The animals are fast asleep in the barn.
Its time for bed & have mom read a bedtime story.
Somebody wants to go sleep with the animals in the barn.

I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) farm rhyming storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s farm movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. It was just OK for me so I will only rate it at 4/5 stars.

Thank you for the free author; April Tale Books; FreeBooksy; Amazon Digital Services LLC. Kindle Mobi; book

This is a picture book about little girl that doesn’t want to go to sleep in her own bed, but instead curl up with all the different animals that live in the barn. The book goes through each animal, describing in words and with the engaging illustrations where they sleep. The patient mother tells the child why she can’t stay in the barn with the animals and instead reminds her that she has stuffed animals waiting on her in her own bed. The illustrations have a lot of details that can be pointed out and discussed while reading aloud. It also has a soothing rhythm and is a great book to read before bedtime.

This is a easy slow paced enchanting sleepy time book about a little girl who loves animals. Her family lives on a farm and she loves the animals so much she wants to sleep in the barn with them. Her mother is trying to get her into the house to sleep in her own bed. The illustrations are beautiful and blend with the story so well for your little ones to get sleepy.
Daddy is calling it's time to close the barn tight, she doesn't want to go she wants to sleep with the sheep. "But sweet child of mine, now is the time, to lay your head on your own cozy bed." No. I'll sleep till sunup here by the pups. I will leave the rest for you to find as you listen/ read. Sweet dreams are made to be had at the end of this book.

A wonderful bedtime read

This is my granddaughter's first and favorite Agnes Green bedtime stories. I particularly loved the audience level for the terrible two's. She particularly loves the barnyard animals and illustrations as I read aloud. I look forward to discovering more...

"We liked it" from the kids

The rhymes are not forced, and the story works, with great illustrations. The rhythm is strong but calm, good for bedtime.
