A great collection of wisdom for success in life. Really feels as though it comes from a place of conviction. Learned the importance of taking risks, persistence, and creativity. This book helps you realize you have many more faculties at your disposal than you’ve been taught. It explains why people feel they stay stuck or feel caught in life. Among the likes of Napoleon Hill, and James Allen when it comes to mental empowerment. The author was truly fascinated with what gives the movers and shakers of the world their spirit. Rest in peace to the late Bob Proctor.

Libro utile.

BOB Proctor, expert in Law of attraction and other powerful laws that govern human behavior, has wonderfully woven these concepts in the most common principles of success. He has provided a genuine scientific basis for each principle. It's the most basic and light text to get the basics of any accomplishment.

Some of the Best quotes from this text:

“I became successful when I was sleeping on a park bench, because I knew where I was going, and I knew that I would get there.”

"Everything that has happened has strengthened me, and just like nature when a hurricane hits, all the weak structures and deadwood get blown away. It’s the same in life".

"The most natural thing in the world to do is probably the most destructive one for success. It is following the crowd. Historically the crowd has always been traveling in the wrong direction".

"All of our real pleasure comes from our labor, not from our leisure. Work is made for us. We’re not made for work".

"Over 90 percent of us are the product of someone else’s way of thinking".

"Risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing. Only the person who risks is free".

"Conformity is an enormous problem in society—people acting like everyone else without knowing why".

"You are the only person in the entire world who can predict your future with any degree of accuracy".

“You cannot escape from a prison if you do not know you are in one.”

"Don't tell me the facts, give me the truth because facts are always changing".

It seems to me that in recent years I became a bit allergic to the classical american self help philosophy. It could somehow affect my reception of this book.

What I didn't like:
- Definition of success. Money, fame, leadership, legacy. Although there are moments where Proctor softly tries to point out that there are other applications of his principles than just to make money, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a bit artificial. My reception was - it's actually all about making money! If you're an average person that has a normal life, hobby and family then basically you're a looser. It doesn't matter if you're happy or not. Your potential is hidden and unused. Your destiny has not been fulfilled. The life battle has been lost.
- Spirituality. Well, to be honest, I had to put the book down quite often. The reason was always the same - references to God, soul, universe and our destiny. Tough reading for atheists...
- Absolute lack of an outside American perspective. Everyone has equal opportunities, everyone can succeed. Well, I think that genes, upbringing, culture or place of birth in the world may have some importance here...

What I liked:
- If you have a particular and concrete goal (in business, health, sport etc.) AND you're looking for a large dose of motivation AND you're not afraid of abstractions and indirect language AND you put away all of those God / spirituality / universe / destiny aspects THEN this is actually a really valuable book! Most of the conclusions and messages are fine, healthy and helpful.
- Chapter about creativity. I believe this is the only place where author gave a practical advice - how to awake our creativity in different areas on multiple layers. I truly enjoyed it.

To sum it up, if you treat this book just as a tool to accomplish the goals you have (but not as a life philosophy) then I can recommend it. Otherwise, IMO there are better sources on being happy and successful in your life.

anything ever written by Bob Proctor is always 5 star material worth buying and re-reading. this audiobook is plagued by horrible music, absolutely horrible. super dated and super horrible. other then that the content of this audiobook is great as expected. the music almost cost the review a star, but Bob Proctor makes up for it with everything else he talks about. There is lots of other Bob Proctor stuff to check out, so my suggestion is that you skip past this audiobook... because the music included is absolutely horrible! Did I already say that? ;)

Out Of The Nightingale School

Bob Proctor is one of the folks coming out of the Earl Nightingale school of motivation and practices. The book is decent, and provides a different voice for some of these elements on visualization, vibration, success and attitude. Sometimes a bit New Agey, Proctor is able to bring the importance of intentional thought and action home. A classic

Solid principals

This is a classic fundamentals type book. No new or ground breaking strategies. If you are on your self improvement journey, good book to start with.
