The Montgomery Ink saga continues in a seductive romance where a runaway bride and two best friends might just take the chance of a lifetime.
Ethan Montgomery thought he had his life figured out until the moment he and his best friend met a woman in a wedding dress drinking wine out of a paper bag. He might work too many hours and always seems to put his family and friends first. Still, when he finally opens up to Holland and Lincoln, he may just get everything he’s ever wanted.
Holland Yeaton made a horrible mistake, and running out on her wedding seemed like the only thing to do at the time. Taking the next step of her life on her own won’t be easy, but now she has two sexy and bearded strangers to help her figure out exactly what she desires.
Lincoln McClard has loved his best friend for as long as he can remember. Only he’s never dared to do anything about it. Instead, he puts all of his sexual frustration into his art. As soon as he meets Holland, he realizes exactly why he waited for Ethan and what has been missing all along.
However, it’s not only the three of them in this tangled and steamy relationship. And if they aren’t careful, it won’t only be their feelings that get hurt…and broken.

Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland's story is one of best friends finding their way to one another with a little help from the perfect person to complete them. I always enjoy a good friends to lovers romance, throw in the fact they the friends are both male and that bumps it up for me, and then add in a woman that get the two friends to admit their feelings towards one another and I am all over it. It's like I'm a little kid in a candy store and I have grabby hands because I can't get enough of it.
There is so much emotion in this book. Fear, insecurity, jealousy, but most importantly love.
The love between best friends that's always been just a little more but neither knew exactly how to express that. The new love realized when you meet that special someone.
Ms. Ryan does an amazing job of navigating all of those feelings with her writing. She truly makes the reader feel a part of the story. And who wouldn't want to be a part of the amazing Montgomery family!
Holland Yeaton ran away from her wedding when she caught her sister going down on her fiancee. She had a feeling that wasn't the first time they did such thing and it sure as heck wasn't going to be the last time. She decided right there and then that she wouldn't allow herself to fall in love again.
Ethan Montgomery, a computational chemist who'd been in love with his best-friend, Lincoln since he was fourteen. He thought he had his life figured out but all that changed the moment they met the breathtaking woman in her wedding dress drinking wine from a paper bag. He never knew how much this encounter would change his world.
Holland needed to figure out what she was going to do next. If she thought she was alone well she couldn't be more wrong. The two handsome as sin men who came to her rescue were willing to give her, her heart's desires. She had new friends that had her back.
Lincoln McClard has always been in love with his best-friend, Ethan Montgomery. The only problem was that he never did anything about it. Instead he focused on his art until the day they both met Holland and as time went by he knew why he never made a move. She was the missing link that they both needed in their lives in order to take that leap.
Loved how both Ethan and Lincoln thought the attraction they had towards each other was one sided. When the truth came out, they couldn't be happier. Holland and Lincoln have got the most selfish and awful families. It was a pleasure to meet Lincoln's cousin, Madison.
The way the latter, Arden (WRAPPED IN INK) and Bristol crashed into Holland's life was well done. Despite feeling like her place in the boys' lives was temporary (which couldn't have been further from the truth). She let them engulfed her in their warm welcome.
As the triad got to know each other better, Ethan felt like he was ruining what was happening between them. He couldn't bear the thought of losing the people he was losing his heart to. When their pasts tried to ruining what they were trying to build, their world was shattered. Fear and misunderstandings got the better of them, they had some demons to deal but when all was said and done. They all realized how much they truly meant to each other.
Getting some Maya and the extended Montgomery family mentions was a delightful treat. Ethan, Holland and Lincoln got their HEA with a nice little twist ;).
SATED IN INK is the second installment in Carrie Ann Ryan's MONTGOMERY INK: BOULDER series. Ooh la la! What a steamy, fascinating, fast-paced and a wonderful read. Another masterpiece by Carrie Ann Ryan! 5🌟🌟🌟🌟
****I received this book, without any obligation to review.****
****Characters icons and teasers courtesy of Carrie Ann Ryan.****
Right from the start...Carrie Ann Ryan will pull on your heart strings when Holland goes through heartbreak and betrayal all on the day she has dreamed of. Sated in Ink is about courage. It is about having the strength being what you need to be to start living life to the fullest. That is where Lincoln and Ethan come into the picture.
