alphas fight for dominance everywhere…even during intimacy! And that’s how they like it…rough and shared. Jesse Sinclair had a very bad back story. He was abducted, experimented on and tortured by a psycho doctor who is now imprisoned and Jesse is free. He’s applying for his first job as a firefighter in Meadowfall. For whatever reason Jesse and his Deputy in the squad, Dominic McCoy do not hit it off. They act like too tigers snarling and gnashing teeth at each other all while circling in a cage. Jesse can’t explain this because he’s so naive, while Dom, twice Jesse’s age, is afraid to be attracted to him b/c of his experience with Mal. Let me just say, when they finally figure out that they like to fight in bed as much as anywhere else (wink), things get very HOT. Since these guys are both alphas, neither can explain the fascination but it’s there. Secret experiments give both these hot guys a big surprise. But there are other even more scary surprises in their future. Will their relationship survive? This book was written so well and the scenes between these two guys so HOT that I dare you to get up to get a drink while reading. When Jesse shares some of his past with Dom, things between them start to change. A really touching moment in Chapter 32 occurs when Dom makes his grand declaration of affection, which is especially poignant when you envision a big burly alpha saying it! I loved this book. It’s an explicit M/M hot mpreg romance. Keep that in mind. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended for readers who enjoy steamy M/M enemy-to-lover romance.
