Adorable farm animals are having fun and busy farmers are working hard through the seasons in this gorgeous lift-the-flap book for babies and toddlers.
Beautifully illustrated by Jonny Lambert, and with simple text to read aloud, this is a perfect first picture book to share with little ones.
Preschoolers will love joining in with the animal sounds, and lifting the flaps to discover what happens in a farm year - cows emerging from a barn after winter, lambs playing in spring, a tractor stacking hay bales in summer, and so much more! On the final pages, word labels name all the farm things, building children's vocabulary.
Little ones will enjoy the lift the flap aspect of On the Farm by Jonny Lambert. This delightful and sturdy board book shows what happens on the farm during the year. Bright illustrations on a white background will invite children to keep turning pages. Parents and children will enjoy making the sounds of the animals and finding and talking about the details on each page. For ages 1 - 3.
Farmer Ray and Rose do a lot of work to keep the farm running. They are able to do it thanks to farming equipment like tractors, bale forks, and plows.

A current fave in our house as nearly 20m/o Bud is really into farms and vehicles at the moment. Love that the flaps are full page size which gives a sort of behind the scenes look at life on a farm. Usual Lambert style images which are bright and interesting along with some pretty detailed machinery which is Bud’s fave atm- esp the combine harvester or ‘siiir’ as he likes to call them. This is a library book, but we would definitely get it out again or consider a copy for home in the future.