Because there is always "What society deems appropriate" bit, these characters work through a lot of turmoil through their need for each other. But I loved every minute. Ethan has a lot of doubt, but Holland gives him the strength and eventually he lets go. Lincoln was just as amazing with Ethan and Holland. But don't let that fool you. There is a lot of angst, tears, and trials before they can try to reach for a HEA.
Sated in Ink built excitement and contentment. I never got bored and wanted so much more at the end. Great story from the heart!
This book felt like a miss. I liked the plot. I liked the characters to the extent I got to know them. They weren't well developed. Consequently, the relationships weren’t well developed either.
The characters felt one-dimensional. Lincoln was obsessed with his artist's block, Ethan worried about working too much and Holland was a runaway bride with a crappy family. There wasn't much more to them.
Little time was spent with the three main characters interacting. Those important little moments where they showed their depth of understanding for one another, discovered shared interests, surprised each other or uncovered annoying but endearing traits—those were missing. I read that they were making connections, but I didn't get to see those moments. Instead, most of the book was spent inside the characters' heads going round in circles, covering the same territory (work, artists' block, runaway bride, how to make the unconventional relationship work) over and over. It was very repetitive. I tired of reading how everyone and everything was fine. Fine, fine, fine.
The dialogue often felt awkward. I thought the best scenes were with Lincoln and his cousin.
In the end, I didn't buy the resolution, which ties back to the lack of character development. Cutting the repetitive bits would have cleared about 25 percent of the book, leaving room to round out the characters.
I loved the Montgomery Ink series. And I am loving that the author is giving a spin off on their relatives, yet the stories and characters are fresh. We still get that feel of deep family bonds, but the faces are new and their love lives are unique.
This one is Ethan's story. If you like friends to lovers with a run away bride thrown in---this one is for you. We have met Ethan and Lincoln previously. They are best friend who happen to have loved each other all their lives. They have not crossed any lines there. Until Holland falls into their lives. She becomes the glue that binds. They all take a new look at what it means to be in a relationship. Can this unconventional triad make a go of it?
There is some tension with Holland not being able to trust easily, There is also a small amount of suspense. Super hot chemistry between all of them. Great family moments with the Montgomerys. I can't wait for baby sister Bristol's story. She is a spitfire!

Montgomery Ink: Boulder #2, It's been a while since I've read a menage, probably because it's been a while since Carrie Ann Ryan has written one. I am picky about any M/M or M/M/F I usually only stick to authors I know, because I already enjoy their writing style and I trust that I'll enjoy the book. Carrie Ann does not disappoint. Emotional, immersive, really freakin' hot! Top it all of with the wonderful Montgomery Family and you can't go wrong.
Ethan Montgomery has had a crush on his best friend Lincoln for as long as he can remember. Lincoln has had a crush on Ethan from the start of their friendship, neither of them knowing how the other felt. Jogging one morning they come across a bride drinking wine straight from the bottle just sitting in the park, concerned they introduce themselves and ask her out for coffee. Holland ran away from her wedding after catching her sister with her almost husband in a delicate situation. Ethan and Lincoln offered her comfort and friendship, which she needed after all her "friends" abandoned her in favor of her sister. Holland's friends and family vilified her making her the bad guy in this situation so her new friendship with Ethan and Lincoln was very much needed and welcome.
Ethan and Lincoln are both attracted to her and several months down the line when they invite her over for Mario Kart and drinking they never expect it to turn out the way it does. They all agree they are going to try and make it as a triad (because throuple sounds silly). The Montgomery's embrace Holland into their fold giving her a whole new family, one that actually likes her. Lincoln is dealing with his strangely possessive manager and not being able to paint, and Ethan is overworking himself even more than usual. Holland still feels like she's on the cusp of the relationship and it's only a matter of time before they move on without her.
