This story is about a young chipmunk, Chippy, who finds out it is very important to take care of our teeth. After his birthday party was over, Chippy's mother tells him to brush his teeth before going to bed. Instead of brushing his teeth, he decides to eat one more piece of candy and goes to bed. He wakes up with an unpleasant surprise and tells his mom about his hurting tooth. His mother then takes him to the dentist, where he learns that is is very important to listen to his mother and to take good care of his teeth.

This is a book that I always read when I was a child, and it taught me the importance of dental hygiene. I remember being excited to brush my teeth after reading this, and saw that cavities really can form when we don't brush properly! It was a book that I still learn from today, and can one day read to my children.

This book will teach young children the importance of dental and personal hygiene and also obedience to parents.

I remember this old classic kid show, we actually had this episode on VHS, so when I stumbled onto them in the form of books I decided to pick them up and share a bit of my childhood with my child.

Chippy avoided brushing his teeth as often as he could. When he got a toothache his mother took him to the dentist to have his tooth fixed. Chippy learned that day how important it is to brush one's teeth after eating. Lovely illustrations.

This was my absolute favorite book as a kid. I must have made my parents read it to me a million times. I knew the entire book by heart before I could read. :-)
