I was just a normal guy until the night the cherry blossoms bloomed, the night that Grace appeared on my doorstep. A failed sci-fi writer, a gamer, but a normal guy nonetheless.
Grace was everything I was not, a psychic shifter, beautiful beyond my wildest imagination, a government conspiracy waiting to be unraveled.
And that was before the second superpowered woman showed up to kill us both.
Warning: The Cherry Blossom Girls Box Set (books 1-3) contains a harem; GameLit/LitRPG humor/stats, graphic imagery, and other acts of fictionalized violence; a large dose of ridiculousness and meta-fiction; telepathic, shifter, and vampiric superpowers used for sex, auto theft, mind games, slavery, and the exploitation of the general public. The MC is not OP. The MC is a normal guy who grows into his new role as manager and love interest of a team of superpowered women. He is kind of a dumbass, but a good dumbass, and as the series progresses, he morphs into a pretty formidable dude. The Cherry Blossom Girls series was inspired by The Tick, Stranger Things, Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions, and the anime Elfen Lied.

An ordinary guy with an ordinary life, finds his world turns completely topsy-turvy when a gorgeous, naked female lands on his doorstep. This is funny, with lots of action. You won't believe the twists and turns, and you won't see them coming either.
The characters are fantastic, particularly the females. Writer Gideon is a bit of a dorky wuss to begin with, but gets better. He writes the stories of what is happening to the girls and himself at that actual time (with a bit of encouragement. He always needs encouragement!).
The humour in Cooper's work is consistently excellent, and his unique imagination is shown in abundance. His writing is smooth and easy to read. You'll zoom through these pages and be looking for more. Do. Not. Miss. The. First. Three. Books. In. This. Series.
I chose to voluntarily read and honestly review this box set. If you wish, you can also read each book's review as I completed them. All opinions are my own.
Cooper brings new levels of harem to a busy section of writing genre. The characters are very likeable and even the MC seems to get some muscles which is more real life than the over muscled straight machine type which I dont like. Keep an eye out for Grace as she develops the most and of course she is on my list of most want to be real. A great deal for books and audio as well with a rapidly expanding set of stories against a probably true type of villain.
I found this to be poorly written. It was so lacking in depth that it truly earned the word vapid as an apt descriptor. And the storyline itself, which could have been genius, even comedic genius, started out flat and stayed flat. So very unengaging that I gave up. A book has to be very bad in order for this rabid bibliophile to give up. But I did. And yes, it was that bad.
I have found that I really enjoy reading and listening to the adventures of the CBG's. Grace is definitely an interesting character and so is Dorian. Looking forward to seeing many more adventures of the girls.