Overall, it's an emotional and entertaining story. Communication is key in any relationship and having three people needs even more work, no matter how hot the sex is. Holland, Lincoln, and Ethan have their work cut out for them and it makes a great story with great characters. It was nice to see the Montgomery's again but you know who I really miss the Shifters. I miss Carrie Ann's PNR.
Running, it’s what we are trained to do from the very beginning. Whether running for health in gym classes throughout school, playing tag as a child, any number of sports. Toddlers try to run before they can walk. We are told to turn the other cheek when confronted, stepping back to re-group, or flat out avoidance, as humans, when faced with fight or flight, we instinctively take flight.
When our story starts with a runaway bride, and our two best friends out for a run, finding and friending her, it didn’t seem wrong. This is what Holland, Lincoln, and Ethan do, what all of us do, try to stay in shape, run from our troubles, make life work, and don’t rock the boat. Luckily for us, and them, one night of fun and alcohol, lowered their inhibitions enough to act. They were all still running, denying, from their feelings, and then later, each other, but it was enough to make them try to stop in the moment. They had their fun, they had the sweetness, the sexiness, the overflow of emotions, but they were still quivering in their starting blocks, not realizing they were already in the race. They almost lost it all, before someone (it’s Ethan) goes against his natural instinct and stands and fights. That alone, makes all the pain and heartache, all the doubts and fears, worth it. They all can still run, but they will be running TO each other, not away, for all the good, the bad, the sweet, and the saucy, that life will bring their way <3
Now as an aside, remember the children’s rhyme, “run, run, run, as fast as you can, you can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man”, well, our runaway bride has red hair, a coincidence? Maybe, maybe not, but after reading the extended extra epilogue, I wonder if a lot of gingerbread cookies are in Holland’s future…..hmmmm 😊
This is a story of 3 people (MMF) that enter into a triad relationship. And Carrie Ann Ryan is an author who does a great job of telling their story. Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland. Ethan & Lincoln have been friends for years. They have also been attracted to each other but never say anything or acted upon that as they were afraid it would ruin their friendship. Holland is what we might call a run away bride. She ran out of her wedding. Not because she wasn't ready but because she caught her sister with her husband to be in a compromising position. And, she feels like this is not the first time they've been together. Therefore, she leaves the venue and just takes a walk, trying to make sense of what happened. And, Holland ends up meeting the guys. They notice something was wrong and offer help & advice. They become friends. Friends that are very much attracted to each other!!! One night, after a lot of drinking, the liquid courage loosens their tongues and they reveal how attracted they are to each other and one thing leads to another, and wowza! And, after this night, they start to get inside their heads and communication lines get crossed. Holland is decides this is temporary and it is only a matter of time before the guys will go on their way together. Only that is NOT what they were thinking at all. And of course the guys have their insecurities and think that the other should just go make a life with Holland. Oy!! When a twist is thrown their way, it shakes them up and gets them thinking. And Ethan steps up and goes out on a limb and decides that they are not all just going to walk away from this relationship that they all 3 have entered into. He talks with Lincoln & Holland and shares what is on his mind. Like him, they don't want it to end either. So, they fight for their HEA with the help of their friends and Ethan's family, the Montgomerys.
This is book 2 in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder series and it can absolutely be read as a stand alone although I do recommend reading the 1st book because it introduces these characters in that book. In this one we get Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland's story. Ethan and Lincoln have been best friend's since they were kids although they both have feelings for each other that they don't think are reciprocated. Neither expected to meet Holland in a wedding dress drinking wine out of a paper bag. Or figuring out over time that this is the one woman who can bring them all together. But can they figure out what they need and keep each other safe at the same time?
