Warning! Yaoi, guy loves another guy, a little bit of mental incest thrown in, don't like don't read!
Premise: In a futurist world, an old scientist died of old age, a handful of individuals were invited to his funeral and the aftermath 'final supper' dinner. That night, the scientist's young assistant offered the guests 'a pill that can do anything regarding human's body and mind'?
One of the guests, a young student with a humble family background, decided to take the pill and drug his hated enemy, dooming the other man to fall hopelessly and unreasonably in love with him, so he could reject him as harshly as the arrogant man had hurt him through the years.
Another guest, an up-to-no-good wayward young man, took the pill and used it to revive his dead older brother, not out of love but out of greed, hoping to get from the older man's lips the secret code to unlock their late father's hidden treasure. After using this seemingly magical pill, his older brother did come back to life, but is it for real?
Would this pill which supposedly can do anything to change a person's body and mind grant the wishes of all those guests?
(1) Is it true love or is it just a delusion? That's a good question.
I like the first story a lot because aside from the Sci-Fi wrapping, we find ourselves with the old-fashioned question of 'If you have a pill that can make people magically fall in love with you, will you use it? And after you use it, can you really trust this kind of 'love'?' and I like the development and the conclusion of the story a lot!
(2) the second story is quite tricky~I like the twisted love/hate relationship between the wayward young man and his 'dead' older brother, and the secrets the older brother was keeping which is related to a certain scientist........hehehe. Tricky, tricky! I like the ending so very much!
(3) 'Enemies to lovers' is completely my thing! 😄
(4) The illustration is lovely too!
(5) Novelist Narise Konohara just doesn't disappoint!
