Well, that was unexpected. I heard about this alternate universe storyline and decided to read it. I was not expecting the corny Power Rangers from my childhood to be this brutal and bloody. Really clears things up that they are in fact people given super powers, weapons, and huge machinery to fight interdimensional alien monsters and others with insane power.
I planned on writing reviews on all my books this year and didn't even plan on this one. Would definitely recommend these comics.
Been a fan of the Rangers since it debut in '94 and watch every season since, but the best storyline as always been the introduction of the Green Ranger, and second, the White Ranger. So this was the first power ranger comic I've ever read and mind blown. Can't wait to read the next book.
I read these a little backwards but I still enjoyed it. I love a good what if and getting this what if Tommy Oliver remained the evil ranger is nice. I think I need to get some of the other comic books so I can understand some of the stuff that happens in between.
This collection selectively compiles issues from the comic series, centering on the ascent of Drakkon. While it’s engaging, the omission of certain subplots can lead to gaps in understanding. To truly grasp the nuances, I’d recommend reading the full comics before diving into this compilation.
On its own, it might leave readers a tad perplexed. That said, this focused portrayal elevates Drakkon, emphasizing his stature as a formidable antagonist. The series’ subplots sometimes diluted this impact, making this compilation a welcome concentration on his character.
