Love by Numbers #6

7 Groomsmen from Hell

Rate this book
He was awful to me in high school, but now he and his six friends want me?

The moment I saw him, all I could think about was the way he used to torture me.
6 foot 2, sky blue eyes, dark buzzcut hair; that’s what my personal demon looked like.
He was my greatest fear, and when I had nightmares, he was the star.
10 years later, and now when he slips into my dreams, he brings six other men along.
They look at me with lust in their eyes and a glint of hope for something more.
Seven circles of hell; each of these men wore one like a fresh-pressed suit and tie.
They’re interfering with my job and with my life.
I’ve always been resilient, but every woman has her limit.
How can I do my job, when all I want to do is them?

Nicole’s Note: Seven Groomsmen from Hell is a sizzling Reverse Harem love story filled with laughter and enough steam to melt the snow. It’s the sixth book in my Reverse Harem Romance series – Love by Numbers, but it can be read as a standalone. Happy reading!

Enjoyable read, and definitely worth it, steamy and romantic.
Though I’m not sure how her affections change from hating to loving in a split second with some of them , it kept my attention and was entertaining.

"Trust me,” Kent said. “Every single one of my groomsmen is struggling to keep their paws off the wedding planner.”

I think as the series goes on and more men get added to the pot, I enjoy these books more! It gets easier to suspend your disbelief and just embrace the story the author gives you. This one had a subplot of some history between the FMC and one of the men, and I feel like this helped you connect a little easier then some of the earlier reads.

I rolled my eyes at the sight of Luke leading all seven men in my direction, still shirtless, still glistening, still mouthwatering, still assholes.

I think the author is getting funner as we continue up the numbers ;) I'm looking forward to seeing where 8 Brothers' Fiancée takes us next!

Paddling in the Shallows (Vague, minor spoilers)

I can get as much pleasure out of a quick, fun beach read as much as a great work of literature. Both have their functions. So, it's not that this book isn't sophisticated enough for me. It just isn't enjoyable to read, and I ended up skimming through after a certain point in the hopes that there would be some turning point to look forward to. There was not.

The main problem is how shallow both the characters and story are. The story has seven men in the harem, the FMC, and two other main characters who are not part of the relationship. It's just too much to carry in too little book, so everything feels rushed.

One scene basically boils down to the FMC declaring that one of the harem has been rude and condescending to her for weeks. His response is basically that he chose his profession to get laid, and he wants to sleep with her. She agrees, and they go at it in a public hallway. There's no growth or redemption, he just gets what he wants without effort.

The men themselves aren't charming or funny or even likable. They believe that it's fine to treat women as disposable objects, and if they put the tiniest amount of work in (basically, if they don't walk away when she clearly hates them, that's "work") then they deserve to be rewarded, no matter how appalling their behavior has been. Their wooing technique boils down to sexual harassment. And they're pretty iffy on the concept of consent. For the record, if two large men corner and restrain a woman in public, her not arguing, screaming, or fighting them off is not consent.

At one point, each man apologizes for treating the FMC like trash. One of them says that he could apologize, but the others probably have, and it's her job to make him a decent human being. Another excuses their behavior because they've been treating women like this long before her, but it's okay, because they actually like *her*. None of the apologies really come across as sweet or heartfelt, but, frankly, as yet another demand for the men to get their way without any fundamental changes in their behavior.

The proofreading and editing were better than average for the genre. I enjoy RH books that give the men a large portion of the narrative from their points of view, as this did.

Overview:
Story: standalone, briefly includes characters from other books in the series
Setting: contemporary, metropolitan city and tropical wedding, real world
Tense: first person, past
Relationship: RH, no m/m
POV: multi, only FMC and harem; the men's chapters make up eighteen of the twenty-six main chapters

Grammar: fairly clean
Editing: fairly clean
Humor: not much
Triggers: past and present bullying from members of the harem; sexual and physical harassment from the harem; issues with getting clear consent from FMC before initiating contact; strong, smart woman rewards demeaning conduct; occasional, mild violence

The heroine was weak. One of the hero’s bullied her all through high school, and all it takes is a half assed apology for her to turn to mush.
The author also kept mixing names up, I saw it in the last book too, but this one had more errors

