He felt both the guilt of a brother failing to protect his sister, Aubrey and the guilt of a lawman failing to protect the victim. Now, he is caught up in a tumultuous hate/love relationship with Kat Caldwell, the sister of the man who stole Aubrey’s heart a thousand miles away.

When Kat comes to Florida to pack up Aubrey’s belongings, Danny O’Rourke, FBI agent, finds he can’t really blame the feisty woman for the nightmare that shredded his sister’s life or for being the sister of the sheriff who is helping her heal. But wasn’t that Danny’s job? Yet, just one poke of her finger and Danny is like putty in Kat’s hands, not that he’ll let her know.

When something happens that sets alarm bells off in Danny’s head, he is convinced that Kat is the next intended victim of a twisted killer and he is determined not to fail again. Can he be objective when his heart is becoming entangled in the case? Kat ignites feelings like a match on a stick of dynamite and he knows she wants him, too.

This time out, Danny will not fail someone he loves, no matter what, even if it involves the aid of Sheriff Logan Caldwell.

DANGEROUS MEMORIES, Amanda Siegrist’s second addition to her romantic suspense series, Lucky Town, not only continues the saga of two families intertwined through love and danger, it showcases her talents as an author to bring true-to-life moments to the world she has created.

Part mystery, part suspense and part heated romance, each scene carries its own flavor, its own pace and tone. With dialogue that will bring a few smirks, action that can be dark and raw and the passion of romance filled with emotional turmoil, DANGEROUS MEMORIESdoes its predecessor proud while being fresh, intriguing and a romance lover’s dream! Read it for the romance, fall in love with the characters, become enthralled in the suspense and enjoy it for the gem this read is! Looks like Amanda Siegrist's bar has risen again and the sky's the limit! Sexy, suspenseful reading!

In Book I of the Lucky Town novel series, Escaping Memories by Amanda Siegrist, we met Logan and Aubrey. Now, I am excited to meet Danny and Kat.

I have loved spending time with this tight knit, yet dysfunctional group of friends and family. But, what is normal? I think we all have our own definition. They have been through some traumatic events and struggle to overcome the lingering fears and nightmares.

Danny’s sister, Aubrey, had been kidnapped. Even though they got her back, that doesn’t mean danger doesn’t seek them out. This time, his love interest, Kat, is the target.

Amanda Siegrist puts her characters through some perilous times, but she loves a happy ending. She just makes them take a twisted path to get there.

I love romantic suspense. The danger and love make my heart beat a little faster. I love seeing characters put through hell, but come out the other side, happy and, somewhat, healthy. What is life without someone special?

I immediately began reading Book 3, Stolen Memories, and if you are looking for love, I highly recommend Amanda Siegrist’s work.

Review for Dangerous Memories
By Amanda Siegrist
4.5/5 Stars

This is an awesome romantic-drama. It is a 2 book series of which this is book 2. I did read book 1 because I wanted the back story for book 2, but you don’t have to.

Kat is a strong woman that is always there to help. And forgets that people can be there for her as well. Danny is an FBI agent trying to solve a serial killing case.

When his 2 worlds collide he fears that Kat is the next victim. As it turns out she is just not of the serial killer.

This book is a great addition to the series. It was great getting to see how Danny and Kat’s relationship progress. There is a lot of twist and turns that keep you guess who the bad guy is and how it correlates to Aubrey. I also loved that you get a glimpse of Logan and Aubrey and where they are in their relationship. Can’t wait to get into Seth’s book.

OMG, I am only like 3 or 4 chapter in and already I can tell I am skipping to the end. I can't take it. I have read some of the Authors work, even liked them. This one was a big turn off. I can't get into the don't like you but must kiss you, be a jerk to you, then be nice to you. I agree with others about wishing the story had more of MC's,

Now my biggest problem. Aubrey and Logan, admittedly I haven't read that far into the book. But it seems like Aubrey &Logans relationship is more on dependency then love. Hello!!! She needs a therapist!! Ugh, I know I sound like a heartless you know what, but she needs help if she can't be alone or by herself eventually. And I don't see anyone suggesting that to her. Or her going. I didn't read the first book, but I can't see love in this relationship, I see gloming on to the person who found you and got you to safety.

