I tried - but after 12 years I am going to have to admit that I will never read this. The cover is still lovely but the synopsis seems pretty typical. 🤷‍♀️

This book was a great read. I love Janice Sims writings because in her books she gets to the point. Everything is not as drawn out in her books as they are in other books I read. But I loved the characters in this book and how she ended the story with the marriage and everything that Harry and Cherisse wanted. Overall I give this book 4 stars.

As usual Janice Sims has delivered a great love story.
Harry wants a unselfish, mature woman who is confident enough to accept his relationship with his mother. He wants someone who wants to know Harry, not the millionaire or the ex-pro football player.
Although Cheri's ex-husband was a ex-pro football player, she never followed the sport. She lives in a house with her mother and teenager daughter. How much more perfect can two people be for each other.
They meet by chance at a party and they connect. Thinking they will never see each other again, Cheri tells Harry a very personal secret.
Once again fate comes into play, when Harry becomes Cheri's daughters ski sponsor. With a little help from her daughter, Cheri and Harry discover an attraction too intense to be denied. They begin a whirlwind love affair, but Charlie(Cheri's ex-husband and her daughter's absentee father)has other plans. The battle lines are drawn. To Harry and Charlie's surprise, Cheri is a force to be reckoned with. This was a very sweet book with interesting secondary characters as well. A definite must read!! I loved it.