This book is absolutely fantastic and I absolutely loved it! Nicole has upped the game with this latest in the Love by Numbers series. Khloe has agreed to plan her friend Anna's wedding. What she didn't anticipate is that Kent, the groom, would have seven groomsmen and they would be the bane of Khloe's existance. Luke, Christian, Mason, Cody, David, Brett and Bram are all good friends and most of them play football together with Kent. Of all the men, Luke bothers her the most. She knew him in high school ten years ago and he was horrible to her. She's determined to stay away from them as much as she can but she soon finds out that they may not be the jerks she believes them to be. It starts as a game between the guys as they are sure they will never get her but soon they find it to be the opposite. Luke is able to warm her up to him and soon the two are having a passionate night together. Then the rest follow and all seven are falling in love with Khloe. But it isn't to last when Luke finds the scorecard for the game, that they decided not to use when they realizes Khloe was different, and he can't help but fill it in and send a picture of it to the guys. When he returns from getting her breakfast the next morning, he is crushed to find that she has found the scorecard and now wants nothing to do with any of them. She takes of to California to stay with a friend and soon Luke decides to leave Texas to play in Miami. A last ditch effort by the rest of the guys manages to convince Khloe to come home but they have to hunt Luke down at the airport. From there, things just get better for the group and soon Khloe is telling them that she's pregnant. It's a happy ending for them all!

This is the sixth story in the Love By Numbers series. You do not need to read in order, but once you read one, you will want to read the rest. Also, it includes how this female is connected with the female from the previous story and also introduces the lucky female for the next story!

I really enjoyed reading this story because Nicole Casey really brings her characters to life! The storyline is believable and seeing how each guy gets along with the female, different from each other, is enjoyable to watch along the way.

Khloe is not only an Event Planner, but she is also the Maid of Honour for her best friend's wedding. Being the Event Planner, she has to wrangle all seven of the groomsmen into shape. The main problem is that the leader of the group was the one guy in high school who tormented her in high school. She tries to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he has matured some since he is being nice to her, along with the other groomsmen.

Luke was the high school quarterback and Khloe's bully. At least that is how she saw things. He likes seeing her again along with the rest of the groom's men. David, Christian, and Mason are teammates with Luke in professional football. Brian is an accountant and Cody is a surgeon. They all have connections with each other and the groom, who has just retired from football. The guys have all hung out and played a game where they had a scorecard based on points they earn from hitting on girls. They tend to go after the same girls too. They do this with Khloe too, but Luke claims first dibs on her. Each of the guys gets to spend time with her and they all fall for her until she finds out about the scorecard and of course Luke kept score for everyone.

Seven Groomsmen from Hell is not the paranormal romance I thought it was going to be, but it sure is fantastical! This story takes you on a not so slow burn ride to full-on red to blue hot flames. The steaminess and lust begin with the description of the seven men who are chosen as Groomsmen for their best friend Kent's wedding. Talking about having hot flashes!!!

Luke, Cody, Bram, Brett, Christian, David, and Mason are the type that commands attention wherever they find themselves. Cody and Bram are the only non-athletes in terms of professions, but their bodies are just as fine-tuned. The others are football players and one, a trainer. They are as close as brothers and they share everything. The way they carry that out their shared activities is demeaning and childish until they meet Khloe who makes them want to be the grown men they are meant to be.

For Khloe, the Maid of Honor and Wedding Planner extraordinaire, the fact that these grown men act like a bunch of ten-year-olds on a camp out takes the hotness out of mind or does it? Khloe's focus is on making sure her best friend Anna has her perfect wedding, despite the Groomsmen constantly giving her grief. What unfolds is a delightful story in which love is taken out of the box society puts it in and so is what constitutes a family.

It would be awesome to see a followup to Seven Groomsmen from Hell, especially with the ending. A novella around the holidays or just something to tell us how the Groomsmen and Khloe fair will sate the curiosity of those who want to know what happens a little down the road.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. RH is quickly becoming my favorite genre. Nicole has created a wonderful story & characters.

Khloe is planning the wedding for her best friend, Anna. The book that Anna gives to Khloe lines out exactly what she'd like to have. One bride, one groom, one bridesmaid, and seven groomsman. When Khloe meets the groomsman, she determines that all seven are jerks. It doesn't help that the best man is none other than Luke, the leader of her high school tormentor. He hasn't changed one bit in how he treats her. What she doesn't know is that he wants her or that the other six also want her. One of the groomsman tells her that Luke wants her, and she doesn't believe him. On the plane to the island where the wedding is to take place, she ends up sitting between Luke and one of the other groomsman. Trying to ignore them both, she puts in her earbuds to play music. Pretending to be asleep, she mutes her music when she realizes that they are talking about her & hears the truth about how Luke feels. Once on the island, each of the groomsman tries to be the first as there's a scorecard to see who can get the most points when it comes to Khloe. She's attracted to all seven & after she spots the completed score card, she's completely devastated. Can she ever forgive them all for making a game out of her?