I am going to read the end amd then most likely delete it

First time reader of Ms. Amanda Siegrist and I'm impressed. Although I hadn't read the first book in this series, Dangerous Memories stands on its own.
I can't imagine being a protective brother and a FBI agent living with the guilt of your sister kidnapped under your nose.  Although no one could ever blame him,  Danny O'Roarke blames himself and the longer Aubrey stays away, the more the guilt piles up.  They've always been close and he's always been her superhero brother but this time he can't help her heal, that honor has gone to the small town sheriff who helped Aubrey after her ordeal and it's killing him.
Kat, sister of the sheriff and friend to Aubrey, agrees to pack up Aubrey's Florida apartment as a way to get away from her own troubles.  She's looking for peace and quiet but that's the last thing she'll get.  Danny and Kat have been like gas and flames since they first met.  They barely get along at all but both are quickly becoming aware that the tension existing around them longer a living, breathing thing, is sexual tension at it finest. Spending time together while packing the apartment forces them to realize that you don't get to choose who you fall for. Besides it's nice having Danny around when strange things start happening.
As a LEO, Danny knows the smallest detail can break a case wide open, so when Kat receives an unusual delivery, he can't afford to take it at face value.  Is he jumping at shadows or has the Florida killer found his next victim?  Danny isn't sure but he knows he can't fail another woman he loves.
Great book with awesome character development.  Dangerous Memories has intrigue, suspense and romance all packed into one book. Although Danny was a bit heavy handed in the beginning, I loved Danny from the moment I met him. His worry and love for his sister comes out a little gruff but I knew that just meant he felt things deeply. In Kat, we get a strong, confident heroine that can take care of herself. The chemistry between them sizzles!  She bristles against Danny and Logan's need to protect her but she knows it comes from a good place.  (I also really enjoyed Deke and I'm hoping we'll see more of him in coming books!)

I was super excited that Danny was the star of Dangerous Memories because he drove me nuts in book one. He was being an overprotective brother, but he was way overprotective. And while he is still an overprotective brother, he's got work to do and a woman that won't stop invading his thoughts.

Kat is in Florida to help Aubrey out by packing up her house and Kats brother Danny has crashed the party. She hasn't stopped thinking about him since they met. But she can't be thinking of him like that, he lives in Florida and they could never make it work with the distance. But it doesn't stop them from circling around each other.

Meanwhile, there is someone killing women in the area and Danny's gut is telling him that there's a possibility that Kat will be next. He's trying to keep her safe without letting her know what's going on. He doesn't want to unnecessarily scare her. But he needs to keep her safe, he needs to protect her to make up for failing to protect his sister when she needed him most.

Siegrist promised that Danny would redeem himself in this book, and he did. Because underneath the bravado, the man who comes across as a jerk is a guy who is smitten. I loved his closeness with Aubrey, his willingness to work with Logan, and his connection with Kat. I loved watching both of their walls break down. I was happy that we got to see the people we grew to love in Escaping Memories and I love that Dangerous Memories can be read as a standalone.

I never really read romantic suspense before Siegrist and as I read more of her work, it has fast become one of my most favorite genres. She knows the genres and has you on the edge of your seat with anxiety while your heart is swooning.

