All her life, Heather has lived with the knowledge that at any moment, she might lose control and turn into a murderous beast. The Loup-Garou virus lives in all female shifters and can manifest at any time before their thirty-first birthday—which is still a year away. Only thanks to her family’s protection is she living a life free, instead of behind bars. So when her mother cons the new King of their House into mating her off to a political rival, Heather feels little choice but to agree. Even if that man is the complete opposite of the person she truly longs for…
Logan has led the rebels of House Canis in their long struggle for freedom, and now that they’ve ousted the former Tyrant King from their ancestral home of Moonshadow Manor, his followers have all but anointed him their ruler. The position is tenuous at best until the official coronation ceremony, however, and a string of bad decisions leaves him vulnerable to several political figures. He must focus on keeping his House united, which means giving his blessing for the only woman he’s ever cared about to be mated to someone else.
Although their relationship may have ended three years earlier, that doesn’t mean their feelings have been extinguished by time. If anything, the flame has burned higher with distance. Both Logan and Heather are fighting their hearts, trying to do what they see as their responsibility to House Canis instead. It’s what’s demanded of them by their peers, and by their own sense of morals. But the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to resist temptation. Will they be able to find a way to be together, or will duty win out over desire?
Riley is one of those early-morning people you love to hate, because she swears she doesn't need caffeine, even though the coffee-maker is connected to her smartphone. She lives in a three-story townhouse by the good graces of a tabby-cat who rules the house, the couch, the table, well, basically everywhere. When she's not groveling for forgiveness for neglecting to pet her kitty enough, Riley is strapped in to her writing chair coming up with crazy worlds where she can make her own decisions of when feeding time is and how much coffee can be drank without her friends--of which she has three--holding yet another intervention that they threaten to post on the internet.

Everyone deserves a second chance This author continues to capture my imagination with this newest addition to her rebel wolves. Poor Logan finally returns the rebels to their home only to learn he must give up his one true love. Or does he? With this book, we continue to watch our favorite wolves grow as a people and what it really means to sacrifice for the greater good. Well, until these two realize their HEA is just within their grasp. You guys are going to enjoy this book as a stand-alone or as part of the series. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.
"Royal Alpha" is the fifth and final installment in the exciting High House Canis series. This fast-paced, action-packed story will keep your heart racing from start to finish, filled with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you on your toes.
In this installment, shifters are pitted against one another as a power-hungry individual takes control, forcing brothers and friends to choose sides. Amidst the action and danger, strong-willed women capture the hearts of these fierce wolf shifters. However, in doing so, they find themselves facing serious threats at their doorstep.
This compelling narrative showcases the author's talent for developing relatable characters and intricate plots. I look forward to seeing how the series unfolds!
Heather has lived all her life with the knowledge that at any moment she could turn in a murderous beast and only her family’s protection has kept her being imprisoned, so when her mother cons the new king into mating her off to a political rival, Heather has no choice but to agree. Logan’s new position as King of the House Canis is tenuous as best and he’s vulnerable to several political figures, so in order to keep his house united, he gives his blessing for the only woman he’s every cared about to mated to someone else.
The relationship between Logan and Heather has lots of chemistry heating up the pages but this relationship is rocky at best and doomed if duty has it way. These strong, bold characters are both stubborn and determined to let duty hold sway over their hearts desires which keeps emotions high and quite turbulent throughout the story along with all of the turmoil that goes along with trying to protect the people of Moonshadow Manor and keep the greedy political figures from gaining a foothold.
This final book in the ‘High House Canis’ series is a lot going on and readers can’t help but get caught up in the fast paced action and excitement as Logan and his allies search for the previous king which leads to several deadly battles and the conniving political maneuvering keeps everyone on edge. Twists and spectacular magical battles take place throughout the story as well adding to the excitement and suspense ensuring that readers never find a dull moment in this stimulating read…and that’s not to mention the stunning conclusion.
Heather returned to Moonshadow Manor to the Royal Court at High House Canis. She has been living elsewhere for 3 years to keep her safe while the battle was raging between the evil tyrant King and the Rebels. Called back once the fighting was over, Heather hadn’t realized that Logan, the man she loved at the time she and her mother were sent away, is now King. But her mother, greedy and intent on gaining more power for herself, has arranged for her to marry someone else who disgusts her. Her mother always had taken credit for the fact that Heather was not thrown into a cage while they waited for her 31st birthday to see if she would experience the dreaded Loup-Garou virus and become a dangerous beast. That won’t interfere with her mother’s plans, however, and she pushes forward with the wedding. Can Logan and Heather get her out of the detestable marriage contract? Will they admit their love and find their own HEA?
This series has been wonderful. The story line and detail provided in describing the characters and clearly illustrating their qualities by their actions grab the reader from the start to follow along in the adventure. Get your copy and see if this exciting story resolved as you had hoped and if Logan and Heather can find a way to be together as they were meant to be.
