A jilted omega who doesn't believe he'll ever find love and an Alpha who's found his destined mate but cannot tell him.
Eishun- I’ve made some choices I’m not proud of. I gave all of me to someone that tossed me aside. I won’t do it again. Feeling broken and way older than my many years, I can’t bring myself to give into my desire for another alpha. So I lie. No matter how much I want him, there’s someone else that needs me more and I won’t let her down.
Jacob- I love seeing my brother mated and in love, but I can’t deny the jealousy I feel wanting to find my own destined mate. When I finally do, I imprint on him before learning the truth. He belongs to another. I only have two choices left to me now— leave or turn feral. But how can I leave when my wolf clings to Eishun so tightly?
New to me author. This is a contemporary mpreg romance. Main characters are Eishun and Jacob. There is a lot of Japanese culture in this book. Too many story lines. I didn’t read book 1 and was unsure of the many new characters. This book has babies, so beautiful.
The moon is doing freaky stuff even wolf shifters don't understand. That can only mean trouble ahead. In every book or series I always have a favorite character. In this one it is Gnan! She is awesome in every way.
This is a new author to me & I really enjoyed reading this exceptionally enthralling MM/Mpreg romance. The well-paced plot is quite unusual & offers a different approach to the alpha/omega situation & I found it very intriguing with good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are well-developed, interesting with strong-willed personalities but at times, one of them has some serious self-esteem issues. There is: a male wolf shifter (Jacob) has a decision to make when he comes into contact with his mate (a male omega, Eishun aka Shun) who has memories of a devastating loss, Eishun’s orphaned little cousin (Mitsuki), Eishun’s ex-alpha (Jonahan), drama, adventure, action, intrigue, suspense deceit, betrayal, secrets, mystery, memories, wolf shifters, friendship, dreams/premonitions, mates, threats, danger, enemies, devious plans, abduction, blackmail, confrontations, insecurities, emotional turmoil, heat issues, surprises, ceremonies, bonding, contentment, love, steamy scenes & a hard-earned satisfying conclusion. I would recommend this book.
I am always interested in Alpha/Omega stories which explore different aspects of the mating bond and this is one that does. It deals with how Eishun and Jacob can be together as fated mates if Eishun is already bound to another Alpha. In essence, it asks the question of what replaces "divorce" in a society where bonding exists. As one would expect there are all sorts of complications exacerbated by the fact that Eishun's mate is still alive to cause trouble and there is a child to protect. If Eishun and Jacob were not both decent men, there would be several options on the table, but none of those are available to them. How they overcome evil external characters and their own inner, self esteem issues makes for an exciting read. I look forward to the next volume in this series to see what other aspects of shifter/pack and Alpha/Omega dynamics the author chooses to explore.
I loved this book just as much if not more than book 1 in the series. Jacob longing to find his mate and encounters omega Eishun who had been hurt and disillusioned by a alpha definitely didn’t want to fall for another one. The chemistry was undeniably perfect and irresistible with some twists that didn’t make this pairing without a little drama. Great reading
I really liked this story. A blue moon shifter who again doesn’t know that is what he is, believes himself to be broken and has conversations with a voice in his subconscious, Eishun lied when he met Jacob, one that he does and doesn’t regret. Jacob moves to be close to Eishun and is glad he did. This book has a lovely relationship between the pair in it and plenty of fun, enlightening internal conversations, some that would have been better said aloud perhaps, but there where a lot of questions left unanswered, hopefully this will be rectified in the next book.
A Wolf's Dream is the second book in the Blue Moon Shifters series and I wasn't disappointed. Eishun is an omega that can't shift and Jacob is his Alpha and his mate. Jacob imprinted on Eishun when they first meet without him knowing it. The book is romantic, sweet, love Ki and the other kids, some angst, and the sexy times are hot. It has some twist and turns and it will keep you interested from start.
Eishun and Jacob are mates who go through many trials to get their HEA. Jacob is so caring and protective of Eishun. Eishun has been through so much but still is so sweet. Eishun and Jacob are so good together.
This book has some suspense deceit, betrayal, secrets, mystery, blackmail, insecurities, emotional turmoil but most of all bonded mates with true love. I definitely recommend this book!!!
I really like this series, this is only the second book and I'm hooked... The diversity of the characters in their backgrounds and the unique take on the shifter universe all make for a great book. Eishun and Jacob are great together, Jacob is so caring and protective, Eishun is so sweet, and Mitsuki is so adorable. I'm already on edge for the next book.....