Enemies to lovers fans, this is the book for you. It has a great push and pull between two characters who start out with an annoyance towards each other that turns into feelings no one expected. But this isn't just a romance. This book has a great suspense and mystery element. Fans of crime shows should totally read this book. This is a second book in a series but can be read as a standalone.
*If you haven't read the first book stop because there may be some spoilers *
This is the story of Danny, a police agent, and Kat, sister to the sheriff that is in a relationship with Danny's sister Aubrey. Danny and Kat can't stand each other. They both are stubborn and protective of the ones they love. But that's what makes them such a great match. They challenge each other and definitely make life interesting. But they both have their own issues to deal with. Danny feels guilt that he couldn't keep his sister Aubrey safe from a madman who abducted her. And Kat doesn't deal with her feelings and shuts them away and shuts everyone out around her. They might be just what each other needs. And if the confusing emotions of what they think is hate to love aren't enough, there is serial killer on the loose and Kat might be his next target.
Read this book. Fall in love with these characters. You will laugh out loud at Kat and Danny and their bickering. I haven't read the first book. I was able to follow along just fine. But it has made me want to read the first book and know more about the story. This is a great story line with great characters. This author pulls in the reader and keeps the reader on the edge of their seat the whole time. And I hope there is more from these characters. And if you think you have this mystery figured out, think again.

I love Amanda Siegrist's brilliant writing style, as I find it so very addictive and can't seem to get enough of it, especially her romantic suspense, A Lucky Town series. And Dangerous Memories definitely falls into the category of romantic suspense. Danny O'Rourke is an FBI agent, who lives with an insane amount of guilt of feeling like he failed to protect his sister. And he can't help but hate Kit Caldwell, the sister of the man who stole his sister's heart. He also can't blame her for the circumstances that got his sister taken, or for Kat helping her heal, nor help the connection he feels towards Kat, so he's a very conflicted man. Then to make matters even more complicated, he gets the feeling that she's the next target, and now he's determined that he won't fail another person. This story kept me on the edge of my seat cover to cover with my heart racing, and holding my breath. Not only were my emotions wrecked, but I was waiting for the other shoe to drop the whole time. See when there's a maniac on the loose, it speeds up the emotions for people, so when there's an attraction, I know that it's not far off reality for sparks to ignite all the more quickly so I knew that Danny and Kat were going to light the sheets up faster, and they did. And the cast of secondaries only added more emotional depth to the mix. And since this is romantic suspense, of course there were f-bomb worthy twists as there was a psychopath on the loose. I absolutely LOVE this series so much because of the fact that I love crime drama, alpha men with the feisty females that put them through the paces, and twists that allow me to drop my favorite bombs from surprises, which this story had in spades, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

The suspense continues in the second installment of this Lucky Town Novel with Dangerous Memories.  Reading book 1 Escaping Memories is not necessary to understand book 2 but why would you not want to read it and get even more spine-tingling chills with this psychological thriller.  This story is full of every woman’s nightmare and left me on the edge of my seat wondering “who done it”. Throw in a little romance and some alpha males that want to protect the women in their lives and this is an explosive story from Florida all the way up to Minnesota. Amanda Siegrist did a wonderful job continuing with the mystery in Dangerous Memoriesand I give her and the story 4 stars.

Kat Caldwell just needs some time away from everyone in her little hometown of Lucky, Minnesota and what better then to go and pack up her friend’s apartment for her in Florida.  Little does Kat know that when she arrives in Tampa she is possibly stumbling in the path of serial killer.  FBI agent Danny O’Rourke already feels guilty that his sister was kidnapped and held against her will for three months, seeing Kat Caldwell in his sister’s apartment brings out the protective side in him full force.  Never mind the sexual tension between Kat and Danny is thick enough to cut with a knife, but Danny’s concern goes off the chart when Kat receives flowers anonymously just like the previous victims of the serial killer’s.  Danny and his partner are in a race to keep the stubborn Kat safe and alive before the killer has a chance to get his hands on her.

Dangerous Memories is my first read from Amanda Siegrist and it was alright. It is toted as a standalone but there were a lot of references to a previous book in the series that I hadn't read. Many of the story lines here played off of and built upon what happened in that book. It had me a bit confused but not so overwhelmed that I couldn't follow the story.