I really liked this one! Ethan and Lincoln are both extremely lovable people that you can't help but root for a happy ending between all of them. They are both strong, funny, and sweet. Especially to the people that they care about. Holland has this horrible family that has crushed her down. My only problem with her is that she tends to think the very worst when one thing goes wrong. I get that she was beat down but at some point you just have to realize that it's not you that is the problem. On a whole, I really liked it. And I even liked the little bit of suspense towards the end! Can't wait for the next one! Tor Thom narrates this in a way that you can't help but love. He brings all the characters and the story to life in ways that I didn't really expect but it made me enjoy listening to it even more. His tone of voice is always great and this one was no exception to that!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”Something this perfect, this... everything, wasn’t meant for her. But she could soak it in, and she could hold them. At least, for the moment.” . Lincoln and Ethan are bestfriends. Lincoln has been on love with Ethan though, for as long as he can remember. When they meet Holland, a runaway bride sitting in a park in her wedding dress, drinking wine out of a paperbag, they have no idea their lives are about to change.✨ . If you love: •Seductive romance •Menages/polyamory •Friends to lovers •Runaway Brides •Erotic Scenes Then this is the book for you!✨ . I’m pretty sure my kindle is on fire. This was one heck of a steamy ride. Erotica at its finest. This author sure knows how to write it hot! But this story goes beyond that. It’s about friendship, love, and overcoming inner obstacles. About going outside your comfort zone and not running from your problems.✨ . The MMF triad chemistry was obviously off the charts. But what I loved most was the easy family acceptance written by the author. I mean we’ve been reading about this family for some time now, so not exactly surprising, but just so heartwarming to read. The real world could take note.✨ . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . This is Book 2, in the Montgomery Ink: Boulder Series. The characters intertwine but easily read as a standalone if your not up to date on the Montgomery Family! Perfect steamy read in time for Valentines!✨ . I was provided an ARC for my honest review.✨
This author sets the bar for smoking hot, sensual menage romance! There is so many feelings, and emotions packed into this book, I just could not put it down! This trio has an absolute connection that there is no getting past, and I just knew they'd be perfect together!
Ethan and Lincoln are best friends. With feelings for each other. That they don't acknowledge. And Holland is a girl that has been hurt by a relationship. She isn't sure she wants to live that life anymore. But she is down for some fun! But the more time they spend together, the more they realize just how perfect that connection is. But there is just so much standing in the way of their happiness.
This book was a roller coaster of emotion. And I was holding out hope that they'd find their way to that amazing HEA that I knew was waiting for them. I had my doubts, knew the odds were stacked against them. But their story is one of hope, second chances, family, and reaching for happiness! It was everything I was hoping for them, an so much more!
What was supposed to be the happiest day of her life has become the most painful as she is betrayed by those she should have been able to trust. Needing to escape the situation she becomes the runaway bride and now finds herself drowning her sorrows on a bench when two men come to her rescue.
Ethan and Lincoln have been best friends since they were teenagers and over time their friendship has evolved into something deeper but rather than discussing them with each other they both keep their feelings to themselves in fear of destroying the relationship that they do have.
When they meet Holland she is the catalyst that forces them to acknowledge what kind of relationship they want with each other and with her. Maneuvering a relationship with two people can be difficult but with three people it is even more challenging. There is not doubting that it takes all three of them to make each other whole but their journey to realize that wasn’t without it’s ups and down. It is always fun to visit the Montgomery’s and this story was no exception.
This was a fun one to read. From the start where Ethan and Lincoln run into Holland to how they went about starting a relationship between the 3 of them. What I really liked was from the start they all acknowledged it was something they wanted and how they would need to work hard at spending time in pairs along with the three of them and how talking about issues would be key. They did have a couple of stumbling steps at first, but they talked things out. Things really were going well until all three of them ran into issues that made them want to run, and run they did. It took on of them to take that first step to fix them. I also loved how they guys told each other that Holland was the cataylst that made them work, because it was true. Holland allowed them to think of what if, and once what if, became that happened, there was no going back!