What a powerful, poignant, grab-you-by-the-feels, fantastic, emotionally charged, fascinating, well-developed, exceptional, intense, intriguing, sexy, unconventional, definitely different, heartfelt, and totally awesome addition to an incredible series. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I liked this story. Easy to read and well written. The characters are wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone. New to me author. Ill have to check out the first book
I enjoyed this book more than the first book, at least the couple spent a lot more time working on their relationship, there’s a lot of m/m s*x scenes in this book. I loved their connection as they just seem to click, even though Eishun “Shun” has a lot of doubt but that’s probably due to losing all his family apart from Mitsuki “Ki”, and then having his first mate leave him as well after he met his true mate Brennan and then he didn’t even have the common decency to let Shun know that he’d found his true mate before he’d bonded with him which was a complete a*sehole move, even just a phone call would’ve been okay. Yes, Shun would’ve been upset since they’d be together for like 15 years but since he’s a shifter he’d understand that you can’t fight fate. Jonahan also made Shun feel like he was broken since they couldn’t have kids, I don’t know if it was intentional but it still made Shun feel like a failure so he thought he wasn’t good enough to accept Jacob’s claim so he told Jacob that he was already mated. Jonahan was also a complete jerk in what he did in the name of getting his family back after they’d been taken. I loved the relationship between Jacob and Ki it was really cute. I still think their spirit animal wolves Gambhir and Third Party/Yuuto are hilarious as they’re so sarcastic and sassy and they definitely don’t pull any punches on when they think that their human side are being stupid. I’m looking forward to reading Mark and Marshal’s story next as Mark definitely needs some love and family after everything he’s been through, I’m guessing it’ll take him awhile to accept that he’s deserving of a true mate and to help save the world along with the other blue moon shifters as they come along. I’d recommend this book, series and author.
I was looking forward to reading A Wolf's Dream after enjoying book one, A Wolf Reborn, but this one fell a little short for me. I found it a little harder to get into the story though I enjoyed the relationship aspect between Jacob and Eishun. Eishun's character is a little all over the place with his anxiety and worries but Jacob, as his alpha, has a really calming influence on him and once their circumstances are made clear, their connection builds and strengthens though it takes a lot for Eishun to truly believe in them, especially with his history of losing loved ones. Jacob is a perfect alpha in wanting to love and cherish his omega and child, fighting for them when needed. The drama of the plot mostly comes into play in the last third of the book and is worth getting to as it involves the whole pack and gives the reader more regarding blue moon shifters. Secondary characters including Jacob's family and pack are a great source of support for them both, especially for Eishun when he starts to believe in them. The interaction between them, especially when it comes to the pack run and bringing a young one into his wolf for the first time, allows you to really feel the bonds that are in place between the pack and family. I'm looking forward to the next book which will see two of those characters getting their story and finding out how the blue moon shifters continue to move forward. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a year (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
3.5 stars This book is written in a better tense than the first book most of the time, but there are still scenes where the grammar is awkward. Like Conor in the first book, Eishun also didn't seem to know much about his own body. Conor even warns him he should be going into heat soon and tells him what symptoms to watch out for. Eishun decides he's getting the flu and leaves the house putting himself in danger of being raped. Jacob does rescue him in time but for goodness' sakes, how are you that clueless? Why didn't he know he would produce slick when he was in heat? He thought he was bleeding! He went through years of fertility treatments; he should have known a lot more about how his body is supposed to work. Also, as a random complaint, Jacob mentions he has a brother named Jake. Like really? Whose parents name one kid Jacob and another Jake? Usually, Jake is a nickname for Jacob and not a name on its own. Anyhow, I'm enjoying the world building in this series, and I'm curious where we're going from here. I'm also interested to know if it will continue to be the case where one person appears to be the villain but it's actually some other person or group of people instead because this has been the case in both this book and its predecessor.
This is the second book in The Blue Moon Shifters Series. This book is better than the first book. It had some great moments with some beautiful wording. But as with the first book there is still improvement that can be made. There was no flow to this story, and it was hard getting into the story. Which is sad because this author has some good ideas they just struggle in the execution. Eishun (Shun) and Jacob are the MC’s of this book and mates. I see a lot of promise for this author, I believe that if they continue to work hard, they will have great book. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
The story overall was ok as I was a bit confused at times, but I did like Jacob and the secondary characters. It took a while for the story to really get going, but once it did, I found it interesting.
I had a hard time reading this story as the writing didn’t always flow. I don't know if I had a final copy or not, but my copy needed to be edited quite a bit more. The characters did a lot of repeating themselves, especially Eishun, which I found to be redundant.
I did like the story enough that I would read another book by this author.
This is absolutely phenomenal. I really ENJOYED this book. The way you presented this story made it impossible to put down. I love the attention to detail you give and the internal shifter dialog. It cracks me up. This Author has a wicked sense of humor. I loved the way the relationship between Jacob and Eishun developed. I also love the detail you give to Eishun's culture. This is a GREAT, fast paced adventure. I have Book #3 keyed up next. Thanks for another wonderful journey. AWESOME JOB!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS IMPRESSIVE AUTHOR!!!!
It was a good book, but for some reason I didn't like it nearly as much as I did the first one. There was so much explaining and so much that could've been left out along with many questions that were left unanswered. Like who wanted to kidnap Eishun and why. I have my theories and they'll probably be true in the end, but no clues about it at all.