The main characters were my favorite. They definitely had a love-hate relationship happening- at first anyway. I really liked Kat. She was kind and fearless. She didn't back down but she knew how to forgive. It was a delicate balance especially where Danny was concerned. I liked how torn Danny was about his feelings for Kat- through the whole book. He wanted to dislike her but in the same breath wanted to hold her and kiss her senseless.

When the links between two cases are too close for comfort, Danny's protective side comes out. Part of it was guilt over what happened with his sister and part of it was his job and part of it was knowing he'd be slayed if something happened to Kat. I liked seeing him work with Logan (Kat's brother) to sort through the mess that was getting bigger as time went on. Especially when the danger lands right at Kat's feet.

Amanda Siegrist had me guessing until the big reveal. And the way it unfolded gave me the big eyes and dropped jaw. I loved seeing both Kat's strong and Danny's vulnerable side come out in the aftermath of how things went down. But I think what would've made this book even better was if there was more just Kat and Danny and less of all the other players involved.

Dangerous Memories is the second book in the Lucky Town series by Amanda Siegrist. It can be read as a standalone (I hadn’t read the first book before), but I recommend reading the first book first. You get a lot of half information that make more sense, if you read the first book. I believe it makes it easier to understand the actions and feelings of the characters.
The plot was a bit complicated to follow due to a lot of flashbacks making it a bit difficult to follow the actual storyline.
The characters were well developed and seemed real in their actions and thoughts. I liked how the fears and traumas were shown through their words and feelings, rather than describing them. There was a lot more show than tell which made it easy to be in the story rather than look at it from the outside. The writing style was supportive of the story and made it easy to follow the plot.
Still, some things put me a little bit off the story. They were tiny things, nothing really palpable, but it kept me a little bit from fully enjoying the story. It all seemed a bit too constructed, with focus on the wrong things for some time, that confused me with how it all turned out in the end. The ending was … special, to say the least and I did not expected it. It felt a little bit like a cop out and as if the author had one idea and then changed everything to fit another idea without caring that other things hinted toward another ending.
All in all it was a good book, but won’t be my favorite.

This is book two in The Lucky Town series and it is Danny and Kat's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Danny and Kat are at each others throats all the time and they can't seem to agree on anything but the chemistry between them is so strong and intense that it is off the charts hot. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride and twists and turns along with danger, suspense, guilt, loyalty, hope, love, intrigue and some very emotional situations that have you turning the pages to see what would happen next and it kept you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who the killer was and omg I just couldn't put this book down as it was so addictive and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Kat has been asked to clear and pack up Aubrey's apartment. Danny drops in and intends to help. There is obviously attraction between the couple.
The investigation takes on further twists and this time it involves Kat.
Secrets in more ways than one. A future to decide. Feelings to be faced and the possible consequences as there is more to consider and others involved.
Secrets being hidden only go so far and Kat's obstinacy can be a factor. Danny's concerns over safety and his failings in regards to Aubrey's situation is something he has to come to terms with. Twists and turns.
Look forward to book 3.

When it comes to a good suspense with a dash of romance, I love coming to read Amanda's books. Dangerous Minds (which I read as a standalone) is a thrilling and angsty ride! I was nerve wrecking my brain with trying to figure out the who. Danny is perfect as the hero of our story. He has so much going on in his head and later in his heart. I knew Kat was different and what Danny perceived her to be.

I was hooked on the story line until the very end. The Blurb only gives you a speck of what there is to come. I have read a few suspense books in the past, but only a very few authors such as Amanda have me anticipating their next book. Loved it!

This is the second book in the Lucky Town series but can easily be read as a stand alone book. We briefly met Kat and Danny in the previous book. In this one we get to know Kat and Danny better.
Agent Danny O'Rourke feels like a failure for not being the perfect big brother to his sister. Kat is a feisty, independent woman who doesn't like Danny in spite of her attraction to him. And away the story goes.
Romance, great characters, drama, and humour. The author's talents continue to shine in this second entry to the series with a solid and romantic story.

