Derek was the fifth book in the Grim Sinners MC by LeAnn Ashers.
Derek and Brittany had been dancing around each other for a year, but neither would make the move...until they finally did. Ashers then took us through their development while simultaneously working through an MC conflict.
True to form for Ashers, it was a promised HEA with over the top alpha protectiveness and resolution. If you’ve enjoyed the series, you’ll enjoy this one as well.
Ashers then set the stage for the legacy spinoff through future teasers revolving around their offspring. Looks like we’ll have many more years To look forward to with the Grim Sinners!

We are backkkk with these Grimm guys!!! This one was pretty light on the torture and meduim steam.
We saw bits and pieces of Derek and Brittany in the past stories and now its their turn. These guys have been pinning after one another for about a year and finally are making their move, flirty glances and sassy banter. Derek is a great alpha he stubborn, Protective and Possessive and would do anything for Brittany. Even stand up to her Father and Brother. As for Brittany she has a rough life her biological parents were druggies and well she got out just in time. But now their is still drama the Cartel wants Brittany and her family and man arent giving her up without a fight. Blood, tears and Alpha males making sure their families are safe.
Couple parts had me sad or wondering,
Derek and his brother fighting. It was a honest mistake and i wish Derek knew his brother would have fought even harder if he saw Brittany be taken i do hope they made up. The next is well epilogue future Ellie and her story.. she was sexually assaulted but where was Christopher? If they were attached to the hip? I know these Mc guys are super protective of their girls? So that has me wondering where was he?
Low angst, No ow drama slight om drama, no cheating, Drama, slight secondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal no manwhore

Oh my goodness!! This story is so sweet it will give you a toothache but in the best of ways. Derek is so devoted to Brittany and he will do everything and anything to make her his. Brittany has led Derek on a merry chase for about a year now she was just waiting for him to make the first move. Her childhood has shaped her future and she lives every day to the fullest, knowing it could all be snatched away. Someone from the club’s past is trying to do just that. Derek won’t take this lying down especially when Brittany and him have such a promising future with an addition. Will Derek be able to protect Brittany from their enemies? I can’t wait for the next installment of this highly addictive series!!

Derek and Brittany have been a long time coming! At last, they find their HEA! I swear, each new book by this author builds the anticipation sky high, and you'd think the reality could never be as good. WRONG! I've yet to be disappointed by one of these books! Each new book is just as hot, with a hero that is just as alpha, and a heroine that is just as bada** as we have come to expect! Each new book is better than the last!
Brittany's life has had really extreme lows, and some pretty amazing highs. But through it all, she has become a woman she can be proud of. She knows who she is, where she came from, and how much work was put into being who she is now. But sometimes, that scared little girl peeks out, and makes her doubt herself. Makes her doubt that she a boss and can have anything she wants, be anyone she wants to be.
Derek has had an amazing life. A family he loves, a club he is proud of, his life is nearly complete. There is only one thing missing. The woman he wants to be his, isn't quite ready for him. But he is man enough to wait for her, and when she is ready, he won't hesitate to make her his!
Derek and Brittany's story is full of action, danger, and a scorching heat that can't be denied! Their story goes from 0 to 100, and doesn't slow down until the very last page! For anyone that loves MC romance, this book is a must read (the entire series, really!) As soon as I got started, I knew it was going to be one that I'd read in a single sitting, and I was right! (And the author leaves us with a few clues about what is coming that left me on the edge of my seat!) I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

This was a great addition to this ongoing series.We loved it from beginning to end of the story as I was action packed and intriguing and had a really great cast of characters.
We loved the chemistry Derek and Brittany had together they truly made a awesome couple and they were so hot together.We loved when a story draws you right in from the very first chapters and when this happens to us we are going to love it and we did that.We were on the seat of out pants the entire time !The old ladies were the bomb in this story this time around what bad*****!This story was filled with tons of drama and suspense and a whole lot of love.The story a time or two even made me laugh out loud.
This current story made it on to a favorites list.This story was a long time coming considering this couple played a cat a mouse game for and entire year .

I was lucky to have read two MC books in two days that was so good. This one was another one.
Derek was just too damn sweet. You got to see his really bad side when his family was threatened but then you also got to see the sweet side that he showed when he was with Brittany.
Brittany really deserved her happily ever after. After her bad childhood, and then someone wanting to hunt her and kidnap her she really deserved Derek, and he made sure that she knew how special and beautiful she was. She was his and no one was going to get to her.
I can't get enough of the Grim Sinners MC and hope this is not the end. I want more of this ❤❤

Just when i think this author has written the best book... bam she has a new release and it has me at the edge of my seat. I’ve cheered and cried and rage along with the characters, this is a book written to engage readers in the world created by one of my all time favorite authors. Derek is my new book bf and Brit is me lol 😂 i swear even hubby thought so! This is a must read series i mean all of them cause if not you are missing out.

I'm in the minority here. This was safe, I think, if he's been keeping his eye on her for over a year, where was he before that? Did I miss it? He's a member,not a prospect, so that means he's been around for a while,right? It was a bit OTT. The constant, you'll pay for that, in their teasing actually got on my nerves. I just didn't care for a bit of what either characters did. The H was to alpha jerky for me

I can’t tell you how much I fell in love with Derek’s book. Derek and Brittney were a long time coming and it doesn’t disappoint. It sucks you in on a emotional rollercoaster that you just don’t want to get off. LeAnn Ashers has outdone herself yet again I highly recommend this book and series.