Each of the seven men are extremely hot. Khloe is a BBW with lots of spunk and has no problem standing up to all seven. The attraction between all of them is enough to cause steam to radiate from the pages. This is a fast paced story with a HEA. Put it on your TBR list. You won't be disappointed.

This was a free ARC copy from the author and booksprout for my voluntary honest review of this book and I so enjoyed it from the first page to the last page.Once I started reading it I just couldn't stop til I finished it.And it was so worth it because I thought it was a great book to read.Hope you all enjoy it to! It has a great storyline and great characters to read about, plus it's so molten hot.And I so look forward to seeing more of this authors books because I really enjoy reading her books, so I look forward to seeing more from her in the future.
Anna and Kent are getting married in Puerto Rico. Anna hires her best friend(Khloe) as her wedding planner, plus she is her maid of honor. And Kent has seven groomsmen from hell as Khloe puts it . Because every time she has to be with them they all act like little kids. One of them (Luke) she went to high school with and he and the football team plus the cheerleader team was always very mean to her.And it seems like things haven't changed. But what she doesn't know is that all seven men want her real bad.Plus Luke has had feeling for her since they were in high school together. Her and Luke spend the night together when they are in Puerto Rico for the wedding. And after the wedding she's with them all and then she goes to Lukes room to talk and spends the night with him . The next day everything goes wrong between her and Luke, then she tells all of them that she wants nothing to do with them and to leave her alone.
If you want to know the end then go get the book so you can find out! It's so worth it.ENJOY

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Khloe DuBois, David 'Doc' Jackson, Brett Townsend, Christian Hill, Mason 'old man' Lee, Dr. Cody Williams, Bram Russell, and Luke Heath. Khloe is best friends with the bride Anna so when Anna tells her she is getting married she immediately tells her she will be the wedding planner as well as her maid of honor. There is only one hitch Anna's groom wants all of his seven best friends to stand up for him and once she meets them all boy does she wish she hadn't agreed so readily. See most of the guys Khloe has only just met and already she is planning their slow painful deaths but Luke, Luke is something else entirely. You see Luke and Khloe know each other from high school. See Luke was her bully and Khloe she was his victim and it looks like he hasn't changed one bit. If she survives this wedding without going to jail or having other problems it will be a miracle. Can one girl really have it all or is that just an illusion that we make ourselves think?

This is another hit out of the park by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you grabbing for something cool to drink or grabbing that someone special to let off some steam. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Great story.
When Chloe is asked by her best friend Annie to be the planner of her wedding she's so excited. She discovers there are 7 pain in the ass groomsmen she has to keep in line but it gets worse when she finds that one on them was the high school bully Luke who made those 4yrs of her life hell. All of them are super hot but each have their own traits that makes her hate them but what she doesn't know is that the best buddies are so close that they share their women & they ALL want her. She does her best to stay away from them but her pull to them & the sexual chemistry is so hot she can't help herself. She gives in to all of them sharing her & starts to fall in life with them but a silly joke they've used before with the woman back fires when she finds that they didn't feel the same about her & it was just a sex game they were playing which is so far from the truth & leaves them. They were all devastated when she left but when Luke told them he was leaving them & moving to Miami as he was the one who'd made the mistake which caused them to lose her so that she would come back to them knowing he wasn't there anymore but the guys couldn't bear that no matter how upset they were with him & set out a plan yo get BOTH of them back. I loved this book so much I didn't want to put it down.

Nicole Casey has once again brought another fantastic ménage romance story for our enjoyment. There is the normal amount of angst and drama we have grown to experience in her novels. This story tells of Khloe and her seven tormentors from her best friends wedding.

Khloe is an event planner and has been asked to plan her best friends wedding. The only thing is, the groom has seven groomsmen. One of them being Luke who is the quarterback for the Hellraisers who bullied her throughout high school. Bram is an accountant, Cody Who is a surgeon, and David, Mason, Christian and Brett who were also teammates for the Hellraisers.