Heather returns to the Royal Court at the High House Canis after living away while the strife was going on between the Tyrant King and the Rebels. When she left she left behind the man she'd loved, Logan, the head man for the Rebels. Her whole life she'd been told by her mother that she (Heather) was being protected by her from being thrown into a cage to live out her life while waiting until her thirty-first birthday to find out whether or not the dreaded Loup-Garou virus would turn her into a dangerous beast. Imagine her mother's horrific surprise when they return to court to be welcomed by the victorious King, to come face to face with none other than Logan, the new King of the High house. I loved this book, but then I love wolves anyway. I have read every book that has been in this series, and have to admit that I can't wait to find out what comes next by this author. Keep up the great work! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book via Bad Boy Update.
ONE AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! Holy hotcakes! An amazing wild ride that keeps you on a razors edge as everything falls into place with such perfection it totally rocked this little gem to the core. Hurdling the trials and tribulations witnessing the struggle the characters experienced with all the drama and suspense that's as riveting as it is captivating. One skillfully woven storyline with a thrilling plot melds this baby together piece by piece. A churning eddy of daunting mishaps and astonishing events launch a full range of spinning emotions bursting into play front and center. The chemistry between the two main characters is sizzling, intense and palpable. The characters are authentic, relatable and realistic with depth and qualities that blend in a smooth flowing rhythm. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Riley, thanks for sharing this awesome gem with us.
This is a fantastic story in the series. I love reading anything by Riley Storm. I couldn't put this story down.
Logan is the King of the House of Canis. His group has disposed the previous Tyrant King but the House is not completely united yet. Heather has come home with her mother after being in exile. Her mother is calling the shots and has arranged her marriage to solidify her political power. There is not really anything that Heather can do about it. Logan and Heather had something before she left. They try to stay away from their feelings but they don't succeed. Will they figure out a way to work things out?

A Beautifully Written Series! Another wonderful story in this great shifter saga. This book concluded the House Canis and the love story between Heather and the future king Logan. Of course nothing comes without battle, mischief and mayhem...which there is much of. There is a not only a resolution but a tiny look at what House will be the focus of the next story. The author is a superb storyteller and is able to bring remarkable characters to life on the pages. For this reason I’m definitely recommending this book and the series for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. I received this ARC from “Bad Boy Update” for my honest review so I’m leaving this for your consideration. Peace.
Love, love Logan's story! Logan is now King and has recalled the family that fled during their civil war. Heather has never forgotten, nor forgiven Logan for making her leave 3 years ago. Upon her return she, and her mother, are stunned that he is in power. She is happy for him and her House, but now she realizes that she can no longer avoid her arranged mating, even if she is harboring an awful virus. This is a tale of guilt, regret, longing and the hope of a second chance all while trying to restore House Canis to the glory it once had. Such a fabulous story line...and the ending....well now I can't wait for the next House in this series!!!
Heather is returning to Moonshadow Manor and the New King who rules the House of Canis. Coming back to Moonshadow Manor with her mother Heather is unaware that the man she had cared for before they left three years ago Logan is now King. Her mother has contracted her to another who she hates and who repulses her but who her mother wants to have on her side as she tries to gain more power and gain the throne. Heather and Logan still have the spark between them they need to defeat those in opposition to them and get Heather out of her marriage contract. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book was about a group of rebel wolves led by Logan overthrowing an evil, greedy king. Heather has just returned to Moonlight Manor after her mother was forced to go to Australia! Heather is shocked to see her old love Logan is the new king. Her mother Miriam is powerful in her own right and her greed for more power causes endless problems for her daughter. This book had plenty of action, drama and political intrigue! Add in romance and you have a winning combo! I enjoyed this book and recommend it!
Wow! I cannot express how much I love Riley Storm and this series. Logan is finally the new king in House Canis and gets his chance at fixing his house and getting his mate. But Heather's mother promised her to another and Logan has the battle of letting it play out or claiming his mate for himself. The surprises keep coming and there is always something you do not expect. I cannot wait to see what book comes next and how they all will play out at the end. I know there has to be more to come.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. What an amazingly perfect conclusion of the High House Canis series. Heather and Logan deeply care for each other and go way back. But as King of House Canis he's got to approve the arranged mating between Heather and Leonen - the wannabe King... And there's also the Tyrant King still somewhere... I very enjoyed reading through this one and the last chapter leaves much room for another story of another House... Wonderful.
ARC review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Now that Logan's rebellion has entered and took over the moonshadow manor and he's going to be king while he's trying to get the house in order. Heather and Miriam her mother are back after being exiled to Australia . Awesome story 10 stars
This was a great story. It was well written and fast paced. The chemistry between the characters was sizzling hot. This book has everything you need to keep you turning pages hot sexy men, steamy scenes and some conflict thrown in. I cannot wait for what this author writes next.

