This is one of my all-time favourite Fanfiction stories (and one i go back and reread every few years) that follows the Harry Potter Series in a "what-if" adventure, where Harry is abandoned by the Dursleys and raised by Goblins in Gringotts. The version of Harry that arrives at Hogwarts is like nobody expects, an extremely competent young man with plans for his future and the means to see those plans to fruition. Loosely following the events of the Canon, Harry steamrolls through his time at Hogwarts while standing up for himself (and especially those he cares about) and righting wrong where he sees it.
I will say that while the characters in this story sometimes feel overpowered, but I feel like it's a nice balance of contrast to the original series and how unprepared and untrained Harry was. However, this doesn't feel cheap because Robst spends time establishing how they earn their advantages. They spend time training, work hard under high stakes, and "get good" in a really satisfying way that has you believing in what they can do. Once the bad guys lose all their advantages, what do they really have going for them? What good is Voldemort without his Systemic Racism?
If there were questions you had reading Harry Potter, like "Why would the dursleys take in this orphan when they are just going to abuse him the whole time?", "Why is Dumbledore such a manipulative bastard?", "Why are the civil rights in this universe so Wack?", or especially, "how would things have gone if Harry knew what was going on the whole time?", then this story might be a fun way for you to explore those questions.
It's definitely worth the read, and it's probably even worth going back to Fanfiction.net to read as well.
