As always Jaxon Reed has shown his growing experience in writing his fantastic books, immense creativity and a unique imagination! He is unstoppable!
It’s full of Relentless pacing, well-developed main characters, and plethora of bombshell plot twists. Impossible to put down and filled with exciting action. A dynamic tale filled with shocking events, fast paced, devious subterfuge,..phenomenal!
There isn’t a book written by Reed that is lower than a 5 Star rate. I highly recommend this series!
The final battle is finally here! The Republican Fleet is ready to attack Epsilon and bring the war for control of the galaxy to an end. Their plan is to use the Resistance pirates for the initial assault while combining their assets with the Republican’s to bypass the League’s defenses. With the pirates taking the greater risk, they contracted a heavy payment for their services. Now Raleigh was informing everyone of the current status and plans.
Using the Leo to get close to Epsilon, they hope to take out the planetary defenses so the Diego Fleet can attack. They are redoing the Leo’s interior, making it a Trojan Horse where the gutted mid-section will hold three Hawk-class ships and the remainder of the Leo’s holds will be filled with torpedoes. Each Zodiac ship has its own special docking platform, and they believe Leo’s docking station is wide open. Granny summed it up pretty well: “I can see why they agreed to give us so much. There ain’t much chance of us getting out of this alive. They don’t think they’re going to have to pay up.” And as can be expected, things don’t always go as planned.
Coke Forrester worked as one of the few human overseers for the orbital platforms above Lute. Dolph Hinkelbarge waited for him in a bar he knew he frequented. Coke was not really a League loyalist and had no problem giving up information about what he knew was going on up in orbit. In return, Dolph would hand over several thousand credits in tokens. This time, Coke informed him that they were completely redoing the zodiac, gutting it, and Coke felt they were going to use the zodiac in the war somehow. This was critical information Dolph had to pass along as quickly as possible. But as they were ready to go, the door to the bar opened and uniformed officers rushed in with their guns ready! Coke was teleported away somewhere and Dolph was locked away with no communication available. By the time he got free, his valuable information would be too late to help anyone. Would the war be ended this soon? Would the “wrong side” win?

I highly recommend this book and the entire series. This 10th and final book in the Pirates of the Milky Way series wraps up the action in this outstanding series. We see the culmination of multiple story lines in this action packed and well written saga. No spoilers, but I was pleased with how things ended. Jaxon's writing is quick and engaging. I've read these books as they come out, but I could easily see sitting down with all of them and reading them through over just a few days. This would certainly be a great way to pass the time while self-quarantined in the times of covid-19! In fact I'm going back and starting over from the beginning.

This series was a wild ride and the last book did not disappoint. It was full of action, battles, pirates and crazy scenes. I loved it all as everything is wrapped up. My favorite characters were all here that made it this far and the pace of the story itself was fun and engaging. Very hard to put down. Hard to put down as I had to see how it would end and who would survive and how.

This was a great action-packed series. I recommend starting with book 1 and going through book 10. Pirates, Space Battles, Galactic War it has it all. A good binge read.

Jaxon Reed nails it with this 10 book series, Pirates of the Milky Way. Every character is someone you want to meet. Many you want as friends and all you want to adventure with. I read Book 1 and never laid it down until I finished Book 10. This is the dream of my inner adolescent finally realized. I’m now hunting down any other Jaxon Reed books.
Last in the series and I've enjoyed all ten episodes. individually I've given each episode four stars, but overall it well worth five stars. Worth a read.
Alternate universe, SF advanced technology, space opera, ultra capitalism, space pirates
The final battle against the Star League begins. But wait! There are two more completed books of ten in the same universe -- Agents of the Republic and the sequel series, Digital Assassins. Excellent editing. Plot armor remains strong with our scruffy heroes.
