While reading this book I was surprised by how much new knowledge I was taking in! This is a great book for the upper elementary ages. Getting to know about president's children is a fun way to get into nonfiction and also see that there are similarities even though it can be such a big difference! It comes with historical like pictures that give the mood a boost. I think this would be great for even a fun read, children may not have to read each individual background, but it's a great way to get some insight.
Pleasant book to read with Brooklyn as an adjacent to the Presidents, this book gives vignettes of children who lived in the White House over time, up until the Clintons. There are nice notes, a chart of the terms of office, a selected bibliography, and though there is no index, it is not in need of one, as the table of contents is very thorough. Photographs throughout.