Derek and Brittany have been circling each other for a year now when they finally decide to make a go of it. And it will be amazing because they have serious chemistry. But when someone with less than pure intentions has his eye on Brittany, it will take Derek and all of the Grim Sinners and their fellow MC brothers to protect her and deal with the threat to them.
I liked this story - it's action packed, the two have an amazing connection, but I will admit that sometimes I was taken out of the story because the dialogue was a bit awkward, as in the author doesn't believe in contractions for the most part, and it was weird. Aside from that, though, this was a good MC story.

Soon love bloomed between them and Dereks protectiveness hits a whole new level when the Cartel find them and all hell breaks loose.
I love Derek's character his Alpha tendencies knows no bounds he loves Brittney with every fibre of his being and will stop at nothing to protect her .
Brittney was strong beautiful kind hearted and loves to make people happy she loves her MC family and would do anything for them . I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more in this series.

There’s absolutely no other book boyfriends out there quite like the one’s you’ll find from LeAnn Ashers. If you’re looking for the definition of most people’s fantasy men then you don’t need to look further than any one of her books. But Derek just may be the one that tops them all. He’s over the top in every way, shape and form. Over the top alpha, over the top sweet, over the top sexy. This man takes it all to the very extreme.
When I say he worships Brittany, I mean this man WORSHIPS her. He cherishes his woman and every action he makes, every word he speaks just simply overflows with the love he has for her. It’s been a long bit for these two, having gotten teasing little glimpses of them through out the series, but dang, it was worth it. Their everything I ever wanted and more!

Derek by LeAnn Ashers is book 5 in the Grim Sinners MC Series. This is the story of Derek and Brittany. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment and understanding of this book. With that said, I did feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Derek has been watching Brittany for a long time knowing that he wanted her. Derek has taken to protecting her from the shadows waiting but now things have move forward with her but the danger has taken a dark turn. I am so in love with this book! I have the strong, hard possessive alpha lead who turns can't be nothing but loving and caring to his women. Brittany was a strong women with some quick comebacks...enjoyed her too. I hope to read more from this author soon!

Wow 😳 just wow. Derek’s was absolutely amazing! I always loved Brittany and couldn’t wait for her story but can I just say Derek took my heart. He was so quiet and kept to himself in the past but he shone bright in this book. There is no way you could have portrayed him better! I fell instantly in love with Gareth too but wow. I can’t not stress that word enough. I waited for this books since Lanes book when Amelia took up for Brittany and let me just say it did not disappoint. Completely and utterly worth the wait!!

I have read every book in this series, and have loved each and every one of them. So why would Derek be any different? Derek is a cross of pure unadulterated alpha male mixed with a sweetness factor that will leave you with a toothache. The way he is with Brittany is so damn sweet and panty melting at the same time. Brittany is everything you think she would be. Her sassy attitude is perfect, and she has a protective streak a mile long. I loved following them on their journey, and as I have said in the past I look forward to seeing who is next!!!

This was such an amazing story! I have been waiting for this story since we were first introduced to Derek and Brittany and it did NOT disappoint! Brittany’s smart mouth and come backs kill me and watching Derek handle them was so much fun. This story seems to have a little less suspense than the other books but honestly it felt right to see more of the couple and that progression instead. Don’t get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed the bad guy parts and him getting his a** kicked but their love story was so good and I’m glad it was the main focus.

I’ve been waiting, not so patiently I might add, for Derek & Brittany’s story, and it exceeded any expectations I had by FAR! (And with LeAnn I’ve that A LOT cause she’s awesome like that). You want to sprint, not stroll to your “buy me now” button for this book, you’ll thank yourself afterward!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Derek and Brittany were off the charts. I love this series. I love how alpha and over the top the guys are- loyal to a fault. They love their woman and the woman reciprocate ten folds. Brittany has self esteem issues and Derek helps her realize how great she is. This stray picks up with the usual drama. Someone is after Britany and Derek will do anything to protect her. This was a great read and now I can't wait for the next generation!

I have waited for Derek and Tiffany’s book for what seems like forever. I am seriously not disappointed. If anyone deserves their happy ever after it was them! LeAnn Ashers took me on a emotional trip that allowed be to became part of the MC world she writes about. And I’m so excited to read what’s next for all my favorite people!

Omg this book is amazing. This has to be my favourite. Derek pushed all the others off the top. I couldn't put it down once I started.
I loved Derek and Brittany together, they were perfect together. I loved seeing the sweet side of Derek but also the scary side.

I love everything written by this author and I have been waiting for Derek and Brittney's story for a long time. The wait was worth it. In other stories, we are given a few snippets of these characters personalities and it was so fun to see their whole personalities emerge. It is as always a wonderful story.

I loved this book so much it just makes me wants to read more of these books and I can’t wait for Grim Sinners Spinoff. Because I know it’s going to be as go as these books are. And I really loved Derek and Brittany as a couple and I can’t wait to read about them as parents

I told myself that I was going make Derek’s book last for a few days.. Well that didn’t happen, I started reading and couldn’t put it down. I loved Derek’s and Brittany’s journey so much that I hate to see it end. LeAnn you have done it again💖💕

This is an absolute amazing read. It is nice to see a different side to these two loveable characters. I have read it 3 times because I simply can't get enough of them. LeAnn has an amazing talent and I'm on the edge of seat wondering what she will do next!

This was a really great read. Brittany and Derek have an epic love story, and you do not want to miss it. It was wonderful being back in the Grim Sinners MC world. This book was fast paced and full of hot alpha men!! Another amazing read from LeAnn!