They all make bets on who will be first with Khloe and keep a scorecard so they can see who wins, but the moment they have their time with Khloe, they forget all about the scorecard. They have genuine feelings for her and hope to keep her in their future, then Luke goes and spoils it, now Khloe has left town and he feels so bad that he is going to leave the state for good. Someone has to stop him from leaving. Will this be the end of Khloe’s seven men?

Khloe is an event planner and is currently working on her best friend's wedding as well as being the maid of honor. Her friend warns her that the groomsmen are a handful but that's an understatement of the century. Luke is the guy that bullied her in high school now is his the quarterback for the Hellraisers. Cody is a surgeon, Brian is an accountant, David, Christian and Mason are team mates with Luke. Each guy sees Khloe and immediately wants her however Luke tells them he gets first chance with her. The guys make a scorecard of what they do with Khloe and points for each thing. Just as Khloe is letting her guard down and see Luke differently and think maybe there could be something between them all she finds the score card. Will she let the guys explain? Can they convince her that they really want her?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Khloe is an event organiser and her best friend Anna has asked her to be both her Maid of Honour and her wedding planner. The only downside to this idea is that Kent, her husband to be who’s a retired footballer, is having 7 groomsmen that delight in winding her up every step of the way. To make matters even worse, Luke who is the best man, had been a high school nemesis of Khloe’s, siding with others to bully her and make high school hell. The seven gorgeous men however, especially Luke who has been in love with her for over ten years, are all enamoured with the beautiful, curvy woman. They have made a habit of sharing women in the past, and they would love to bring Khloe into their fold. Unfortunately all of their interactions just rub Khloe up the wrong way. Khloe is counting down the days until she never has to see any of them again. That is until they get to Puerto Rico, where things heat up.
This is another brilliant addition to the Love by Numbers, reverse harem series. It’s a great story with interesting characters and entertaining banter. Loved it :-)

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Seven groomsmen from hell is book seven in the love by numbers series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Khloe is the maid of honour and wedding planner for her best friend. Due to that, she is faced with seven handsome yet annoying men. One of them being Khloe’s high school bully. Luke, Cody, David, Mason, Brett, Bram and want Khloe and are determined to have her.
The chemistry between Khloe and the seven men were clear to see and I liked them together. I liked the build up to Khloe giving in to temptation. I liked all of the men but I have to admit, Luke and Cody were my favourite.
Some of the scenes in this story are kindle melting hot! the sexual tension between Khloe and the groomsmen was through the roof.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this book.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Written with a sense of humor - fun and sexy reverse harem story

This reverse harem story contains subject matter that may be offense to some including adult language and lots of steamy intimate scenes (MF, MFM, MMFM, MMMMFMMM, elements of BDSM).

If any of these are offensive, please do not purchase and then rate it lower than it deserves.

This can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading in series order for maximum reader satisfaction. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of reoccurring characters, but it does appear that introductions are made for the next story in the series.

I tried to give an accurate rating based on other similar style stories I have read. I gave it 4 stars as there is a storyline, character development and universe building (especially when it comes to the resort in Puerto Rico), all of which I would consider strong when looking at the number involved with a shorter length story.

I like that while the heroine is a wedding planner who is perceived one way, she is not afraid to get her freak on. The author also does a good job at the end of not glossing over and giving instant forgiveness.

I enjoyed reading this book, it was good, but honestly i could not say it way great. While im not a fan of bulling , honestly Luke was an absolutely stupid man (and thats just putting it mildly) I know he really liked Khloe but going to the extremes he did just put me off him a tad. Which made the others getting to know her even more difficult. I felt sorry for Khloes character really, but this Author made her a strong women which was really good..

Khloes friend Anna and her fiance are getting married, Khloe has been given the job as wedding planner. She got told that the men were going to be a handful, but she knowing each man, handful was an understatement. While in the grocery shop she meets one of the men who tell her that Luke really loves her, that is why he does what he does... food for thought , so while they are all on the Island she has one night with Luke and discovers thqt the others want to share her as well. Even though the guys finally get one night to prove how they feel... one member stuffs it up once more for them all. Is this the end for them all?