Wow, this was such an incredible read. I was totally captivated by this complex romance. One thing is for sure, you can expect to experience plenty of feels as Holland, Lincoln and Ethan's story unfolds. I loved each of these characters individually and together I thought they were perfection. These are all complicated characters, so you can't really expect their relationship to be any different. I thought that the author did an amazing job of balancing out the angst, anxiety and unspoken feelings between the two male characters with that instant flare of attraction and spark of chemistry between all three of them. Along with the boatload of emotions and tons of heat, there is also plenty of drama, tension, turmoil and danger added into the mix. This is my independent, impartial review.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Wrapped in Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder #1)
This is Holland, Ethan and Lincoln’s story. Holland ran from her wedding after her sister and fiancée betrayed her. Ethan and Lincoln are best friends. They have both loved each other forever but never let on. Could Holland make them see that love? She gets pulled in and they finally see that she is the piece they have been missing. Can she believe in love again so she can have them both?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
5 star Review Sated in Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder #2) by Carrie Ann Ryan
AUDIO REVIEW:
Carrie Ann Ryan is a relatively new author to me and why that is, I have no idea.
Sated In Ink is a story of love and friendship and is Lincoln, Ethan and Holland’s story. Narrated by Tor Thom who does a good job bringing the story to life. It is a story of misunderstandings, secrets, love and I was cheering for them to get the happily ever after all three of them deserve.
I loved the friendship between Lincoln and Ethan as they finally admitted to their feelings and when Holland was added into the mix, it seemed to complete them.
As always some familiar faces popped in and this added to my enjoyment.
I loved this book! Ethan and Lincoln have been friends forever and both want more yet don’t know how to let that be known. Holland just had her trust destroyed by people she should be able to turn to. They all meet in a very interesting fashion but it works for them and they are immediately connected. Through laughter, tears, trauma and heartache they find out what’s important and struggle to make that a priority. The characters are layered and their chemistry is palatable. This is so good!!!
Best friends Ethan and Lincoln silently fight their attraction for each other until they find a “runaway bride”. Like all true Montgomery’s, that are there to help. After a night of drunken Mario Kart, Holland becomes the catalyst they needed to ensue their relationship between themselves and her. Who doesn’t love a Montgomery story! There is the struggle of attraction, feelings, angst and the fight for the love you want.
Holland Yeaton is ready for the best day of her life – her wedding! But when she walks in on her fiancé cheating on her with her sister, she runs out of the church and wants to get as far away as possible. She finds herself on a park bench in her wedding dress with a bottle of wine in a paper bag. Ethan Montgomery is a computational chemist who has always put his job first and that includes jamming out on his best friend, Lincoln McClard more times than he cares to remember. But some of it could be a bit of a safety net as he has had a crush on Lincoln for as long as he can remember. Lincoln McClard is an artist who lately seems to be struggling with inspiration to create anything new. He doesn’t know if it is because his mind is elsewhere lately or on someone else. When Lincoln and Ethan come upon Holland on her wedding day they take her for coffee and help her get on her feet again. Yet neither man can deny their attraction to Holland and each wonder if Holland could be the answer to what they have been missing in their lives. Yet nothing ever goes as well as you think it will and how much is each willing to sacrifice for a chance at real love and happiness? This was such a good book and I really enjoyed it from start to finish. There were so many moments that I was yelling at the book as the characters were really not listening to what I was telling them to do! My heart went out to Holland for catching her fiancé and sister together and I was shocked that her mom was blaming her for everything. She needed to run far away from that and I really got why she was afraid to get into anything else after that. I liked that she was able to form a friendship with Ethan and Lincoln and how much they helped her begin again. Ethan was a great character who unfortunately was consumed by his work. He had an important job and being single it wasn’t a surprise that he worked so much. That being said he cancelled out many times on Lincoln as he had to work late. I thought it was awesome that he had a crush on Lincoln for so long but was so confused and afraid to act on it as he never wanted to lose the friendship. At first I wasn’t sure what was going to happen with Lincoln but I was laughing when I discovered that he felt the same as Ethan but again was too worried about the consequences to act on how he felt. I liked that he was an artist and it was interesting with how he was struggling and trying to find the root of why he was artistically blocked. The heat of game night absolutely sky rocketed and I was curious to see how far things were going to go. I felt so bad for Ethan in the morning with how he was left by everyone. I was so happy when Lincoln came to talk things through and where that went. I felt horrible for Holland with how she was continually treated by her family and I know that is why she had so many walls up. She knew how much she cared about Lincoln and Ethan but she was afraid to let her guard down. Yet at a certain point life makes everyone re-evaluate things as Ethan keeps missing things and everyone seems to be pulling away. Then a huge event takes place that rocks everyone and my heart once again completely shattered for Ethan. He went through something awful but then he loses everything and I was screaming at the characters in the book for what they did to him. I hated that Lincoln blamed himself and I was super mad at Holland as she always seemed to have one foot out the door. I was so happy for a certain call that Lincoln received that put everything back into perspective and made him realize what he really had to lose. I then proceeded to do a happy dance as everything fell back into place! The end was great and I can’t wait for more in this series! - By Rebecca
We are back in Boulder, Colorado with the Montgomery 's. Sated in Ink is a steamy ménage. Three people come together fighting through their insecurities to make this relationship work.
