This story was cute. It's almost exactly likes the episode it's based on only it's told completely as if Sofia is telling the story. The pictures could have been better but overall the book was pretty good.

My daughter absolutely adores Sofia the First, and I am fully behind her completely enjoying each and every story of hers. Whether it is reading, watching or hearing- Sofia the First is a force to be reckoned with in this household!

"Disney Sofia the First Princesses to the Rescue" is a cute little tale about three princesses who saved the day! No one gave them the time of day when they offered to help rescue the others, but when pushed came to shove these princesses showed what they were made of. With the help of Mulan- another princess- they three young ladies save two kings and two princesses.

My little girl loves Sofia. The art styling in Hapka's stories is pretty. The story follows the episode from the Disney Junior show.

Not my cup of tea. Her Dad didn't believe in her, concerns about hair and looks, princesses...we will pass on this gift.

This was so cute! I read with my daughters and they loved the cameo by Mulan! This teaches that anyone can be a hero. I wanna get the other books in this series now for them.

Princess Sofia and her family are visiting the kingdom of Wei-Ling. Her brother James and Prince Jin find a treasure map and set out to find the treasure. However, the treasure they seek is protected by a jaguar, so their fathers set out to rescue them. The girls are told they cannot come because it is too dangerous. The girls then learn about a trap and set out to rescue their families. They overcome many obstacle, and eventually end up rescuing their fathers and brothers.

As a Disney lover, I am biased towards this book. I love the message this sends to little girls about never believing you don't have the ability to do something. It does not always have to be the princes rescuing the princesses, but it can also be the reverse. The story is very cute and fun to read. I can see it becoming a favorite of children after reading it through.

This is a short children’s story about believing in yourself. Unlike other Sofia the First books where it was good for both boys and girls, this one focuses on the message that girls are just as able to do strenuous or dangerous activities as boys are. Mulan is also on hand to stress the importance of not giving up when things get rough. While I like the message that this book offers, I have found that their appeal is in the fact that they can be used as a teaching tool for both genders. This book deviates from that and thus makes it more difficult to use in a classroom setting or as a teaching tool for a boy.

Meh too commercial for me, but teaches kids to believe in themselves. Thus, no one star review, but I couldn't go higher than that.

Yes, I'm claiming this one! I read it cover to cover to 3 wiggling nieces, and I actually really enjoyed it. I'm glad there are characters like Sofia the First for our little girls.

Still has those adorable illustrations that delight both me and my daughter. Not as enchanting a story as 'The Floating Palace', but the message of strong, smart girls is appreciated.
