Don't Tickle ...

Don't Tickle the Lion!

Rate this book
Don't tickle the lion, or you might make it snort... but that touchy-feely patch is just too tempting! When you touch each touchy-feely patch in this exciting new novelty series, you’ll hear the animal make a sound. At the end of the book, you’ll find all of the animals being noisy at once.

Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people's books at university he started writing his own. He's been doing it ever since. When he's not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.

TheGrands love this interactive book where you touch the animal’s skin & then it makes that animals sound. At the end there is a jungle of songs.

I won a copy of this from the publishers and cannot wait to share it with my little one. It follows a similar format to the 'That's not my...' series, but with the added interest factor or noises as well as things to touch and feel. Sure to be a hit with babies and toddlers!

The accusatory ending is kind of mean. And the premise of telling a child not to touch things in a touchy-feely book is stupid. Only gave it 2 stars because I’m eating ice cream so I’m in a good mood.

I personally found the ending a bit disjointed, my friend's kiddo really liked the touch and feel aspect of the book

I love good touchy-feely and sound books and this one combines both. The soft fur inserts in the illustrations (for the lion's mane, etc) hide sound touch-buttons, so when you pat the lion's mane, a sound recording of a roar plays.
Parents will like the fact that they can turn the sound off with a simple on-off switch in the back cover :P .
