What’s hotter than a dragon’s breath? Every inch of his naked human form.

All Polly ever wanted was the freedom to do as she pleases. Picturesque Dragon Island is a nice change of pace, until it’s not.

The more time she spends in the same village, the more it feels like a cage. She yearns to find something new, something exciting.

She doesn’t count on that "something" being a man.

Or a dragon.

Or both.

Guardian of Water, god to his people, Ruarc has lived lifetimes alone. His existence revolves around his duty of caring for the island's wildlife and shifters. He’s content.

Until he meets a human woman who doesn’t belong.

She’s unreasonable. She’s unpredictable. She’s meant to be his mate.

How can he tame a woman so wild? He can’t--not if she tames him first.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

‘Dragon Guardian of Water‘ is the third title in the ‘Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters‘ series and this story bring us two very different people who will delight us with laughter, tears, and danger – as well as sizzling chemistry. What more could I ask for, right?

Polly is… unpredictable. She can’t stand to be tied down in one place for long, she always needs to be on the move looking for that next adventure or the elusive thing that might make her want to stay somewhere. She’s stubborn, opinionated, and Ruarc’s mate. He is, in many ways, her exact opposite. His love for the island and its residents is obvious to all. His heartache over the damage being done to the island is easily felt. He might have been a loner but he knows how to care, how to give love to something, or someone. Polly is about to rock his world in so many ways – and maybe, if life is kind, his mate will want to stop her wanderlust ways and stay with him.

I love the way these two amazing authors manage to weave not only a heartbreaking plague into the storyline but laughter as well. Life is a balancing act, no one lives in a void. So bringing all the emotions into play only makes this world more real to me. So, kudos for that particular talent, ladies, it is evident.

I loved the interplay between Ruarc and Polly. He’s so calm, so peaceful – she’s so hyper, so energetic. Again, they balance each other. Once again, I was glued to the Kindle throughout ‘Dragon Guardian of Water‘ – and I loved this couple, perhaps most of all that I’ve met so far in this world. If you love a really good Paranormal or Shifter Romance that is full of laughter, danger, sexiness, and tears then you’d feel right at home in this story, this series.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

DRAGON GUARDIAN OF WATER is the third book in the Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters series. Though each will be a complete story of one couple and their road to happily-ever-after, these should be read in the order of release.

I love Polly. She’s thoroughly outrageous, plain-spoken, foot-loose, and confident. She loves to swim and has dreams of being a mermaid; who would be a better match for a water-dragon shifter?

Polly and Ruarc together are a perfect match and thankfully neither one fight against their feelings too long or too hard.

There are plenty of hilarious situations and laugh-out-loud banter. This is balanced with the seriousness of the plague attacking the people and the land which has been woven through the last three books, the politics of dragon brothers, and the community of the island people. The pacing of the stories has been perfect. I love the characters and look forward to knowing more of them.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Polly is a restless type who needs change in her life. She does, however, love the water so is compatible with Ruarc, the Guardian of Water and a god to his people. Ruarc’s sole attention is focused on duty – taking care of the island’s wildlife and shifters. He is definitely not ready for his meeting with freedom-loving Polly! He thinks he can control her but soon finds he’s totally incorrect! The unreasonable woman who cannot be intimidated turns out to be his mate! Be ready for hilarious, laugh-out-loud situations as Ruarc tries to tell a human woman what she has to do. Oh yeah!

This is a good book with a fun story line where a kind dragon is so caring of the island inhabitants while innocently trying to keep the peace with his ultimate mate. The characters are likable and the pacing works well. Grab your copy and see how it all turns out for them.

Polly, a human, was invited to dragon island, to visit her best friend, who was married to one of the 4 dragons of Dragon Isle.
But staying in one place only is too confining for the professional treasure hunter, and she goes out to explore other villages nearby. On her way there she is tempted to go for a swim, although she had been told this is a sacred area.
Meeting the master of the house - Ruarc, Guardian Dragon of Water - she is disrespectful and even tries to steal a magical object she had found in the lake. Ruarc should be annoyed, but is more intrigued. But a deadly disease is ravaging on the island, and it is up to Ruarc to save the inhabitants and also his mate.
A fast-paced story with a snarky heroine, and a peaceful dragon, who fiercely fights for the ones he cares.

Polly and Ruarc

Polly is restless. She likes the people, shifters, in the village but not the same way of life. She's ready for a change.

Ruarc has his hands full taking care of his people, shifters, and another project that ultimately will let him help those in his care. He has no time for anything else.

Game changer. The two meet. He knows she's his. She thinks he's hot but no way is she getting involved with a guy who is stuck where he is AND thinks he's in control. Oh no.

The danger to his people draws him to save them. She's coming to help even when he forbids it. Yeah, right. Not happening.

A story filled with seemingly impossible to fix problems, a love between two people so far apart, and a world filled with shifters, bad guys, and powerful dragons.

We get to follow Polly in this story. We get a follow-up on what has been happening with Robert and Astra. What is Robert's cabin like? What does Astra say to Polly that gets her to agree to visit? Who is Forrest? Why is he accompanying Polly? Who is Ruarc? What is Rhys's Domain? What about Celedon, Kaelestis, and Ruarc? Oh my goodness, I LOVE Polly! I really love how Hale responds to her after she puts Ruarc to bed. Some questions I had were put to rest in this story, though new ones came to be! Read to see what happens in this continuing story arc.

