Jason loves fire engines. He wants to know all about firefighters, their clothes and their tools, their pumper trucks and their ladder trucks. And, when he gets a chance to sit in the driver's seat, he feesl just like a real firefighter, too. Anne Rockwell, author of the termendously popular classics FIRE ENGINES and BIG WHEELS , invites young readers to a fun-filled day -- AT THE FIREHOUSE . This brightly colored, large-sized volume offers a new look inside the firehouse for fans of firefighters and fire trucks everywhere.
This book is very colorful and creative. It shows a picture of the firetruck and shows everything that is on it. The firetruck goes to different places and shows people around. The dogs are very cute
I really enjoyed this book! It was a cute book as well as educational. I actually learned some things about fire stations in this book. I thought that was very cool! I especially liked the page that reviewed the firetruck and what equipment was on it. I would definitely recommend "At the Firehouse".
Elliot enjoyed this book because he likes fire engines. The illustrations were hard to decipher at times because the characters were all Dalmatians and their spots were a bit overwhelming and made the dogs blend into each other in a few busy pages. Otherwise, it’s a good book about a boy who visits a fire station and takes a tour
This book is more about the family side of the firefighters job. There is also a very neatly labeled diagram of a firetruck. I would definitely keep this around my classroom for when talking about jobs.
This book would be a great book to use when talking to students about the job of a firefighter and would also be a great lesson in teaching kids about the parts of the firehouse and the fire truck. This could also be used when talking about different jobs.
There is a LOT of useful information in this book about life at a firehouse, including a very thorough diagram of a fire truck. Pretty much any child who is remotely interested in firehouses/firefighters would like this book.
Good for firefighter-obsessed little three-year-olds (who insist you substitutethe character's name--Jason--with Nicholas.) Woe betide you if you forget and slip up!
