I have been studying astrology for many years and read many books on the subject. The Astrology Fix added some new aspects and techniques to my tool box of knowledge. I liked the rituals (fixes) on how to enhance Love and Inspiration, Health and Success by channeling the power of planets and signs. I will definitely be making a good-luck charm as well as try affirmation to Raise Sexual Energy, and Healing Heartbreak bath sounds very good. I Loved beautiful illustrations in this book, they made my reading experience more enjoyable. I give contend 3.75 stars (because of some astrological inconsistencies) and 5 stars for amazing art. The copy of this book was provided by NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
Thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion for the digital galley of this neat, little book.
This is a self-care book with a twist, insight on and activities for your astrological sign. It’s more than that, though, as it’s not just all about your sun sign (you know, the answer when someone asks, “What’s your sign?”). This book incorporates elements from your star sign, rising sign, moon sign, and planets into activities to help you through the tough times as well as routine self-care to keep you going no matter your mental state.
I’ve always known my sign, but I never figured out my rising or moon signs, and this book helped me do that, which was really cool. To take full advantage of this book, you’ll need to have and understand your full chart, but don’t worry. There is plenty of insight without knowing all of that, and you can figure out a LOT by yourself to gain a better understanding of yourself and what will work for you. Equipped with just your sun sign, you’ll find enough in these pages to get you in a good routine.
I love how this book is organized. All the sun signs are accounted for with more info about who you are. There are instructions for calculating your rising sign as well as what that means for your personality. There’s helpful information about how to find your moon sign and how that affects your personality, and finally, self-care routines and small things you can do that benefit your sign in every day life.
I’m not super knowledgeable when it comes to astrology, but I am super interested in it, and I love all the cool, new resources that technology has made available for learning more. Also, this book has killer art, so it’s a beautiful journey through your sign. It’s out now if you’re looking for a cool, unique gift for a loved one this holiday season, or if you’re just looking to add some insight into yourself for your own holiday reading plans.

The Astrology Fix is a great starter book if you are looking for a book that not only gives you the basics but also easily dives a little deeper into astrology without leaving you in the dust completely lost. I was so excited recently to have done a birth chart but I had no idea how to read it or even what it all meant! Rising signs? Moon, Mercury and Retrograde? Insert glazed eyes of uncertainty. This was a great tool for unearthing what it all meant and how these universal forces work for and against my favor.
The illustration throughout are beautifully done. I recommend for anyone looking to know more or wishing to dive a little deeper into their astrological knowledge.
*Netgalley gave me an electronic ARC in return for an honest review* Thank you to them and the publisher.
The perfect holiday or birthday gift for those interested in the galaxies beyond our humble planet, how they appear in our sky and of course, how they can affect us by their positions at times in our life.
Really, truly, you can never know enough about Astrology and the movement of stars. We keep learning, and this book definitely helps even experienced readers on their journey.
With charms and other such ways to aid your planetary and personal problems, this book has it all.
Disclaimer: I received this book in exchange for my opinion.
It's an okay book, but a little bit too fluffy - so definitely it's more for fun rather than a proper guide. 50% of it is fluff about astrological signs, which could've been either summarized in less pages, or developed in the many pages they occupy in this book. But the illustrations are really pretty (and the reason why I gave it two stars).
The actual rituals... quite superficial. They will definitely accomplish something if you believe in them, but overall... they feel just as much as filler as the astrological sign overviews.
I've always been interested in astrology, but have always been a bit daunted by birth charts and anything about the 'houses' - it all gets quite overwhelming. This book goes into enough detail that you feel you are learning something new, but without being too complicated and overwhelming. I really enjoyed reading it.
The illustrations we super unique too. The only reason I didn't give it 5* was that some of the information about my own chart was different in this book compared to others I have read.
Lovely book with beautiful illustrations throughout, and the sections about rituals for every sign and for situations in life was really novel and informative. However, did feel much of the book's information would be pertinent only if one had their birth chart already drawn up and in front of them while reading, so this bit felt a little like a let-down. Still, if one is conversant with astrology, there is still a wealth of suggestions to dig into throughout
The astrology part sounds great. The illustrations are okay. Not sure about the rituals. The title needs to be clearer about the fact that most of this book are the rituals which are named based on astrology but are made up by the author. This is like someone handed me a textbook but half the content is their own little writing exercise. Maybe put something like "grimoire" or "journal" or something, you know.
3.5 I didn’t have much knowledge of astrology so the first half of the book was interesting and informative. I appreciated the references and resources at the end.