DNF - quit at 40%
I can’t believe I kept reading until the 40% point. This really offended me on so many levels. For Kloe to even entertain any idea with any of them is total bull. I hold grudges, I might have forgiven Luke for his past bullying causing trauma when he said he was sorry but I would never have any kind of relationship with him ever. So all 7 guys are total assholes, betting on a sexual relationship with them is so crappy. There is no redemption for any of them, especially Luke! I can’t even continue knowing the blow up that will happen when she finds out about the bet! This book was such a bad idea, that I’m deleting it & all other books by this author from my Kindle library, & will not read more from her if this is a representation of her writing. Sometimes it’s just not worth the aggravation.

At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

And now we are up to seven This is a great fun series where the number increase each time we must surely be getting to the end of this series because no woman could handle this many men ansd still remain sane.

Khloe's best friend Anna is about to marry Kent a football star and she has agreed to not only be the lone bridesmaid but to also act as the wedding planner The only problem is there are 7 groomsmen. David the health nut, Brett the stubborn one, Christian with the killer smile, Mason the charmer, These four where all on the same team as Kent The other groomsmen are Cody a doctor, Bram the bad boy accountant and Mason not only is he on Kent's team but he is the QB and the bane of Khloe's life. So what happens when all the groomsmen decide they want to play with the bridesmaid can she work with them or will the sexual tension be too much. You will have to read to see how this one ends.

Getting to the wedding is only half the fun! Khloe really had no idea what she was getting herself into when she agreed to plan her best friend's wedding. I mean, after-all, she's a wedding planner, how hard can it be. Well, getting the groomsmen count down from his whole starting line plus 2 down to the 'can't give them up' 7 is only the start on this path into madness. The ring leader of this group is none other than her High School nightmare/bully extraordinaire, aka Luke Heath. They torment her mercilessly, making her job a living hell. When she hears a rumor that Luke wants her in his bed, she dismisses it. But what if he does? And what if he has actually grown up but just has no clue how to approach her? And what if he isn't alone? So many questions. What's a girl to do?
Wonderful book! Well written with great character building.

Hot and steamy in Puerto Rico

Seven Groomsmen from Hell is the sixth book in the Love by Numbers series and is the story of Khloe, Luke, Christian, Mason, Cody, Bram, David and Brett. So that makes one wedding planner and five football players, I accountant and one doctor. Add in the heat, sun and water of Puerto Rico as the location and this story has some sizzle to it.
I am on the fence about the story to a certain extent. I know that to make the story-line work Khloe had to go from hating Luke, who used to bully her in school, to liking him enough to want to please him, but it felt rushed and not handled really well to me. But the story-line itself was good and there were some very hot and sexy scenes. So I just ended up going along for the ride to where the author took me in the story.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I've never read a reverse harem with quite so many men, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I downloaded Seven Groomsmen from Hell, but I am here for this ride!

I thought their love for Khloe developed a touch too quick to be believable, but I enjoyed their relationship together. I wish she would have gotten to know the guys a bit better as it seemed like she went from hating them to loving them in one conversation. I feel like she lost some good character depth on that one.

I'd love to see more content with them and see how their relationship deepens and grows. The story seems a bit rushed in the middle parts so I'd love to see some bonus content that gives each of the guys more complexity and depth and fills in some gaps.

Altogether though, a really fun read! The different things each guy was into added some variety in the spicy scenes, which I appreciated. I'm looking forward to digging more into this series!

Wow. I never expected this combination of reverse harem and bully romance. And even less likely, I didn’t expect to love it so much. After taking some extra time to discover her worth, Khloe’s now feisty and independent. Luke was her high school nemesis but now she has to work with him to make her best friend’s wedding a success. And keep the rest of the undergrown adolescents pretending to be groomsmen in line. I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this book at first because the men spent a lot of time behaving like jerks. Much like Khloe, it took me a little while to warm up to them. But once we get to see the soft squishy hearts behind those player masks, they become pretty irresistible. And the ending is perfectly adorable.

You would think that to continue reading books in a series that they would start to lose their spark but NOT these books in the Love By Numbers. They just keep getting better and better. This one is the greatest of them all so far. Love It! Wedding planner for her friend. One bridesmaid and seven groomsmen. I would love to be at one of these weddings. You always have bridesmaid and groomsmen hooking up. Seven on one. You know where this is going. You have the guys being mean girls to Khloe. Khloe refuses to let them get to her. Khloe hooks up with who first? Then who is next? They finally put away childish things and grow up. Sparks fly off the pages in this book. You can say this book is to hot to handle.