Danny is an FBI agent who is an overprotective brother to his sister, but he does not get on to well with the feisty Kat, so when she is about to become the next victim for a dangerous killer, he will do whatever he has to in order to protect her. Book two in this series brings Kat and Danny back together and everyone is still recovering from the events in book one, there is some continuation in this story so reading book one first is advised. I liked the different layers to this story, the development of different relationships and the twists and turns. I enjoyed seeing Kat and Danny dance around their feelings and the development of their relationship and characters.

I really enjoyed reading Dangerous Memories. This story is like an enemies to lovers book, they didn't like each other in the beginning. This book contained mystery, suspense, murder, overprotective brothers, and romance. Danny and Kat's chemistry was hot, but their relationship was an emotional rollercoaster. I liked when they always argued about nothing, to just see which one was in charge. Couldn't put this book down until finished. Highly recommend.

Another enjoyable book in series that's still a bit on the lighter side for my tastes, but was again kept interested by the amount of suspense packed in that kept me guessing.

I disliked/ was disappointed in some of the characters that we met in first book in series, which was a shame especially since their actions took away some of the shine that the main couple of this book should of had.

Would still reccomend.

Exciting and moving read.

Having been introduced to Kat and Danny in the first book in this series, I really loved reading their story. I particularly enjoyed the way the story continued on from book 1, thereby giving an update on Logan and Aubrey’s lives, as well as introducing more mystery and suspense surrounding this group of characters. I look forward to Seth’s story in book 3.

I'm not lie, it took me awhile to get into this book and to figure out all the characters. I was lost for so long on who was who. Once I figured it all out, the story was good and entertaining. Kat was a fun character with lots of spunk. Danny had his hands full with her but I enjoyed reading all of it.

This was a great story, however the only problem I had with it was that it was written in the third person point of view which makes the story impersonal for me. Sorry, but this is a deal breaker.
Still, I couldn't put this book down and I read it in one sitting.

Family means everything and you can’t blame yourself for something that happened in the past because if someone truly loves you, they will forgive you. Sometimes you have to let go of the ones you love to help them grow and find their way.

Danny O’Rourke is still plagued by the guilt of not being able to prevent his sister Aubrey from being kidnapped. She is fine now, but someone else is comforting her and helping her recover; her boyfriend Logan Caldwell. He hates being jealous of Logan, but this is what she wants so he needs to respect her wishes. The only positive aspect of their relationship is Logan’s beautiful and spunky sister, Kat. He had been crazy about her since the moment they met and when he found out she was coming to Florida to pack up Aubrey’s apartment, he couldn’t be happier. His job as an FBI agent keeps him very busy and even though he is in the middle of a big case, he will make time to see her.

Kat was immediately attracted to Danny when she first met him, and she always thought he looked sad but maybe that was because he felt responsible for his sisters disappearance. When he showed up at his sister’s apartment, she was surprised to see him and not sure why he was there. Everything about Danny appealed to her, from his sexy stubble, tanned skin and hot body. She could see in his eyes that he desired her, but he was keeping his distance and she wasn’t sure why. It may be up to her to make the first move and she hoped that Danny was up for the challenge, because if she didn’t show him how she really felt, she may never get another chance.

Why does Danny feel that Kat may be connected to the case he is working on?
Will he be able to keep her safe and out of harm’s way?
Will Kat tell Danny how she really feels, regardless of the consequences?

“Dangerous Memories” is the second book in The Lucky Town series and I was so caught up in the intriguing storyline that I read the book in one sitting Romance and suspense are equally mixed resulting in an exciting and compelling story. Danger and conflict surround all of the characters which kept me guessing until the very end. I love
Amanda’s writing style and I am looking to what she has in store for us next.