This continues to be a fun series wish it would be about 30 pages longer to give more development and wrap up a few other items mostly just interested in the world and what is going to happen next
This is a really great series! I love the characters and the storyline. Great chemistry between Logan and Heather. Can they find true love again? Will I voluntarily received this arc book from Bad Boy Update for an honest review”
Another action packed addition to this series. Logan and Heather were great characters within and I thought it was once again an enjoyable read that kept my attention throughout.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading Heather & Logan's story very much. I love reading a happy ever after story it makes my day. Thank you for writing this story.
I have enjoyed reading this series. There are some editing issues, but nothing that would detract from the story. The characters are well defined and the storyline is solid. While there is no cliff hanger, the dragons do make an entrance, setting up the “High House Draconis” series. I strongly believe that something will occur over the course of the 5 Draconis books that will cause the shifter houses to band together. And. I. Can’t. Wait!!
Logan and Heather was a truly awesome story! This one was my favorite so far. With so much drama, there were a funny parts! High House of Canis was finally at peace also!
I love all of Rileys books. The seires high house canis was great! The characters Logan and Heather was good. Made me laugh. Grate love story and great ending. Would recommend to all my friends.
This is the fifth and final story in the series High House Canis. You do not have to read the previous stories to follow this story, but it does help. The previous stories tell the tail on how the previous King of the High House Canis became a tyrant and was only interested in his own power and wealth and didn't care about anything or anyone else. It caused a split in the house with those who only cared about power and wealth and those that cared about what is right. There have been battles fought where the so called rebels won the battle, but the tyrant former king was still in hiding and trying to kill the new king. That is where this story starts, where the rebels are now in the House, the mansion/castle that they all live in. The new king hasn't been sworn in yet, and he still has to appoint his Council members. Just like all the previous stories in this series, it is very well created with world building and all the fantastic characters and how they all relate to each other.
Heather is a female wolf shifter. All female shifters are born with the Loup-Garou virus that can manifest anytime before their 31st birthday. They can become a werewolf, half human - half wolf, no mind control, full of rage and wanting to kill everything it comes in contact with. Some shifters will outright kill any females, some may imprison them, just in case they change. Heather's mother, such a peach of a female, is uber power/wealth hungry, to the point that she has arranged a mating for her daughter to a male who has as much power/wealth as her family. Between the two families, they almost have enough power they could possibly rule the king, or displace the king. Heather's mother has been protecting her from being either killed or imprisoned by keeping her with her and guarded. Three years ago, before the tyrant king caused the civil war, Heather and Logan were kind of together. They did have one little problem which kept them apart. He would never listen to what she had to say about things. Things haven't changed since he became King and she and her mother came back from Australia. She told him something was a trap, he didn't listen and lives were lost. He also approved of the arranged mating between her and another.
Logan was the Knight to the King of the House Canis before the civil war. He was the King's heir, but totally disagreed with what he was doing, so he left before he was killed. He lead a group of others who had the same vision and mindset for what the House should be. They won their way back, but still had to fight the old king and had so many issues with people who had the old mindset where they were after more power and wealth above the welfare of the pack. When he was asked to approve the previous arranged mating between his old girlfriend and another, he felt that he had to, he had to sacrifice his own happiness for the betterment of the House. He still had a hard time keeping his hands off of her when they were in private, but he didn't think he had the right to claim her for himself. When Heather told him that he needed to start acting like the King, like the Alpha of the pack, that maybe people would start to treat him as such, he finally listened to what she said, and he saw immediate results. He realized that he had never listened to what she said, even before the war.
I thought it was tricksee on how Riley Storm kind of sneaked in a hint of the next series in this fantastic story of the groups of shifters. Looking forward to the next series since I know what a fantastic story teller she is!

Heart, Head, Loyalty, Obligation? What's a person to do? Heather lived away from home with the fear that the loup-garou virus could erupt before her 31st birthday, which was next year and turn her into a monster. Her mom cons Logan into agreeing to let Heather marry the head of a rival House. Heather feels she needs to do as her Mom wishes because she had been protecting her, her entire life. Logan led the rebels in a coup of their old king and reclaims Moonshadow Manor. He didn't kill the King though. A few bad decisions, cause his follows to question his leadership. His latest decision to let Heather marry another wakes him up. Heather and Luke had a previous relationship that fizzled but didn't really end. Between Heather and all the intrigue, conflicts, trials, miscommunications and family baggage, Logan has his hands full navigating ruling the House of Canis. Will Heather reconize her Mom's manipulation? Will the old King stay down? Will Logan settle into his position? Will Heather and Logan put loyalty over love? Fantastic read. I want to read the rest of the series now. Wonderful description, great character depth. Well done, Riley! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