Ethan Montgomery is a computational chemist not a very exciting job but he loves it. He has known his best friend Lincoln almost all of his life. They have been through everything together, he is like an honorary Montgomery so the fact that Ethan has a crush on Lincoln not only complicates things but it's not something he can explore, he can't lose his best friend.
Lincoln is a successful artist who is dealing with a creative block for some reason he is to in his head, over thinking everything, it doesn't help that he has wanted his best friend for years and can't do anything about it! Ethan and the Montgomery 's are his family, he can't do anything to jeopardize that.
Holland owns her own shop that mainly sells local artisan stuff. She ran out on her wedding when she walked in on her younger sister in a compromising position with her fiancee! From the looks of things it wasn't the first time either. Holland already has a difficult relationship with her parents so leaving the church didn't do her any favors in their eyes no matter the reason.
Ethan and Lincoln meet Holland while out on a jog, seeing a beautiful woman in a park bench in a wedding dress drinking liquor from a paper bag, they felt compelled to help her. These three struggle with some self doubt the reasons are different for each but what happens when they come together is beautiful!
Oh how I missed the Montgomery clan!!! I didn't remember much about Ethan, but I think that made this story even better. I learned loving about him, Lincoln and Holland! One of my favorite parts of Carrie Ann's writing is how she brings us into her characters lives. She always makes so we know JUST enough about a character until it's their turn, and then we get to see them bloom to life.
When we are first introduced to Ethan and Lincoln, I really liked how Carrie Ann put us in their heads. At the same time, it's always frustrating to know that two characters are thinking the same thing and never act on it!! Then we see Holland and I loved how their "knight in shining armor" complex came about. They were so sweet to her and basically just let her know she was there for them. From this moment on I was so beyond hooked!! I was completely obsessed and picking this up every second I got.
From the spicy parts, to the sad parts, to the plot twist we got, it was so perfect! This book took us through the perfect amount of twists and turns and was the perfect roller coaster. I was so emotionally invested in these three and I couldn't wait to see where it lead. My favorite part of this was that everything was so real. They had the most real insecurities and you can 100% relate!
I can't wait to see where Carrie Ann leads us next with the Montgomery clan!
