My toddler finished working on this workbook! So happy. Her writing looks better. This book teaches all letters of the alphabet and numbers from 1 to 10. The letters are upper case and lower case. There are examples of words using the letters on each page. This workbook is fun and my toddler enjoyed working on it. There's a certificate of completion at the end of the book and she was excited to write her name on it. She enjoyed flipping through the pages and see her hard work. I highly recommend this workbook for all kids!

My five-year-old is currently using this book. It goes through each letter of the alphabet in order (capital and lowercase) and each number; nothing special here. It is visually appealing. It is all tracing; no opportunities for the child to practice on his or her own.
A few of the little arrows and numbers showing how to write the letters are a bit suspect. We don't really teach kids to write M's and N's by doing both outer lines first and then filling in the middles, do we? My son also finds the binding frustrating; the book doesn't lay flat and it is hard for him to hold down the pages and write at the same time.
We use a highlighter for tracing the letters so he can still see the lines. It glides smoothly on the page and reduces frustrations. I appreciate that the paper is matte. All in all, this is a serviceable enough book but nothing special. I'm sure there are both better and worse handwriting books out there. But this one is working okay for my beginner who has been writing letters on his own for a long time and needs to get used to the constraints of lines and such.
This adorable book is the perfect way to teach children to write their letters and numbers. Starting with the simplest tracing of lines and shapes, this book provides pages of writing practice for little fingers all through the alphabet and numbers. There is even a Certificate of Completion at the back of the book!
The colorful illustrations will engage the attention of young writers, and there are games and simple puzzles to solve. The lines for tracing are large, so that a child could use a crayon or marker in the beginning as they learn to trace the lines and hold a pencil correctly.
There are also directions for the parent or teacher about how to guide the child through the book, and help them learn to hold their pencil or crayon properly. The instructions are easy to follow.
This is the perfect book to prepare a young child for kindergarten, and teach them writing skills at home!
