Chaves Para O Crescimento Espiritual

Rate this book

The first two chapters were so condescending (“Have you ever seen a hungry newborn baby?” (19) “Do you know something?” (18)) that I started skimming the rest of the book. However, things kept catching my eye so I slowed my skim whenever I saw an interesting topic.

I would highly recommend this book. I found it to be very approachable, well written and a wealth of applicable information. One constant challenge the church faces is growing in spiritual maturity. This book is a road map to follow to help you on that journey. Spiritual growth is more than just showing up a church or being a believer. It is about the active study of God's word and having that be the guidepost for your life. Read this book and apply it, you will be better off.

JMac said if he was only allowed to publish one book in his lifetime, this would be it. That’s saying a lot based on his impressive resume in addition to the relative obscurity of this book.
Short, concise, but absolutely solid! Highly recommend

Highly recommend. A great basic overview of Christian principles, was very useful to me as I am working hard to arm myself with truth and striving to learn more every day about God’s word. Thankful for this book! It really helped me!

Clearly this is one of those books which was almost incidental to the ministry of John MacArthur; incidental in that it is seemingly a collection of application points from various sermons over the decades of MacArthur's excellent service to God's church. However, the book is still extremely useful and important in spite of this. Reading the book, you might find times where you do not necessarily agree with the way things are worded or the metaphors used, but you will still be built up and strengthened. Everything is firmly grounded in scripture and the wisdom of many years of pastoral experience.

Truly a worthwhile read ... and an even more worthwhile application to life.

A clear and practical guide for living a spirit filled life. Macarthur does a masterful job of simply communicating clear gospel truths for our core purpose and all the ways in which our lives should be marked by maturity in the faith. One of the most helpful books i’ve read. 10/10 will read again!!

we are called to mature spiritually. God has given us the keys to unlock that growth and this book wonderfully outlines those keys: having the purpose of god's glory, knowing how to glorify God, obedience and servanthood, filling of the spirit, confession, love, prayer, hope, bible study, fellowship, witnessing and discernment

classic teaching of John MacArthur. His discussion of the Scriptures as "The Master Key," and the two pre-suppositional chapters which follow, "The Master Purpose" and "The Master Plan" are great outlines for any Basic Doctrines of Christianity Course. This is a reference to keep for all Christian educators.

Very solid.

Also, I will always remember how casually he mentioned that he once witnessed an attempted murder.