Ethan Montgomery and Lincoln McClard are best friends and have been secretly in love with each other for years, but neither wanted to cross the line and jeopardize their friendship. Ethan and Lincoln come across a woman, Holland Yeaton, in a wedding dress drinking wine from a paper bag in the park. Ethan and Lincoln's protective instincts take over when they spot Holland and then learn her story over a cup of coffee. The chemistry and passion between Ethan, Lincoln, and Holland is explosive. Can Ethan and Lincoln convince Holland she isn't temporary but a permanent part needed for their happily ever after? What happens when Ethan is attacked? Will Lincoln walk away to protect the two people he loves the most? Can Ethan and Holland get Lincoln he is not responsible for the actions of another person? Can Ethan and Lincoln convince Holland they love her as well as each other? Will Holland stop running away and run towards the love she has with Ethan and Lincoln? I absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan! Ms. Ryan is a MUST read author for this reader. Sated In Ink is a fantastic book with amazing characters who will make you laugh out loud one minute and beat your head against the wall the next. I would highly recommend getting Sated In Ink and any other book by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
I had the pleasure of reading Sated in Ink before the release date and it was great! This is the story of Ethan, Liam’s brother who we have met in Wrapped in Ink, who takes a chance on a polyamorous relationship. I really love that this is a topic that can have books on it nowadays, we’ll see some things that people in such relationships struggle with but stories as these are the beginning to acceptance of something that a lot of people still seem to reject. But next to that, is it also a good story, the characters are well thought out although I do feel like Holland could use some more attention. After finishing the story, I still do not feel like I really know Holland. But this did not take away my enjoyment of the story, there is something for everyone in here. There is the love story but also some action and the characters each have their own issues that they deal with in their way. Montgomery fans just cannot miss this story but it is also good as a stand-alone for those that just want to read this story. How do I know? Well honestly, I haven’t been reading a lot of Montgomery lately since I got absorbed into another genre and I am super busy with school, so I forgot most of Wrapped in Ink and had no trouble at all. I definitely would recommend this book!
Sated in emotions Carrie Ann Ryan continues her emotional and hot Montgomery Ink: Boulder Series with Sated in Ink. Ethan Montgomery’s life changed forever that ordinary day he and his best friend Lincoln McClard went for a run. Sitting on a park bench, in a wedding dress with a bottle in hand and eyes the showed to the deepest layers of her soul, Ethan and Lincoln both knew things would never be the same. Holland was at her lowest of lows with two beautiful men stumbled upon a hot mess that her life has become. With her world feeling like everything was lost Holland learned what the heart of a Montgomery heart can do. Hitting hard from page one, Sated in Ink is wrapped in a tangle of emotions, loss of inhibitions and a story of love. From an act of kindness that later leads to a friendship that becomes more. From first kisses Holland, Ethan and Lincoln embrace a passion that immediately forms an intimacy that is something way beyond casual. With inhibitions dropped the feelings at the forefront, Holland, Ethan and Lincoln learn there more if they allow themselves to have it. I am pretty picky when it comes to the ménage reads that I enjoy. Carrie Ann Ryan nails the emotion, passion and compassion with Sated in Ink.
I have been a long time fan of Carrie Ann Ryan and this book is just another fantastic addition to her work. I enjoyed this new addition to the Montgomery world with Ethan, Lincoln and Holland's story. If you are not into menage stories then this one is not for you but if you have no worries, then this is one hot story. I enjoyed watching Ethan and Lincoln's relationship bloom from longtime friends to lovers and then the addition of Holland as she learns to find her inner strength and get over her demons of being left behind. Ethan learned that he needed to balance work and the loves of his life and Lincoln battled being blocked in his art. Holland also worked on not having one foot out the door of her relationships as a protection shield. Through their ups and downs, I enjoyed watching them find their way and get their HEA as I look forward to seeing the rest of this group of Montgomery's stories. I listened to the audio version of this book and this is the first time that I have enjoyed Tor Thom as a narrator. He did a great job with the narration of this story and I look forward to listening to more of his work. I enjoyed this book from the start and I would recommend this book to others.
“Sated In Ink” is my first read by Carrie Ann Ryan and by way of introduction to her work, it most definitely leaves a lasting impression. As a huge fan of MM romances The blurb to this book caught my attention. In it we meet Ethan and Lincoln. Both are openly bisexual and have been best friends since childhood. They are however, in denial. Madly in love with each other but hiding it from one another for fear of ruining their friendship. Enter Holland, a beautifully broken women they “run” into at the park in her wedding dress after finding her fiancé in a compromising position. The three hit it off immediately and their attraction to one another runs deep. Complicated much? Yes, but in a very good way. Holland is exactly what both men need to complete themselves and each other. Watching these three get together despite all the obstacles standing in their way makes for one helluva a wonderful HEA. TBR and enjoy and if you’re like me and a Carrie Ann Ryan newbie, you’ll be TBRing the rest of her fantastic books in this interconnected series as well. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
