This is a good book for looking up diagnostic test results, what they mean, and possible causes for the results. It also has tips on what patients need to do before labs are drawn (ie: NPO prior to test).

Gives you types of tests done in a clinical setting. It mentions why they are done and possible causes of the particular lab values. Over all a good textbook.