A water baby and the Dragon Guardian of Water. Perfect for each other. Polly only feels happy and at home when she is in the water. Since living on the island she has made many friends. Her best friend is mated to a dragon. When Polly goes looking for treasure she meets Ruarc, the Dragon Guardian of Water. They are perfect for each other as she is such a water lover. But there is a blight on the island, and Ruarc is trying to find a cure. If he can he can cure his father also. One of the shifter clans is attacking the villages and he needs to stop it. Then Polly is bitten and she gets the blight. Or so he thinks. What did the blight do to her? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

I've adored Polly since the first book in this series. She is feisty, snarky and will do her own thing against all odds. Her free spirit is one of the things that make her so special. Poor Ruarc did not know what to make of her when they first met. As the Dragon Guardian of Water, he has a lot going on trying to protect his people. He was so caring and sweet, you couldn't help but love his character. He and Polly have a great connection and steamy times do occur. The blight from the previous book as well as Herrick are an integral part of the story. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Polly is spending time on Dragon Island at the Lycaon village but now wants to explore.
Polly has been spending time with Willow in the Lycaon village but her restless spirit is starting to feel lock in and knows it is time to move on to her next adventure. She finds an expanse of water and she loves to swim. She goes in and is enjoying the feel of the water when a big monster tries to swallow her and she uses her spear to get free. The monster turns into a man and she realizes he is Ruarc the Guardian of Water. As they talk she winds him up and he kisses her.

Polly is seeking adventure - freedom and excitement. She finds a gold cube on the bottom of a lake, but a dragon shifter takes it off her.
Ruarc is attracted to her - but he is busy still trying to heal Herrik, the coyote shifter who carries the virus that could destroy all of the island's inhabitants.
Will the attraction between the two blossom, or will the stress and tensions destroy it? Will Ruarc succeed in finally curing Herrik or will the dark virus escape? Very thrilling novel full of suspense, action and hot shifters. Not to be missed!

Super hot and full of excitement, this well paced tale will carry you off on a journey like no other. Be prepared to fall in love all over again, as Polly and Ruarc battle to tame each other. Not only will these two clash on many levels, but the bond that sneaks up on them will never be broken. This well written book is full of characters you will hate to love, and love to hate, but their journey is full of hurdles that will touch on all of your emotions and make it almost impossible to put down.
I am loving this series. Ms. Blackwood constantly outdoes herself. Well done.

This is the second book in this series.
You can read it as a standalone like I did, but I was missing some information about how did she get on this special island and such. Guess I could have read about it in the first book.

This book is about Polly.
She loves water and being in it.
So she moves to the water village, meeting Ruarc the dragon guardian and there is a spark between them.

Great read with action, evil, trust, fighting, romance, hot moments, teasing, sassy Polly and more.

But still wondering about some things and the end of the book didn't make that better

The journey continues now with Polly a free spirit, who never in the same place for too long. Along side with Ruarc a guardian dragon. When there world collided were in to get plenty of laugh out loud moment, action, intrigue, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end make it one helluva of read. Looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Polly seeks adventure, always more comfortable in the water than on the family ranch, she ventures to other villages seeking excitement and adventure. Taunting the dragon of water is just icing on the cake. Ruark dragon Protector of water has his work cut out for him, trying to cure the sickness in the people, save his father and get the annoying human out of his thoughts because he has no time for a mate. Adventure is not lacking and the steam generated from a water dragon is amazing.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon Guardian of Water by Kiera Blackwood and Eva Knight is the third book in the Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters series. I found myself laughing out loud at Polly's antics. This fun and sexy read (Yes, Mature Readers Only) is loaded with witty banter, tense situations, action, adventure, shifters and family drama. A great anytime read that is best when read in series order.

A dragon shifter romance on a strange and mysterious island. From the beginning you can tell that Polly May be just a little insane. But damn does the girl know how to have fun and enjoy life. And no dragon is going to stop her. Ruarc May be a dangerous dragon but one human woman doesn’t seem to understand that. But for her, he would move mountains. Their chance at a romance will get disrupted when the evil sickness becomes worse. Danger will change both of their lives forever.

The journey continues. Polly is a free spirit, never in one place for too long. Then there is Ruarc a guardian dragon. Plenty of humor, action , different types of shifters, a unique setting and some heat. It is a stand alone but will be better if read in order. Polly was one of the people that was washed up on the shore of an invisible island with her friend Astra who mated with the guardian of the earth. Polly and Raurc had a few problems to solve but they finally did and they were mates! So Polly quit roaming around the island and stayed with Raurc. Waiting for the next book please and thanks.

As always Keira Blackwood does not disappoint. Her stories have a lot going for them. Although I did not connect with the female character in this book, I did like the water dragon very much. I would recommend this book. I enjoyed the story.

This is the third book in the Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters series and it focuses on Polly and Ruarc, the Guardian of water. Polly is so restless and wants the freedom to do what she wants to do. Her unpredictableness keeps Ruarc on his toes and lets just say you will need to read the book to find out what happens.
